To be fair to Kaos it’s very explicit about how within the world of the show, the mythology we know irl varies in truthfulness. In universe the myths are stories the gods spin in order to keep mortals worshipping them, and fueling their power. It’s not really meant to be an actual adaptation of myth, so yes Hera cheats despite supposedly being the goddess of marriage, she’s a hypocrite and that’s the point. Actual mythological Hera is essentially her pr personality. I think if you go in accepting that it’s much easier to stomach. But I know it’s not for everyone lol, took me a while to get there myself and the only reason I kept watching past like episode two was cause I was watching with other people

Yeah, that's all fair. I don't think (or really, know) if the show itself is actually good or bad, I just know that the choices they made that I have seen are not to my liking.

That said, when I saw all the spoilers for X Men Dark Phoenix I was really annoyed. But by the time I finally saw the film I was prepared for and accepted the bits I disliked, so it ended up being one of my favourite of the X Men films. So maybe this will be the same thing and when I do watch it, I'll be prepared for the bits I disliked and will actually end up liking the show as a whole! (I'm already kind of over the final episode twist - though I will be honest, even with your sound explanation, I still don't like Hera being a cheater. Just feels like they could have shown her as a hypocrite in other ways than using the one thing Zeus always did to hurt her most of all.)

Was looking at refs and since Viktor has two different leg braces I was wondering, do we think he wears them simultaneously?? The refs don't perfectly line up perspective-wise so it's hard to tell but parts of the one he wears during the Hexcore scenes look like they could maybe line up with the brace that he wears over his clothes, but also some parts really don't and look like they'd be super uncomfy. Also HOW does he take these on and off. Experts weigh in

Being someone who read Under The Red Hood and came out with the firm belief that, for Jason, it's not about killing Joker, it's about Jason wanting proof Batman would choose him over the Joker (bc shelia chose the joker). Jason could've killed the Joker himself, really, really easily. Jason kidnaps the Joker before the confrontation. I can't open my comic for a reference right now, but it felt like he had the Joker for quite a bit before the confrontation. He had him. He beat him up with a crowbar. He had every single opportunity to kill the Joker himself, but he didn't because that wasn't his goal. Make no mistake, he did plan for the Joker to be dead by the end of it, but do you see what im trying to say here

It's not about making Batman kill either. When Batman says he won't kill, Jason adjusts and goes, 'Let ME kill the Joker or kill me to stop me' instead. The test is all about Batman choosing him. The whole final confrontation is Jason's first death again. The parent, The Joker, and the explosives. It even ends with Jason unable to move as a bomb goes off right next to him again because the parent didn't choose Jason. i’m very sorry that society has made you feel this way about your fellow disabled people. i hope you can reflect on why you believe that other people with worse symptoms than you are bringing down this community and giving us a bad name.

i am also sorry that society makes you believe that in order for disabled people to be respected we have to consistently be working toward a nebulous goal of self improvement and overcoming of disability as to not be perceived as lazy and inconsiderate by the world.

One thing I find especially fascinating are the people who are on a Pacifist Route in Deltarune yet also choose to play the secret S-rank video game in Chapter 3. The Undertale/Deltarune universe prefers that fights be solve pacifistically and people who are making the effort to spare/recruit know this. Yet, when you're presented with this 8-bit virtual world, you resort right into treating this game like you would any other RPG: find a weapon, kill the monsters, get stronger.

My thoughts are all jumbled up but I'll try sorting them out in a clear/concise way: This is all about abstraction. How many layers of "This isn't real" do you need to be removed from your actions before you stop feeling empathy for the monsters? Sure, if you're in a Pacifist/Neutral Run, you won't hurt Kris's friends/family/fellow Lightners (like what you're doing to Noelle in the Weird Route). And if you're doing a Pacifist Run, you're sparing and recruiting the Darkners in battle (or if this is a Neutral Run, you may be attacking them, but they just run off when they're defeated. They don't die). But when you're put into an RPG game set within the fantastical setting of the Dark World--which is just a reflection of the objects in the Light World, an illusion like Ralsei says--which is then set within the game of Deltarune, suddenly it becomes acceptable to kill the monsters again. They become less real to you.

Several of my friends that I've talked to about the S-rank game tell me how they responded with abject horror when they stabbed Susie and Ralsei in the third level and that makes me wonder why? They can't talk to you or do much of anything besides follow you. They're not the real Susie and Ralsei; they're out in the green room waiting on you. These versions are abstractions, no different from all the other monsters in this video game world that you killed. So why do you feel so differently?

one of my favorite clark headcanons that i have (that is completely unsupported by canon) is that he's transgender by kryptonian standards. martha and jon kent raised him as a boy and as he grew up he never had any reason to doubt it at all, he was like yeah i'm a boy, makes sense. and then he gets to the fortress of solitude for the first time and it turns out how Gender works on krypton was just Different enough that clark doesn't really fit the kryptonian standards of whatever he was supposed to be. bonus points because this makes him feel like even more of an outsider as a kryptonian, even if he's the last one left.
