Have to preface this that I don't know Nexus. I know Nexus Lexis for research purpose.

Looks like the nexus owners don't remember the Ann Rice trials the fanfic community has been subjected to.

So, the other day, when I was discussing AO3's policy on solicitation, a tumblr user came at me saying that AO3's "no monetization/solicitation" rules were "bullshit" because nexus mods allows fan created mods to get paid.

deltarune heights (the topic haunted me during writing)

i'm probably far from the first person to do this but i got hung up on what the possible heights of all the characters could be when tinkering with a fic

here we've got the sprite comparison. i lined them all up according to the sprite sheet's boxes (yes, susie's shoes are apparently big enough to warrant that one pixel lower)

as you can see from the lines i drew, it's hard to be precise at the pixel scale. the lines are thick but they're only one pixel tall. i resorted to going with the bottom of the line being the tip of the character's head. i forewent the fluff/feathery bits at the top of ralsei and birdly's heads, though.

i did my best to measure out heights teenagers might reasonably have into the height comparison site and then fiddled with the numbers until it fit and the line at the top of the head coincided with my comparison lines' bottom.

i feel like that was the best way to make it as accurate as possible.

of course there is also a possibility kris is of average height and all monsters are just bigger, but that would put even just toriel (measured her as well even if i didn't put her here, she'd be 6'6 in this comp if you're curious) at over 7 feet which. as i said, uh, possible! but less probable to me.

overall, all i mostly wanted was the intervals between all of them to be a bit clearer. you just gotta add like half a foot to all of them if you really want kris to be of average human height.

what we've got then is:

kris - 5'0 ft (152 cm) ralsei - 5'2 ft (157 cm) berdly - 5'5 ft (165 cm) noelle - 5'8.5 ft (174 cm) susie - 6'0 ft (183 cm)

reflections: this fandom forgets too often that a. kris is tiny!! they're so small!! points and laughs. no wonder susie can just pick them up and throw them b. ralsei is taller than kris! it's real close but it's there! c. i prolly could've nudged berdly downwards to make his feet look more like they're standing on the ground but i kept to my sprite box rules, ok that's all byeee

they should do another tv show about the jedi but actually lean into an episodic nature. instead of having a static main cast, have a constantly rotating ensemble one to show the various ways the jedi help/live in the galaxy. like star wars visions except live action. i think that would be fun + add constraints (1 plot per episode) that would force the writers to keep each episode tight/not have the crutch of "we can expand this character later/add a random one-off NPC to introduce a critical plot point and then vanish forever" to fall back on. imo star wars has always done better with movies than shows and i think this would be a lovely marriage between the two. have a c-plot throughline tying all the episodes together for the final episode to resolve w/ cameos from characters that had episodes about them throughout the season. like atp they have so many of these mid to flop shows floating around might as well just add another one just to see if it breaks the curse. statistically speaking they've got to strike gold eventually

Hc time: the Ghost crew has very little clothing, Zeb less so due to size. So later in my Overcoming series after Zeb and Kallus are married, Zeb really doesn’t think about clothing too much. When his jumpsuit needs to be washed before worn, other than Kallus’s spandex shorts, all he has left is this:

His jumpsuit was a gold color, a reb tabard over it with fine gold embroidery about it held on with a gold ornate belt. Last time Hera saw this outfit they had picked him up from Lasan, for her it was a small smile of nostalgia. Last time Chopper did, well he just laughed at Zeb getting a fang bared snarl from the Lasat. As for Kallus? Last time Kallus did saws during the siege, for him it felt like his chest had collapsed in on it’s self. Kallus was the last to rise, averting his eyes from Zeb.

Soooo more my HC color combinations stood for your rank as High Honor Guard Royal Red and Gold were his. And that’s the only thing Zeb has left to wear.

like it feels so icky seeing them pop up- how deplorable and disgusting of a human do you have to be to have a fake girlfriend who can't do anything- like do you hate real women that much you had to make fake ones that can't say no to you?
