holy shit that was within a minute of me posting that hi

this is focaccia i made last month (focaccia is such an easy bread and also. i love it.) it’s only half rosemary because i wasn’t sure what my family wanted

Started thinking about this silly idea & couldn't stop. 💕 Have some domestic fluff for Rolan, Dammon, & Zevlor!

Tiefling bachelors: in the kitchen

Dammon:

Dammon makes depression meals

They don't depress him…just Tav and all of his friends and anyone who sees him eating

He gets into a really deep flow when he's working in his forge. It can be half the day before he surfaces and realizes the sun is setting, and that his stomach's been growling for hours

He's never enjoyed cooking for the fun of it, and grabbing a couple things saves so much time

Dammon would be charmed if you invited yourself over to make dinner at his place

Smelling something delicious wafting out the windows of his kitchen makes him feel very at-home

No one's made a home cooked meal for him in years. He would find it really romantic

Rolan:

Surprisingly competent in the kitchen though it's not by choice

When Cal & Lia were still little and Rolan was supporting the three of them, he tried to provide structure & make their tiny rental in Elturel feel like home

Making sure there was something hot to eat at the end of the day was simple but comforting for them

It also forced him to choose healthier—on his own, Rolan would probably prefer a few glasses of wine over solid food

As soon as Cal was tall enough, he took over kitchen duty and has been the family chef ever since

Rolan could be convinced to make dinner with you, particularly if you bossed him around

He'd grumble and tease you about making an archmage be your sous chef. But internally he loves letting himself be whipped for you, even just in the kitchen

Zevlor:

He's spent most of his life eating in mess halls or surviving on standard rations on the road

After hanging up his sword, he finally gets the opportunity to explore interests that he never had time for

Becomes an excellent self-taught baker

The patience of it, the kneading and rising and shaping of the dough—it's like a form of meditation for him

I imagine him retiring to a nice cottage somewhere with land where he grows an impressive vegetable garden

Bakes you a beautiful focaccia bread, carefully topped with herbs that are shaped and arranged to look like flowers

First TV show watched: none yet ! I recently finished watching every season of the great british baking show and it put me into a bit of TV burnout so im in my gaming era rn 🙂‍↕️

First book read: Superman: Lost ! its the one where superman gets lost in space for 20 years and has an existential crisis when he finally gets back home 🤭 not my fav Superman comic ever bc it makes some .. strange narrative choices .. but its home to one of my fav ever covers bc look at how sad he is 👇

First fanfic read: secondhand smoke by princess mach YUHHHH its a death mark fic 🧍‍♂️i read like no 1st person POV fics but I took a chance on this one and am so glad I did bc it left me gagged. what an eat

First dinner I had: lord this is challenging my awful fucking memory bc i rlly don’t remember. i think it was a one pot chicken dish w mashed potatoes, green olives, and rosemary focaccia and it was so yum but im probably wrong

First food i ate: spare me yall I don’t even remember what I ate today .. but ummmm .. knowing me it was one of those little activia probiotic drinks. my IBS sisters .. rise up with me

• Setting: A large blanket spread across soft grass, surrounded by flickering candles or fireflies. A thermos of something warm, maybe a charcuterie board, wine or tea. The stars above, the moon casting silver on his partner’s hair. He would eat that up.

• Mood: He’s effortlessly charming, teasing and playful, but not obnoxious. He’d lean close during conversations, make jokes that toe the line between clever and flirtatious, and laugh whenever he manages to fluster you. His attention would never drift, he’s locked in, entirely present.

• Actions: Expect him to feed his date little bites just to watch their reaction, brush a stray strand of hair aside dramatically, or trace a fingertip down their arm while he’s telling a story just to see them shiver. It’s theatrical and intimate, he enjoys the game.

• Why this suits him: Matt is very sensory-oriented. He’s drawn to atmosphere, intimacy, and control in subtle ways. A date like this gives him all of that: privacy, soft lighting, emotional intensity, and space for charm and mischief to breathe.

What he wouldn’t like:

• Loud, messy places with no room for chemistry.

• Overly rigid plans or sterile environments.

• Being ignored or outshined in conversation (he’s vain; let’s be honest).

He doesn’t just want fun, he wants an experience. Something he can savor. And a dreamy moonlit picnic with just enough tension and sweetness? That’s exactly his flavor.

Matt’s Perfect Picnic Menu:

1. Charcuterie Board (his pride and joy):

• A variety of soft and hard cheeses: brie, gouda, aged cheddar.

• Sweet touches like figs, honeycomb, and dark chocolate squares.

• Crackers, toasted baguette slices, maybe even rosemary focaccia.

Matt would probably feed you bits while watching your reactions closely.

He’d absolutely feed you a chocolate covered strawberry.

3. Dark Chocolate Tart or Tiramisu in Little Jars:

Something decadent to end on. Rich, but elegant.

He’d love to see your face melt at the taste, then smirk like, “Yeah, seems I brought the good stuff, hm?”

favourite summertime activity

Eggplant parm and burrata with pesto and focaccia. The ratio of breading to eggplant wasn’t great but the burrata was 💕💕💕

At Spa last year I saw him being really embarrassing over Max on the sprint podium and I said OH. this guy is a loser. And haven’t looked back.

My family spends some time in the mountains every summer to hike and pick cherries and kayak. We went last weekend and I’ll be enjoying my cherries for the next month.
