AITA for banning a minor from a discord server?
I'm pretty sure I'm nta, since most of the server backed me up, but I am also autistic and would like some impartial judgement. I (23M) am the mod of a fairly small (~40 people) discord server. The server is focused around a character we all like, and frequently includes discussion, art, and fic related to this character, various ships, and 18+ content ranging from tame fluffy smut to much darker, dead-dove type content (largely because the original source material is pretty dark). For this reason this server is strictly 18+. We don't really have specific 18+ channels, and a few of the artists in the server are primarily NSFW artists.
I only became the (sole) mod about 3 months ago, when the previous mod/admin (who started the server) didn't have time anymore. For the most part things are very chill- I've never had to deal with any conflicts before this, the worst problems I've had are trying to keep the bots running and channels organized.
The youngest member of our server is (we thought) 18, the next youngest being 20. I recently found out through a series of screenshots that the youngest member is actually 17, turning 18 in about six months. I asked them about this in dms, since the screenshots were from their priv account on twitter (of them jokingly bragging about getting away with telling people they were 18 when they weren't). (and regardless of whether or not this was true, I wanted to let them know if someone on their priv was taking and spreading screenshots).
They got very upset at the screenshots being leaked (which is fair) but also confirmed that they were 17. I said that I was going to have to ban them from the server due to the NSFW content and they got very upset, saying I was infantilizing them etc. They also briefly tried to backtrack and say that they were just joking about being 17 and were actually 18, but stopped when i didnt believe them. I explained it wasn't about maturity-- imho if they are mature enough to handle the source material, they're mature enough to be in the server- but rather that there are potential legal repercussions for having a minor in a NSFW space. I even said that, while I was upset about them lying, I would even be open to letting them rejoin the server after they turned 18 (AFAIK they weren't lying about their bday, they just said they were a year older than they actually are to get into 18+ spaces).
They were really angry about this so I put it to the server for a vote and to let everyone know what was happening. Honestly I don't know what I would have done if the server voted to keep them in, but they voted almost unanimously to ban them at least until they were 18. I'm not on twitter anymore but I know that several of the people on there also blocked them from their accounts (since they posted 18+ art, fic, etc).
Other relevant info:
- this person didn't actually post any art or fic that was outright explicit, but they definitely participated in NSFW discussions (all fandom related, nothing related to personal lives).
- they were added to the server by the original admin--she apparently had no idea they were underage and also blocked them from her twt account.
The younger person is really upset at me and has sent me multiple angry paragraphs in dms about how I was ruining their fandom experience, discriminating against them just because they were a minor, and said that this wouldn't be an issue if we weren't all so porn-addicted. I half jokingly replied that I'm not sure how the last one could be an issue for me personally, given that I'm asexual, which they then said was problematic for implying ace people couldn't watch porn (???). I stopped replying since I didn't know how to respond and they have sent me some more messages in the same vein (I'm bullying them, all of their online friends hate them because of me, etc).
Kind of unrelated, but I don't actually know who on their priv took the original screenshots- they have ~80 followers on there, none of whom are in the server as far as I can tell. The person who sent me the pics is someone in the server, who said she got it from someone who is actually on the priv account (because she posts 18+ art and the person who took the SSs wanted to let her know that a minor was following her).
Why I may be TA: I do genuinely think this person is mature enough to handle the discussions we were having (except for the recent string of angry DMs, they've been very chill and level headed), I banned them because of legality, not morality. I also wouldn't have known about this if it wasn't for the daisy chain of screenshots that were unknowingly taken from their priv account, which idk seems like an invasion of privacy to me.
I did also tell the server all of this so they'd know why I was kicking this person, and then several people in the server posted about it on twt which apparently got the 17yo blocked from a bunch of accounts. I do feel bad and understand why they're upset- but I can't knowingly allow a minor to access 18+ content since that is legitimately illegal and could really fuck up my life.
Anyways, hopefully that all makes sense, sorry for the silly petty chronically online drama but still. To anticipate what most people will comment-- yes, I will go outside and touch grass-- but AITA?
What are these acronyms?

do you have any tips for writing?
I feel unqualified to answer this question because 90% of my writing process is me throwing words at a paper and hoping something sticks but like I do have some things that I’ve learned are helpful to me (also I tried answering this like three days ago but tumblr force quit and deleted everything I typed and I was too tired to redo it I’m so sorry)
Although I almost feel the need to put a disclaimer here that my writing kinda falls into a very specific niche of like…dialogue heavy lighthearted character interactions written in the third person limited perspective because that’s what’s fun to me so idk if what works for me is remotely helpful to anyone else
But I would say my #1 tip would just be to make an outline
I am so serious my life got so much better when I stopped trying to write things in one straight shot and started outlining them first
The last fic I wrote had an outline that was 1.2k words long because that’s how many words I needed to organize my thoughts before I could write the actual story
Because sometimes you have certain scenes or lines of dialogue that exist very vividly in your head and you just want to write those but you don’t know how to start the fic or how to transition between the parts you wanna write and rather than getting lost in the weeds tryna write those in-between parts I say just write the part you wanna write first
Get every last little thought out of your head before you forget it
If I can’t think of the right word for something in the moment, I won’t waste time tryna figure it out, I just keep going and then come back to it later (e.g. my brain will blank on the word “asserted” so I’ll write something stupid like “said in like a confident? Authoritative way?” and then come back to it)
And once that part is over, then I’ll worry about putting those scenes in order, and I’ll write vague ideas of what I want to happen in the in-between parts. It’s hard for me to explain what I mean so I’m just gonna humiliate myself on the internet and insert this screenshot from my aforementioned 1.2k word outline

It's literally bullet points, the one paragraph I knew I wanted to write, and then more bullet points.
And that applies for dialogue too! Sometimes I don’t even know what I want these mfers to say. I will make in depth notes about how I want a conversation to go before I even think about most of the words.
And when I do write the words, sometimes my outlines will be so adverb heavy an actual writer would cry like I will legit have a whole conversation of “they said nervously” “they said awkwardly” “they said uncomfortably” “they said irritably” and then go back and fill in better words for said or add actions that convey nervousness or whatever later
BUT ALSO PERSONALLY THIS ISN’T A REAL TIP THIS IS JUST LIKE AN OPINION TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT I do not agree with people who act like you have to replace ALL of your adverbs in writing I think adverbs exist for a reason and as long as you’re not abusing them, people who complain are just being annoying alkfjdaj N E WAYS
On the topic of dialogue (like I said I write a lot of dialogue-heavy things so most of my brain power goes into dialogue okay I’m sorry) several things I like to ask when I write a line are
-Did that come out of nowhere or would a person actually say that? If it did come out of nowhere, how can I bring it up more naturally?
-Would this character react that way or did I just write what I would do? (and if it’s the latter, fix it) Here’s where I admit I cheat a little bit by heavily gravitating toward writing characters who already act similarly to me so I don’t have to think about it too much. That’s not a tip. I’m not telling you you should do that. It’s probably bad that I do that. I just felt like sharing.
-Similar note as the last one, does this line sound like something this character would say, or does it sound super generic like I could swap in any other character to this role and it would make equally as much sense?
-This tends to work better for me if the thing I’m writing for has an english dub (so you can imagine that Survive regularly gives me panic attacks when it comes to character voice and characterization and I’m in a permanent state of second-guessing myself and crying inside) but I also like to try and see if I can read the line in the character’s voice. I feel infinitely more confident in a line if I feel like I could really hear them saying it.
I realize I’ve talking mostly in terms of fanfic writing specifically but like other than that last one it can apply to original stuff too y’know like you wanna write your characters consistently and make sure you’re not randomly changing their personality and how they talk just to fit a situation
Obviously I'm not infallible and I've probably fucked up my own advice before but to quote alice in wonderland, I give myself some very good advice but I very seldom follow it
Uhhh, use whatever perspective you’re writing in to your advantage. I like third-person limited because it lets me convey certain thoughts/feelings through the style of like,,,the paragraphs themselves without always having to write their exact thoughts + I can really hone in on the perspective character.
But like if you’re a fan of first person then you can really go ham with writing the whole thing in their voice, and if you’re into third-person omniscient then you don’t have to confine yourself to the knowledge of one character, you can flat out say what everyone is doing/thinking and why they’re doing/thinking it.
If you are like me and you like to confine yourself to a specific perspective character, one thing I have a hard time doing sometimes but I think you just gotta do is…leave some things unsaid. Y’know like as the writer you know why a certain character is acting a certain way, but your perspective character doesn’t. You can say why they think the other character is doing something, but I think you gotta ask yourself “is this character good at reading people/do they know this person really well or would they more likely misunderstand?” Sometimes they can be an unintentionally unreliable narrator, as a treat.
Don’t be afraid to use the ctrl+F if you think you may have accidentally used a certain word or phrase too many times. I’m a California valley gal do you have any idea how many “likes” I have to edit out of my rough drafts
Other than all that I guess I would just say…fuck around and have fun with it. Sure I write in a certain perspective now, but I messed around with first and even second person pov before. I’m not trying to sound wise or motivational I am being 100% serious when I say just write for yourself. Don’t even think about whether your writing appeals to others. Go girl (gender neutral) give us a fic about that character/ship that only you like.
Literally my first fic in Survive fandom was a painfully self-indulgent deep dive into a character that at the time I was like 90% positive no one but me gave a shit about and I had more fun with it than you could ever imagine
Write in a weird format. Write 0 dialogue. Write only dialogue. Get overly descriptive or poetic. Refuse to describe anything. Try imitating a writer you like. Write a canon x OC fic. I cannot stress enough how much I think you should just do whatever you want.
#what do I even tag this as#anon how do I make sure you see this#i know this isn't a survive thing but i feel like you probably know me from survive fandom ToT#digimon survive

regarding arden (@bwisou) and soyoon (@ddaengg)
As many of you may know, the news of Soyoon's (@/ddaengg) passing from cancer was announced back in late December of last year. It has recently come to the attention of those of us closely tied to her and in the general friend group with which she was involved, Soyoon is still alive. We wish this was a time that we could rejoice at the idea of regaining our friend back into our lives, but a lot more troubling information came to light in this situation that prevents us from doing so. Beyond the lie about her death, there are inconsistencies in her explanations that lead us to believe that her reasonings regarding her illness and her treatments are false or heavily altered. Arden, who many of you know as @/bwisou, is an accomplice in this, and did not only aid Soyoon in carrying out this lie, but has fabricated her own lies both directly related to this situation and in our own interactions with her as friends and mutuals, regarding her identity.
On March 9th, there were several people who noticed that Soyoon's twitter account had become active. Thinking that it may have been a family member or friend, a number of us reached out to the user and asked why the account was active again. Alex messaged Soyoon for clarification and Christine reached out to Arden to ask if she knew anything about it, only to receive no response from her, initially. A few hours later, Soyoon dm'd Alex and Christine on twitter explaining how she had suffered a herniation and had been in a coma until mid-late January. She continued to explain how breathing and recuperating had been her focus, and thus she was not able to contact anyone until then, except for Arden. She told Christine that Arden had known about her being alive since early February, but that both decided to keep it a secret. Additionally, it was explained that someone Soyoon had known well prior to her coma had stole her phone and contacted Arden on a different social media platform, acting as Soyoon's brother and announcing that she had passed, and later went on to make post for his "sister" on tumblr. While incredulous, but still somewhat believable, many of us started to question the authenticity of further descriptions of Soyoon's treatments and the timeline within which they took place.
As you can see, in Soyoon’s explanation [at first] she claims that she did not have the twitter app installed on her phone at the time. Later on, she went on to say that she did in fact have the app installed, which was why “he” was able to deactivate her twitter and tumblr in the first place. That is already one inconsistency.
It soon became evident that medical facts weren't adding up, and the things she was able to do within such small timeframes following high risk surgeries did not make sense. Soyoon had told Annie that she had begun her clinical trial in October/November of 2018. However, in her messages to Alex and Christine, she claimed that she had been accepted to and started another clinical trial in NYC as of February.
This isn’t how clinical trials work. In order for clinical trial participants to be approved, it usually takes 6 to 7 months. Additionally, if you go to the U.S.’ database for clinical trials, you can see that they were only recruiting participants in 2014 to 2016. Their status is now: “active, not recruiting”, meaning that she could have not possibly been approved for the trials in February 2019, 3 years after it had initially begun. Secondly, Soyoon described her cancer a stage 4 glioblastoma, which would render the majority of her brain cancerous. However, as you can see in the screenshot, she said that her tumor was “FULLY” removed. If her tumor were to be truly “fully” removed, that would mean that the majority of her brain is gone. And even if that was not true, that would have meant that she would be physically and mentally impaired for a long time. The timestamps show that this message was sent on March 13, 2019 and she said she had recently undergone surgery two weeks ago (and two more procedures prior to that). So within those two weeks, she claimed to have regained her ability to walk and use her hands, be able to write coherent paragraphs with no grammar errors or typos, able to play the guitar, and ice skate with perfect balance.
Soyoon has poor prognosis but was miraculously able to be treated and stabilized within the span of 6 months. Her overall presentation of cancer is inconsistent with typical cases of glioblastoma multiforme. She also claimed to have traveled back and forth between New York and Korea shortly after her surgery, which is unlikely to be cleared by any doctor after undergoing such a high risk procedure due to high altitudes, air pressure, and so on.
In addition to this, Arden's messages also became suspicious in the way that they were not only failing to match up with aspects of the information Soyoon was giving, but contradicting her own posts that she had made in December in regards to attending Soyoon's funeral and claims of passing condolences directly onto the family of the deceased.
When Christine asked Soyoon to clarify the situation, she had mentioned that she had been unaware of such a post until recently, and sent the screenshots of Arden’s explanation from when she asked her directly about it.
She would be under a lot of grief and despair, understandably, however she disregards the fact that people would definitely have paid attention to her tags on her posts. She is the original poster who announced that Soyoon had passed away, and she mentions that she has connections with the family members and will pass along condolences directly.
In trying to explain her story about attending the funeral, she states that when she attended the funeral home, she saw the surname “Kim” and assumed it was Soyoon, though this is quite obviously one of the most common surnames in Korea, and it is a bit strange that she hadn’t confirmed.
This is not the first time that Arden has raised the suspicions of some of us who have built a friendship with her over the last couple of months to years since she has been active in the fandom. Amber had been told that Arden’s hometown was Chicago, but as time went on, she began to say that her hometown was actually Daegu. She first began to tell people of her Korean ethnicity and familiarity with the language privately, but in time it became evident that what she started to present herself as more publicly on her blog was different. ¼, ½, ¾ Korean, a Korean proficiency at a low/grade school level versus her now obvious fluency to the point that she can translate with ease and thoroughly describe the language.
This clarifies things a little, but still doesn’t explain why her statements changed over time from making her “less” to “more” Korean, so to speak.
The most noticeable occurrence has been her recurring tendencies to use the photos of other people as her kakaotalk/line icons, and more recently, as selfie/daily life posts on twitter, and claim that they are her. In 2017, Arden posted a series of selfie tags (1, 2, 3, 4). About a year or so ago on kakaotalk, Amber noticed that the photo Arden had recently changed her icon to did not quite resemble the few photos that she had seen of her in the past, but the image was small and not the clearest. When Amber asked if the photo was Arden and if she had gotten her hair cut/dyed, she got a confirmation that yes, it was her, and she had recently changed her hairstyle. This image was followed by several photos with a similar hairstyle and an unclear face. A few other close friends of Arden noticed this as well, but little was thought of it at the time until it came to Amber's attention later on that the pictures had actually been taken from an account on instagram (ah.hyeon), which did not belong to Arden.
Those of us who were close to Arden began to notice throughout the following months that she took longer to reply than usual, but with her being busy with pre-med in university and with internships, this was understandable. However, Amber and Annie in particular started noticing that Arden's frequent displays of interest in wanting to call, skype, and actually meet up in person would never be followed through with on her end. Concerts, theme parks, trips to other countries, etc. had been in the works between Arden and a number of her mutuals, but they never happened. It seemed that something always came up last minute, or the plans were disregarded on her side altogether. It was inconsiderate towards those who set aside specific time and funds in hopes that the meetings would be followed through with. When Amber attended the Hamilton stops for the Love Yourself tour in September 2018, she caught wind that Arden had driven hours and crossed the border to attend the same show that she had the day prior, but did not communicate with Amber, who had at this point been a close friend of two years, that she was there. Arden had said that she would be/had attended the concert with a friend, but then told Alex that she had attended with her mom (who lives in a different state). Amber had not heard from Arden for almost three weeks prior to this, thus there was no indication to her directly that Arden had chosen to attend. Amber messaged her bluntly, making it known that she was aware they had attended the same show, to which Arden responded to the 3-week old messages as if nothing was wrong, said she hoped Amber had a nice time, and then proceeded to say that it was a mistake not to tell her, but that when she met her for the first time, she wanted to be a better version of herself. Between this and the general past that Amber had experienced with Arden bailing on plans and not replying to her messages while blatantly interacting with others elsewhere, she made the decision to call off their friendship, wishing for no grudges and no hard feelings. Arden then blocked Amber on all platforms and they have had no direct contact since.
This also brings up the topic of attending the Love Yourself concert in Hong Kong, as she had promised to send her mutuals pictures of Hong Kong Disneyland and of the concert while she was there. However, she never did and would change the topic whenever it was brought up. In recent weeks, she has been enthusiastic about the idea of meeting up with Christine when she moves to the west coast for school, but there is little reason for Christine to believe that this would actually play out and be followed through with in the end.
This is around the time that Arden's use of other people's photos she claimed as her own began to increase, this time from a different account (seosoosoo).
Since then she has moved onto using the pictures from a korean pizza restaurant's facebook, and most recently as you can see in the 3rd set of screenshots, photos with a dog in which she altered "her" hair colour in order to match up with her previous claim that she had dyed it purple, while the original owner of the photo is clearly someone else. She received many kind comments that she accepted gratefully from friends who were still unaware of the falsifying of her identity, or that were suspicious but didn't think much of it, much like Amber had nearly a year prior. The photos from seosoosoo in particular were posted from 2016-2018, and she is clearly a fully Korean woman, which is inconsistent with Arden’s claims to be only partially Korean and the photos she had initially posted of herself(?) in her first year or so on tumblr. The chat directly above shows Arden blatantly lying about this photo being of her. The majority of the times that she posts are unprovoked, and none of us pressured her to show us pictures of herself at any point in time.
Christine received a notification on April 3rd from Arden’s line account that she had updated her photo to the 2nd photo above. She proceeded to ask Arden if it was her, which she confirmed as being true. Karina, Christine, and Alicia then confronted her about them being stolen from instagram on April 7th.
She apparently “couldn’t recall” using someone else’s photos in the past, but we are clearly aware that this was not a “single isolated” incident, as we already had copious amounts of proof that she had done this many times before, and she was completely disregarding the blatant lie about the photo of the girl with the dog that she had posted on April 4th. Karina ended their conversation following Arden’s explanation, although Christine was not given the chance to reply to Arden’s messages, as she deleted her public twitter account immediately after sending them. Both Christine and Alicia reached out on line/kkt, where Arden apologised for leaving twitter and was willing to explain. Alicia was told that Arden would be stepping away from social media, and stopped her replies. When Christine had sent the following message, Arden read approximately 2 minutes later, but gave no response.
We understand social anxiety and not wanting to post your face on the internet, however she posted these photos at her own merit and was not forced to do so. She did not have to steal the identity of other people online and claim them as herself, time and time again. Some of her close friends and mutuals, some who wish to remain anonymous, confronted Arden and gave her more than enough chances to come clean, tell the truth and be forgiven. She chose to continue digging herself in a deeper hole, and guilt trip her mutuals into believing her.
In addition to her public twitter account, Arden has now deleted her private account, and Soyoon has followed suit with her own.
Initially we did not want to “expose” Arden or Soyoon because they were our friends, after all. It hurts and disappoints us to know that no matter how many chances we gave them to explain themselves, they would not confess or own up to their mistakes. Instead, they continued to lie and tried to block out those who were suspicious of them or pointed out their lies, and we felt that this was the only option they left us. Cancer and death are not topics to be taken lightly, or used for clout or pity. Many of us are going through a whirlwind of emotions and anxieties due to all of this coming to light. As a group of friends, mutuals, and acquaintances who have been close to one or both of these individuals, who all had to mourn the loss of a friend and who put our faith and trust into two people who always presented themselves as genuine and kind, we feel betrayed, hurt, angry, and sad. We feel as if we are experiencing loss again, not once but two times over. Soyoon and Arden have made it very difficult to determine what is truth and what is a lie, if Soyoon truly is alive or if she ever existed to begin with, if Soyoon and Arden are two different people, or one and the same.
It has been a rough couple of weeks for us all, and it took us a long time to compile the information above and inform many of those who we felt were close enough to the situation to know before we publicly shed light on this issue for many of you who may have also been friends, acquaintances, and followers of these individuals. We wanted to compile and post this information to put you all in the know, but also to spread awareness on how easily it is to be manipulated by others online that you thought you could trust. It is easy to make friends here with similar interests and quickly fall into a rhythm of trusting and loving one another. However, it is still the online world, and there should always be a guard kept up to some extent. Lying, guilt tripping, blaming others, inconsistent stories, breaking plans and promises, and ignoring general responsibilities of being a close friend are all signs to look out for. Arden and Soyoon are well-known for being incredibly nice, genuine, angelic people and it is so easy to refer back to these qualities when suspicion and your own anxiety gets the best of you. It is hard to end friendships, and even those of us who had let go or had been trying to move on found it difficult to rest easy with this situation still lingering in the air. This has been a big burden to carry, we have no hard feelings towards Soyoon or Arden, and ask that you please refrain from sending any negative messages to them. Posting this will be a form of release and closure for all of us, and will hopefully be a way for us to grow stronger in a moment where trust and faith seem so out of reach. We are deeply sorry to those who are shocked and understandably feel betrayed, confused, or overwhelmed by this information. Let this situation be a lesson for you and learn from our experiences.
Thank you and take care.

UPDATE:
Following our post regarding the Arden/Soyoon situation, one of us has been contacted by someone who wishes to remain anonymous. This person is the original owner of the photos that Soyoon has posted and claimed as her own, and we regretfully announce that her identity had been falsified as well. The real owner of the photos wants none of her information released and we will strongly respect that. She wanted us to mention that if any of you think you happen to see the girl in these photos, do not approach her or think she is Soyoon because she is not.

case study: elle benjamin
the rationality community's least skilled exploiter of transmisogynistic coordination points known to me
when thinking about strategy, i often use the least sophisticated version of a given strategy that i know of to reason about the minimal elements of the strategy in general. i have an index of unsophisticated versions of things that i ping and ask "is this strategy basically this vector but with more optimization power behind it?" it helps compress a lot of information. to check, i can make a prediction given a set of examples of the pattern and test it.
(like i did with the transmisogynistic rationalist orgs "i bet this org has 0 transfems in positions of power" and yep they did, they all did.)
and thats how i factor strategies generated by agents with large amounts of optimization power. who might have more ability to optimize in a domain than i do.
both of these claims are false. elle benjamin never let emma into the group. shes culpable for her continued choice to "believe" bigoted propaganda. just as davis tower kingsley is culpable for "believing" that anna salamon, the president of cfar, isnt involved in cfar's hiring.
elle benjamin is deeply concerned about the treatment of trans people in the rationalist community. elle isnt that good at social optimization so this is an obvious false face. like a cop during segregation who runs an algorithm of "smile at people" if no black people are using the WHITE water fountain and "beat up a human" if a black human uses the WHITE water fountain. as long as trans women know their place as violent abusers like ▘▕▜▋, elle is happy.
if we start claiming we are women just the same as them and how people are treating us is wrong, if we protest against omnicide, if other people are coordinating against trans women along lines of transmisogyny; then elle decides its time to show us our place in the social order as male. violent, child abuse loving, misogynistic, strong-arming, men.
this decision-circuit is not peaceful. people who start trying to exploit transmisogyny in an attempt to coordinate with others against you only when you look vulnerable or they think they can get away with it and otherwise smile at transfems are with their whole soul given over to transmisogyny.

erica's post is so passive-aggressive!
<<One issue is that i think this group is just too large to remain a high trust environment.>>
<<Thanks everyone for keeping this a civil place that deals with sensitive issues all these years!>>
in reference to my blog posts about how they didnt have any transfem mods and immediately took down hot allostatic load because it was a [[bad culture fit]] and [[incoherent]]. as if i were expected to keep some confidentiality about transmisogyny. i have no loyalty to keeping secret that kind of oppression, i signed no contract to that effect.
as if telling other trans people exactly what they did was "uncivil"! as if it were ruinous to society instead of ruinous to a cis women coordinating on transmisogyny.
as if posting hot allostatic load and talking about transmisogyny on my blog were less "sensitive" than the other things the group was doing which included posts like "How many romantic novels/movies/etc do we have left, once we take away all the ones focused on a man relentlessly trying to convince a woman through trickery and persistence and stalking that she should really have sex with him" and "the White Knight/Damsel in Distress dynamic" at the time HAL was taken down.
https://somnilogical.tumblr.com/post/175420481784/i-tried-to-post-to-rationalist-feminists-closed
its an equilibrium where anyone opposing the "peace" of transmisogyny is labeled "antisocial" and "disrupting things".
would you say this woman is being misogynistic and "strong-arming" a female DA?
<<Last year, I was arrested twice in Sonoma County at Sunrise Farms and then Petaluma Poultry, two massive industrial farms that torture and kill hundreds of thousands of birds- while lying to the public about how these animals are treated. My crime? Asking the county to help the starving animals inside. Not just asking by email or phone call or office visit (though all these efforts were made and ignored), but asking by going right to the frontlines myself, exercising my statutory right to help neglected animals, and calling the attention of the authorities to this pervasive cruelty. The fact that the sheriffs chose to arrest us and ignore the animal cruelty broke my heart. It's hard to believe we live in a world where helping someone who is dying is the "crime" and not putting that life in danger in the first place. But have hope that this will change, and my hope growing.>>
<<Now, in response to the action at Reichardt, Sonoma County District Attorney Jill Ravitch has decided to file additional charges against me, Priya Sawhney, and Wayne Hsiung. We are already facing 7 felonies and 5 misdemeanors and we're still fighting for animals every day. Do you think new charges will stop us? No. And it wont stop the movement, either. They think they can stop DxE by targeting leadership, but they don't understand that we are a network of leaders. That every single one of us is leading the world to one of the biggest changes it will ever see. #RightToRescue>>
probably not because shes cis and looks like:

laying down and making it clear that you offer no impediment to mass murder is not a female thing, its not a feminist thing. its a *you* thing, elle benjamin.
someone commented on the screenshots:
<<(It feels relevant that when I met this person a few months ago they went on a rant about the evils of TERF’s before telling me I couldn’t experience misogyny bc I was “male-socialised.” They apologised quickly after having it explained but the idea of their being the Font of Wisdom about transness to rats is insane.)>>
https://loving-not-heyting.tumblr.com/post/614660027724283904/ht-somni-for-screengrabs-this-sums-up-absolutely
ozy brennan, i know what the fuck im talking about when i say "transmisogyny". ive been lied to then kicked out of a homeless shelter for being a trans woman. several men forced me to the ground and held me down and cut off my clothes while i shouted "I DONT CONSENT" locked me in a bare room then crowded around a window embedded in a door and said "i told you it was a guy" and a bunch of people came to gawk at my naked body. and so much more.
some of my interactions on the street in the bay:
<<at bart ppl would call me an ugly bitch and ask me to sleep with them in exchange for meth
someone tried to sell me something and i was like "im not interested in being scammed today" and they were like "bitch!!!"
i walked around in sf talking with a homeless women for ~8 hours and someone asked if we had boyfriends and offered to sell us meth if we went with him and i was like "no thanks" and she was like "how much?" but it was too expensive or something. she showed me lots of places to get food and shelter.
and like if i sit down in places for long enough people will come up to me and ask me if i have a boyfriend or if i want to go get coffee with them on a date.
sometimes ppl ask where im *really* from and if i was born a girl. sometimes ppl touch me on my back or thigh.>>
ive compared notes with cisfems, i get more solicitations to have sex with men in exchange for meth.
this isnt oppression olympics, this is "maybe 7-8 years ago when i started transitioning i didnt have a detailed model of transmisogyny, but now i cant not have one". alyssa vance could have one too (and know things like elle is the kind of person who exploits transmisogyny whenever she gets a chance) if she werent busy using her adult intelligence to defeat itself for miri/cfar.
what elle benjamin did was transmisogynistic and i can arbitrage actually being aligned with justice by taking a stack of screenshots of all the things she said and showing them to transfems uninvolved with the ambient miri/cfar gaslighting. and theyll be like "yup, thats transmisogyny". and other transfems can be like "yup, elle was also transmisogynist to me."
rationalists like alyssa vance and ozy brennan currently have an incentive to imply people who accurately identify transmisogyny are crazy. to go along with the status quo. (if i had to guess: ozy to protect an environment where they can provide for their baby, alyssa because she routed her hopes for personal immortality through miri/cfar.) though its not like i expect /alyssa vance/ to start calling transfems “gross uncle style abusers" like patrick lavictiore did or start listing off their "manly" physical characteristics contra anna salamon being a small feeble cisfem like peter did. not because alyssa vance is a particularly good person, shes not. but because thats paying in to a coordination technique that could be used against /her/. she doesnt expect social reality to label her "psychotic" anytime soon so she pays into that instead. ozy does and didnt call me "psychotic". this optimization is dumb, myopic, and doesnt serve their own values. but all evil is like that.
i dont hold by "use words for their expected value over a community" like scott alexander does. this is nice because i can align what i say with my internal cluster structure of anticipations of reality and escalate arbitrarily far without things breaking. elle benjamin cant escalate very far until her claim of ziz being a "misogynist" shatters, because its not exploiting the cluster structure of thing-space.
anyway GG on this front. the territory of "elle benjamin isnt transmisogynistic, somni is hallucinating transmisogyny" isnt worth enough for the miri/cfar campaign to expend energy on; elle benjamin isnt an important piece to miri/cfar like anna salamon is; and alyssa vance isnt in an environment with a bunch of warm bodies she can coordinate on a falsehood with. so afaict this region is ceded.
one technique of fem v fem cyberontological combat when you are right is arbitrage. when people gather a bunch of warm bodies together to gaslight you that elle benjamin isnt doing transmisogyny or whatever. instead of submitting to a series of increasingly arcane requirements until your writing looks like the inside of /principia mathematica/ and then have people complain about you writing long technical paragraphs saying they dont understand them dont care to understand them and you must be crazy;
just take a comprehensive recording of them all choosing to be dumb in a given direction and show it to people who dont have a political commitment to be dumb in that direction (which, when you are right, is often most people outside of the gaslighting bubble) and explain why its wrong. there are a lot of overlapping social spheres and you can iteratively arbitrage between them exploiting the fact that the methods of rationality and justice are more universal than specific false coordination points. in go terms, the spirit of this strategy is tenuki.
--
alyssa vance also says anna salamon isnt transmisogynistic, tried claiming ziz whistleblowing on miri/cfar paying out to blackmail was blackmail, and defends paying out to oneshot blackmail with subjunctive dependence for cdt reasons.

Hello again everyone,
FIRST, ANOTHER APOLOGY...
for the late nature of this update. I understand the fear that lack of updates can bring in a zine project where far too often they turn into scams, so I’m sorry for causing any unrest by not posting more often. The main reason I did not was because they would all say the same thing: formatting was still undergoing. I was afraid of further disappointing people and hoped to work as fast as I could to provide a more substantial update than the last. However, I realize that even an update where not much has changed can be helpful in keeping people under the loop.
Secondly, I apologize for the general delay in the production of the zine and its items. As mentioned in the previous update, getting a full-time job was not something I’d anticipated when the project first started out, and it took up a large fraction of the time that I would have been giving to the zine. Moreover, I’ve been dealing with a lot of personal stress. (My family is fairly conservative in culture in religion, where I am the opposite. For a while, things had been getting better, but recently some issues have arisen that have been taking a toll on my mental health, including stuff like me resisting an arranged marriage, which is causing a rift between my family and me.) Balancing all those with my responsibilities in several zine projects proved to be very difficult.
I don’t want to say too much here because I still take full responsibility for this project. I don’t think life circumstances give me a free pass; I merely hope to explain why things have taken so long. I hope everyone understands that I started this project because I love Promptis and I love projects such as these, and I am just as disappointed in myself as anyone else. I’m really sorry once more.
Below you will find a more detailed update regarding the zine!
THE ACTUAL UPDATE:
Moving on from that (very long…) paragraph, I also have some genuine updates! While formatting and ordering all the merch took longer than anticipated, we are now on the home stretch. All merch has been received and checked for quality, and images will be shared on our social media soon after this post.
The zine formatting is now 95% complete ( color checking, formatting text, and arranging the additional pages is what took the most time >////< ); the PDF proof was shared with all our contributors for a final check a few days ago. After everyone has had a chance to look it over, the mods will do another last check, make any final changes, and then export the document. Early next week, we will submit the final order for the zine.
Here are some sneak previews of the inside of the zine:
(Please note that these are screenshots of an incomplete document and subject to minor changes.)
After that, the physical proof process and follow-up printing of all copies will take 2-3 weeks at most. Below is a new and final timeline, for clarity.
NEW TIMELINE
October 3rd: Final files sent to manufacturer.
Week of October 7th: Printed proof arrives.
Week of October 14th: Printed proof is approved and production begins.
The printing turnaround for the zines is 7 days. The zines should then arrive (provided that there are no extenuating delays with the printer) the week after, and I will start shipping the zines out immediately, which means the very tail end of October and the first couple weeks of November. Unfortunately I can’t provide a more solid date for when the final zines will start shipping, and this timeline assumes that nothing goes wrong in the actual printing process via the manufacturer. If for some reason anything comes up I will be sure to share it as soon possible, but I’m hoping things will proceed as normal. Thus,
Late Oct/Early Nov: Zines shipped out.
Late Nov: Leftover sale
FINAL NOTE
Please rest assured that I am now working overtime to get this zine ready to ship out for everyone. I apologize again; when I first started this project, I obviously did not anticipate what would unfold after and am sincerely regretful for making everyone wait/worry regarding the status of their order. To try and make up for it, all orders will get an additional merch item free of charge. This will not cause any delays to the production, and I will cover any extra expenses out of pocket.
As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us on social media or email. If you have to submit an address change due to the delay in the project, please do so via email-only so that we can keep track of all address changes in one place.
The next update will be posted when we get our physical proof. Thank you for your support and patience!
Sincerely,
FateReplay
[ Note: This update is also being sent out via email and will be shared on Twitter immediately after posting to Tumblr ]

A Guide for Navigating a World of Rumors for the #SaveDaredevil Campaign
Hey #FandomWithoutFear! It’s been almost a year now since the #SaveDaredevil campaign started, and I thought I’d do a brief PSA to help save your sanity as we enter the second half of our campaign. I’m talking about rumors.
Over the past year, we’ve heard piles and piles of rumors, some causing chaos, others causing despair, some even being really strange and confusing. In fact, our campaign was basically born into a world of rumors as we’ve been combating the ‘The shows are going to Disney+’ rumor since the instant it was canceled. Only recently have we been mostly freed by that one thanks to D23 releasing their starting lineup, but we’re still seeing it.
Giving into rumors can be a trying experience, especially considering our current situation of Marvel being unable to tell us almost anything about the NMCU properties until the two year clause is up and them being tight-lipped by default. However, there are ways of avoiding rumor rabbit holes and the emotional turmoil they put us through.
Before I start, I’d like to point everyone out to #SaveDaredevil’s official website and FAQ. It is loaded with everything we can say for certain about the status and future of Daredevil given the information that has been confirmed by official sources so far. We even have screenshots and citations.
#1 – Encountering the Rumor
So you’re out in the wilds of the Internet and come across ‘news’ about Daredevil. As mentioned previously, simply the fact that there is ‘news’ is enough to raise a red flag. Since everything is on the hush-hush, there’s an 80% chance the ‘news’ isn’t valid right off the bat.
But let’s say there seems like there could be some validity in the claim. Worth investigating further.
#2 – Beware of Clickbait
Websites love dem clicks, and they know the Daredevil fanbase is filled with people who are yearning for news. Many websites will either make up or perpetuate rumors to fill a video or article and then slap a misleading title on it to go fishing for cursors and their precious left-clicks.
While some clickbait is painfully obvious from the getgo, some is harder to discern. The rule of thumb here is that, if it seems too good to be true or if it feels like something that could be molded out of existing knowledge, it’s probably best to avoid it.
Also be on the lookout for words and phrases like ‘Could be’ and ‘Might’ as they are almost always indicative of opinion pieces/rumor mills than actual news.
Reputable articles will commonly headline with a source of a quote, such as ‘said (name) (some important position) at (Marvel or Disney)’ but even those can be misleading, so beware.
#3 – Check the Website Before Clicking
You really, really want to click the link no matter what the title says. Understandable. But before you turn that blue link purple, let’s see where it came from.
Another way you can discern what is likely a rumor from what could possibly be legitimate is by checking the source of the link. Sites like Cosmic Book News (That’s not a typo, that’s the name of the website) and wegotthiscovered are some of the better known rumor mills, but if you’re unsure about the reputation of a site, ask around. However, sometimes the only way to know if a website or news source is reputable is by investigating the content of the link.
Which leads us to….
#4 – You’ve Clicked the Link. Now What?
A few things you should be on the lookout for while investigating the page before even reading the content are the author of the article or creator of the video (if one isn’t listed, that’s a red flag in itself), how professionally made the website looks, the date of the article/video posting (the more current, the better) and how well-written the article is overall. Poor grammar, punctuation and formatting can all be red flags to misinformed or false content.
Sensational graphics, such as pictures with red arrows, circles or obnoxious text – this applies to the video if there is one – can also be an indicator of less than legit sources. Overly produced videos and graphics have become quite common as they are attention grabbers, but they don’t exactly give off the professional air that more legitimate websites and content creators strive for.
Fair warning, while a good chunk of rumor articles are fairly short, many rumor videos can be insanely long because longer videos can have more advertisements crammed on it, which means more money.
Longer videos don’t instantly mean legitimate information. In fact, outside of opinion pieces, many ‘news’ videos will regurgitate information we already know about and go into length about that to extend the video’s run time. Even if you’re only in it for opinions, a significant portion of the video could be padding.
You don’t necessarily have to watch the entirety of the video (or even read the entire article) to tell if it’s spouting nonsense or not. It’s a good idea to do so, but in many circumstances the writing is on the wall within the first paragraph or first few minutes of the video.
They jump to conclusions based on something that is entirely unrelated. They add the could be’s and might’s to the content, instead of the headline. Or they accidentally show their rumor hand by saying the dreaded words ‘I/We heard...’ or even ‘rumor has it.’
Some writers are also tricky about their wording to get you to stay the entire way through by ending the article or video with ‘but this is all speculation. We won’t really know until (blank)’
If the author seems intent on getting you to believe this is all fact and the red flags aren’t quite visible to you, there are still options to explore.
#5 – Read/Listen Carefully
Some writers are particularly good at twisting words around to suit their needs. Even direct quotes can be manipulated in their favor. Read the article or listen to the video host very carefully. Take note of context. Be wary of anything that doesn’t mesh with existing knowledge. You may also find that the content contradicts itself sometimes. If things seem fishy to you, your instincts are likely right.
#6 – Who Else is Saying This?
Daredevil news would be huge, and anything even slightly confirmed by official sources would be plastered on a plethora of news sites so quickly you’d think they were announcing their first born child. When you’re first out the gate, you tend to get the most clicks. However, reputable news sites, as you can guess, want to stay reputable, and jumping on rumors isn’t going to be helping them maintain that status.
Do a quick Google search for the main news item in the headline. Using quotation marks on specific phrases used in either the title or body of the source can help narrow things down.
If there are no very recent news articles from several other websites (Let’s say five or more) containing similar news, it’s probably false. If the initial posting is particularly recent, wait a few hours and do another search. By then, the reputable news sites would certainly have something out if it’s true.
#6 – Cited Sources: They’re Not Just for College Papers
Some rumors do get out of control, however. False information can spread like wildfire, and sometimes reputable news sites make mistakes. One thing can still save you from falling into the rumor rabbit hole – cited sources.
They don’t have to be as meticulously formatted as they have to be for college papers (though that does help!) but having quotes from officials within Marvel or Disney (with context and notes about when and where this quote was said) and links to information sources mean the world when determining if ‘news’ is actually, well, news.
Like before, even if the article does cite sources, that doesn’t mean much if the source itself isn’t reputable. IE, you may want to use Wikipedia in your term paper, but your teacher won’t let that fly. Check out the links and double check the quotes to be as certain as possible.
Also, if something simply says ‘sources claim’ without giving actual….ya know...sources, they probably don’t have any. Or, if they do, they’re not reputable.
#7 – This Random Youtuber I Like Said This, That and The Other Thing
This is cropping up more frequently, so I thought I’d include it. Just because you like a Youtuber doesn’t mean they’re always right. It’s not even a matter of calling them a liar – many times these people are just misinformed or fell down a rumor rabbit hole themselves.
Dealing with people who are saying this to you is difficult because they’re frequently too blinded by their liking of the Youtuber to listen to reason. All you can really do is explain to them what I’ve explained above and direct them to the #SaveDaredevil FAQ.
#8 – Dealing with The F Word
Another problem that has been frequently popping up over the past several months is the F Word: Feige.
A rumor that has been unavoidable since practically the instant Daredevil and the other NMCU shows were canceled was that the properties would inevitably fall into the hands of Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige, and DD and The Defenders would be in the MCU after the two years is up.
Feige has never spoken a word, post-cancellation, about Daredevil or The Defenders futures, and for all we know he has no role in their futures considering they were originally with Marvel Television. However, so many people seemingly believe bringing up Feige is enough to confirm or deny all things speculation about DD. Some won’t even humor the idea of DD going anywhere else but Feigeville.
Like with the Youtuber fans, it’s hard to reason with people who seem to hardcore support Feige in everything involving Marvel, and dealing with them is about the same. The main cannon you have in this situation outside of the norm is that, as stated before, Feige has said nothing about this, so they don’t really have sources to cite here, leaving everything up to speculation.
Let me clarify that, if you’re of the opinion that Daredevil should be in the movies, that’s perfectly fine. Everyone has their own opinions on what they want for Daredevil’s future, even if the #SaveDaredevil movement has made their own hopes and views very apparent. However, the story of Daredevil’s does not begin and end with Feige and it shouldn’t be treated as such.
#9 – Scooping the Inside from the Outside
There have been a couple of people, won’t be naming names, in the past year claiming they have the inside scoop on this matter because they either are on the inside (IE an employee at one of the companies involved, such as Netflix, Marvel or Disney) or they know someone who is.
These people may very well have inside information that they’re willing to share with us, but the problem is which information is valid and which isn’t.
The ‘insiders’ I’ve seen seem to work on a system very similar to an old fortune-teller.
Fortune-tellers have a habit of predicting something that they know will come true because of something else they knew ahead of time or just getting lucky on an educated guess. If they’re right enough times on little things, that gives them all the validity they seemingly need to prove they’re right about anything else they claim. They will likely be wrong on numerous occasions, but it’s when they’re right that gives them power. They’ll also likely contradict themselves and double-back on things they’ve said in the past to make it look like they weren’t wrong when they were.
Problem is, you don’t know who these people really are, what role they have in whatever company they work for, if they do, or what relationship they have to whatever insider might exist.
They might act like they have the insider knowledge of a high-level executive, but, in reality, they may actually have the bare bones knowledge of a lower ranking employee or just hear stuff around a water cooler and build off of that information. It’s impossible to tell because they don’t say out of fear of being fired or otherwise getting in trouble with one of the aforementioned companies.
That’s also where the difficulty in discerning fact and fiction/opinion with them comes from. We’re all outsiders and any actual known insiders can’t give us really any information. Debunking them or confirming what they say is incredibly problematic given the limited information we have.
That’s not to say there aren’t people out there who pay a lot of attention to what these people say over time and analyze their statements heavily to see if they hold water, especially if it contradicts something they’ve said in the past. I said it was really difficult to discern fact and fiction with them, but it’s not impossible. When you’ve exhausted every other option with these ‘insiders’ the only thing you can do is wait and see if they’re right or wrong.
It’s been my experience (and this is my personal opinion right now) that it’s best to just ignore these people altogether. They never seem like they have good intentions with their info sharing, no matter if their information is accurate or not. They always seem like they want to make people in the fandom angry or sad with their ‘inside scoops’ then eat up all the special attention they get as a rare person ‘on the inside’ that will actually talk with the masses about the subject. Nothing good tends to come out of hanging on the words of these ‘insiders.’
#10 – Avoid Confirmation Bias
For every ‘news’ source that claims something negative about Daredevil’s situation, there’s another that claims something positive. We, as fans of the show, want to believe the more positive stories that are released while also wanting to combat against the more negatively slanted pieces.
While this is entirely understandable, it’s also very biased. It’s great to have hope and not let the negativity get to you, but allowing yourself to more easily fall prey to positive rumors may set you up for a fall. It’s difficult, but you have to take the blinders off.
Staying objective is important in both ensuring that you get the most valid facts and keeping your emotional roller coaster from going off the rails. Even among less than positive news alerts, we have had many nuggets of actual validated hope spring up consistently, and there’s a good chance we’ll get more down the road, so don’t get discouraged if you find some positive rumors turn out to be just that – rumors.
--------------------------
As a final note, remember that the community is always here for you to both discuss any ‘news’ that comes up, dig out the real facts, and help get you through any struggles you might be having with campaigning. We’ve taken our share of hits, but like Daredevil, we keep getting back up. #SaveDaredevil has already made it nearly halfway through the two year wait with tons of support, positivity and legitimate good news. Together, we can take on the second half even stronger than before.
We can #SaveDaredevil. We’re #NotGivingUp.

My experience as a Grim Gest member from 2017-2018
I don't necessarily want you to post this as the screenshots I have would not only eliminate my anonymity but also don't carry enough weight on their own to be really effective in showing their deplorability. However, I'm fine with you guys posting the one screenshot I linked if you want because it showcases the ridiculing of a previous member. That being said the image is from November 2017 so I don't know if you do. I moreso want to share my experience being in the Grim Gest from roughly November 2017- March 2018.
I joined their ranks because I'm incredibly fond of the undead in WoW, and for the most part had a lot of fun roleplaying with them. For all their OOC faults I do truly think that they're decent roleplayers IC. The first few months were fine. I got to know the active members and had a lot of fun, but after a while of being in the guild we got a new member who was rping a dark ranger. A lot of us really disliked him as he constantly used the "I'm a dark ranger" card to silence other guilds and members, acting like his character was more important. He constantly used anti-living godmotes in his rp, famously doing a Sylvanas banshee scream in a campaign that he said would "deafen any living who could hear it" and as a result pissed off a lot of other horde members ic and ooc. A lot of us wanted him to tone it down, but Morsteth repeatedly defended the rp saying it was good and that he really liked the character. One day however (I forget what he did) the guy was removed from the guild as the officers persuaded Morsteth to kick him. Morsteth then decided to do a complete 180 on his opinions of him, and kept saying "I don't know what I was thinking that guy was awful" going as far as to eventually compile every cringey thing the guy had said ooc (shown below):
and posting it presumably in the vile PCU discord. I thought it was funny at the time but ultimately it was pretty much a character assassination of this guy.
Later on I noticed in their discord a lot of onesided political discussions taking place, one of which was on the topic of white privilege and black lives matter. I argued with Morsteth and co. about it for about a day and was essentially ganked over my opinion. Morsteth became pretty upset with the argument and stripped me of my roles, restricting me to typing in a "Toxic Lair" channel, telling me that he would talk to other officers and decide my fate once he was home despite having heard the "ooc is ooc and ic is ic" meme. That night I received an apology from Morsteth telling me "Alright, basically it comes down to our personal argument and I think we both should have left it earlier, so it's not a one-sided thing so I don't really have a reason to "hate" you or ban you from the guild as you didn't do anything wrong. Just typed some mong stuff in my personal opinion." he even admitted to "blowing [the argument] out of proportions" and apologised for putting me into the lair channel. I was a bit sceptical of this and had been having a hard time irl, but eventually I said I would stick with the guild instead of leaving.
Afterwards a lot of the members were a bit quieter with me, I was ignored frequently and was feeling strange about the whole thing. During this period I became pretty depressed and started to talk to one of the high ranking but not officer members who had been in the guild for ages. He was pretty chill and offered me a lot of advice in dealing with things, and I refrained from talking about my sadness in guild chat, only speaking to this one guy on days I felt awful. Time passed as normal in the guild, but as it did I got a little more bored with WoW. Content had slowed down and my schoolwork was catching up with me so I had informed the guild that I would be more inactive as I had school stuff to deal with. I had also made the apparent mistake to gush about my excitement at the introduction of dark iron dwarves and void elves to the alliance, saying that I was going to make one. Over the next three months my sub died, and to fill gaps of boredom I played other games that I happened to own instead of wasting money on a sub I wouldn't fully use. After 3 months inactivity I was kicked which honestly is fair enough. I asked why I was removed and I was told that it was the inactivity and also because I was apparently becoming alliance in bfa despite never explicitly deciding to do that or saying I would. I explained that I wasn't intending to play alliance and that I had been busy as my exams were coming up, but Morsteth told me that I had been playing games that weren't WoW in my freetime, but in reality I'm prone to leaving the launchers open for games sometimes. I convinced him that I'd sub back in a week once my exams finished and I attended a few rp events and spoke in discord frequently.
Exactly a week after I was invited back I saw that Morsteth was insulting some guy by calling him a soyboy. I asked why he used that insult when there was little evidence linking soy with femininity or emasculation, cited a few credible sources and was met with "my brother works in chemistry and he says its uncertain if it does impact men or not". I naturally thought this defence was ridiculous and argued with him that he didn't have any credible sources, resulting in his enragement at the fact that I believed his brother wasn't knowledgeable about the chemistry of soy. I saw how the argument was going to go and decided to halt it, apologising for arguing with him and stopping the conversation, he hesitantly agreed and saw that we didn't need to argue about it. A few minutes later I spied a Morsteth is typing in the chat, and quickly typed something along the lines of "dude if this is a 3 page rebuttal to the argument that we stopped telling me about how I'm wrong I swear to god dude" and seconds after sending this he posted two paragraphs of soy information trying to disprove me. Likely consumed by rage at this point he quickly typed "ok that's it" and booted me from the guild. I pmed him saying "are you this pissed over a fucking argument? You wanted me gone a while ago, come on be honest dude" to which he replied "you dont see it yourself but ur basically an edgy teenage jerk that rly annoys people to no end while contributing nothing to the guild, so just please stay with elder scrolls online" followed up with "you are annoying dude not just to me". Then he blocked me, and I was incredibly upset. I was so annoyed that I had spent a year in this guild for it to be over because he couldn't man up and shake hands over a soy argument. In my anger, I made a video of the image with Why can't we be friends playing in the background and uploaded it to my channel, titling the video "The Grim Gest in a Nutshell".
I was pmed later on by his lackey Seth (who I've seen on here being victimised by the guild, how ironic) who told me multiple times that I was the one in the wrong, that I was an idiot, that I was actively making the guild worse being in it and that I would never find a good guild again as I had messed up with the GG. This did nothing but piss me off further but I got over it after a long time. I left the horde as a whole and faction changed my undead to alliance, no longer wanting to play on a side populated by arguably deplorable people. I stayed in contact with one of their Officers who thought it was extreme for me to be kicked over the argument, he tried to convince Morsteth that it was a rash decision but told me that I'd probably never be invited back which I was fine with. I began rping on the alliance and managed to avoid a lot of drama in the next month before seth messaged me again.
I got a message telling me that I needed to take down my video immediately. Apparently when Morsteth tried to show another guild footage from a past pvp event he told them to search up the Grim Gest on youtube, and my video was the first to appear. I was told by Seth that if I didn't remove the video the Grim Gest alongside the other PCU guilds would mass flag every video on my channel (which I don't really care about). I told Seth that I didn't care at all, and if he wanted to flag me then he could go ahead. I messaged my officer friend who told me that Paingriever and Morsteth were attempting to compile all the dirt they had on me and make an equally defaming video despite me only posting a selfie into the discord and perhaps once or twice saying that I was depressed in discord, there was really zero dirt to find on me. I told Seth that if Morsteth wanted to talk to me he should do it himself, and got no response and remained blocked on discord by the baron. Eventually I was convinced by my officer friend that it was probably the right thing to do to move on and delete the video, but with all the utter bullshit I've seen on forums from Morsteth, alongside the COAD posts that showcase his idiotic shenanigans I felt like I had to get this off my chest.
A final meme comes from a campaign I took part in, where some dwarves were swearing excessively IC. I almost fell off my chair when I saw several Grim Gest members saying that it was making them feel uncomfortable despite a long running meme in their discord being an emote that read "unsafe" being posted whenever someone swore, it was explained to me that they had a member who always complained that swearing made her feel unsafe, and after she left they used it sarcastically at any complaints made about swearing.
In short; I utterly detest Morsteth and the rest of the PCU, these guilds are the reason that I don't rp undead anymore, which greatly upsets me as they remain my favorite race in the Horde. Perhaps once they mess up hard enough and are punished I might finally be able to play the race that I love, but that seems like an impossible future.

Ohhh boy... -cracks knuckles- Let’s do this, shall we?
30. HIS DESTRUCTO DISC WAS THE STRONGEST KI ATTACK IN THE SERIES How does that not make sense? You’re starting your list off by not even framing your complaints correctly, as your beef isn’t the attack’s power, but that it’s underused. But even that’s explained. In short, the Kienzan takes up a LOT of energy. To form, to get it spinning fast enough, to throw, takes a bit out of the user. It’s also got several drawbacks, including, but not limited to, being quite loud. People can hear it coming and adjust accordingly. One can make a slightly weaker version they can steer, but that reduces its effectiveness. Really, the Kienzan is only feasible in certain scenarios, at least until Krillin managed to gain the ability to control it without sacrificing power. 29. HE THOUGHT ANDROID 18 WAS DATING HER TWIN BROTHER Uh... ok? I mean I’m not sure how that ‘makes no sense’ but yeah, he made a mistake. Whoops? 28. HIS BODY MEASUREMENTS Bear in mind a few things here. Namely, that while Toriyama does depict these characters as “muscular”, it’s also lean. So the idea he should be ridiculously jacked is also a bit off. I believe the weight estimate also originally came back when the “Z” arcs started, so there’s that. Otherwise, this is probably one of the only legitimate points on this list. 27. THE REASON WHY HE SHAVES HIS HEAD ...again, how does this make no sense? He shaves his head as a sign of dedication to his practice of the martial arts and because he was taught it aided in the flow of ki in one’s body. That’s explained full well. Just because he ASSUMED Roshi shaved his head doesn’t make this not make sense. 26. HIS ABILITY TO BREAK THE FOURTH WALL It’s a comedy manga at heart. There’s jokes like this throughout. In Goku’s rematch with Yamcha, Goku hits him so hard that he actually breaks one of the borders between the panels and bounces off of it. It’s a thing in the series. Also, Idk why you’re referencing movies when they’re clearly not part of Toriyama’s continuity, but I’m reasonably certain that “lasted a season” was meant in terms of time passed, not “seasons” of a show. Especially as DB never had “seasons”. 25. HE NEVER TRAINED WITH WITH KING KAI Now this is what annoys me about this article. Y’all will take the anime and even movies into account when making this list... and yet with this complaint, you even have a screenshot of where he trained with King Kai in the anime. Yet you say he didn’t do it. Also, “with all the time he spends in the afterlife”? lol really? 24. HIS HEAD DOTS You... you literally explain this in full. How is this something that makes no sense? Literally how? 23. HIS REDUCED FIGHTING PRESENCE IN THE CELL AND BUU SAGAS Again, you explain this in the first paragraph of this entry. Yet you also talk about his activities in both arcs. So... how does this not make sense other than the fact that complaining about it makes no sense? I mean he still has a role, it’s just primarily non-combat. He carried the meat of the story in the Cell arc. 22. HIS BIZARRE CHILDHOOD "A lot of the pasts and families of Dragon Ball’s characters have been shown before (including Frieza's), but Krillin’s remains a mystery.“ Actually, no. They’re not. By and large, we learn very little about the pasts of any of these characters. We have only the vaguest details about anyone not Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, or Bulma, discounting the people we actually see born during the series. Kami’s past, even his name, is a complete mystery. Tien? No one knows his background outside being taken in by the Crane Hermit and training alongside Chiaotzu. This is not uncommon. But we actually do know a bit more about Krillin’s past in that he was raised at Orin, and he was abused. Daily. Frequently. It left him with a complex that lasted well into his adult life. He ran away one day in tears, determined he was gonna prove he wasn’t weak or worthless someday. That’s a good sight more than we’d gotten about most characters til recently. 21. HE NEARLY BECAME AN ANDROID You guys are reaching into arcade path endings from video games. Why am I not surprised? 20. HOW HE DEFEATED GOHAN DURING TOURNAMENT OF POWER PREP This is easily one of the worst offenders on this entire list if only because this is very, very easily explained. Hell, it was the point of them doing it. Gohan was operating with the wrong perspective, that Krillin going one on one vs a powerful opponent would, by necessity, be outclassed and overpowered and thus couldn’t be an asset. He was also under the assumption Krillin had gotten much weaker, unaware he was stronger than ever. Couple these things with both the fact that Gohan himself wasn’t near as strong as he used to be, and Krillin simply out-planning Gohan and beating him by using the rules of the arena against him vs trying to actually overpower him, and Gohan losing there makes perfect sense. Krillin simply overwhelmed all his senses, dropped out of sight and detection, and then simply knocked Gohan off-balance and shoved him out of bounds. Simple. Literally nothing hard to understand about that. 19. HE’S THE FIRST PERSON FROM UNIVERSE 7 TO LOSE IN THE TOURNAMENT OF POWER He’s the first one out because he actually ditched the safety of the group strategy and rushes out to rescue his wife, who was nearly eliminated first herself. He then teamed up with her for a bit and even took out a particularly skilled enemy himself by using his head. Then he was tripped out of bounds because he was distracted by (sadly) rare praise. It happens and it’s not indicative of “strength” or “power” at all. 18. HIS BATTLE STRATEGY AGAINST FRIEZA'S SECOND FORM Lord, here we go. Imma say this again: The Kienzan takes a LOT of energy to form and use. Krillin had just thrown like, twenty of them in a row and then had to run at top speed. The odds of him being able to produce a Kienzan in time are slim to none This is why, upon blinding Freeza, he was yelling for Vegeta (who was still FRESH, mind you) to attack Freeza now. But Vegeta was too paralyzed with shock and fear to act. I’d also like to point out that blinding Freeza wouldn’t have been super effective with an attack that Freeza could easily HEAR coming. He heard it at the last minute even over Gohan’s screams of agony, pretty sure he’d have heard it off to the side where it was just them too. 17. HE LEAVES HIS DAUGHTER IN THE CARE OF KIDS Yes. Apprehensively. At the insistence of his wife, who assured him she’d be ok and could take care of herself. Y’all really tried to use this to imply he’s a bad dad, wow. 16. HIS REGRESSIVE PTSD IN THE FOREST OF TERROR I’m not sure if I’m happy someone finally admitted it’s PTSD (#DragonBallAintDeepBro) or pissed off someone called this “regressive”. Wait no, I know exactly what I am, and frankly... WTF is wrong with you? How on God’s green earth is that Regressive? Are you, by the body of this entry, implying PTSD is a thing that exclusively happens to people who aren’t strong or “strong enough”? Either way, you missed the entire point of the episode, which you simultaneously admit was good character development. A development arc hinted at since the Buu arc really, but really kickstarted back in the BoG arc. The Forest of Terror was never about just strength or ability. Truly, the enemies seen there were only as strong or weak as Krillin empowered them to be by his fear and the ki he poured into them as a result. The point is they were a personification of Krillin’s own fears. His self-doubt and self-loathing. The condition was slowly killing him, his confidence was next to nothing, and it was affecting his life. His job. His family. It’s why 18 gave him the kick in the butt to start training again, to try to regain some of his confidence. It’s why Roshi sent them there; he saw the lack of confidence in the man. He saw his student in anguish, hating himself for not being more than what he was, but also fully believing he never could be. That he just wasn’t good enough. It’s why, even when facing enemies that his rational mind KNEW were weaker than himself, to say nothing of dead, he still panicked. His PTSD was triggered, vivid memories of what they’d done to him, the pain he suffered, came rushing back. And removing it was what finally allowed him to reach into his truest potential, and become even stronger than he’d ever been before. I also love the realistic way the series handled the condition, in that even as he tries to improve himself, he still has moments where it starts to kick in and he has to fight it off, will himself not to lose it. His wife knows it too and takes extra care (for the most part) to not let him slip back into it. But he refuses to allow it to control him anymore. How the hell that’s somehow a negative, let alone something that “doesn’t make sense”, is a mystery to me. 15. HIS "FULL POTENTIAL" THAT THE GRAND ELDER NAMEKIAN GURU UNLOCKED How is this really confusing? It simply allows him to tap into potential, power, that was blocked off. There are many factors that can contribute to it, be it limitations on time, plateaus, mental blocks, etc. The Grand Elder removed those and awaken that potential. It’s why Gohan and Krillin started to make the gains that they did at the rate they did, going from only about as strong as Goku had been on Earth to strong enough to help Vegeta overpower and potentially kill Freeza in his first form. 14. HIS YOUNGER CHARACTER TRAITS Y-you do realize you’re literally complaining about character development... right? Krillin grew up in an abusive environment where he felt he could trust no one, everyone was out for themselves, and that he had to do whatever it took to get ahead and be accepted as one of Roshi’s pupils so he had a chance to be... anybody, really. And yes, over time, between the influences of his friends and general maturing and growing up, he became a very kind, compassionate, and caring individual and a true friend. THAT’S. CHARACTER. DEVELOPMENT. And to present these traits as a “mistake” is to somehow suggest they came later. They were his original traits. 13. HIS BULLET INJURIES DURING HIS POLICE JOB Literally explained in Resurrection F, both the arc and the movie. Emptying one’s body of ki leaves it vulnerable. It should be his instinct to do so right away, but he doesn’t. He’s becoming careless and distracted. It’s part of his PTSD. Hell, Goku’s clearly not getting “that weak” and yet he also got lightly bruised by a bullet because he didn’t keep his energy up, a sign he was falling out of practice due to his inability to find a training partner, or to leave to a place that would really push him in his training due to work. Also, if one being vulnerable to gunfire means they shouldn’t be a police officer, or any like job where there might be danger... well... That’s dumb, my friend. 12. HE CAN PERFORM THE SPIRIT BOMB AND KAIO-KEN ATTACK Stop using video games to pad your list! SERIOUSLY! And how does “performing the Spirit Bomb” make no sense? Goku and King Kai both instructed him how to do it, and Krillin’s always been especially gifted at both energy manipulation and learning on the fly. Besides, it’s not as if he knows how to summon said energy himself, just wield and form it. 11. HIS ROMANTIC NATURE NEARLY DESTROYED THE EARTH Hot Take Time: Krillin’s decision not to kill 18 stemmed from general compassion, not just the fact that she kissed him, and his decision would have had NO impact on Cell had Vegeta followed through, done what he was supposed to, and killed Cell. Even if Vegeta, by some bizarre chance, failed? Trunks was there, and just as powerful. There were two people there capable of killing Cell. No, what nearly destroyed the Earth was Vegeta’s VERY conscious decision to actually HELP Cell reach his Perfect Form, something Krillin never imagined Vegeta would be stupid and selfish enough to do. And even then, Krillin told her to get lost and hide, and even offered to help her move 16 so she could. 10. HIS EARLY DISMISSAL IN FORTUNETELLER BABA'S TOURNAMENT ...IT’S A COMEDY AND HE GOT HIS WHOLE HEAD BIT INTO BY A VAMPIRE, WHAT’S HARD TO UNDERSTAND? FFS He’s still weaker than even Yamcha at that point. His quick thinking is also all that saved Yamcha’s ass from getting whupped into submission. 9. HE PASSES AWAY THE MOST... EVEN THOUGH HE’S EARTH’S STRONGEST HUMAN Oh lord here we go... a. He wasn’t at the time of his first death. b. That kinda doesn’t mean much when you have to fight an alien lizard or ancient demon who could dust you with their pinky. This only makes no sense if you utterly ignore any and all context. Vegeta, for example, has actually died just as many times as Krillin now (Freeza, Buu, Freeza again)... and he’s the second strongest in the roster. Goku has also technically “died” just as many times now too (Piccolo, Cell, Hit), as well as Piccolo (Nappa, Buu, Freeza). Mr. Satan and Bulma have died the least of anyone. Hardly an indicator of power. 8. HE LIVED WITH HIS FAMILY AND MASTER ROSHI IN THE KAME HOUSE It’s housed Roshi, Oolong, Krillin, Goku, Yamcha, Umigame AND Launch in the past. Housing Krillin, 18, a baby/toddler, and Roshi is hardly filled to capacity. That said... they move. They move as soon as they can afford their own home, which is shortly after 18 gets her fall money from Mr. Satan. 7. HIS FUSION WITH PICCOLO I’d just like to state for the record that this is literally complaining about a fun drawing Toriyama did of what Krillin and Piccolo would look like Fused. That is all. 6. HE CAN ABSORB SPIRIT BOMBS AND USE THEIR ENERGY Aaand we’re back to video games. 5. HE’S THE STRONGEST HUMAN ON EARTH Ok now this one? This one is utter BS. Krillin outpacing Tien makes perfect sense since it’s been happening since Tien first appeared. When everyone came back for the 23rd Budokai? The gap between those two shrunk. A lot. Krillin had not only taught HIMSELF how to fly, how to steer energy after firing it, and more, but he’d improved to the point of Piccolo not only using his true power to beat him, but he managed to survive a blow Piccolo assumed HAD to have killed him... and made Piccolo question whether or not he was even strong enough to conquer this world even if he DID beat Goku. When the Saiyans came? Even smaller gap with the exact same time to train. And Tien even had the benefit of having Chiaotzu as a partner, Krillin was off finishing his training solo. And the Grand Elder awakening his dormant potential, as well as the combat experience on Namek, finally sealed the deal. After all, Yamcha was still intently training at that time too, and Krillin surpassed him. Why then is it so hard to believe he could surpass Tien? It also doesn’t help that Tien doesn’t actually train nonstop, despite what anime filler would have you believe. He runs a dojo and a farm to boot. Tien is also demonstrably still weaker than Krillin in Super and lasts longer in the Tournament because he and Roshi are taking cover and surprising targets to knock them out while they’re off-guard. So there’s that. 4. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE EXCITING FOIL TO BORING GOKU He was created as a rival character to play off Goku and give Goku something to measure himself against. That doesn’t exactly mean he’s meant to be “more exciting”, but to bring an element of entertainment to the series that had been missing, as well as give Goku someone his own age to grow with. Nice dig at the character at the end though. Top notch. 3. HE NAMES HIS DAUGHTER AFTER HIS EX-GIRLFRIEND For the last time: Maron. Is. A. Filler. Character. Toriyama did not create her. Toriyama did not name her. Toriyama named Krillin’s daughter “Marron” because it’s French for “Chestnut”, which is a play on the fact that the first syllable in Krillin’s Japanese name, “Kuri”, also means chestnut. It’s not at ALL indicative of “lingering feelings” for a character that Toriyama didn’t even make, let alone doesn’t appear in his manga or continuity at all. 2. HE NEARLY ALLOWS VEGETA TO GAIN IMMORTALITY Well, it was more or less that or let the kid he’d sworn he’d keep safe die. I don’t really blame him for at least entertaining the idea at that point. An ultimately bad idea? Yeah. But one born of desperation. Hardly the first for characters in this series. And finally... 1. HIS MISSING NOSE ...wow. It’s... it’s a physical deformity. I’m not sure what about that doesn’t make sense? This list was even more of a dumpster fire than usual.

(tw for incest, incest apologism, stalking, death threats, systemfaking/ableism, abuse apologism)
first callout: https://appearifycallout.tumblr.com/post/159542443182/callout-for-tumblr-user-appearifyfuchsianshoruss
It seems we’re back again with calling out tumblr user Appearify. Leon, or Lane, Chase, Miles- or whatever name he has chosen to use to try and separate himself from the monstrous things he did, has been up to more things as of late, more or less warranting a follow up callout to the last. If you haven’t read the last callout, you should (link, in case you couldn’t grab it before you started reading), and if you were swayed by his excuses on that one, here’s a post debunking that.
Leon has “apologized” numerous times for his actions, and has made claims about changing and being a better person, yet this has apparently been a statement ongoing for years, which is why I am writing this callout. I have no intention of bringing harm to Leon or his friendgroup, but instead I’m trying to warn others away from their actions. Anything involving Leon after this I will not take part in, as I am choosing to drop the situation lest something comes up again.
stalking & death threats:
Getting right into it, we have several screenshots worth of Leon’s cronies stalking, harassing, and sending death threats to a user who has tried to actively escape Leon and his friends.
(These were originally deleted from their inbox during a panic attack, but a screenshot from their activity page was salvaged. The Static Collection refers to the system belonging to user staticsignalz, one of Leon’s friends. )
Above, you can see death threats sent to the person who made the debunking of Leon’s “apology” (receipts will be listed in another section). They had changed blogs specifically to escape the hate and personal attacks sent at them from after the callout and the debunking.
The person in question receiving threats and being harassed is a 15-year-old with OSDD, hardly a teenager, and Leon’s ex-datemate, who is currently struggling with PTSD and severe suicidal tendencies because of the situation. Below is a number of harassing messages that were sent to them.
(link) (link) (link) (link) (link) (link)
Below is the protector of the system explaining why they did the things they did.
(link) (link)
The protector owns up to his system’s mistakes, and says that he wants the situation to be over with. Leon’s friends, however, continued to harass them, so much into the point of moving. They moved after only being able to stay on their blog for two months.
On their new blog, they were safe for about two weeks, before they began receiving the hateful messages (refer to the first few screenshots) after a promo for their blog.
One of Leon’s friends states this, saying that his friends found his ex’s blog. Now, this wouldn’t have been a problem if Leon had just silently put the blog URLs on his BYF and moved on. This person is essentially excusing Leon’s abuse to the person found by saying “it was accidental that he encountered their URL”.
(it looks like the response screenshotted above was deleted, but it was in response to one of their system mate’s posts.)
(link)
However, in the post linked, he claims that he “was perfectly content with them being know knows where out in Tumblrspace”. Leon has resorted to blatant lies in order to cover up the fact that he is continuously allowing his friends to harass his ex-datemate (who, again, is already dealing with severe PTSD from him).
The people listed here (aside from the last person(?)) are all victims of Leon’s abuse, and all people who are under 16. Leon states that he simply doesn’t want people who associate with the three following him in his apology, yet they’re compiled on his BYF as if they’re horrible people who hurt him. Chandlerdeans and Fantaspritewiki moved to get away from Leon’s friends’ constant stalking and torment, but the likeliest case is either that his friends have seeked them both out and/or Leon himself has seeked them out.
He makes quick work to distance himself from his image as Leon:
He states, in his tags on the first post, “I’m Jake now”. This is a blatant attempt to distance himself from his former image as an abuser without acknowledging or making any effort to change himself. Which, as a personal victim of his abuse, is extremely upsetting and frustrating to deal with.
To top it off, Leon’s ex-datemate is also kin with Jake English- one who is severely uncomfortable with doubles. Seeing doubles occasionally made (and still makes) them suicidal. Leon knew this, but knowingly kinned Jake anyways, as well as displaying blatant refusal to drop or repress the kin with excuses as to why he “can’t” drop the kin. Very shortly after, he began being more open about shipping JakeJane, which is his ex’s trigger ship. Do what you will with this information.
Incest, incest glorification, abuse apologism + noncon kink (RE):
Ah, speaking of JakeJane, we’re going to be moving on to the next section, we get into Leon’s unhealthy obsession with JakeJane (amongst other incestual/gross ships). Bear in mind that this section will jump the tracks and move onto the proof that his incestual ways tie into the fact that he’s into noncon.
Leon states that JakeJane isn’t incest, as they aren’t “blood related”. While this is true, Jake and Jane are still adopted second cousins-
One’s first instinct upon looking at this screenshot is to say, “well, Jake had a crush on Jane too! They were engaged in Trickster Mode!” Which, unfortunately for you, dear reader, is only partly true, as debunked and explained here in one small screenshot:
However, here, Leon states that it’s not “incest”, but a “fact”. Leon has participated in numerous incestual ships in the past, this only being one in the mixture.
On his BYF, he states:
Despite the fact that JakeJane is incest and abuse.
(link)
In his “apology”, Leon claims that he “used” to like such ships that are blatantly abusive and incestual. He claims that he wants no part of this anymore, however he has seemed to center his blog around JakeJane, a horribly abusive and incestual ship.
He claims that JakeJane “is not incest, because they’re not blood related”, which apparently gives him a pass to be open and practice it in a harmful way to others. He does not use JakeJane to cope. He praises and holds it to the heavens as if it’s healthy and a good situation for Jake English as a character to be in.
In reality, Jane was a horrible friend to him throughout most of the comic (intentionally, this was how Hussie wrote her off, mind you!), and here are some screenshots of many that prove this claim!
People are very, very quick to write this scene off as “it wasn’t Jane’s fault; she was being mind-controlled! She didn’t mean to do it!”, which would be true, if it weren’t for a very strong argument coming from the direction of an old friend who will not be named in this callout due to not being within 10 miles of this situation itself.
Leon has been doing this kind of shit since 2015, mind you, and he states it openly-
(link)
(link)
Leon has claimed to not “support” these kinds of ships, like the incestuous ZahhakCest above, yet he still ships JakeJane, which is, believe it or not, still incest. Adoptive cousins, adoptive siblings, half siblings are all still family members. He says he doesn’t support it “in canon,” which was visibly abusive, but that’s like saying none of the abusive stuff ever happened.
Again, note that Leon has never actually been abused, nor has he ever been a victim of incest, so he’s not using these ships to cope, either. Even if he was using it to cope, he’s doing it in the open, where victims of abuse and incest can see.
(link)
The sick fuck flatout admits to having thoughts of rape and murder, as well as the fact that he still indulges in it. While I understand having impulses and intrusive thoughts, there’s one thing that’s wrong with this (besides, wow, everything):
Leon thought it was okay to practice this “kink” around people who were/are harmed by it. He treats rape victims like jokes, and while I hate to scrape the bottom of the barrel like this, keep in mind that Leon has not changed his stance on this at all since 2015, which does not, in the slightest, nullify these arguments.
(link) (link) (link) (link) (link)
(link)
Leon blatantly mocks someone with trauma for being angry at him because of his noncon “kink”. He then brushes it off and tries to excuse it.
(link) (link)
He acts as if his actions are not harmful to the people around him; mirroring the way he treated his ex-datemate and their friends. Don’t be misled when Leon says-
(link)
-Because he is not sorry. He is not sorry at all. He will do whatever it takes to infantalize himself, to make himself look like the attacked, not the attacker. He does harmful things to people and throws fits (as shown above) when called out on them, instead attempting to make it about some completely different aspect, blown way out of proportion to push down the matter at hand.
The reason for the debunking post of the “apology” he made was to shed light onto this problem, not to say “this wasn’t good enough!”. The screenshot provided above was literally all Leon needed to say in order for this situation to be put to rest in its dusty coffin, but instead he chose to try and distance himself from his crimes, and act as if they weren’t harmful or wrong to anyone. He gives one apology, one apology in one tiny paragraph, and that’s the end- the rest is excuses.
This is still toxic behaviour that Leon has yet to distance himself from, despite outsider belief.
I tie this into the dilemma of incest shipping, because Leon is very open about what harmful things he does.
ableism/systemfaking:
Leon seems to have a very specific view on PDs and mental illness. Leon’s ex-datemate suffers from untreated BPD, which, as a result, causes explosive anger. As well as this, due to their trauma, they have a trauma response that is to get angry and defensive whenever they feel threatened. Leon believed this action to be bad, and would yell at them constantly for this, resulting in his ex-datemate having more trauma.
Leon blows this way out of proportion, calling himself “an abuse victim”. He believes his ex-datemate’s trauma response (specifically, explosive anger and fear directed towards him for the things he did to them) is “abuse”, and labels himself as such.
While that alone, is an ugly crime in itself, he seems to be infantalizing himself in order to gain sympathy from people by using this as a badge. He is someone who suffers from BPD himself, and did the same thing to his last two datemates multiple times.
(link)
Here, he blatantly admits that he tends to be overdramatic and act entitled, yet he refuses to take any action to change or admit his wrongdoings. He admits to being a horrible person who does terrible things, yet still calls himself an abuse victim. Which, we all know, is not in the slightest true.
Leon lives in a fairly wealthy household with his grandparents, who at the very most, leave him to his own accord on a daily basis, and yell at him at times for not doing chores, but that’s it. Nothing that has happened in the past 3-4 years of Leon’s life can be warranted for him to use the label “abuse victim”.
On another note, and getting right into it- he’s a fake system.
He clearly states that he’s an endogenic system, which, in case you aren’t keen on DID/OSDD knowledge: an endogenic system is a system made to be from "internal origins." It describes the natural occurrence of multiplicity that does not include trauma-based dissociation, or even dissociation of any kind.
(The taker of the screenshot was not very savvy with systems at the time, and still aren't- do excuse their lack of knowledge here.)
In short: fake. Endogenic systems are fake.
In his apology, he refuses to address any of this, even excusing his actions:
(link)
Breaking this down into pieces in two sentences or less for each portion-
1. Nobody asked whether or not he had a professional diagnosis. The writer of the first callout claims that he’s faking because his alters would “die”. 2. He doesn’t have OSDD-1B, because he’s Endogenic. 3. The apparent “writer of the callout” only has two Homestuck fictives, the rest are nonfictives kin with Homestuck characters and feel comfortable going by their kin names. 4. This is untrue. Fictives are rare in all systems. It’s literally scientific fact.
He also blatantly sexualizes characters that are his “system mates”, but claims that the posts were not about the particular system mate. In the case of this, Leon, as a system host, should not be treating his “alters” this way, even if he did “get consent” to talk like that. Alters are not toys, they are people with feelings.
Not much else needs to be said here, this mess just sorts itself out.
abuse apologism:
While I hate to be short on this section, not much here really needs to be said, aside from Leon’s response to the first callout, as well as his affiliations to Jane Crocker.
(link)
All of this, essentially, is one big attempt for Leon to excuse and brush off taking any responsibility for his actions. He acts as if he’s sorry in the very beginning, but instead goes on to “provide his viewpoint” on the situation, essentially stating that he believes what he’s done isn’t wrong, problematic, e.t.c., as well as showing that he has a rather large victim complex.
As well as that, he seems to have an affiliation for Jane Crocker, which strikes me as odd, given the fact that Jane is Jake’s abuser. He makes claims that hating her is “misogynistic”, despite not being a girl himself, giving him no room to dispute what is and isn’t misogynistic.
Even going so far as to copy the format of the trend his ex-datemate started to glorify her, Leon has yet to provide evidence that Jane is as innocent and pure as he makes her out to be.
sexualization of minors:
Note that the people in this group chat are as young as fourteen years old. Leon openly hinted at sexual things, and often made sexual passes, going so far as to talk about openly masturbating and sexual things he did with his body.
Leon never received consent to make sexual passes and jokes to the people in the group, assuming that they were comfortable with it from the start. Again, the three people he associated with were minors who, in some degree, have dealt with rape/sexual abuse & sexual harassment.
Although he acknowledged it, he refused to respect the boundaries of his friends, and continuously made sexual passes and advances to his ex-datemate.
Nowhere in his “apology” does he once address this issue, making it about how the callout was filled with “nullified information”. Not once does he apologize for this harmful behavior. He attempts to play the card that his ex-datemate was into this kind of stuff, but in truth, as a rape victim, they were extremely uncomfortable, only refusing to speak up due to their fear of Leon getting angry with them.
things that do not fit into the callout, but should be addressed:
Leon is angry and violent when he doesn't get his way. He is selfish, controlling, and manipulative- using any excuses he may be able to dig up in order to excuse his actions. For years he has been saying that he'll change and become a better person, but continues to refuse to do so. He turned down help when it was offered, and as stated before, he made excuses as to why he couldn’t do what was suggested by his past friends to help him improve.
He openly admits to doing bad things, yes, but while this is true, Leon believes that since he acknowledges his abusive behavior, that he does not have to change it.
Leon is a very dangerous person who, as the previous callout states, uses a myriad of lies and projection to step out of the fires and turmoil he has caused unharmed. This behavior has been going on for years; it has not seized, and it is unlikely that it will.
To Leon, if you are reading this callout, as I know you will, I'm warning you now to spare yourself and just get off the internet. I can only hope you haven't hurt or manipulated your new friends as much as you have with your past victims.
here is a list of Leon's blogs, in case you'd like to block him:

What’s in a Good LinkedIn Summary? Examples, Templates, and Tips
Imagine you were trying to get a job fifty years ago. You would find a job listing in a newspaper, set up an in-person interview, and walk in with your resume to introduce yourself to the company.
Today, LinkedIn has taken the place of the newspaper, your resume, and even that first meeting. Your presence on LinkedIn matters. In fact, 87 percent of recruiters will vet your candidacy by visiting your LinkedIn profile, according to data from Jobvite. So with this in mind, a great LinkedIn profile starts with a fantastic summary.
How to Write a Killer LinkedIn Summary
When setting out to write your summary, remember how LinkedIn users will interact with it on your profile. When someone goes to your profile, they’ll scan your title and location, see your photo, and notice if you have under 500 connections. After that, they’ll likely turn to your summary to get to know you. It’s the equivalent of a public cover letter: it gives your contacts a sense of who you are before they read what you’ve done.
Here’s a screenshot of my LinkedIn profile, for those of you following along at home. Because it’s so visible (and often public), your summary is the best place to capture your potential new contacts’ attention and give them a glimpse of your personality. Therefore, the most important rule of writing a LinkedIn summary is to make it original. You are a unique, talented professional, and your summary should capture the things that make you the greatest social media manager, writer, banker, underwater basket-weaver, etc.
Before you start writing your LinkedIn summary, you should do two things. First, search for leaders in your field, and check out the key terms they use to describe themselves. These keywords will help your profile appear in LinkedIn’s search results. Then, ask yourself these questions, and jot down any surprising things you discover:
Who am I at work?
What are the core features and values of my personality?
What unique perspectives and experience do I bring to my field?
What original ideas have I brought to the place where I work now?
Here’s a tip: Don’t know which keywords to include? Try googling your job title and see which words are used in job postings, descriptions of your position, and other top search results.
After you’ve generated a few ideas, it’s time to draft. Check out these tips for structuring your summary.
Writing Your LinkedIn Summary
Summaries don’t need to be long, but you might want to take a moment to plan and write yours. Here are a few tips to make your summary shine:
1 Write your summary in the first person. Unless you’re a celebrity or public figure, we all know you wrote it yourself.
2 Keep it short. Don’t say something in five words that could be said in two. Also, shoot for four to five paragraphs of no more than a sentence or two each.
3 Proofread everything multiple times. Read your LinkedIn summary out loud to make sure it sounds natural and eliminate mistakes.

What Are the Parts of a Great LinkedIn Summary?
Authenticity and creativity are the hallmarks of a great summary, which is why most LinkedIn summaries feature distinct sections. Make sure you nail these to make your summary perfect.
The Opening Line
Writing an engaging opening line is key to drawing in potential employers, clients, partners, and contacts. To find your opener, just think: what is the first thing someone should know about me?
If you’re still stumped, try these tips for great first lines, and experiment! If you set a timer for ten minutes, you can probably write fifteen different opening lines. Then it’s just a matter of choosing the one that suits you.
The Pitch
After your first line (or first few lines), you’ll want to explain in the best way possible why you’re a rising star in your field. Remember those keywords we collected above? Now is the time to use them. Tell your readers what you’re passionate about, what you’re good at, and why these things matter.
If you need more help pitching yourself, check out these tips for writing a great pitch.
The Call to Action
After you’ve written three or four concise paragraphs, wrap it up. As you’re closing out your profile, consider the action you want your profile-viewer to take. Do you want them to email you if they’re interested in becoming a client? Do you want them to message you with job opportunities? Do you want them to tweet funny cat memes at you?
Whatever action you want people to take when reading your LinkedIn, list it at the end of your profile. In most cases, a simple “Message me with” or “Email me if” will suffice.
The Proof
Thought you were done with this whole LinkedIn thing? Wrong! Put your work samples where your mouth is.
Many LinkedIn gurus will suggest a “skills” or “strategies” list in your summary, both to pack in keywords and to show your skills at the top of your profile. If you have lots of relevant skills, certifications, or knowledge, feel free to include a list of your abilities. If that’s not your style, never fear! Attach samples of your work below your summary. Show off that video, slide deck, report, or publication that you finished recently. These embeds are very helpful in proving that you know what you’re talking about.

Surprising Celebrity: Shaq’s LinkedIn Summary
Shaquille O’Neal may not be the first person who’d come to mind when you think “great LinkedIn profile,” but his LinkedIn is a slam dunk. His summary is engaging, to-the-point, and explains his career transitions well. It’s definitely worth checking out.
During 19 seasons in the National Basketball League, I drove success on and off the court. I developed partnerships with global brands, pursued my academic interests in business and leadership and became the only current or former NBA player to hold three degrees: a bachelor’s, a master’s and a doctorate.
Basketball remains a big part of my life, whether it is providing NBA analysis on TV, serving as part-owner of the Sacramento Kings or appearing as a featured character in the latest video games. Since 1985, every NBA championship team has included a current or former teammate. I guess that makes me the Kevin Bacon of basketball.
Since retiring from the basketball court, I’ve expanded my brand relationships into one of the most diverse portfolios in the business world. As an early adopter of technology, I’ve identified innovative organizations as a serial tech investor. I work with brands that are household names such as Turner Networks, Reebok, IcyHot, AT&T and many other great companies. I also bring my business acumen to like-minded companies as a featured speaker at conferences and events nationwide.
Though I’m best known for basketball and business, my interests have always varied. I’ve released four studio albums and served as a sworn reserve officer in several law enforcement agencies across the country. I’ve collaborated on everything from fashion lines and jewelry to best-selling beverages and foods; from the latest technology products and games to children’s books.
Bonus: My Summary!
Want to see an average, everyday LinkedIn summary? Here’s the text of my summary, which was included above. Let me know what you think in the comments.
As a child, I once loaded up the entire Civil War section of my local library into a wagon, because I was going to write the next great work of 1860s historical fiction.
Although I never published my heavily referential short story, a spirit of intrigue and a voracious love to read have followed me to this day. In all aspects of my life, I gravitate toward three things: rapid innovation, unbridled creativity, and one hell of a challenge. For this reason, my interests range from stop-motion YouTube videos to discussing the sociological impact of comics, the judicious use of Google Analytics filters to the transformative power of the Oxford comma. I’m always in favor of the most effectively creative solution to a problem, even if it requires maximum effort.
Currently, I create engaging social experiences for a community of over 10 million bibliophiles and grammar nerds for Grammarly. Our free writing app ensures everything you type is easy to read, effective, and mistake-free. Want to know more about social strategy, effective creativity, or Grammarly?
