Well-being increases when working hours are reduced—while productivity remains the same or even increases moderately. This was supported by a Germany-wide study conducted by the University of Münster under the scientific direction of Professor Dr. Julia Backmann and co-led by Dr. Felix Hoch. "The four-day week led to a significant positive change in life satisfaction, which was mainly due to the additional free time," remarked the researcher. Before the pilot project, 64% of the employees therefore expressed the desire to spend more time with their families. After the introduction of the four-day week, this figure was reduced to 50%.

Lots of people feel refreshed after a three-day weekend. How about having one every week? Almost 200 companies around the world have completed six-month trials of a four-day workweek, with no reductions in employee pay. So far, the results are promising.

Ayesha Khan says she isn't sure she could return to traditional work after shifting to a four-day work week.
[...]
"How would I go back to that five-day life? It would be very difficult," said Khan, who works in client services for Sensei Labs, a Toronto-based software company.
"Being able to focus on both my physical and mental health, and just having the time to do that... it's been invaluable."
Khan is one of hundreds of employees in North America who now work four days a week after participating in a pilot project organized by the non-profit advocacy group 4 Day Week Global and researchers at Boston College.

Help a transmasc butch grad student out by answering some questions!
Hi everyone! This is the point in my MBA where I'm going to be annoying and ask if y'all could please fill out this quick survey for my capstone project?
It's 8 questions long, takes about a minute-ish to complete, and covers burnout, work/life balance, work environment alternatives, and a modified work week (ex: 4 days x 10hrs).
Anyone can take it including if you're not currently working and it's completely anonymous!
Please rb and spread this to as many people as possible!
Thank you!!

We’re back again!!
Heartwarming News #9:
An LA restauranteur has launched a food delivery service to feed people displaced by the wildfires there!!
More than 200 UK companies have permanently signed on to a four-day work week, allowing for both higher productivity levels and for their employees to have more time off with their families!!
Humanity is great. :)

When we eventually finally normalize a four day work week in society the extra day off needs to be on Wednesday, thereby making all work days either feel like a Thursday or Friday vibe wise.

I want RENT CONTROL. Because without it, Universal Basic Income doesn't matter. Without rent control, the minute UBI goes into effect, the cheapest rent in every city, town, and hamlet-- every cold water pad with no doors and black mold everywhere-- is suddenly UBI+100$.
Abolish landlords and their feudal goddamned parasitism. Abolish the commodification of basic human needs. As a step toward that: motherfucking rent control.

It's still too much work
If you’re an advocate of the four-day workweek you’re going about this all wrong. Instead of working fewer hours for the same pay – which, again let me confirm, is never going to happen – you should be pushing for changes in work schedules. Many industries – like healthcare, home services and retail – allow flexibility in scheduling so that workers put in four 10-hour days and then have three days off. I know younger workers who have this arrangement at their employers and they love it. Working a 10-hour shift isn’t that much different than an eight-hour shift, but having three days off in a week makes a big difference. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2024/apr/28/four-day-week-work

Call this the Whoopsie AU (it's barely an AU)
I mean. Narinder never explicitly SAID the Lamb would stay dead... :3c He probably should have been more specific. >:3c
Part Two:

Well. The Lamb tried, but...sorry, Nari, the crown hates you now. Shouldn't have been so quick to lend it out, I guess. :D
Aaaand Part Three:

'Isn't he just adorable?' -The Lamb, probably, while their followers smile and nod and internally scream at the brand new hellcat they now have to share living space with...
Anyway, nothing says 'Dead To Me' like following a person around to loudly remind them of how dead they are to you. Right? Right. Narinder's got this all figured out. <:]
