I came up to tell my beloved some heartfelt shit about how they carried the load for me so much when my illness was at its worst and even though there’s a lot on my plate right now it’s nothing they put there and it’s okay and then I saw their nose twitch and we both stared silently into each others eyes while I watched them try to figure out what treat I had just eaten that they could faintly smell on my breath.

As the image of mere mortals are one I simply cannot bring myself to create with my own hands [He's probably bad at drawing people] I had decided to fulfill your humble request by drawing animals that would most likely befit them instead. Even someone as I can have some leniency, yes. Heheh...

If explanation are needed, as I would expect from mere mortals, I shall provide.

For Mortal Nevermind, she is most definitely one of the classmates I can tolerate the most. I would say a British Shorthair Cat would fit her nicely. The breed is known to be rather elegant and expensive, at least, as far as I am aware. It is also of european decent, similar to her own origins of Novoselic. Along with that, with it being the inspiration for the infamous Cheshire Cat of the renowned story Alice of Wonderland, being something you wouldn't expect of a cat, often portrayed as mischievous and sly, a difference compared to the general consesus of felines being more laidback creatures, it would fit her own personality as well, as it also wouldn't be one that a regular human would expect of someone of her stature. As for Mortal Mioda, granted, I may not be as close as I am with her compared to say, Mortal Nevermind, I can say I can tolerate her as well. The Broad-Billed Hummingbird could fit her. An obvious thing to point out is the humming sound that comes from the beating their wings, coming rather naturally like how Mortal Mioda's music does to her. Despite the males seemingly being more flashy compared to the females, they are still bold nonetheless, rather similar to her own eccentricity.

Mortal Hinata is a bit more of a basic enigma, I would say, but still, I suppose among the others he can be considered just a bit better. A found a Common Goldfish would befit him. It is, as stated in its own name, common, a basic fish like how Mortal Hinata is rather plain himself. Though still, similar to how Mortal Hinata seems to simply just attract others to him, the fish truly is a popular one.

Mortal Souda..... by no means he is a favorite of mine, but unfortunately I had succumbed to a temptation. I found that Ferrets are rather active creatures, often running around and the sort. A reason for why the Sable Ferret in particular is due to the fact some could compare it's colours and appearance to that of a Raccoon, which could also be thought of as someone as grimy as Mortal Souda is.

i think season 11 wash has a really interesting arc where like. he comes to understand that the reds and blues are like. people? because like. he definitely CARES about them by the end of season 10 but he’s also very… i am the Adult here who needs to wrangle these children sim troopers because i am their superior leader and they can’t be trusted. while he’s not actively cruel to them the way he was in season 6 he still had the same air of superiority. i am the Freelancer i Outrank You. like you especially see this in his growing friendship with tucker where he’s drilling him (nice) and yelling at him and very much treating him like he was his inferior (i am going to break you) because he’s SO indoctrinated into this military mindset of hierarchy and discipline that it’s only when tucker expresses genuine emotion (he’s gone now and all i have is you) that wash goes. oh. you aren’t just this one dimensional sim trooper are you. you’re a whole ass person with complex feelings and a rich inner world and you are. hurting. and he’s able to look at caboose and see the same. and he goes ohhhh i’m doing a bad job here aren’t i. and he goes back to his own colors instead of churchs and like there’s SOOO much symbolism in this action it’s insane but for this purposes it’s very much. shedding the role of leader that he was put into to be the “church” and instead is just. himself. wash never takes a lead role again after this he’s 100% supporting. like. freckles shake is him being a self sacrificial little bitch but it’s also very much him trusting that tucker will be able to save him. this is not an action wash would have taken at the beginning of the season.

Something something Gideon always inevitably wakes up with Kremy on or curled up next to him because being cold-blooded he seeks out the literal furnace sleeping next to him every night.

Frost is usually nearby too, but only if they're sleeping outside and not in beds, he's not cold-blooded but he is a cat, of course he likes to be near a heater too.

And now that I think about it, Torbek would be there too, having gone through what he has and severly underweight, his circulation is terrible and despite having his own layer of fur, he just can't stay warm on his own, so he sleeps sandwiched between Gideon and Hootsie

Just. A whole cuddle puddle of all of them, Gricko curls up next to Hootsie, Twig sleeps under Gideons arm, and when Pigtunias around she acts as a pillow for him

I love cuddle puddles and I love characters who naturally make everyone more comfortable to sleep around them 😭😭

mass effect fandom loves to say "i don't see shep romancing ash/kaidan in me1 and then romancing someone in me2* after the horizon scene as cheating" even though y'all never established that there was an official breakup - and you get an email from them saying that they want to be able to work things out

cause you know, thats what mature adults do in a relationship - communicate and try to work it out

and yet AND YET they will get huffy at kaidan for going on 1 (one) singular date with a doctor because he was pushed into it by his friends who wanna help him try to move on 2 (two) double years of shepard being dead - and try to act like thats the same thing ... huh

i think the fandom needs to realize the game/some ppl saying "shep is a cheater in this circumstance" is not saying shep (for that alone) is a horrible person or irredeemable (or that they as the player are horrible for that) but as a flaw they need to accept and deal with?

but they can't accept that their shepard may have actual human flaws and do things wrong, or that there are characters who don't just blindly follow along with everything they do and kiss their feet at every circumstance

there are issues with how the horizon scene is handled - on shepard's end but everyone wants to make it the vimire surivor's problem for having a realistic human reaction to whats going on

*i will say i will side eye the romanceable in me2 me1 squadmates for being totally cool with getting with shep w/no mention of their previous LI - i think there should've been a small bit of dialogue there with some reservations abt it/shepard saying they've moved on from that relationship but hey! fandom darlings get away with murder lmao
