Last night Tiny Tim was showing signs of a cystitis flare-up, so I stayed up until after 4 AM so when Jon got up for work I could ask him to help me medicate the cat.

We gave him some anti-inflammatory meds, and I kept him in the main room with me the rest of the night/morning, and kept Leon and Jill in the hallway so they wouldn't bother him. Whenever Tim is feeling sick, Leon seems to think it's his chance to go all Starscream on his ass and try to become the Alpha Cat or whatever.

Anyway.

Tim does seem improved this morning. He was excited for breakfast, is getting around fine, came to me for snuggles, and hasn't been unusually vocal like he was last night (he makes a certain noise when he has discomfort/pain) and the other cats are treating him normally

I'm still keeping an eye on him. Will likely give him another dose of medicine when Jon gets home from work, but hopefully the worst of it has passed 🤞🤞

Given that the Switch 2 remotes are rumored to have mouse sensors, I’m hoping for a Mario Paint 2 that’s literally just a mid-quality, extremely easy to use art program with layering and a bunch of brush options. Maybe with flipnote studio and pictochat features built in if you want to get crazy.

something i think is very funny about veilguard is the black sclera FINALLY being an option now

i know i was pretty fuckin loud about qunari/vashoth NEEDING to have black sclera back in the day (it sets them apart a bit more as something more than just "taller humans with horns) , and i still stand by that, tbh, but upon playing da2 (the game with the first Solid Qunari "design"--even if it was like three models reused ad infinitum) for the first time in several years on a bigger screen and higher definition, i've come to a realization

i don't think the qunari actually ever had black sclera, i think their eyes were just so deep-set and shadowed by their brow (because THE HORNS FOLLOW THE BROWBONE, VEILGUARD!!!!) that it just looked like the da2 qunari's sclera were black!

so, we were wrong the entire time

but i WILL keep doing it regardless😤

oh yeah!!!! forgot to mention this is my last day at work :') honestly the pay wasn't the greatest (not complaing though, this is a public position and it was certainly enough to get by) but ngl this was probably one of the most enjoyable jobs ive had 😭❤️ for a ridiculously conservative population like this im glad they seemed to enjoy the numerous marxist solutions to all their problems getting slid in under the reasoning of "community/small town values" and "neighbours having each other's back" and 5 minute small talk about how taxes work at the line in the grocery store lmao

got an interview on monday and i'm Stressed. there's a lot of candidates and like not even i would pick myself why would someone else choose me? and i don't even want a job with that many hours bc i'm scared of regressing to the person i was last year i made so much progress after i quit my last job i feel almost good these days but i also really need an internship...

I got a new pair of headphones today (the ones i bought when i was 13 just don't fit anymore...) and they're really comfy and all but the best part i didn't even notice until i took them out of the packaging.... They have an aux cord option!! They had an aux cord included. They've got bluetooth but! It's an option! I am so happy about this

Random PSA of if you have a PC tower please remember to check the air vents and fans for dust build up, especially during the warmer months of the year when electronics overheat anyway

I had to open my tower up to install a new hard drive today and after air blasting the dust out it's running damn near silently, and my toes no longer cook under the desk, so it's worth doing

I have a FiOS 1 gig connection at home and I was AMAZED at how webpages load almost instantly after I installed a pi-hole type DNS blocker for my home network.

>We also discovered that every link on Twitter was blocked. This was solved by whitelisting the https://t.co domain.

there are some games that i think might feel better to play on my switch 1 but the lack of game save backups without paying for NSO is kinda unpleasant and makes me want to not. like instead i could get the games on steam and yeah sure the steam deck isnt as light or slick as the switch 1 but at least valve dont charge you for cloud backups and you can manually backup any save yourself why would i get a lesser version of the same game for slightly more just because the console is a bit thinner?
