This was not a surprise for most Tempuras and Starmins since VG have been in Japan since HoloExpo last March. But to finally have announcement is very exciting!

Making titles for artworks is my weakness so I definitely don't know what's gonna happen. But I wonder if additional lore would be involved. Machina's showcase title is probably is the most puzzling. "Parallel Life Happiness; Forfeited Growth", what does that mean? But if I would go without the title, I'm hoping to see a Mecha anime-esque show for Machina.

Much like with HQ 3D collab, I'm excited to see who in JP would be joining VG. I hope Miyabi and Rio would be there. I need to see Miyabi, Temma and Machina together, and Bettel and Hakka fighting for Rio.

There are a lot of going on for June since its HOLOSTARS 5TH ANNIVERSARY!! And there are also birthdays to celebrate this month too!

I am not someone who watches vtubers often, or at least lately, time issues and just watching other things but Hololive's always been something I check back on and that includes Holostars and the relatively new Tempus group.

Flayon is really cool and nice to watch in an odd way, even though I haven't been watching too many streams, he's definitely a youtuber I'm keeping up with. He seems so sweet and cool and his voice acting abilities on the fly are a real treat to watch. good shit to say the least. So when I wanted to make a little character, the old like first "Machiroon"/Mascot thing seemed good even though I see this design a bit less than the new one. Still cool. I even had the initial idea of making a humanization/ person version of this little mascot guy. That would take more work though and me actually designing something original which I do not have enough confidence for..yet

If anyone has seen a similar kind of art, please send it my way, It probably won't take it as a design but I just want to see it, it seems neat.

Also personal goal thing, this is the first 3D art thing I've ever publicly shared..pretty sure.

Checking out Holostars: Vanguard Debuts and Movin’ On

Over the past month, there have been a number of events for Holostars, the men’s side of hololive. While I don’t usually watch them often, I decided to check out both the Tempus Vanguard 3D debuts, as well as the Holostars JP 5th anniversary concert, Movin’ On. While the boys get only a fraction of the attention that the girls do, it’s become clear to me that this discrepancy has little to do…

Dude I feel like I only looked away for five minutes

Alright so the new wave shot down my guess from a while back. I genuinely didn't think we'd get a new EN Stars wave ahead of ID4 or a new JP Stars wave. But I guess I can see the logic. The EN market is huge, it's got a lot of potential for growth in it, and it's where hololive firmly has an edge in.

I'm fairly biased in wanting more ID members sooner, but even I can see the logic there. holoID haven't really broken through the larger ID market until Kobo.

Somewhat related here, y'all see the post announcing the new year concert? On the hololive side, it pretty straightforwardly lists all the members performing, but on the holostars side, they tacked a 'And more...' in the performers list. My guess is, we'll either get Tempus 3D debuts between now and the end of the year, or Tempus will debut in 3D in the new year concert before getting proper 3D showcases early next year. That way, we'll have Advent and ReGloss hyping the concert on the hololive side, and Armis hyping on the holostars side.

We'll see how it goes

But- I can't help but notice the stage is so very empty. It feels like the two are trying their hardest to make up for the fact that there should be four people shooting the shit on stage instead of just the two of them. Axel and Altare are basically forced to be twice as entertaining and energetic to make up for the emptiness. I don't blame Vesper and Magni for leaving at all. But as a Vestie, I can't help but be sad, even though I know I should be happy for the two remaining members of HQ.

I'm trying so hard, but I can't stop thinking about what could've been.

01092024- Media Consumption Diary #6

Missed a lot of thing i know. I started focusing in genshin again, deleted some games, read a few mangas, new holostar merch, etc etc.

1) Genshin-- I completed Simulanka event 1 day bfore it expired. I was so glad i decided to do it, love the stories, the exploration, the lore: i have so many things to talk abt simulanka but imma save for other post.

Also,, NATLAN'S UPDATE YIPPEEE~ (new mechanics, more variety of npc, ui design). Pulled for Mualani bcs shes so fun to play, then imma focus on pyro archon.

-- Finished Dehya's story quest/ increased world level to 9 (took me 3 tries lol i bring a wrong team)/ got Dehya on free 5 star event bcs i wanna see how long Diluc gonna take to come home 🙄.

2) HSR-- More focus on farming Kafka/ Jingyuan's relics (its been almost 3 weeks pls)-- ver 2.5 announced their banner which are consisting Kafka, Feixiao(?), Blackswan, Robin (Helpskkskskskks that's not fair i need to build my kafka teammmmm Blackswann noooooo) i think imma pull for robin then focus on Sunday. Also Sunday's banner prediction is on 2.7 we're so cooked 😭😭😭 (also if there's any aventurine's rerun imma gone)

3) HOLOSTAR- ive been watching a lot of their old jp clips after 8GO Vsai. The most memorable one is Triple A-chan, Astel's mad maggie drills, toiletempo, horror games compilations etc2. Also watched their prev 3D lives concerts, im in love honestly especially Izuru n Tempus HQ. Also im so proud reading all the jp comments about them like yes pls they're so underrated they deserve so much love.

4) Manga(s) - Read a few on the app

Empyreal Cabinet (Fumiji Yuba) - exorcist monster but they work w government and the public's aware of their existence. -2 cpt

Kagurabachi (Takeru Hokazono)- Finished the 1st arc i think, the auction arc. Chihiro got new friends, find ways to seal back that one sword ( ughh i forgot the plot the moment i leave the manga. But i remember right away when i read the new chpt tho ) So far i really like the story.

Darling's Vanishing Act (Yadu) - A pro smtg2 assassin or smtg that offer service to help people to get out of a situation. This dude save a mafia's daughter, fell in love with her (her name is Darling) but the girl kinda rejected him, telling him to find other woman that will truly love him. Idk i think this story gonna follow abt how he tries to track back Darling after they separated while also dealing with mafia conflicts. -1 chpt
