Memories...

Morning! Dropbox have started sending me emails and texts to let me know that my account is now full and that basically my life is going to be tedious until I upgrade to some super duper alternative that keeps my piles of unnecessary admin here once was pieces of paper now flecks of bytes of a giant forbidding server in a super cooled warehouse at an undisclosed location for a small fee. Super functionality across a multitude of platforms. Efficient and very handy. Such is the power of Dropbox's brand. I will attempt to have an office tidy and release some space. Lord knows I may even by a data stick!! So very noughties. The reason I don't want to upgrade is: I already pay Apple a small fee to have a cloud, floating in a beautiful digitally fabricated sunlit sky in perpetual spring light that smells of Jo Malone, in another much less forbidding ergonomically designed server in an oxygenated glass house that's kept at a regulated temperature by vegetation, also at an undisclosed location though probably a desert island; such is the power of Apple's brand. However, I've still not quite figured out how the ICloud works, or whether it's even just 'iCloud'. It doesn't have functionality across platforms unless said platform is cutting edge. I think I've managed to ever upload two images. Apparently there's something there but I'm not sure what. And there's a tonne of space there. All that safe I the knowledge for just 79p a month. I remember when... Oh! I remember. Why do I need all this storage? What am I afraid I'll lose? Apart from my mind. And when that's gone I won't really know anyway. Nobody else know it's there or what's in it anyway. In years to come there will be all these memories, but no one will know what the passwords are- or at least someone will know the passwords, but they won't know the people. Crikey. That's a bit deep for a Friday morning. And it's not even a wake n bake day...

Small bits of pressure slide down the back of your shoulder as if to remain anonymous or inconspicuous.
