It is during rest & recovery where the growth & rebuilding occurs. If you’re constantly stressing the body and not giving it a chance to rest and recover, you’re hindering progress. More stress. More inflammation. Poor results. You want the best results possible, right? Scroll 👉🏼 for signs you might need a rest day. Our society glamorizes the hustle, but that’s a sure fire way to burnout. You don’t need to be in the gym 6-7 days a week to see progress. More is not better. Ditch the guilt, take the rest day, go for a walk, sleep in, clear your schedule and your mind. You WILL reap the benefits and help your progress (not hinder it)! This week I took 2 full rest days. I slept a lot, my body needed it. I overdid it and my body said “if you don’t chose to rest, I’ll chose for you”. So I rested and now I’m ready to get back at it. Still doing good in spite of not being able to go to the gym. Just doing body weight exercises and using what I have at home. Also seeing this marble affect happening on the back of my neck. I have vitiligo which is an autoimmune disorder where your body attacks it’s own pigment cells for some reason. Apparently it’s created this pattern on my neck. I now see it as something beautiful and unique about me. It used to bother me a little bit because I though the discoloring on my face made me look splotchy and older than I am but I now see it as something else.
