Danny had not planned to be kidnapped while out on a simple grocery run, but here he is! Tied up in a random warehouse as the bad guys work in a make-shift lab across the room.

While he would have gladly just phased through the ropes, and disappeared, that wasn’t really an option with the other hostages sitting right next to him.

The only thing he could do right now is wait, and hope one of the Gotham vigilantes comes before Danny has no choice but to intervene. He’s not going to let anyone in here get hurt on his watch.

So far the kidnappers have given no insight into what they're making, or planning to do with them. Which does surprise him since he thought that was a requirement to bring a villian.

Luckily, a vigilante, Red Robin, shows up before they can complete whatever they’re making. What’s not so lucky though is when Red Robin is fighting the bad guys one of them throws the liquid they were working on directly in the vigilante’s face.

Stumbling back Red puts a hand over his face in an effort to wipe the liquid away, and when he looks up makes direct eye contact with Danny. Even with the white lenses he can feel the eyes borrow into him.

By this time a few of the other vigilantes are here fighting the rest of the bad guys while Red Robin starts making his way towards Danny; never for a second looking away. Even ignoring the concerned calls from his teammates.

Red Robin is now standing directly in front of him, and almost seems to be holding himself back from reaching a hand out, “I’m in love you.”

And the only thing Danny can think to himself is that he did not sign up for some love potion bullshit.

Hazel's Book Club

I'm doing this again! hopefully consistently! Apologies to the two of you who care, I've been kinda busy the last while.

First story I wanna shout out is Pocket Healer by abby_gay_ill, it's super sweet and gay and I love it dearly. Very dense egg hatches after teaming up with some supportive folks on (a game that is totally not) overwatch. It's funny and it does remind me of some of my time with the game it's based on (and I also definitely didn't have any gender feelings there xP)

Next up is Compass of True Love by Muffin_Maeve, which is a polyam fantasy romance drama thingy, and it's been fun so far. Still ongoing and a bit more explicit than some of the others I recommend so take that as a warning, but other than that it's lovely and I hope it continues ^w^

Finally, since I seem to gravitate towards three main recommendations and then a few miscellaneous special mentions, I'm gonna put in Rainbow's “If I lose my virginity, I’m stuck as a girl” story, but I tried my best to make it actually good, which is a bit of a mouthful but it's a part of her sorta-series of kinda trashy tropes made a bit more palatable, and is again very sweet :3 Surprisingly minimal sexual content for the name, so don't be worried there.

Finally Finally, a couple of special mentions! How (Not) to Make a Love Potion by @zemathememequeen, please check it out, it's fun! Not explicitly trans but it's queer and none of the characters claim to be cis, so I believe~

and then also! @chirivulpes and @luminamystere have finally gotten fluff4.me online for wide(ish)spread use! It's still a beta and constantly getting more features and fixes so don't expect the world, but do check out the stories on there and maybe throw them some money if you can (although this goes for every author I post about tbh)

When Dottore was sent out to Tatarasuna, he only had one goal in mind - simply to cause a minor inconvenience for Inazuma. What he did not expect, however, was meeting you. Someone who he initially wouldn't give a second glance to, but soon found himself uncharacteristically seeking your company.

What drew him to you was how you seemed to be an outcast. Which was strange, because if even a puppet could be accepted, why was a human isolated from the rest of the group? It was a bit intriguing to the scholar. Perhaps because he had gone through the same thing. With enough veiled inquiring, he found out the circumstances were similar too - you had attended the Akademiya but left because you had found it inadequate, in your words. Oftentimes it seemed like Escher would "test" you on things. On morality, how far you'd go for an experiment, on many hypotheticals. You were never sure if you passed these tests from his unreadable expression, but he seemed more pleased at your lack of ethicalness than a good person should.

Well, now he found you much more interesting. You, on the other hand, would naturally be suspicious of the mechanic. He seemed so gentlemanly and charismatic on the outside, but you couldn't help but get a weird feeling. However, did you care? No. Somehow he was still attractive with the graying hair.

He wouldn't fall in love with you that quickly, no, he would define his interest in you as merely that - interest. Nothing more, nothing less. However, he is willing to pursue this interest, just to see how it goes. It could benefit him. He is in need of another assistant as always. Perhaps you could be the fit he's always desired. And so he would offer you a choice - join him in the Fatui, or perish along with the rest of the village. (The choice is obvious.) Or if by some odd chance, he did like you that much, you're just getting yanked back to Snezhnaya.

Dottore ended up getting two useful things out of Tatarasuna. A new test subject, and a new loyal assistant, who he would soon learn to love.

Thinking about this Reader helping him create the segments and gradually learning more about him through them...

I was just thinking about this, but in the Pokemon world, do you think there are zoo's?

This popped into my head because I was writing about foster care for Pokemon, but what would the point of Pokemon zoos be when you can own a dragon-type pet? Do you need a special licence for owning aggressive Pokemon? What are the laws around owning Pokemon in the Pokemon world? Are trainers exempt from an exotic pet-keeping licence? What are the exact recuperations if one of your Pokemon causes damages in both public and private settings? Is there insurance protecting against these possibilities?

Okay, but back to the first idea: zoos. Does the Pokemon world need them? Their whole point is to see animals you would never see in everyday life and to educate the public about them. That is why they are still allowed to operate today irl even though the origins of zoos started to gawk at foreign animals for the rich.

After all, if anyone can raise whatever Pokemon they want, as long as they take proper care of it, what is the point of a zoo? I suppose it could be used as a sanctuary for Pokemon that cannot return to their native regions. Since the modern Pokemon world is so Pokemon-friendly, I can see the governments of the areas only allowing these zoos to exist as long as they follow the rules to protect their denizens. You do not want a Gyarados to escape and make a lake close to civilisation its home.

I just think zoos wouldn't be as popular in the Pokemon world as they are in ours. With the Aether foundation from the Sun and Moon and Ultra games, there was an emphasis on rehabilitating Pokemon before it was revealed they were evil. I believe genuine work was done there since we have a character like Wicke who disagreed with Lusamine and took full responsibility for Aether Foundation's corruption. Still, with the experiments with Type: Null, it is hard to say how much of it was done to keep up good appearances. (honestly, the existence of Type: Null and its design is pretty horrifying if you delve deeper into it. I remember playing Moon and being hit by Fridge Horror while exploring the lower labs of the foundation. Say whatever you want about Pokemon, but their subtle sense of horror keeps me going).

However, there would be large support to help domesticated and wild Pokemon to find a home again. I can easily imagine a human making it their life's goal to rehabilitate Pokemon and help them find a new trainer. Since domesticated animals cannot return to the wild. Maybe Pokemon can since most are caught and have lived in the wild before. But there are plenty of animals in our world that cannot go back to the wild because of an injury or because they have gotten used to human contact. It is difficult, to say the least.

But what happens to released Pokemon that come from breeders? I am guilty of this as I used to shiny hunt the Musada Method (Gen 7 was the perfect gen to this with the Hot Springs. My favourite shiny Egg was an accidental use of this as I used to breed Dratini's to trade over the GTS, so I filled my Pokedex without needing a copy of Sun or a second 3DS). If you put even an ounce of realism into this mechanic, that means the breeding pool of that particular species is in danger if they are released in bulk. And that is not to mention if breeding a Pokemon with a Ditto has lasting side effects for that Pokemon's lineage. I imagine that if it is harmful in the Pokemon world, several laws would be laid out to prevent inbreeding in the wild and domestically. (Ugh, I got reminded of puppy mills)

To produce milk, meat, and other Pokemon (animal) products, there has to be a big industry for that too in the Pokemon world. It has to be done on such a large scale, too, since the Pokemon world doesn't consist of just the four regions of Kanto, Jhoto, Hoenn and Sinnoh anymore. They are more like countries now than the definition of a region.

Pokemon contests, especially, must be heavily regulated since they are essentially Pokemon-focused beauty pageants. I wonder if Pokemon contests are considered controversial, like irl beauty pageants. (BTW, I love Pokemon contests from DPP; I am not dissing them. This is just a thought exercise)

Idk, my brain kinda went on a tangent. All of these ideas would be fun to explore in my writing. If anyone wants to add to this, go ahead. I am curious what people think of this.

I get where people are coming from when they say Diaspro in Winx lost the plot for the sake of being turned into a minor villain and that's all once Valtor enabled her to do what she did in S3, but I feel like that was a reasonable narrative choice. It's only a love potion at that point (while I could go on all day about the ethics of love potions, of course, a later season has her straight up trying to do direct murder). She's a noble, guards will do her dirty work, and I understand that she would feel like getting revenge on Bloom while getting back together with Sky. She was promised a position — romantic AND political — she nearly had and then it was taken from under her by a random fairy who wasn't even "supposed" to be in the running. I don't think what she did was nice, but it makes sense for the story and for her character for her to want to reclaim her position in the way she did. Sky's love was an accessory, in part, to her political ascension, and thus he is again rendered accessory and accomplice by the love spell. And, sending guards after threats seems to be the thing to do in the magical universe if you're a disgruntled noble, so it's probably not unfamiliar for Diaspro to have seen occur before or want to do. It's not a uniquely rotten response any more than Radius' behaviour towards the monster (who, he didn't know it, was Stella). If we fault her for this action rather than only the intention behind it, we need to examine how the worlds in Winx Club deal with threats to their monarchs in general, which sounds interesting but I frankly don't have time for tonight. Diaspro did wrong, but she didn't do uniquely wrong there, and Eraklyon has the punitive security structures in place to have enabled that.

Diaspro's later appearances seem to flatten her motives and the symbolism behind why her relationship with Sky was important and what she does about it (who cares what Diaspro's political aims are and how her status might reflect how she deals with problems, the audience needs to see Bloom thrown into fire I guess), but I feel like seasons 4-8 weren't really that good anyway, so I can't even claim this as a fault of the writers doing Diaspro specifically wrong instead of them just doing the whole show wrong at that point. It might be related, and it might be a coincidence, but a lot of the writing choices seemed to become more flat to me right around when the art shifted to that lifeless godawful Flash simulacrum of S1-3's art.

Also like... idk but if some long-haired hottie wizard in a sick coat and contemplative eyeshadow told me he could help me get my promised chance at both romantic and political success back, I'd at least hear him out, yknow, see what he had to say (<- don't trust me I simp for Valtor)

everyone on earth probably has a hypothetical farming sim in their mind's eye that they daydream about on occasion because of the unfortunate situation that despite there being like a thousand farming games released every minute only like 4 of them are any good. and i think this is fun, i think its good to keep the imagination alive. if i made a farming sim i would bring back rival marriages from the old friends of mineral town. i want to steal someones wife.

i've been getting a lot of fomo of seeing all my friends and mutuals playing baldurs gate 3 and was tempted to buy it. then seeing you drawing fanart and seeing it on my dash made me look inside myself and acknowledge my true self and desires... so i bought pioneers of olive town. its in the mail, but im excited for it to arrive. :)

YEAH ITS SUPER CUTE IMO !!! I don't even have a console/PC capable of BG3 so I totally get the thought of 'oh im missing out' but I really enjoy the relaxing farming games... I'm super flattered to hear my love of these games influences people to try em out - that my love shows enough to make people curious. #MCtober2024 - Week 3 Amortentia Potion pt 1

Amortentia Potion To Sebastian, Iñaki smells like the following:

1: Freshly Brewed Coffee/ Hot Chocolate

Iñaki is known to drink some coffee -or as she likes to say it- café con leche in the morning. Not so much because of her American culture and using it to wake her up like her British peers like to assume, but more so because of her Latino upbringing. Her Latino-ness shows more when she is drinking coffee at night with a small roll of bread and cheese to eat. No one knows how she can sleep at night after drinking coffee in the evening. Sebastian is rather shock to hear she's been drinking coffee since she was a toddler. If Iñaki isn't drinking café con leche, she is mostly likely enjoying a cold Scottish morning or evening with chocolate caliente - not the American style of coco powder and hot milk, but from a chocolate tablet she brought from her parents' homeland and hot water.

When she is drink either café con leche or chocolate caliente it's one of the few times Sebastian catches Iñaki being still, content and happy at Hogwarts. The hot beverages' scents is something that makes Sebastian think of her. 2. Mellowsweet

If no one has what is the canon smell of mellowsweet, I would like to imagine it smells like a sweet citrus mint with a dash of chamomile...like a chamomile mojito. Iñaki is always up doing Merlin trials and sometimes drags Sebastian with her, so she always carries mellowsweet around with her. It's one of the smells Sebastian always associates Iñaki with since she always has it on her. Iñaki sometimes likes to chew on it for the minty citrus taste it leaves in her mouth so after the two do have their first kiss at some point in the future, all Sebastian could taste is mellowsweet.

3. The Beach/Sea Air

Iñaki misses home, especially the beaches she went to on Long Island. Often Sebastian would find her hanging out in the beach portion of the vivarium in the Room of Requirements and would sit next to her, just listening to the waves. Or she would ask Sebastian if he wanted to go to the coastal beach in Scotland, despite how cold it can get. The beach always makes her feel like at home and it's where she would spill whatever is bothering her or her life secrets to him without any pushing. There's just something about the beach that relaxes her. It's also where she is the most happiest whenever she feels down. Sometimes the two would just sit in the vivarium beach, listening to the waves splash, the seagulls flying and wheeling as they watch the sunset (this is one memory both would later use for their patronus - moreso Sebastian than Iñaki). The one constant all beaches have is the salty tangy air that reminds Sebastian of Iñaki
