You stared at your phone for a moment, the unanswered calls piling up in your call log. Chan wasn’t just skipping school—is he avoiding you? That would made everything feel far more complicated. You couldn’t help but wonder what kind of game he was playing this time.

You made your way back to your apartment, your mind still racing with the events of the day. The walk had done little to clear your head. The sky had darkened by the time you reached the familiar building, and the usual hum of city life seemed distant, almost muffled, as if the world around you was out of focus. The weight of everything, your new role, the chaos in your classroom, and the unresolved tension settled in your chest.

As you approached your apartment door, you realized something was off. The hallway light flickered overhead, casting strange shadows along the walls, but that wasn’t what caught your attention. It was the door itself. The door to your apartment, which you were sure you had locked this morning, was ajar. Just slightly, but enough to make your stomach twist with unease.

You froze for a moment, unsure of what to do. Your instincts told you to back away, to go back downstairs and find someone, anyone, but you remained rooted in place. You had been living here for months without issue, and yet now, in the quiet of the night, the very thought that someone could have been inside your space felt foreign and terrifying.

You stepped forward cautiously, your heart pounding in your chest. Every step felt heavier than the last, and you felt a shiver creep down your spine. The door creaked softly as you pushed it open a little further, and you glanced inside. The apartment was dark, but nothing seemed out of place. The silence was unsettling, too perfect, like it was waiting for you to make the next move.

Your breath caught in your throat as you stood just inside the doorway, your hand still on the handle. Every part of you screamed to leave, to turn and run back down the stairs, but you couldn’t. You had to know. Had you forgotten to lock the door? Was this a mistake? Or was someone else in there?

The moment you stepped into your apartment, something felt off.

A slow, uneasy breath left your lips as you carefully pushed the door open, stepping inside with cautious, measured steps. The dim lighting from the street outside spilled through the window, casting long shadows against the walls.

Then—

“Oh, you’re back already?”

That familiar voice sent a sharp jolt through your body, but not from fear. From pure, unfiltered frustration.

Your head snapped toward the couch, where he sat so casually, one arm resting over the backrest, his legs sprawled out like he owned the place. A slow, knowing smirk tugged at his lips as his dark eyes drank in your stunned expression.

Lee Chan.

You exhaled sharply, tension flooding your body as you stormed toward him. Without hesitation, you smacked his broad shoulder—hard.

“You—!” Your voice wavered, caught between anger and relief. “Why are you not answering my calls?”

Chan barely flinched, only tilting his head slightly as he watched you with that irritatingly amused expression. Then, in one swift motion, he stood, his arms wrapping around you before you could escape.

“Now, why is my pretty teacher crying?” His voice was soft, teasing, but there was something in the way he pulled you against his chest, how his hands instinctively found your waist, that made your stomach flip.

You clenched your jaw, your hands gripping his hoodie. “Do you have any idea how worried I was about you?”

Chan let out a short exhale, like your concern was misplaced.

“Worried about me?”

“Yes, worried about you, you idiot!” You pushed at his chest just enough to glare up at him. “You didn’t show up for detention. You haven’t been at school. You disappeared, Chan. I kept calling, but you never picked up. What was I supposed to think?”

His gaze flickered across your face, unreadable. Then, his lips curled into something almost smug.

“Do every teacher worry about their students like this?”

Your stomach twisted at his words, heat creeping up your neck.

You smacked his chest. “You know what I mean.”

He groaned dramatically, tilting his head back. “Ugh, I hate this.”

“Hate what?” You narrowed your eyes, suddenly remembering exactly why you were so furious with him in the first place.

“Sitting in that classroom, watching you teach, pretending you’re just another professor, when I know I could grab you anytime and kiss you so hard you forget your own name.”

His voice was low, raw with frustration, and the way he looked at you made your breath catch in your throat.

Your lips parted, but before you could say anything, he scoffed under his breath.

“This is exactly why I told you not to accept Wonwoo’s offer.”

Your brows furrowed, irritation flaring inside you. “We’re not doing this again.”

Chan’s grip on you tightened slightly, his jaw clenching. “Yes, we are. You knew what would happen if you started working there. You knew there was a chance you’d be assigned to my class, and you still took the job.”

Your hands curled into fists against his hoodie. “What was I supposed to do, Chan? Turn down a stable job just because you don’t like it?”

“Yes.” His answer came without hesitation, sharp and unyielding.

You inhaled deeply, trying to steady yourself. “You’re being unreasonable.”

“No, I’m being realistic.” His voice dropped, something darker lacing his words. “Do you know how much I hate seeing you there? How much it pisses me off when I have to sit through a lesson and pretend I don’t want to pull you out of that classroom and keep you all to myself?”

You swallowed hard, your heartbeat pounding against your ribs.

“I told you it would be difficult,” he continued, his fingers pressing lightly into your waist. “I told you I wouldn’t handle it well, and now look. I can’t even focus in that damn classroom, because all I can think about is how wrong it feels for you to be standing there, acting like I’m just another student.”

You wanted to argue, to tell him he was being selfish, but deep down, you knew—he wasn’t lying.

It had been hard.

Harder than you expected.

Keeping your relationship hidden, pretending there was nothing between you when the weight of his gaze alone was enough to unravel you. And when he stopped showing up to class, when he ignored your calls—it hurt more than you wanted to admit.

Your shoulders sagged slightly. “I don’t know what you want me to do, Chan.”

He studied you for a long moment before sighing. “I don’t want you to do anything. I just…” His fingers brushed against your cheek, his voice softer now. “I hate this. I hate not being able to have you the way I want.”

Something inside you cracked at his words.

You reached up, your fingers threading through his hair as you exhaled shakily. “I hate it too.”

Chan smirked, but there was no teasing behind it this time—only something knowing, something bittersweet.

His arms tightened around you, his forehead pressing against yours.

“Then let’s stop pretending,” he murmured.

It was as if the air between you shifted—thick with tension, unspoken words, and the heat that had been simmering beneath the surface for far too long.

Chan’s fingers brushed over your shoulders as he slid your coat off, letting it fall to the side without a second thought. His touch lingered, slow and deliberate, as he guided you toward the kitchen table.

Your heart pounded against your ribs.

“Chan…” you started, voice barely above a whisper.

But he was already behind you, his presence overwhelming, his hands warm as they rested on your waist. He leaned in, his breath ghosting over the shell of your ear.

“Now,” his voice was low, filled with something dangerous, something utterly possessive.

“Bend for me, my love.”

You, surprisingly and somehow married your angel, history professor, Castiel. He was sweet yet very strict and firm when it came to your school work. And you were a good student and husband to him. Helping him understand humans more.

As of now, It is the day before the final exams for the semester. He is often strict around these times, helping you study and catch up on any possible lessons you may have missed beforehand.

The both of you are currently in your shared home, you were studying your butt off while Castiel was grading projects. You sighed, putting down your pen to rest your hand from writing and studying the key points of the lessons in math.

You looked up as you took a sip of the coffee he had made for you. He was so ethereal with his brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing those glasses you found so pretty on him too! Gosh, he really was distracting you from studying. Although, he was also your motivation to continue on.

Castiel, sensing somebody looking at him, looked up from the project he had just graded.

His gaze softens for a bit as he sees your tired expression. Eyes bags forming under your eyes from the sleepless nights you were studying your ass off.

"What's the matter, my beloved?" Castiel asked as he gently put down the things he was holding and came to sit next to you.

"It's nothing, Cas.. I'm just a bit tired. And sleepy." You yawned as you tried to take another sip of your coffee but was met with Castiel taking the mug from you. "Then please go sleep, my love. I know you want to pass your exams but it's also important for you to rest." He answered back with a concerned tone in his voice.

You groaned as you finally felt the sleeplessness taking a toll on you. Your head was aching really bad and your eyes felt like closing. You just wanted to lay down.

"...Okay, Wake me up tomorrow morning, Kay? Love you.", "I will, love you too." And with that, you let yourself fall asleep on the desk. He chuckled lightly, seeing your peaceful expression as you slept, small snores coming out of your lips.

He gently picked you up and carried you to your shared bedroom. He tucked you under the bed and kissed your lips before saying, "Good night, my beloved."

The exams passed like a whistling wind and the scores were just announced. You passed your exams and got history as your highest. But your math... Was failed. You only got 30% of it.

Tears slightly welled up in your eyes as you felt frustrated by how "stupid" you were for failing at math. Math was the class you had always tried your hardest and bestest to study but somehow always fail. You thought you were finally passing it this sem.

You returned in the solace of your shared home with your lovely husband. Castiel, knowing how down you were immediately did his best to cheer you up.

Giving you massages, cooking your favorite food and saying such sweet comforting words to you. Buu they were all futile. So he went for his last plan to cheer you up.

He then went up to you and gently embraced you as he kissed your neck.

"Shall we?" He asked, waiting for your permission before continuing any further.

Seeing his attempts to cheer you up made you smile. And he never forget to ask for your consent before doing anything. "Of course."

He immediately closed the lights and carried you to bed. After a while, both of you laid on your bed, breathing heavily.

"You did great, my husband." He kissed your lips then your forehead as he cradled your smaller form in his arms. His hands gently run across your top surgery scars.

"You'll pass it eventually, it may not be right now but I'm sure you'll pass your next math exams. I believe in you, okay?" He kissed your head as he kept you close. "Thank you.." was all you could muster up before tears welled up in your eyes. He was incredibly careful and patient with you.. and you sometimes think he deserves much better than you and yet he never fails to reassure you that you are perfectly flawed.

"Let's get you cleaned up." Castiel spoke, carrying you to the bathroom.

Axa is utterly outraged. somehow the idea that the gods were an inevitable, unavoidable fact of nature that kith just had to put up with was at least somewhat tolerable to her, especially after kith found out they can through great effort apparently turn the tables and kill these gods. but the fact that the gods are in fact ultimately nothing but a bunch of overly ambitious, paternalistic charlatans who conspired against the rest of the world in order to rule it together is absolutely, fundamentally unacceptable to her. the sheer humiliation and indignity at having been fooled and pushed around by a bunch of dead Engwithans along with all of kithkind for thousands of years is almost worse to Axa than all the misery and destruction the gods have wrought against mortals all this time.

Vaargys is overjoyed to have this secret truth of the universe revealed to him. a god is a god, no matter how it was created. and the gods aren't just a bunch of kith souls mushed together– they're not kith at all anymore. they've ascended into something new, something spectacular. they're pure ideologies made manifest, free of the prison of mortal flesh, the pinnacle of kith achievement. apotheosis is just a natural part of evolution, one step closer to a perfect state of existence. doesn't necessarily mean he likes most of the gods, nor does he really agree with any of their tenets save Wael, but he figures the gods' current state as separate entities is only temporary anyway. hey can he maybe get in on that

18. what does your watcher think about woedica trying to communicate with them during poe2?

Axa doesn't like or trust any of the gods, least of all Woedica, but all the same she can't help but argue with the old bitch. when it comes to Woedica, Axa's basically that self-righteous idiot you keep advising not to talk to the cops, but her dumb ass just keeps saying shit like "yeah but i don't have anything to hide!!!!! my heart and intentions are so pure and good!!!! my armor-piercing proclamations of benevolence are sure to cut a path of truth through her evil bullshit this time!! no i don't need an attorney!!!!" maybe someday she'll learn not to listen to bad faith actors, but until then i guess she just can't help but want to hear out even the worst of them.

Vaargys likes fucking with the Queen That Probably Never Actually Was and wasting her time as much as he can. as a Waelite, of course he does. unfortunately, she is a goddess so she kinda knows what he's up to and doesn't put up with it for long. oh well, not gonna ruin his day!

between Pillars 1 and Deadfire, Axa joined up with the Kind Wayfarers and threw herself into her new vocation, traveling to the Vailian Republics and training there for three years. this decision was not at all influenced by her many new and scary responsibilities at home (including the infant she kidnapped while struggling with her rapidly deteriorating mental stability), nor by her finding herself all alone again when all of her dearest friends (including the man she may have been falling in love with) suddenly left her. no, she joined the Wayfarers because she knew she had a lot of power and influence and she wanted to wield it responsibly, to use it to help people, keep them safe, and that's all. she was, due to her fantastic experiences and unique abilities, a very quick study and ended up passing her "final exam" with the Kind Wayfarers (guarding a convoy of asylum seekers through Dyrwood and into the Republics with a seasoned, jaded Bleak Walker as the only other guard) just three years after beginning training. then she returned home and spent most of her time patrolling her roads, even offering free room and board for travelers on the grounds of Caed Nua. this made her feel pretty bad when Eothas rose and killed all those people who wouldn't have been there otherwise if she hadn't offered them a place to stay for a while.

Vaargys did what he usually does when left to his own devices: he wandered wherever his soul lead him, abusing drugs and praying, offering what wisdom Wael saw fit to reveal to him as advice to the troubled. he came home to Caed Nua every now and again, never staying longer than two weeks at a time. he'd spend most of his time at home doting obnoxiously on his adopted orlan daughter, adding to his collection of trinkets and baubles, and opening and closing all the drawers and cabinets in the keep over and over again in an attempt to see That Which Should Not Be Seen. drove the Steward crazy. he also sojourned to Defiance Bay on occasion, and every time he did House Doemenel always seemed to be celebrate his presence, throwing a lot of money around on yet another lavish dinner party. (perhaps because every time Vaargys came to Defiance Bay, another enemy of House Doemenel suffered another mysterious burglary or a suspicious setback in their operations. or sometimes they just turned up dead.) he was so seldom at home that it became a sort of mini pilgrimage for priests of Wael passing through Dyrwood to visit Caed Nua, to see if Wael would grant them a glimpse of Their favored servant, the Seer Who Watches.

homecoming <3

hello people, i am officially back with a sparkle in my eye and promises to be consistent :D

i just finished my my first year final exams (woohoo) and i feel so happy that i'm already 1/3 done with college. 😭😭 anyway, here is what you must know:

(i) i passed ca foundation in my first attempt (jan 25)

(ii) i did not give the september attempt last year because i gave up on studying in june itself so i was really NOT prepared to give the exams in september. i did a lot of soul searching whether i genuinely wanted to pursue ca beacuse wdym i gave up after a week of studying, but i think i was just not feeling it then, with starting college and adjusting, and just locking in on a path in life. (pathetic, i am aware😭😭)

(iii) so after the september attempt passed me by, and lots of lectures from my very angry parents, i decided that i will give january attempt a try, and if i pass, i'll feel motivated to continue, and if i don't, i'll reaccess.

(iv) after barely studying much, and having my sem one exams side-by-side the foundation exams, (and having a veryyyyyyy stressful month) i just really locked in in the last 15 days and gave it my all.

(v) when the results came in march, i genuinely had no hopes of passing and when i saw that i passed i was so shocked?? like how?? this was insane?? but apparently my hardwork bore it's fruit after a few ups and downs. that's the story.

(vi) now, i know i should have started studying in march itself for my intermediate january 2026 attempt, but- i had sooooo many college exams, assignments and classes that idk how time went by and now it's june?? 😭😭 please i don't know what is happening to me, i swear i was not like this before. but, the past year has changed me alot and now I AM SO READY TO GET STARTED. better late than never hahahahahahahahahahahahahah (please support this affirmation amen)

starting today/tomorrow, i'll begin with a 75 day hard challenge (i need to lock in academically and in every other aspect of my life too, it's all a wreck heheh) or a 100 days of productivity challenge to feel an ounce of motivation and hope. i will catch up with the lost time this summer. so, wish me luck, and see you in the next one!

Now I ""just"" need to make the hair (I guess they're going to be pretty difficult).

Under the cut some life updates.

So, a year ago I told you I was going to finally live on my own thanks to my uncle's empty flat. Well, that's not the case anymore apparently, we've talked to a surveyor and basically, despite the flat being abandoned since the beginning (40 years ago), with missing services, floors and broken windows, it's still going to cost a lot of money just to buy it from my uncle (around 140k euros) since my parents doesn't want me to rent it due to it's incomplete status.

About University, I officially renounced and I still don't know if I can save all the exams I passed till now in my career due to the burocratic "block".

I still can't find a job despite all my attempts, they keep refusing my applications even on basic jobs cause I don't have an university degree (that's how my country works apparently) and it's a lot disheartening.

My plan now is to keep making sims content for a year so I'll be able to afford two of three years of a videogaming 3D graphic course in a very good school in my city, the one that one of my brother's collegues went to and now has this stable job and is highly qualified. This school costs a bit more than my long time "dream" school but gives you way better knowledge and you're more likely to be assumed at the end of the third year. The taxes are about 5k a year and I'm extremely motivated to follow this path.

I hope this is the time I can finally change my life the way I wanted, even if not everything is going as planned.

the moral support you give your community with this help boxes / asks is truly astounding, i admire you so much for it and i think it's incredible how you managed to create this safe space, not only for you but for other people as well <3

having said that, i too come looking for advice 🙈

explaining the whole story would take waaaay too long, so the tl;dr version is this: i'm not a very social person to begin with, i've always struggled with keeping relationships and forming deep meaningful bonds, but for the past few years the closest thing i had to a "best-friendship" was with this one group of female friends from university. we used to live all together in a student residency, but back in november i had to move out, and ever since then i've had the feeling that our relationship completely deteriorated. we still all live in the same (small) town, we're all doing the same program so we have all classes together but we still never really see each other outside of academic settings (eg lectures or exams). i know they see each other all the time because they're still living all together and i've been feeling very left out.

about a month ago i finally snapped, so i tried addressing this issues i was having with one of them, and she was incredibly understanding. we had a long conversation about how we both felt about the situation and by the end we had agreed to both try our best to be more involved in each other's life.

except a month has passed and....nothing really changed. i still hear very little from any of them and we still only ever see each other if we're doing exams together (which happens, like, once every couple of weeks, and the whole time we're either stressed or concentrated, so there's not really time for catching up). we're currently going through my university's exam period so i really understand how we're all busy with school, but still...i wish they made an attempt at involving me more.

so now i'm wondering if i should try and address these problems i've had / i'm having with all of them instead of just the one friend. we'll all go back to our homes in a few weeks (we live all scattered around my country), and next year we'll all be on different year abroad programs so the next time we'll be together all in the same town will probably be in about a year (not counting the one week vacation we're going on this summer, but it won't be just us girls then).

what do you think? would it be counterproductive to rise the problem now? i'm afraid of how they'll react with me addressing it so ""late"" and that it could potentially ruin the little relationship we currently have.

So first off, I have to ask..you seem to say a lot about how they aren't including you...but have you asked them to make plans? Reached out to them? I think with friendships, it's a two-way street, you know? You can't place the blame solely on them if you haven't really reached out either.

That being said, yes I think you should say something. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to mend fences. Try to be honest, but not accusatory, and tell them how you're feeling. I think it's best to try to fix it before you all go study abroad. As far as you waiting this long to address it, if they care, they'll be happy you said anything at all! And it they're mad you brought it up- take it as a sign that those friendships aren't worth keeping. Either way, it's worth it to know and fix what you need to fix.
