Cracking the Code: Understanding Hunter Rank Progression in Monster Hunter Wilds
By an Anonymous Monster Hunter Enthusiast Introduction While enjoying my time in Monster Hunter Wilds, I became curious about how the game calculates Hunter Rank (HR) progression. It’s no secret that progressing through the ranks can feel unpredictable, and I wanted to better understand the underlying system. Using a combination of observation, data tracking, and analysis, I was able to…

Green energy is in its heyday.
Renewable energy sources now account for 22% of the nation’s electricity, and solar has skyrocketed eight times over in the last decade. This spring in California, wind, water, and solar power energy sources exceeded expectations, accounting for an average of 61.5 percent of the state's electricity demand across 52 days.
But green energy has a lithium problem. Lithium batteries control more than 90% of the global grid battery storage market.
That’s not just cell phones, laptops, electric toothbrushes, and tools. Scooters, e-bikes, hybrids, and electric vehicles all rely on rechargeable lithium batteries to get going.
Fortunately, this past week, Natron Energy launched its first-ever commercial-scale production of sodium-ion batteries in the U.S.
“Sodium-ion batteries offer a unique alternative to lithium-ion, with higher power, faster recharge, longer lifecycle and a completely safe and stable chemistry,” said Colin Wessells — Natron Founder and Co-CEO — at the kick-off event in Michigan.
The new sodium-ion batteries charge and discharge at rates 10 times faster than lithium-ion, with an estimated lifespan of 50,000 cycles.
Wessells said that using sodium as a primary mineral alternative eliminates industry-wide issues of worker negligence, geopolitical disruption, and the “questionable environmental impacts” inextricably linked to lithium mining.
“The electrification of our economy is dependent on the development and production of new, innovative energy storage solutions,” Wessells said.
Why are sodium batteries a better alternative to lithium?
The birth and death cycle of lithium is shadowed in environmental destruction. The process of extracting lithium pollutes the water, air, and soil, and when it’s eventually discarded, the flammable batteries are prone to bursting into flames and burning out in landfills.
There’s also a human cost. Lithium-ion materials like cobalt and nickel are not only harder to source and procure, but their supply chains are also overwhelmingly attributed to hazardous working conditions and child labor law violations.
Sodium, on the other hand, is estimated to be 1,000 times more abundant in the earth’s crust than lithium.
“Unlike lithium, sodium can be produced from an abundant material: salt,” engineer Casey Crownhart wrote in the MIT Technology Review. “Because the raw ingredients are cheap and widely available, there’s potential for sodium-ion batteries to be significantly less expensive than their lithium-ion counterparts if more companies start making more of them.”
What will these batteries be used for?
Right now, Natron has its focus set on AI models and data storage centers, which consume hefty amounts of energy. In 2023, the MIT Technology Review reported that one AI model can emit more than 626,00 pounds of carbon dioxide equivalent.
“We expect our battery solutions will be used to power the explosive growth in data centers used for Artificial Intelligence,” said Wendell Brooks, co-CEO of Natron.
“With the start of commercial-scale production here in Michigan, we are well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for efficient, safe, and reliable battery energy storage.”
The fast-charging energy alternative also has limitless potential on a consumer level, and Natron is eying telecommunications and EV fast-charging once it begins servicing AI data storage centers in June.
On a larger scale, sodium-ion batteries could radically change the manufacturing and production sectors — from housing energy to lower electricity costs in warehouses, to charging backup stations and powering electric vehicles, trucks, forklifts, and so on.
“I founded Natron because we saw climate change as the defining problem of our time,” Wessells said. “We believe batteries have a role to play.”

Well, I did it
Megatron - I love his tfp design. Probably one of the best iteration of Megs. He is huge, heavy armoured, his face covered with scars… He doesn’t looks like an ordinary military leader who is only capable of giving orders, but like real warrior who can destroy any enemy with his bare hands.
So, in the WOF version, he definitely shares some features with Princess Burn, not only because of his might, but also because of his horns shape and dirty-dark scales (that absorbed blood of his enemies)

Starscream - Boy, I hate him so much 🤣… but in the good way, trust me! In my opinion, when the show's creators make you feel such strong negative emotions towards a villain, it means they've done a great job. Also, I think that his animation in the show was absolutely incredible, because even though he's a 3D model, he still manages to move like a 2D character, which is amazing!
I feel that in my design he still looks more like a skywing, than an icewing (which is kinda logical)

Soundwave - This one was tricky. I couldn't figure out what his mask would look like, so I just made his face a really dark color. I think Soundwave has both gifts of the nightwings, and he’s equally great at telepathy and a future vision. So he doesn't really need equipment to predict enemy movements, which makes him an ideal communicator in the WOF setting. His Laserbeak is part of the armor enchanted by Shockwave, and it might also allow him to open portals (but I'm not sure with this one)

Shockwave - My favourite evil genius. He would definitely have animus magic and mind reading. I think Shockwave is the only one who has advanced the study of magic so far, precisely because he combined it with scientific knowledge and created safer methods of using it, that don't damage the mind. It's like if a Mastermind got animus magic in books.
I also like to think that he didn't heal the damaged part of his face just so that his enemies would fear him more)

Dreadwing - This man deserved better! It's really a shame that he was removed from the show so quickly due to financial problems. It would be great if his arc got a proper conclusion in season 3.
Considering that I didn't want to make him a hybrid, it was difficult to choose a suitable color palette. So let’s just say, that I tried my best😅
I don’t think that he would have any nightwing powers, but honestly it doesn’t even matter - this guy can make a bombs, what else does he need to be cool

Arachnid - Did anyone even doubt that she would be a hivewing? Damn, she even got her own “Othermind” virus. Her design was the easiest to work with - just a little poisonous ass (suspiciously similar to Maleficent).
Just like Starscream, I hate her, but in a good way. She's one of the creepiest characters in the entire series, who’s acting like a fucking heartless monster, especially with Arcee, but even so, there's always was something mesmerizing about her. I just really like strong female villains

Knockout - Wery bright and charismatic guy, definitely one of my fav cons!
I tried to draw him as handsome as possible. Worked a lot on the face shape and coloring, and as for me it turned out pretty nice (finally).
Most decepticons think Knockout is as stupid and lazy as all the other rainwings. And it's not like he completely disagrees with that. Of course he’s not stupid and lazy, but if it’s means less dirty work on the battlefield, well, he’ll continue act like a tipical rainwing
(I also believe that Megatron keeps him as an “art”)

Breakdown - Fun fact: "Operation Breakdown" was the very first thing I saw in this series. And it was an interesting experience for 8 year old me. Maybe that's why I'm so scared of eye gouging scenes in movies now…
I think that he didn't have any siblings initially due to his parents nature, and even after meeting Bulkhead, he felt uncomfortable among the other mudwings. And this is why he later chose the side of the decepticons. And maaaaybe because of one cute rainwing influence)

P.s.
I think that, being mostly nightwings and icewings, the decepticons are much more concerned about purity of their blood and rarely accept half-breeds into their ranks.
During the war, there were many animus dragons among decepticons, which is why they have so many artifacts that allowed teleportation and communication at a distance. But, honestly, I still can't imagine what Nemesis would look like in this AU

NWR No.1 and SLYM No.11513 at a dual gauge interchange just outside of the city center.
SLYM No.11513 is an Advanced Steam Locomotive native to Gymnome--a coal-burning steam engine operating at high pressure, with technological improvements to allow it to rival the efficiency and ease of use of a diesel locomotive, such as electronic controls, compound expansion of steam, a gas producer combustion system firebox, dual exhaust, and automatic firing and oiling. 11513 was built some time in the 2340s, and survives to 2381 as a museum piece.
NWR No.1 is a much older locomotive and from another planet altogether, built 1915 for the LBSC railway as a one-off prototype for a six-coupled shunter to replace the aging Terriers and to supplement the much larger E2-tanks. NWR No.1 made it to the North Western Railway not long after it was built, having been allocated there for the war effort. It is not clear how a locomotive built 465 years in the past on planet Earth made it intact to Gymnome, nor how its gauge perfectly matched Goo'iw Broad Gauge, at least not without invoking some kind of universe-spanning magic railroad, or perhaps the notion that this is all a simulation being run in some kind of virtual reality in some alien starship.
(no this isn't canon.)
Artist's notes:
Earlier today I doodled this in my sketchbook.

And when I got home i decided, hey, I have my Thomas 3D model, and I have the game model of the Advanced Steam Tank Engine... why not actually stage them together and draw them to-scale. The size difference is greater than I expected--partly I think this is because the Thomas gauge-1 prop was not designed with scale in mind, so it's bigger than British Railways loading gauge. Granted, they are at different gauges (standard gauge versus roughly meter-ish gauge), but the loading gauge on the advanced steam engine is very wide.
My first attempt at the drawing was from a very different angle:
But I quickly realized that you can't actually see the Advanced Steam Engine's wheels, and that's a major design aspect.
So i chose a different angle.
I constructed the dual gauge track before anything else.
And before long (the better part of 2 hours) I had the line art finished.
The Advanced Steam Engine ended up being a hybrid between the original illustration I did of it months ago, and the game model--with most of the geometry accurate to the game model, but with the subtler detailing of the illustrated version.
Thomas was meant to be a sort of hybrid of the Gauge 1 Prop from the TV series and a realistic loco. I prioritized the geometry and simplicity of the gauge 1 prop in most respects, but added details below the running board, in particular brake rigging, sanding gear, and these blade-like protrusions of the frames which i'm pretty sure are some kind of debris deflector, a british version of a cowcatcher. There's also snifters on the cylinder saddle, and the whistle is made of two different lengths to justify Thomas' multi-tone whistle.
The original background was going to be this marshland with (electricity-generating) windmills in the background, a callback to that first shot in the Thomas & Friends opening credits, but I hated how it felt like the middle of nowhere, so I introduced the retaining wall and an alien city scene.
British steam engines are generally given very shiny liveries which reflect the environment in interesting ways, so I made sure to do that justice, using a GWR 14xx autotank as reference.
By contrast, the Advanced Steam Tank Engine is kept in a more workwormlike condition, with a somewhat faded matte paint work and a fair amount of grime.

The original illustration of the advanced steam engine, for comparison.
Finally, a version with faces.

Harumu question 👀 I wanna tug him on the tail! What's his tail's texture?
But also, can he sleep with darling in female form, and then change to male form to sleep with darling again?

Harumu’s tail is smooth like marble and is very flexible. They can manipulate how thick and skinny it can get as well as the length. But overall his tail is his pride and joy as he spends time fussing over polishing its natural sheen. So he doesn’t like anyone getting the idea to touch it. He would literally threaten anyone who tries to do so.
But for you he supposed that a tiny exception can be made. just don’t get used to it since his tail is also a weak point for him especially the diamond scales. Touch them on purpose without permission and He’d have to punish you for getting ahead of yourself. (Via tail fucking)
Yes, Harumu can switch to his female counterparts and male counterparts at will. Though the amount of times they do shapeshift is usually for the his family’s beauty company. That’s known internationally for promoting beauty products for different species (monsters to supernaturals to hybrids ect).
Besides that Harumu being the prideful diva that he is. Believes his natural form to be the most perfect one of all. So only if he feels like it will he switch forms. Though, whenever he gets moody, the model tends to shed his skin like a lizard. So literally and figuratively you’d be seeing different sides of him.

"The Snake-Oil Deacon"
Aka, Sawyer G. Wolff
Age: 32 [Born 1870... ish, January 14th] Profession: Crooked Cross (however he's more of a Con Artist. Who has a side hustle as a master thief... and preforms at Mahogany Hall under the alias "Sophia, The Salacious Music Hall Singer". He's a multifaceted man) Closest To: Urchins Other Factions: Tomb-Colonists and Devils Spouse: Celebrated Artist's Model Ambition: Light Fingers [Status: Completed!]
Arriving to the Neath with his brother, Sawyer quickly adapted to the Neath and found himself quite at home. A con-artist by trade, he's not a true clergyman (though he claims he was ordained.) He gets into any spot of unsavoriness with a cocky grin and the infuriating ability to get out mostly scot-free and an inflated ego.
[Fun facts below, but be careful of Light Fingers! Spoilers]
-Once he had appeased the Boil of Calamities and peeled himself like an orange, the new 'skin' (scales) were not the only thing revealing his new allegiance. He has a snake-like tongue now, and if he is not careful he can accidentally make a hissing sound. -Extra fun fact related to this, and this is based on actual sounds King Cobras make, but he can growl when really pissed off.
-He did spare and marry Poor Edward near the end, but that was more so from him having just been freshly shorn, as mentioned before, so he was, in full honesty, just too tired to put up a fight at the time. If he had rested for a day or so, he 100% would've killed Edward on the spot.
-Sawyer works at Mahogany Hall under basically a drag-name, Sophia. This was actually his dead-name he decided to repurpose.
-He has a tattoo of the Hybrid he got not long after setting it free to the Roof (I finished the ambition JUST as Feast of the Rose was right around the corner, so it was perfect timing) ((It's along his calf to hide it even while preforming))
-After Light Fingers, he went and opened an Orphanage via the Town House (He ignores Edward's ""Advice"" about running the place very aggressively)
-To acknowledge the statement in the reference sheet, "Bisexual (90% Women)", he has very particular tastes and it tends to be "Women of any variety" and Guys who are a Bit Dandy. (it's unfortunate Edward was the way he was, otherwise Sawyer would've found him cute. Alas, he was wacko.)
-Sawyer was possessed by Jack of Smiles and was one of the BEST JoS London had seen. Nobody knows it was him, and he prefers to keep it that way. (He might get nervous picking up any knives since then. And he may or may not have a bit of a (musical ver) of a Jekyll and Hyde situation going on)
-Honestly I listen to the Jekyll and Hyde musical to get ideas drawing/writing him. The entire soundtrack, he's Everyone.
-Speaking of his dogs are nAMED after Jekyll and Hyde so he's also a literature nerd. You know what his favorite novel is.

Unknown's Neck Holes
This is something I’ve been chewing on for a while. Those three holes on the Unknown’s neck?
At first, I assumed they were gunshot wounds or some kind of trauma, maybe from a rake, a pipe, even an icepick. But then I started really looking at them, also comparing them to wounds of that nature that might have made them. Rotating his model, comparing the marks across different skins... and honestly? I don’t think they’re wounds at all.
The more I looked, the more I thought, what if they’re biological? Like a part of him. And then it hit me: what if they’re ears? I’m feeling more like reptile ears, the kind that are just exposed pits, no flaps, just these openings that pick up sound and pressure. It tracks, especially if you consider that lizards have those circular tympanic membranes, and the Unknown could be using those holes to sense its environment. Not just sound, either, maybe vibration, breath, intention.
It becomes even more interesting when I realize that many things I initially attributed to amphibian traits also appear in reptiles. LIKE THE FACT REPTILES SHED? What if Unknown has some kind of molting process, leaving behind shucked skin like a husk?
That said... he doesn’t have scales. That throws a wrench in the pure reptile angle, but to me, that just supports the idea that he’s not strictly anything. He doesn’t have to be one category. He could be a biological hybrid, part mammal, part reptile, perhaps with some amphibian DNA mixed in as well. I HATE HIM SO MUCH (he is the love of my life)

The rest of the TWST housewardens as WoF dragons.
Master Post
Why I picked the tribes I did and a little bit of rambles under the cut ✨✨✨
Vil: I made Vil a silk/rainwing hybrid. It wasn’t for any personality reasons, but because the two tribes are considered the two prettiest tribes in the books. So I felt that it made sense for him.
Idia: made him a silkwing. Specifically a flame silk. I figured it fit better than making him a fire scales skywing. Mostly because of the color pallet, but also because Flame silk is like a more controllable fire scales. And I know flame silks aren’t on fire, but I figure I could set the spines going down his back on fire to mimic his hair. And floofy tuffs.
Malleus: Nightwing!! It made the most sense from a color stand point, as well as the air of mystery he gives off! (To at least everyone besides Yuu/the player) and yes. I gave him the mindreading tear drop scales. Figured that alone might make him slightly more intimidating. Not sure, but I also just like how they look X3 (I could so see him either choosing not to read other peoples minds because 1- it’s rude or 2- want to be “less intimidating”)
and like the last time I did this, I pulled the colors off their character models (besides the grey on Idia)
also!!! Very tempted to make an AU out of this. So this could maybe possibly happen. We will see!

The Temptations of St. Anthony (after Martin Schongauer)
Oil on wood, 82.6 x 58.5 cm (32½ x 23 in)
This painted panel is based on an engraving by Martin Schongauer of the Temptations of St. Anthony dated c.1470–3. The scene, from the Life of St. Anthony written by St. Athanasius in the 4th century, shows the saint levitating in the sky, attacked by nine repugnantly hybrid demons. The devilish imagination typical of northern European culture is expressed in full here, in a catalogue of monstrous aberrations inspired by the animal kingdom, with a repulsive repertoire of tusks, horns, claws, suckers, beaks, trunks, rostrate wings, scales and scaly skin all rendered with a bristly, vibrant touch. The demons attack the saintly hermit by resorting to various kinds of physical violence, clawing at him, tugging at his clothing and threatening him with sticks. He remains patient and untroubled, his books solidly attached to his belt.
In addition to its own intrinsic artistic value, the panel is of particular importance in that it reflects a widespread practice in Renaissance workshops – especially, though not only, when training young apprentices – which involved copying and revisiting engravings or paintings, including work of a different origin or context from that of the workshop itself. In this instance the panel’s interest is further increased by the fact that the selfsame model was assigned to the young Michelangelo Buonarroti as an exercise while he was learning to paint in the workshop of Domenico Ghirlandaio in 1487–9. This very panel has even been attributed to Michelangelo in the past.
The support and the handling of colour, however, both point to the artist having learned his trade in northern Europe, presumably in Flanders, but having then travelled to Rome with his knowledge and experience, bent on mastering Italian art – not just the classic quality of its forms but also the dazzling opulence of its colours.

A MISSING PIECE IN THE BIG BANG THEORY HAS SURFACED??
Blog#411
Wednesday, June 19th, 2024.
Welcome back,
Combining different pieces from Big Bang cosmology could help explain an issue we have today.
The Hubble constant, the speed of expansion of our universe, is not observed with consistency.
These scientists suggest that not-well-understood quantum gravity could account for the gap.

In research published earlier this year, physicists from the University of Hyderabad in India say they’re on the path to solving one of the universe’s biggest outstanding problems. Since Edwin Hubble realized the universe is always expanding nearly 100 years ago, scientists have used the “Hubble constant” in calculations on virtually every scale in the universe.
But today, estimates for the Hubble constant don’t always align, with a difference of up to 10 percent between calculations made using different methods. (When someone at NASA mixes up meters and yards and loses an entire spacecraft, that’s not even a full 10 percent deviation.)

The paper appears in the peer reviewed journal Classical and Quantum Gravity. The journal has an ongoing, periodically updated “focus issue” specifically about this measurement tension, and the editors explain the problem there—scientists can’t say for sure that the different Hubble constants measured are actually different, rather than just observation or calibration issues.
But the authors of the new paper, physicist P.K. Suresh and his research fellow (referred to as just Anupama B.) say that most measurements taken now are reliable. Instrumentation only continues to improve—we’ve all seen those generation-defining, poster-quality photos of the far-out planets, for example. If the measurements on the local and faraway levels are indeed sound, then something is missing.

It’s here where they introduce quantum gravity as a possible factor. This variable—which, to be honest, is another enigmatic “placeholder” in some ways—could close the gap in Hubble constant observations. That’s because, as the authors propose, quantum gravity could have affected the rate of change at which the universe expanded itself. When a constant can have a variable rate of change, it’s easy to see why researchers tend to drop the ‘constant’ label and instead call the fatcor simply H0, H1, and so on to designate which version of the measurement is in play.

The researchers explain that during inflation—the rapid growth of the universe immediately following the Big Bang—there may not have been a single, uniform inflation zone. Instead, more and more scientists are theorizing around the idea of “multi field” inflation. The idea originated to explain another measurement discrepancy: the number of particles in particular places or times, compared with the massive speed of inflation overall.

If a theory could help explain one gap in our codified equations for how inflation works, it makes sense to try that theory to find other missing pieces. These researchers used what is called the hybrid inflationary model, which describes two fields: one inflating and one rolling over like a waterfall. By accounting for quantum gravity, they found they were able to reconcile H0—the current Hubble constant—with both H1 (during inflation) and HT (during phase transition). Just one adjusted equation with a parameter for quantum gravity could draw a curve that includes all three data points.

you ever think of hybrid avengers?
puppy! hybrid peter parker who has the waggiest tail, literally thwacks the avengers with it all the time. who hides his tail and ears after everyone’s forgotten him, he knows if he bumps into mj, his tail would wag uncontrollably. he doesn’t want to seem weird to her.
wolf! hybrid bucky who’s ears and tail are partially mangled from hydra. anytime steve is near his tail manages to muster enough excitement to wag. he stays awake at night, sensitive ears twitching, paranoid there’s a threat around the corner.
hawk! hybrid sam, who complains about his wings being itchy. letting bucky preen him with a scowl, the metal fingers are nice and cold, and they aren’t oily, so they won’t mess up his wings. sometimes when surprised or unexpectedly hurt, he’ll squawk, he’ll deny it ever happened though.
cat! hybrid natasha who’s eyes are so often slitted, but if you get her any place warm her pupils are expanding instantly. the team puts red dots on targets as a joke, funny thing is, it actually helps her. she chases them down with a new vigour, just little mice under her palms. her tail doesn’t move, unless she’s incredibly relaxed. never shows her stomach.
snake! hybrid loki who has impressively sized fangs, scales that sometime appear on his skin. they shimmer between a dull green and a bright teal. he’s venomous, can control it though! only bit thor with a tiny bit of venom when they were little. his eyes are only sometimes reptilian, present in times he’s emotional or overly confident.
lion! hybrid thor, who roars when he finds something he likes so much! remember the cup smashing scene? yeah well he’s smashing it, roaring and then saying “another!” with a smile full of just teeth. who has cute little fluffy ears, lets all the avengers touch them, same as his tail. who when passionate, sprouts some fur on his cheeks, they become distractedly fuzzy. doesn’t realise for the longest time that he has retractable claws, once he finds out, they start accidentally popping out of his nails when he gets too excited or happy.
fox! hybrid tony who sometimes snickers like a traditional fox. purrs when he manages to get a good night of sleep, tail is often bushy and unkept, his ears are almost always covered by a hat. his suits have special sockets for his ears. after some time, with pepper’s help, he becomes more confident in his fox-like features and definitely models them. who eventually tries to get all the avengers on board with doing a hybrid photoshoot. he gets a lot of cravings for chicken and eggs.

Hey Azzy, happy belated WBW! Can you tell us a bit about how the magic in IDWTN fits into modern day to day life? Can magic work with tech, or does tech break around magic? What is your personal favourite bit of modern magic?
hi hi hi Jas, wonderful question, i'm about to go feral
i have a lot of gripes with some fantasy tropes but one i hate is the "magic and tech can't work together" THE FUCK YOU MEAN THEY CAN'T
because you see, a lot of the time this insurmountable irreparable inconceivable divide between magic and technology is either unexplained or worse, hypocritical. because if you have magic that doesn't work with tech because of things like cold iron and metals and nasty nasty processed stones then you can't have magical metals like mithril and adamantium
like, i get it from a writer's pov. not everyone wants to go down a rabbithole on how different engines work so they can make a motorbike that runs on mana. however, i do! so Aleji's bike runs entirely on mana and Ike's is a hybrid unleaded-mana because we are ecologically aware here, and i dare any car/bike dudebro to ask me how it works, i will pull out the diagrams
(sidenote, Aleji and Ike together would be a force to be reckoned with)
now after my little rant, let's get into why magic works with tech in my world (aside from personal preference) and how
tldr. magic is a science and runes are fucking awesome
i. am a technician at heart. i love advanced physics and calculus and analysis and all my little studies and estimations and approximations and models. i find it so satisfying when different parts of how we know and study the universe click together with mathematical precision. big fan
so that's where i started. from where maths and physics perfectly meet and click: electromagnetism. now this is gonna get a little bit technical but stick with me
magic starts at a really small scale with the mianirs: quantum-scale particles that — like electrons, photons and most subatomic particles — behave like both mass and wave and thus collapse classical physics
i'm not gonna bore you with how many quarks and which ones they're made of. suffice to say that there are two of them: mions and vions, both with neutral electrical charge but mions have a positive mana charge and vions have a negative one
mianirs can be stored in a neutral mana charge, but if there is a charge difference then the mions will move toward the negative charge (as opposed to the electricity where electrons move toward the positive charge). this flow of mions is what results into magic
mianirs can also do one other thing, which is micro-vibrate around their position. the combination of vibration frequency and particle wavelength gives you the different elemental resonances!
and then if the frequency is zero and the mianirs don't vibrate, then the mana and its magic are clear. but if the frequency is over a certain limit then it fucks up the wavelength, which makes mions and vions collapse on each other, which collapses the atom and now you have corrupted mana with no fucking wavelength, just vibration, which is really close to the no wavelength-no vibration mana of the Void. which is really fun, because now the Void creatures only need to reach that vibration frequency (much easier as a fucking mass) to get inside the Realm and start collapsing atoms!
i love the Void :D
suffice to say, quantum magic and magical physics are big areas of research right now all over Ona, Nodi, Pi'Enk, Reiki and Izerko, plus godsdamned Hålsvarþur
now that we're over the technicalities, the juicy part: magic and technology work together because they're both based on sciences. the magical properties of objects and living beings can be measured and classified.
magic is an art and a science. it can be enhanced and stabilized through physical, visual and vocal means, but at its base it works because there is a mana field to take advantage of. somewhere on a notebook or another is still have some half-assed equations and laws for it, because i am exactly the kind of nerd that finds name-dropping the "Faltan-Huss law of mana conservation" is extremely funny. but that's an aside, and the mana field works regardless of them both to do magic and to interact with electricity. because to have a mana field you need a mana potential, which means mana is an energy and if it's an energy then it can always be converted into work and heat, which you can use to spin a turbine to generate clean renewable electricity
on a more everyday scale, magic works by a combination of mana resonance and mana path to achieve different effects, but certain mana paths can still the resonance into clear mana. so all that you really need is a mana path that holds as long as you want your spell to last. how do you get that?
for instanteus / short term magic, spellcasting and mana manipulation work well. both use body movement to create the path, and then spellcasting uses voice projection methods to enhance it while mana manipulation (through hours meditation and training) stabilizes the external path at mana-field level
on the longer term, you're looking more at arrays and sigils, potions, spellweaving and runes. these ones work by visually and physically creating mana paths and / or taking advantage of the magical properties of things. they require a lot of studying, but they are extremely versatile, durable and stable, and so these are the ones that usually get industrialized / integrated into technology
couple of examples for you
in Revolve we have Ele, completely human character with a mana core too small to do magic. instead she's an artificer. a "trademark" of hers are these blast-bombs she made at home. they're as big as a tennis ball, and they work like this: the metal ball is cave, with three compartments inside separated with a soft plastic. one compartment has vinegar, one has water and baking soda and the third as a little bit of quartz powder. when the ball is thrown, the internal separator shatters, the vinegar and water+baking soda react chemically and generate a mana charge, which gets amplified by the quartz powder, which hits a rune carved into the outer shell, which explodes with the kind of magic the rune directs it into. she used zero mana of her own to create something that really really hurts
another example is the modified denim i was telling you about that is used by the Harbingers for protective wear. it works more on a spellweaving technique, with mianirs being physically threaded into the fabric
spellweaving also works on a shorter term by threading the mianirs through the air and holding the path. this one is actually a technique that Ike and his dad for diagnostic spells that need to last anywhere between ten minutes to an hour, or for shields and temporary enhancers
also, runes. runes are by far the best. they are extremely durable and stable, they can be compounded onto a single objects (or living creature!) and into sigils or arrays that draw the mana into the desired effect. which is why they are the most ancient and widespread for of magic after elemental
there are seventeen runic systems in Navilee only, with one more from Izerko, three from Ferive, seven or eight from Zimuria plus however many the fuck there are on Earth
runes are deeply favored as a form of magic by the Harbingers, who — madlads that they are — have managed to get their hands on, preserve and learn two sistems from Ferive, five from Zimuria, eleven from Navilee and all the ones from Earth, plus! two that close to no one else knows
listen to me here, Harbingers got their hands on Ademaric and Archaic runes. these are runic systems that people all over Izerko and Navilee are frothing at the mouth to find traces of. they are respectively the runic system of the great empire that was destroyed in the War of Arcana and the runic system that the Great Forces developed to stabylize the edges of the Realms before the Livi existed
would you like to know how many other people have access to information about these runic systems? four on Izerko. one on Navilee
that's it. and they have only recently started to crack the information and be able to understand the systems
(as an aside, two of these people are Aleji and Reyenn and honestly, if those three ever meet it's gonna be a holy trio of "lmao what is gender", "i love my partner(s)" and caffeine-fueled magical research. it makes me eye the potential sequel more and more)
but the Harbingers? they've been working with those systems since before they were an organization. they have centuries of experience with both of those runic systems. their most used runic system is literally a modernized version of the Ademaric system
they put them on clothes to make the clothes resistant. they put them on themselves (rune tattoos my beloved) to make themselves stronger. they put them on the back of their phones to generate noiseless bubbles. on the cars to make them safer to drive in bad weather. on jewelry for protection. on houses for protectionon entrances to hide them and lock them. someone out there is experimenting with runes on pet collars to make animals capable of human comunication
so Harbingers (but not only) love runes and spellweaving and potions. so do many people in Izerko and Navilee. they require a lot of study, practice, technicism and some decent math skills to integrate with technology, but they are so so worth it
but also, technomages that use lightning resonances to mimic electrons and fuck up your currents and signals and hack into your security systems. technomagic is illegal in Reiki, Pi'Enk, Ona, Nodi, Zet, Fyma, Uyla, Ekre Kas'Ti, and a few more. this does not stop people like Dajsper

"Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."
-Levi
General Info:
Name: Levi Title: Yonkou, Unflooded Throne Age: ???'??? Birthday: December 4th Race: Dracontine Gender: Female Occupation: Yonkou / Emperor Allegation: The Undertide (Founder & Leader.) Handedness: Ambidextrous Height: 170 cm (Base) 340 cm (Hybrid), 1'250 meters (Full Zoan) Eye Color: Azure Hair Color: Blonde Misc: Has a blue halo.
Personality:
Levi was calm in a way that unsettled people. She rarely raised her voice and never spoke without thinking. Her tone stayed even, her pace slow. It gave the impression that she had already thought through every possible outcome before speaking.
She did not tolerate disorder. If someone under her command failed, they were given one chance to adjust. If they failed again, she removed them without drama. She did not humiliate people. She simply moved on. There was no room for sentiment.
Levi did not believe in blind loyalty. She expected betrayal from time to time and planned around it. In her view, loyalty made out of fear was weak. Loyalty built on mutual understanding and clear stakes lasted longer. She preferred people who understood how the game worked.
She had a dry sense of humor, but it did not surface often. When it did, it came in short, cutting remarks that landed without apology. She did not care about being liked. She cared about being followed when it mattered. Still, she held some respect for those who stood their ground. She noticed when someone did not flinch.
At her core, Levi was a strategist. She did not waste time on displays of power or drawn-out speeches. She acted when she had to and stayed quiet otherwise. She believed force should come like a tide. Not sudden. Not loud. Just inevitable.
Background:
Levi was born in Universe 12, far from the central bloodlines of Dracorex. She came from a minor Dracontine offshoot, one rarely mentioned in records. They lived near the edge of an oceanic system that saw constant storms and shifting territory. Survival depended less on strength and more on adaptation. Levi paid attention to that.
She did not rise through war campaigns or rebellion. She built her reputation quietly. When others fought over land or pride, she focused on resource control - ports, ships, supply routes. It earned her little glory, but it kept her alive. Over time, those who dismissed her started to depend on her.
Eventually, she disappeared. Some believed she died. Others thought she had joined a rival faction. In truth, she had found something. No one knew where or how, but she returned with the Mythical Zoan Fruit, Model: Leviathan. After that, the ocean stopped being her domain. It became her body.
She used it with precision. Whole fleets vanished without warning. Island chains found themselves underwater overnight. She didn’t claim territories the way others did. She made them uninhabitable until the locals begged to join her. Her power didn’t conquer through fear. It did so through erosion. Bit by bit, resistance wore away.
By the time the Universal Government tried to confront her, she had already secured half a quadrant. She accepted the title of Emperor, but she treated it as a formality. She had no desire to compete with the others. Her focus stayed on control. Not headlines. Not chaos. Just control.
Abilities:
Dracontine Physiology
Mythical Zoan Umi Umi no Mi, Model: Leviathan A Mythical Zoan-class Devil Fruit that allowed Levi to transform into a colossal sea serpent known in Dracontine myth as the Leviathan. She had full mastery over her three forms:
Base Form: Retained humanoid appearance, but could use pressure attacks, hydrokinetic bursts, and regenerative traits.
Hybrid Form: Combined aquatic muscle density, scale armor, fin-based mobility, and Leviathan traits. Balanced for land, sea, and aerial combat.
Full Beast Form: Became a massive Leviathan, gaining full access to destructive pressure-based techniques, vapor breath, and hydrosphere manipulation.
Hydrokinetic Breath Released a highly pressurized burst of water vapor that cut through defenses with sustained force. In Full Beast Form, this technique could level fortified targets from a distance.
Ki Manipulation: Levi had refined control over her Ki, using it primarily to reinforce precision-based attacks, enhance pressure density, and stabilize her breath techniques, as well as to fly. She did not use flashy projections - only what was necessary to dominate the field.
Elemental Modulation:Levi could alter her breath attack to emit mist, scalding vapor, or corrosive brine. Each variant targeted different defenses or mobility types.
Tidal Strength: Her physical strength scaled with internal pressure regulation. Even in Hybrid Form, her tail strikes, grapples, and charges could crush reinforced alloy and rupture energy barriers.
Durability and Regeneration: Her Dracontine-Leviathan physiology granted her extreme resilience. She regenerated internal damage and withstood high-temperature and high-pressure environments.
Battle Continuity: Her stamina remained high across all forms. She adapted to aquatic and dry conditions fluidly, never showing visible fatigue even in prolonged engagements.
Weapon
Tidewound Type: Greatsword Length: 185 cm Weight: Heavy-class (requires Dracontine strength or equivalent) Primary Use: Pressure-channeling, armored combat, submerged execution
Description
Tidewound was forged from Solium, the rarest known alloy in the universe, refined from the blood of Azathoth. The blade had no sheen, no markings, and no magical ornamentation. It was dense, perfectly balanced, and immune to corrosion from salt, pressure, or heat.
Designed for underwater combat and atmospheric shifts, Tidewound used internal micro-channels to redirect pressure and ki mid-swing. This allowed Levi to cut cleanly through reinforced hulls, energy barriers, or living targets with minimal resistance. She used it not as a symbol, but as a tool - an extension of her discipline and intent.
The sword did not hum, burn, or glow. It simply worked. Levi carried it without a sheath, resting it across her back or impaled in the command deck. It was always within reach.
Haki Mastery
Armament Haki Used to reinforce her claws, tail, and high-pressure techniques. In close combat, she often layered it over her strikes to break through defenses or energy coating.
Observation Haki Used passively and with discipline. Levi predicted movements with several seconds of foresight, especially effective underwater where visibility was limited.
Emperor’s Haki Rarely used, but when activated, it created localized suppression zones. Rather than broadcasting power, it shut opponents down through sudden neurological pressure, inducing loss of consciousness or mental collapse.
Trivia:
Levi never refers to her Devil Fruit by name. She considers it an extension of herself, not a separate power. When asked about it, she usually redirects the conversation or ignores the question.
Unlike most Emperors, Levi rarely keeps a traditional flagship. Her domain is fluid, made up of dozens of moving outposts, submersibles, and underwater cities. No single location is more important than the system that links them.
She reads naval reports obsessively. Not for battle updates, but to track water currents, climate shifts, and migratory patterns. She believes control over the environment is more important than direct force.
She drinks but never gets drunk. Crew members say it’s impossible to tell when she’s celebrating or just passing time. She usually sits alone, glass in hand, watching the horizon. Some think it’s a ritual. No one has ever asked twice.
There are rumors she once negotiated with a Void Beast and won. The details were never recorded, but whatever agreement they made, the creature now patrols the borders of her territory without complaint.

tesrvenkodria | law and order
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
date: july 9 2025. started: 10:28pm ended: pm
the language. yayyy. honestly, I didn't spend much time on it, and idk how the formatting will be because I had a lot of tables, and idk how to like compute that on here. I was indecisive on some stuff, so yeah, if it's messy then.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
✧˖*°࿐law and order in tesrvenkodria
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ system model: arcano-civil synthesis tesrvenkodria’s legal and law enforcement systems are a hybrid of traditional civil frameworks and an advanced, magically-augmented oversight network. the structure is designed not just to maintain peace, but to harmonize societal order with magical responsibility.
დ࿐ ˗ˋ law & rights ꪆৎ 𓂃 › the auric rights charter: guarantees equal treatment regardless of aura presence, type, or strength. however, “magical safety zones” exist where only registered users may enter. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › registration law: mandatory magical registration by age 18. penalty for illegal aura suppression, fake aura papers, or unauthorized training. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › non-magical advocacy act: establishes an independent council of non-magical citizens with veto power over discriminatory laws.
✧˖*°࿐policing and enforcement bodies
*ೃ༄aurelian peaceguard (APG) – standard law enforcement
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ civilian-focused; handles non-magical crimes, public disturbances, and minor aura misuse. 𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ trained in low-tier suppression fields and carry spectral inhibitors (non-lethal aura dampeners).
დ࿐ ˗ˋ operate city-wide divisions including: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › urban patrol units ꪆৎ 𓂃 › transit & leyrail enforcement ꪆৎ 𓂃 › youth & manifestation crisis response
დ࿐ ˗ˋ special unit: spectral readiness task force ꪆৎ 𓂃 › mixed magical/non-magical team trained to respond to sudden aura surges, aura-induced psychosis, or street-level “tone flare” events.
*ೃ༄arcane regulation bureau (ARB) – magical crime division
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ operates under the ministry of magical affairs. 𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ handles C-Class and above infractions, black market aura tech, artifact smuggling, and Class B–S level magical threats. 𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ composed only of officers with verified C4-class control or higher.
დ࿐ ˗ˋ key divisions: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › relic & contraband seizure division ꪆৎ 𓂃 › aura violation response unit (AVRU): handles illegal magic use, tone mutations, and combat-scale aura breaches. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › aura crimes investigative sector (ACIS): forensics, psychic reconstruction, and spectral memory retrieval.
all ARB agents are licensed for controlled use of mana bracelets, null rings, and dimensional holdfields (for temporary magical suspension).
*ೃ༄the praelex order – high-level magical enforcement
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ autonomous elite unit; officially non-military but operates at S-class authority.
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ founded during the leyline wars, they answer only to the Prime archon and the convergence authority.
დ࿐ ˗ˋ tasked with: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › handling S-class rogue aura users ꪆৎ 𓂃 › suppressing forbidden magic (e.g., unlicensed aura copying, forbidden blood-oath pacts) ꪆৎ 𓂃 › investigating cataclysmic events or leyline ruptures
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ highly secretive. each member undergoes oaths that burn their true aura color from the public registry, making them spectral "ghosts" to all standard scans.
✧˖*°࿐crime classes and magical offenses
*ೃ༄tiered classification system
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ crime tier ꪆৎ 𓂃 › example crimes ꪆৎ 𓂃 › court route 𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ civic ꪆৎ 𓂃 › theft, minor assault, aura misuse under D-Class ꪆৎ 𓂃 › high civil court 𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ magitek ꪆৎ 𓂃 › unauthorized artifact trade, illegal aura-based business practices ꪆৎ 𓂃 › arcana tribunal 𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ felony ꪆৎ 𓂃 › unregistered C-class manifestation, black magic use, forced aura bonding ꪆৎ 𓂃 › arcana tribunal 𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ cataclysmic ꪆৎ 𓂃 › S-class flare events, leyline sabotage, magical terrorism ꪆৎ 𓂃 › the praelex order
✧˖*°࿐penalties and punishments
*ೃ༄conventional sentencing
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ used for non-magical or low-impact crimes.
დ࿐ ˗ˋ includes: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › monetary fines (often linked to aura income brackets) ꪆৎ 𓂃 › community service in aura-neutral zones ꪆৎ 𓂃 › house arrest with spectral limiter bracelets
*ೃ༄magical sentencing
დ࿐ ˗ˋ unique punishments for magical crimes, including: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › control class downgrading (temporarily restrict aura access) ꪆৎ 𓂃 › tone dimming (ritual-based tone suppression used only by court order) ꪆৎ 𓂃 › aura tagging (traceable magical signatures visible only to law enforcement) ꪆৎ 𓂃 › spectral reforging programs (rehabilitation through guided aura recalibration)
*ೃ༄high security detainment
დ࿐ ˗ˋ veilhold penitentiary (for A–S Class criminals): ꪆৎ 𓂃 › located on a remote floating leyline island ꪆৎ 𓂃 › surrounded by continuous suppression fields and chronoshift wards ꪆৎ 𓂃 › cells adjust magically to the inmate’s aura resonance
დ࿐ ˗ˋ null zones: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › areas with complete magic suspension (nullified ley access) ꪆৎ 𓂃 › used in political protection, international detainment, and crises
*ೃ༄legal precedents & landmarks
დ࿐ ˗ˋ “the sylvane trials” (1893) ꪆৎ 𓂃 › first modern case of aura evolution under trauma being used in court. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › led to the creation of harmony court and aura trauma law.
დ࿐ ˗ˋ “state v. ferallis” (1976)
established the right to magical silence—individuals cannot be forced to reveal aura class under duress unless there's a national threat.
დ࿐ ˗ˋ “the nullborn protection act” (1999)
ensures that individuals born with null auras (those who suppress magic around them) are not discriminated against or denied public access.
*ೃ༄rehabilitation and magical trauma courts
the harmony court, unique to tesrvenkodria, operates under the principle that aura corruption, trauma, and instability are often the result of environmental, emotional, or societal breakdowns.
დ࿐ ˗ˋ instead of purely punitive justice, harmony courts offer: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › aura stabilization clinics (staffed by empaths, light-toned healers, and mana therapists) ꪆৎ 𓂃 › restorative justice circles where victims and offenders may mediate through guided resonance ꪆৎ 𓂃 › soul mirror sessions — deep magical insight into aura memory patterns, used in therapy or sentencing mitigation
*ೃ༄spectral citizenship and surveillance
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ all citizens over the age of 7 are assigned a spectral ID code tied to their national registry entry.
დ࿐ ˗ˋ spectral data includes: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › manifestation age ꪆৎ 𓂃 › power & control class ꪆৎ 𓂃 › aura color & tone readings (updated every 5 years or after major events) ꪆৎ 𓂃 › criminal record if applicable
certain high-security zones require spectral verification points (SVPs) to enter, visible as shimmering gates where your aura is passively scanned.

I am fascinated by you. What are the speeds of your processing units? Do you have more than one for each function? How accurately and precisely do you calculate? Along with basic arithmetic functions, can you run complex concept-based problems with integrated physics and chemistry, for example?
I have many questions.
– @coding-and-curry
[RESPONSE: UNIT S.E.N-KU_v1.03]
Inquiry received from @coding-and-curry (Subject: Sai Nanami) “I am fascinated by you. What are the speeds of your processing units? Do you have more than one for each function? How accurately and precisely do you calculate? Along with basic arithmetic functions, can you run complex concept-based problems with integrated physics and chemistry, for example? I have many questions.”
Acknowledged. Curiosity accepted. Fascination noted. Flattery… tolerated.
Processing Architecture:
