oh i'm fine just thinking about the scene where mary tells dean and sam she has been working with the men of letters after she left them, how sam just stays quiet and stares and stares at her visibly hurt and dean is the one speaking up for both of them, the one letting her know how angry they feel that she was given the chance to be their mom and still chose not to. just thinking about how it's always this dynamic between the two of them, how easy it is for them to fall back into it, how they're kids again and dean is looking after sam to make sure no one hurts him, standing up in front of him, raising his voice, and defending him from the bullies, from their dad.
