oh absolutely. i love their age difference, but yeah if you took away that barrier (which would also mean taking away any father/son labels), they'd be all over each other with a quickness.

i enjoy chatting with the moots about how bruce does consider dick a peer, as in a brother and partner and fellow student, and he considers their batman & robin days as both of their childhoods. "when we were young, we were happy" etc etc. dick gave him permission to indulge in childlike joy, which bruce had denied himself after his parents' death (and in some tellings, he wasn't particularly childish even before then), and he and dick matured alongside one another. is that a healthy dynamic for a 20-something and an elementary schooler/preteen? nope! but it is them. when bruce and dick are in their silly pre-jason saw traps, they're playing together and gotham is their playground 💙

really big fan of the idea that early(aka first meeting and whatnot) herlock was like a typical sherlock characterization. or like closer to it than he is now. like yes he was prickly and arrogant and even a bit moody but in a way that refused kindness and the notion of being outwardly kind. but then comes mikotaba. who just goes and in his own way, even in his own grief, watsons the FUCK out of him. slowly but surely. and herlock grows and a bit and changes and continues to do so until he's the whimsical man we know today. he becomes softer.

I saw someone talking about this earlier but,

I am a little worried about end crystals getting nerfed, since it’s not out of the question. I can understand it from a standpoint of griefing, but I feel like that can be handled more with a rule of them having to be used outside of bases.

But something about them being nerfed when someone successfully used them and is better at using them than someone else would just rub off very wrong. Pangi (and Pili) have experience with end crystals, so of course they can utilize them better. Plus it would make for more interesting content if other people had to learn to get better at them and learn how to survive them then if they just removed them entirely. Especially because this is now one of green/red’s main advantages and they don’t have many in the first place.

Imagine if Isabela got to visibly age. Just imagine how emotional it would be to see her with wrinkles and grey hair and all the body changes that come with getting older, knowing that DA2!Isabela’s life was about surviving from moment to moment and she probably never expected to live that long.

(Full disclosure: I haven’t played Veilguard, so this isn’t any kind of commentary on the game itself. This is just me being grumpy about Isabela’s design/outfit, because I’ve seen enough of that to know I Don’t Like It.)

Arcane season 2 reminds me of when X-Men stories suddenly stop being about “the fighting between the oppressive government vs the moderate Xavier faction vs the radical Magneto faction,” and start being about “fighting generic robo-monsters who want to Kill the Entire Galaxy for generic reasons.” The unique (even if not all that politically #deep) fantasy premise about different factions battling over the right way to achieve progress just stops mattering, and gets tossed out for a generic comic book battle to Save the Universe. And so you just watch the high-budget empty spectacle of the generic Robot Monster Fights like “aww…………I miss Magneto.”
