Here’s the randomest thing ever, but here’s a post of me ranting how well NATM characters would be at bowling:

Jedediah: 3/10 if there was a bowling ball his size, he’d do ok?? But I don’t think he’d have the time and patience to learn how to bowl. If he got frustrated, I can imagine he’d try to shoot the ball.

Octavius: 5/10 I think he’d be better than Jedediah, for sure. A lot more practice and grace, but I don’t think he’d stay interested for long. Maybe a round or so, but he wouldn’t be a pro.

Teddy: 8/10 I think he’d be pretty decent, maybe even pick up bowling as a hobby. Not much to say here.

Attila: -1/10, would probably throw the ball with both of his hands, breaking the bowling lane. It’s ok, Attila. Not everyone was made for sports 💔

Ahkmenrah: 0/10 He’d be more interested in the served chicken tenders and fries made in the back instead of playing. Which— I totally respect

Larry: 10/10 He was a total bowler growing up. If he really tried, he could’ve gotten a scholarship with how good he was. Though, I think he preferred to keep it as a hobby. But he’s really good— I think he’d even know the technique where you use both of your hands. But— I may be biased since I’m totally not Larry Daley

Sacajawea 7/10 Similar to teddy, I think she’d be ok. Though, it might take her a moment to understand the rules of the game and such.

no but really, I think it fits him really well! I had thought his UM would probably involve something kinda sleight-of-handy or pickpockety! and I looooved that it made such a nice loop-around back to episode 1. ❤️ I was. kind of half-expecting him to just run out and punch Riddle in the nose again. but instead this time 'twas he who offed the queen's head! it was great! and he did it while stone-cold terrified out of his mind! because Ace is the only remotely normal or well-adjusted person at NRC and therefore the only one who is like "we're going to literally die, this is super effed up". but he did it anyway!!!! I AM SO PROUD

Headcanon: Deep down they both want to be their fairy godparent/godkid again after losing them, but don't believe they deserve each other and feel like they aren't worthy to be their companion anymore

i always bounced off the "she was a halla and he was a wolf 🥺" or "she's sooo mild and innocent and he's a hardened stoic morally grey immortal" version of solavellan, bc firstly that is generically heterosexual in a way that i find silly. and secondly the timeline is just. SO wild.

from lavellan's perspective they're like "hm this guy saved my life from the anchor! cool. a very knowledgeable and skilled mage. he's a bit annoying about the dalish but i do like our talks. we've been through some pretty scary life or death situations together. he seems kind of mysterious or depressed at times, i wonder what's going on there. but we have been flirting a bit... maybe i can go for 1 (one) kiss and see what happens 🤔"

this is very normal. this isn't notably "✨such a pure and gentle soul that has won the heart of the ancient bloody-handed trickster✨" behaviour, they're actually acting in a fairly regular way as someone who has a crush.

but by the point lavellan makes any move at all, from solas' perspective. he is already Dying Internally. he is Pining. when lavellan shoots their shot, he's already reached the level of "meeting you has changed my whole life and worldview, i don't know how to handle it," and presumably has restrained himself from saying anything to them only through pure stoicism and willpower. millennia of insurgency and political experience, all bent onto the task of Acting Normal Around Lavellan. he's halfway about to blurt out a love confession if they reciprocate the feelings at all.

his entire plan for however many eons was to NOT get overly attached to any single person and risk his trolley problem calculations and schemes for them, but within like 4-6 months of hanging out with this random, somewhat curious mortal, he's considering telling them everything and/or giving up the plan entirely. truly cringe fail.

I love how the general consensus in Scum Villain ABO fics is that whatever Shen Jiu's secondary gender was, he was lying about it.

Omega? Obviously he's going to cover that up. Potential weakness! Probably related to past traumatic experiences! No one can know! He's going to pretend to be either a Beta or an Alpha instead.

Alpha? Hates it and everyone else and has no interest in playing the type. Hides it less because of how other people might respond and more because he's having some kind of complicated dysphoria about it.

Beta? I've never see it but I bet he'd disguise that as well. He's totally an Alpha, don't ask questions, fuck off and don't violate the mile-wide personal space bubble.

Whatever Shen Jiu is, we all know he'd be wildly uncomfortable with it.

Actually it turns out I had more thoughts about that post that I forgot about lol

Would Nightmare actually give up his boys? Yes and no

If it was just a black and white situation of they're miserable, they don't wanna be here, they have somewhere better to be, then yes. He would leave them out to wherever they needed to be despite his own feelings and very quickly realise afterwards just how much he'd gotten used to the noise and company. I think he would get a little clingy with Dream about it, which I'm sure Dream would find very weird after everything but not unwelcome, he did miss his brother after all.

(If he couldn't attach himself to Dream's side for whatever reason, I think he might just sit in his castle and go insane. Or maybe he'd just spend all day at Ccino's trying really hard to project that he just likes the atmosphere and isn't lonely as hell)

But the thing is, most of them don't have somewhere better to be. Horror has his au, and Nightmare would keep up the supply of food even if Horror said he wanted to quit at this point, so he would understandably let him return home. Killer, Dust and Cross effectively don't have aus anymore though, and they tend to get into self-destructive habits when they're left to their own devices. (Obviously bringing Color and Epic into the mix to make sure Killer and Cross are taken care of eases matters, but Dust doesn't really have any friends outside their group he could go stay with - that Nightmare knows about at least).

The flipside of this is that his boys may not necessarily want to be given up. I think if Nightmare got really in his head about this he could easily end up convinced this is the right thing to do without ever asking them if it's what they want, with potentially terrible results. He's established such a pattern of always returning to find Killer when they get seperated, that if he never showed up Killer might just keep sitting there and waiting for him greyfriar's bobby style, refusing to leave because he's certain his boss is coming back.

i love kingdom come deliverance truly, but in the canon timeline henry has been waving a sword around for like 20 weeks absolute max. i do not and cannot as a longtime audience member accept that he could fairly best accomplished swordsman istvan toth in even combat on an even stage by virtue of his skill alone - or by anything but the massive dumb luck of "sometimes it be that way" - and for me such a player-ego appealing look-how-far-we've-come conclusion isn't just hard to swallow in a logistical sense; it robs us of a major villain's unique scariness (a la underdogging runt vs. facing him while deeply overleveled), dulls his continued psychological power over henry, and drains the scene of its authenticity and potency. istvan and henry are not peers in any sense except their singular love for a man inappropriate for their station. what i'm saying is - i defenestrated that showstopping bitch. 🩷 for plot reasons 🩷
