“We’re back?” Your head swiveled again, taking in what is most definitely your room. “We’re back! Casper, we’re—"

You were cut off by his lips that suddenly pressed against your own. You melted into it easily. At first, you thought that the happiness and relief of finally being able to just be together, but then you felt a dampness on your shoulder. 

You wanted to comfort him, tell him that everything was okay now. Joke with him by asking if he was crying because he just now realized that he was stuck with you for eternity., but you couldn’t. As much as you joked and teased, and acted like you didn’t give a shit. You gave a monumental amount of shit, especially when it came to those you care about. 

So, you simply held him tighter, and cried along with him. The past ten days of emotions finally breaking your well patched damn. As well as his own feelings that you could feel ever so faintly through your connection.

You don’t know how much time you passed, but eventually sobs became sniffles and sniffles became silence. Until he spoke. 

“I love you.” He curled deeper into you, “I can finally say that without the fear of our deaths looming over my head.” He chuckled. “I thought that I would feel lighter, but I honestly feel…not worse, but heavy.”

“I get it.” Your hands found his hair, one hand on his scalp while the other ran through its long length. “We’ve escaped death…and life—the whole cycle and all that, but we’re still left with this connection. Which—! I’m not opposed to, of course. I love our connection, but…everything happened so fast, and now we’re left alone to pick up all these pieces, but I guess…” You paused. “I’m glad that I’ll be able to spend the rest of our existence with each other figuring it out.”

Casper untangled himself from you. His face was flushed red and his eyes were swollen, but he’s never looked more beautiful to you. 

“I’d like that a lot, Sunshine.” His smile was as bright as your nickname, but then he looked away. 

You smiled, “What is it, Casper?”

“…can I kiss you?” 

Your smile widened. “Of course, and take this as permission to do any other time. You won’t have to ask again.” Then you paused. “…hm, actually I think asking once in a while would be pretty hot.”

“Okay, you’re done.” His lips captured yours. 

For now. You were done for now. Fortunately, he still had to deal with you once the two of you came up for air. 

I'll be so real, I wanted to write smut for him first, but I've been wombo combo'd by Ligher (ZZZ), Fiend!Sylus (LADS), and this game's DLC release that I've had no moment to rest (I still wanna get the smut out before working on Sylus, but we'll see).

Anyway, despite getting one of the good endings (I consider this one the best), I still made it sad lmao.

This is the best itager doujinshi ever. Hands down. I've never read anything that has topped this it is literally perfect. It's created by overlord R who's only critical fault is that she ships gerita.. but ngl i think she was just born in the wrong time. You'll see a lot more work by her here and i genuinely think that if she was born in an era that didn't push for uke italy she would've been an itager warrior. shes like how a lot of people who aren't racist in this day and age (thank god) would've TOTALLY been super racist 50 years ago (you know what i mean? sometimes you just can tell when you know somebody). Poor R was born in the wrong generation.

This one is also great but I'd say it's only a tinyyy bit more behind the other two because of the knowledge she is a Gerita believer (it spoils the taste of some bits when you think about it). If you ignore her beliefs though this is a just as high quality of Itager doujin as the other two

Temperatur - PB (Neri)

What's this?! A doujin that's improperly sorted on [MANGA SCANLATION SITE] under gerita?! This is Itager LOL you can literally see it on the title and on Otaku Republic its labled as itager as well. Although it has fully proper intentions behind it, it's still not nearly as good as R's above doujinshis or my favorite Itager fanartist (who will come up later in the pixiv comic section). This isn't because it's itager of course (im going to fucking kill you if you go "durhhh its worse because its itager since gerita is supreme") NO. It's because this author isn't willing to keep "it" in their pants! This is a shounen ai but there's still too much eroticism for the sake of sexiness rather than humor which takes away from the critical broship aspect of itager! I have nothing against ero (if you know me im SUPER pro-ero) but yaoi is a science! Erotic scenes are like chilli crisp in a doujinshi... YOU MUST USE THEM PROPERLY OR ELSE IT'LL RUIN THE YAOI INSTEAD OF ENHANCING IT! Also there is pruaus jumpscare which ranks it down for me too.

HONORABLE MENTION

I have two Itager doujinshis I bought off Otaku Republic that have never been scanlated before. They are the last of their kind on the website, so I'm too afraid to tear them open for scanlation. I also don't know how to translate Japanese and it probably would be a nightmare to contact the original authors of these doujins since they're so old... but the art looks so good... especially for strawberry sex. I will make a point to put an effort in this over the summer (if I cannot get permission, then I will translate it for myself and you will need to personally contact me to see the translation, out of respect for the original author).

this motherfucker is my goat. my on god goat. i think they hate hetalia now or are just average japanese embarassed of their past bc they deleted all their hetalia work and i would literally do anything to put them in a time machine and make them go back to when they liked this shit so i could commission them to make a whole doujinshi with my entire year of part time job pay. Perhaps I'm wrong, since this is all we have left of motsu's legacy in the itager wars, but this is SO freaking itager i think my eyes would start rolling to the back of my skull if i found out they're another gerita victim of the era. because almost everybody else on this motherfucking post is a victim to being born in the wrong generation, but they do have comics and fanarts that show symptoms of their gerita truth aids (and the comic gets really weird or bad suddenly when it kicks in like you can pinpoint it). Motsu has never faltered. And whats even more impressive is that this is absolutely canon. The best itager doujinshi by R is incredible and perfect because it's exactly canon, but I think that motsu takes it a step further by being able to create mundane comics that still have the same level of canon atmosphere. I'll admit that R's best Itager doujin relies on sticking close to things himaruya has already written to keep it standing strong. Motsu doesnt give a single fuck. bro said no pads no helmet no condom we whip out dick out in the wind raw and see who gets pregnent. and it turned out himaruya did because these comics are absolutely perfect they are a true extension of the real webcomic itager which i think i have a SUPER SUPER long way to go until i can get there. (at this point I kind of embrace that my itager is colored in the way my way of writing and humor is, but that is because i draw itager for fun too much these days due to heavy school and work. my career is studying classical #true webcomic himaruya style itager which requires actual skill).

R (corolla):

These above three are very good quality R pixiv comics (going from best (top) to great (bottom))

^ Good tier comic. nothing excellent but nothing bad in its flavor

The below four are itager comics I would consider OK, but they have some form of gerita AIDS that causes it to be a bit unpleasant to eat (to varying degrees, going from OK (top) to what is this gay shit <- derogetory (bottom)). R was born in the wrong generation... and it really starts showing how the environment influenced them to add some really bad components to their version of the ship

To clarify, none of these are absolutely terrible awful "killed my grandma" kind of things. All of these comics compared to the average gerita comic are WONDERFUL. But if we are looking at it alone without the context of the gerita invasion our world is suffering from, these OK-bad tier comics do have key components wrong with them. If anyone is interested I suppose I can make another post annotating what is wrong with these comics, but I feel like that is unnecessary and a bit cruel considering R doesn't seem interested in the ship anymore. Sometimes people live and die in the wrong era, and you must acknowledge their faults, but still be understanding of the situation they were in.

Hakoniwa:

If you've read all the English translated doujins for this ship floating around online, you probably recognize this author and are surprised this is here! Yes, they have a billion jillion gerita doujins and i hate all of them LOL. But this one pixiv comic is the one time they got something right. Hakoniwa seems to have this problem that (aside from gerita... although I think this is a symptom of having gerita aids) they make this ship way too emotional in an angsty sadness manner! I understand that their focus is that they prefer exploring the emotional depth of ships rather than making humorous situations, but they're doing it all wrong! (this isn't even to mention how I think that humor and emotional depth are things that can exist side by side; even complimenting each other if executed properly....) I feel like people get the idea with ships that sadness/angst = depth, which is untrue. emotional components that twist your heart around and bring you to tears can come from sad AND happy things, it just seems to be that it's much harder to execute with happiness. People think angst and fluff are opposite things when really, they're two sides of the same coin, with both of them being done terribly most often LOL. I don't consider myself someone who likes fluff or angst at all actually, because it seems that when people describe something as either of those things, neither of them provoke the feeling im supposed to have. I think that with itager, it has lots of depth in its emotional components, but these components are made of things that make you feel so heartwarmed that you could cry. This comic does not reach that level, but it is for once an emotional comic that Hakoniwa gets RIGHT. This is canon compliant. This is something that would happen. This is ITAGER!

FANFICTION:

There is no good itager fanfiction. There is very few mid ones. maybe one or two OK/almost good ones. but no solid good ones. and this is coming from a guy who spent the last 6 years scouring ao3 and fanfiction dot net. In my opinion, hetalia fandom has this wretched curse that it will uniquely be the only fandom with so much fanfiction with none of it being good. Good hetalia fanfiction does not exist for Itager and Romapru. For other ships maybe, but at least for the two I'm into hell No. Everytime I come back to ao3 it just leaves me upset and unsatisfied like that stripper that i KNOW doesn't actually love me and just wants my money, but I keep coming back hoping shell change her mind. NEWS FLASH! SHE WONT!! SHE JUST NEEDS TO PAY HER BILLS THIS MONTH!

Seasons 1-4 (APH to World Series... in other words before the artstyle changed.) + bits and pieces of beautiful world are good (but some are BAD... LOOKS AT THAT ONE SCENE THEY ADDED THAT I FUCKING HATE).

Bloody Moimoi:

I'm not a bloody moimoi expert, but of course I've read their doujins how could i not. They have pieces of real goodness in them, but basically all of their work is R-18, so of course the gerita aids is too much for my palate to handle. I'll take a closer examination at them if somebody asks me to, but for now I'd say if you haven't read their work yet you should, since during their non R-18 scenes I remember theres some good parts, but the R-18 totally kills my boner *cries*

IN CONCLUSION:

I hate to do this, and it's a long shot I know, but things are getting desperate and it seems like I'm going to be waiting WAY longer than I should be for something that's fairly urgent.

I'm a disabled trans man living in the UK. Recently I was found to have severe anemia, and came up with my FIT test (gastrointestinal cancer screening) a few months ago, and was referred for a colonoscopy to find out the cause, since it looks like I'm having a slow but constant bleed through my GI tract. However, my referral has been awaiting review for over three months now. I'm not even on the waiting list, I'm waiting for someone to decide if I need to be on the waiting list. Since then I've started having GI symptoms such as pain, intermittent loss of appetite, etc. as well as my anemia worsening significantly.

This is of course pretty urgent, but it looks like I'll be waiting months longer once I finally get on the waiting list too. I really have no choice but to get it done through a private hospital, because of the time sensitive nature of, you know, potentially having cancer. I managed to put some money away out of the backpay I got from PIP, but it's not enough.

Currently I have around £1,400 stashed away from PIP backpay I got after they royally fucked things up (however I may need to dip into this at points if I find myself struggling). Together the consultation plus the colonoscopy will cost £2,619, which leaves me about £1220 behind. I know I'm most likely not going to get that much from this, but I honestly have no choice but to try my luck here. I really don't know what else I can do.

I really don't like asking for money from people for nothing, but I have a Ko-fi store where I sell handmade screen printed patches, and I'll be adding more designs to it over the coming weeks when I have the time and energy to make new screens. I'm also offering commissions for custom band patches! (Due to Kofi's TOS I can't officially offer patches for bands without their permission.). Below are a few examples of my work:

the devs have given you permission to add 1 (one) quest of your design into the game, specifically doing something fun/low-stakes with one or more Rangers post-war. What are you doing and with which Ranger(s)?

I'll go first: (under the cut bc it got longer than intended)

Corunir has been enlisted to help do repairs in the lower circles of Minas Tirith. And by "enlisted" I mean "Corunir Does Not Know How to Take A Break and needs to be constantly helping people, so he showed up wouldn't leave until the foreman gave him something to do"

Now, as this quest would have to be located in Minas Tirith Midsummer, the foreman is not particularly comfortable saddling this war-hero with busywork when he should be celebrating the end of the war he helped bring about! nevermind that that's what literally every other quest in midsummer is making the PC do shh don't worry about it

ANYWAY, he's got a plan, but he needs your help with it. Around dusk, he wants you to tell Corunir that there's some repairs that need done on the top of the wall at east side of the 2rd circle, which coincidentally just so happens to be where the best view of the fireworks they're setting off at the gates is. Also be sure to bring along this plate of snacks and some comfy pillows to sit on.

so when Corunir gets up there he's like "that's weird, I don't see any damage up here-" and then he sees the fireworks starting to go off, that you brought snacks, and puts two and two together and is like "oh darn, it looks like I've been tricked into watching a fireworks show, you devious trickster you (affectionate)"

so you guys get to hang out and watch the fireworks for a bit, and afterwards Corunir laughs at the fact that you literally had to trick him into relaxing and having a good time. Perhaps you have a point, he should allow himself some time to actually enjoy the peace they fought so hard for. He recalls Radanir had proposed the Rangers should do a pub-crawl later, and now thinks he should take him up on the offer. (and, of course, the PC should be allowed to join in, but alas I'm only allowed to add One quest as per my own rules lol)

My therapist had an emergency and had to cancel on me this week, so I need to write down my thoughts before the ADHD void eats them. This one is a little raw.

There are so many sites and papers and resources about how trauma leads to hypersensitivity and how to be gentle and respectful of such victims, but I can never and have never found anything on how the same trauma can lead to you not being able to handle hypersensitive people at all--which sucks because it reminds me so much of the classic sucky case of incompatible autism quirks.

Growing up gaslit (literal actual definition) by my parents well into my early adulthood by being blamed for everything a sibling did, abused and punished for things they thought I said or did (no a sneeze is and never has been a laugh and even if it was does it warrant screaming yourself hoarse at a child), and told again and again I was born wrong and make people miserable and the reason I don't understand why is because I'm Evil (again, a child)... is it any surprise really that I get extremely angry around the flavor of sensitive person that by-default assumes the worst intent or thoughts in those around them?

Is it not the same thing? The assumption that I've done something bad or malicious that I have not and would not ever do? Overly apologetic people that compulsively apologize for even the most innocent things, posts/comments that exude those vibes or seem to be asking for permission to do things in their own space (why are you asking others stop putting this responsibility on someone else you're an adult), etc out of fear that they will be found annoying/make someone mad/literally explode and die. You know the type. Anyone you have to walk on eggshells around.

And DUH I know it's not personal, that's the worst part! Obviously it isn't! This is their own issues manifesting as a defense mechanism/desperation for acceptance just as I have my own, BUT it does unfortunately become a self-fulfilling prophecy because now I AM angry and annoyed as hell because an assumption of bad intent/faith has been made of me without any evidence (even though I am but a silhouette in a bigger crowd and it is not a direct personal thing in the slightest) and whoops that's my main trigger! Like oopsie (hypothetical) the killswitch is turning on and I'm seething because someone apologized for "being annoying" one too many times even though literally no one has said anything suggesting anything of the sort which means they surely see me as some sort of malicious horrific monster that hates them because why else would they assume such a thing when you wouldn't assume that of normal chill people you're cool with! Except no, of course they don't see you that way, it's just anxiety/trauma/whatever talking, please be more patient with them, etc etc.

To which I say Sure! Of course! I'll try my best! I understand completely!

Patience for me though? Asking them to (in the kindest gentlest way) to meet me halfway and accommodate me back in return by easing up on the constant apologies and assuming by default I want to hear from them and about them and want only good things for them?

Suddenly that's an impossible ask. I'm being callous just asking for that, you can't just ask sensitive people to "toughen up"! So it's expected of you to just keep face-tanking repeated triggers over and over again as you grit your teeth and try your best (ie "toughen up"). All the while you're working so hard to heal so you won't deal with this stupid fucking trigger anymore that makes you viciously angry at fellow abuse victims/anxious folks with different defense mechanisms... bonus points of course if they aren't trying to get better themselves while you're certainly expected to and demanded to because you have the "weird/wrong/less talked about" trigger and response.

It's just, unfortunate. It's an unfortunate incompatibility. It fucking sucks actually. I wish there was more in the way of resources and conversations for people like me, but I can't find any. It's so isolating and it only feeds into my detachment and dissociation tendencies more so that I don't have moments like this (concurrently making me feel everything less and care about nothing anymore).

And it's especially unfortunate because tumblr is a really bad place at times for me because of it. Most of the time it doesn't affect me (high mental health times, logic wins out). When it does, I try my best to simply not respond or acknowledge in any way the posts and content that turns me into a snarling snapping beast for the stupidest reasons (oh, someone apologized too many times in their tags or post on their own blog for whatever anxious reason and now I want to tear their throat out). I simply close the tab/channel/log out/close the computer, because I know I'm being very stupid and this is a nonsensical irrational response. It's not about me. I don't need to and shouldn't care.

In the rarest of cases, I've unfollowed. It takes a lot still for me to unfollow for this reason (I am thankfully not an impulsive person) but in the few cases that it has, I'm sorry I tried I explode them with my mind before realizing that was probably a sign I should not keep letting myself be exposed to things that make me think and feel that way. I probably did and still do think they're a cool person and liked them 90% of the time, and I don't have any blame or hatred or whatever negative feelings! It sucks being like this, I know intimately!

But, I am simply a very tired girl trying not to reach a breaking point and go sicko mode on someone because I got irrationally and disproportionately angry over anxiety posting on the fucking internet.

And for the love of GOD if you're actually close with me and we talk for realsies (not just tumblr moot) and reading this makes you anxious about how you act around me just fucking talk to me directly please. It really only becomes an issue these days when it's a repeated thing from the same person, and especially after it's been talked about and nothing changes. If you've shown a lack of capacity of change or no interest in it, wellllllllll

I'm in a liminal space I realize, between irrationally accepting "yes everything is my fault whatever you're accusing me of I absolutely did because I am intrinsically Bad" and "No how the fuck is that my fault? Why are you pushing your feelings and problems onto me when I have my own shit to deal with? How dare you?! How FUCKING dare you?!?! Hello there! I've been wanting to replay the older Baldur's Gate games, and was searching around for mlm NPC romance mods. I saw yours mentioned and found your site with some googling, but it seems the place they were hosted at is gone now (Spellhold Studios). I was wondering if you still have the mods available somewhere? Either way, I hope you have a great day!

OK, this has made go down a modding-community rabbit hole! I hadn't done anything with our Baldur's Gate 2 mods, or looked at them really, since 2015 and I really appreciate it because they're something that brought my wife and I a ton of joy, and they were the first interactive narratives I made.

I got in touch with folks on the Gibberlings3 forum which is, wonderfully, still going strong, and have given permission for Faren and Nathaniel to be uploaded to the Spellhold Studios GitHub (which has a bunch of other mods too - do check out Adrian, Isra, and Ninde in particular!) to the team maintaining it. That may be a little while as some of the team are ill right now, but once I hear that it's done, I'll post about it here; I've also been pointed to some links where the mods were mirrored. Note that I haven't tested these myself on a current BG2 install, but it is easy to uninstall WeiDU mods if there's a problem.

Faren is a bisexual True Neutral fighter/thief (I can't remember if he's dual-classed or multi-classed) who's easygoing, down-to-earth, and up for partying, with a bit of a checkered past - his adventuring party died in one of the dungeons you can visit in BG2, and since then he's been picking up dodgy jobs, feeling a bit adrift, and trying to get his life back on track. That's where the PC comes in! You can befriend him or romance him (starting with either a casual or more committed tone, then committing further if you want to), and he has a personal quest in which a shady figure from his past wants him to do one last job. He was our third mod, and we'd developed our skills with writing and scope a lot by then. When I play BG2, I play with Faren! You can currently download Faren here. It's the version updated in 2015 with more banters with modded NPCs and the Enhanced Edition characters; there may be compatibility issues installing it with other newer mods but do give it a try.

I found The Luxley Family, which was our second mod, on the GitHub here. From a cursory (rusty) glance it looks like it should be compatible with Enhanced Edition, but the storyline is only for Shadows of Amn and doesn't continue into Throne of Bhaal. Sebastian and Andrei (Chaotic Neutral bard with a custom kit and Lawful Neutral monk respectively) are members of a mysterious, reclusive family who are under a curse. Sebastian's a worldly playwright who's showing his polite but moody teenage cousin Andrei the sights when they bump into the PC. They aren't romanceable, but you can have a fling with Sebastian, who's bisexual, if you let/help him mess up his life sufficiently.

Nathaniel is a Lawful Good gay fighter with a lot of feelings. He was our first mod and I am really proud of the impact he had on a lot of people and even other games back in the day, but if you play, go in expecting a LOT of feelings good and bad, relationship drama, and angst! (There's something very sad about the fact that as teens we could not imagine a D&D setting without homophobia back then; the idea of a knightly order thinking well of gay people just didn't cross our minds. it's extraordinary how much better a lot of things are now, including the queerness in D&D streams, books, and of course Baldur's Gate 3. Interestingly, we didn't include homophobia in the Luxley Family or Faren and I don't remember how conscious that was; maybe we'd become more hopeful by then.) You can download an outdated version of Nathaniel here but I don't think it will be compatible with Enhanced Edition.

I found this fun lil AO3 list a while back and thought I would finally fill it out!

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

50! Holy shit! I didn't think it was so many! I think I have more here on Tumblr because I didn't post the Bangathon or other challenge fics there.

2. What's your total A03 words count?

344,394!

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Pretty much anything that Pedro's been in. Some more than others - The Mandalorian, Triple Frontier, The Bubble, etc.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Something New, One Very Good Night, Both Sides of the Door, A Sweet Response to Tragedy, and Good Company. Four out of five of these are in my I Think of You series.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes! Every single one I get! I just caught up on all of them after a hiatus, but it's my favorite thing to respond to the kind readers who leave comments.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Cognitive Dissonance, though it was redeemed by it's sequel. I do love an angsty ending but I don't write a ton of them on Tumblr.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Definitely Decoherence, the sequel to Cognitive Dissonance. They got the happiest ending I could give them after all the grief!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not that I can remember? I've been corrected before, which is very helpful when I'm out of my depth.

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?

Oh yes. Oh yesssssss. Allllll sorts of smut with all sorts of people, though there's much more I haven't written yet! Plenty of time for that!

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I've already mentioned it several times but the Whiskey & Westworld series is the big one. I've also done a Mentalist/Kingsman crossover for a few spicy fics.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Hopefully not!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Not that I know of, but if someone wanted to they could (with permission).

13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?

Not yet! But that would be a fun time!

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

I was always a huge sucker for 9th/10th Doctor x Rose from the Doctor Who fandom.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I posted a snippet of a Joel fic that I don't have clear direction for, but maybe it will find the light of day. There are several dead docs in my WIP folder that most likely won't be written. Every writer's got a graveyard!

16. What are your writing strengths?

I have a pretty strong narrative voice in oneshots. I'm also good at adapting that voice to other story styles I write. I'm good at describing feelings and anchoring them in the body. I excel at making connections and foreshadowing. I'm also very good at writing smut ;)

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Procrastination! I find that when I start writing it becomes all-consuming, but actually jumping into the writing is a big energy dump. I also tend to speed through sections in shorter fics, where I'd like to take more time in the scene than summarizing the scene.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I of course picked a fandom for which I do not speak the second language of the MMC I use. I'll use it occasionally, but I prefer to hint at speaking another language than try to translate it well enough for someone to not laugh at it. Trust me, I've fucked up translation so much in my second language that I am happy to spare myself the embarrassment.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Gundam Wing, back when fic writing was me and my friends handwriting our self-insert fics and reading them during sleepovers. What a time!

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

I Think of You, hands down. I love the feeling that series gives me when I read it or write it, and there's so much more story I want to tell.

Voiceteam is done! (and I'm back from my trip)

I somehow overestimated how good the internet would be on my trip, as I could not connect to Tumblr at all. It was just BLANK. I managed somehow to post to AO3 for my last few podfics, so I guess I'll share them here. I might have a couple of links left to share from all that, but I'll share them when I get them.

I sang literally only a tiny bit for our Pink Panda Bandits theme song for round 3. I was so busy recording other filks, that I won't be able to post until I get permission from the writers, because we needed it for our mod dare this round. So I've got a bunch of unedited podfics recorded sitting around that I planned on finishing but instead just sang for most of my points lol.

2. For Amnesty, originally for round 1 I had podded another @ligercat fic called A Dog's Duty: (I may have been purposefully picking easier-looking ones for starting out...but they were still so fun!)

3. Another that I ended up posting for Amnesty that was originally for round 1 was a Merlin fic that I was recommended to pod written by @schweetheart called: the course of true love (never did run smooth). This so far was the longest podfic I have done, at about 23 minutes...which admittedly doesn't sound very long but before this one I'd only done ones less than 10 minutes long LOL. It was a fun challenge to stretch myself that way though, and the fic was a delight.

Alrighty, now I should probably go to bed but I probably won't because while I'm absolutely exhausted I'm also still exhilarated from the day and driving, so maybe I'll write??? I was utterly unable to work on the Chesterton Challenge Prompts since I couldn't access Tumblr and hadn't listed them. Plus I just didn't generally write because the conference I went to was a little bit different than I was expecting (even though I've gone two times before). People were more social with me and wanting to talk with me and spend time with me just generally, so I couldn't go hide in a corner and write as easily. Which it is great that I got to go talk to real people face to face, but it is kinda a bummer that I got so little free time. I am definitely looking forward to introverting for the next couple of days after extraverting so much...

No More Blind Dates

Summary: Padmé sets Anakin up on a blind date... again, and despite his annoyance he goes and of course he gets stood up, let alone waiting at the movie theatre looking like a lost puppy. Thankfully someone else finds him.

"I'm setting you up on a blind date."

     Anakin looked up from his book, lounged back on the couch, confused. "What?"

     "I'm setting you up on a date," Padmé repeated, "and no, you don't get a choice."

     She turned and walked into Anakin's kitchen and began rummaging through the fridge. Anakin slammed his book closed and chased after her.

     "No! No, we talked about this after the last time," he said, standing beside her while she crafted a sandwich, "every blind date you have ever set me up on has been an absolute bust. The last guy you set me up with was from some random planet in the outer rim and he was an absolute asshole. I'm done with blind dates Padmé  I'll either find someone the old fashioned way or die alone."

     She scoffed at him and rolled her eyes. "Don't be so dramatic. And I know that in the past my match making abilities haven't exactly been up to par, but this time I am confident that you two are going to hit it off perfectly."

     "Well it doesn't matter, because I'm not going." He grabbed up his book off the counter and turned back toward the living room, but stopped when she called after him.

     "Remember when I said you didn't have a choice?" His shoulders tensed but he didn't turn, he already knew what was coming and he wasn’t pleased. "I already arranged the date with him. Show up at the movie theater downtown at five, your movie starts at five-thirty and I already booked the tickets, they're in your email. He'll meet you in front of the concession stand, so just sit at one of the tables there and he'll find you. And after that I made a reservation for you two at Lamara's for around eight, the reservation is under Skywalker. But if the movie runs late I know the owner and already told him there was a chance you might not show up on time, so he said he'll hold the table for you until nine."

     "Padmé this is crazy! You can't just set me up on a date and make all these plans without telling me." He turned to face her, face red and flustered, a bit angry. "Just call him and cancel, and I'll pay you back for the tickets"

     "I can't, there's not enough time to cancel." Anakin breathed a heavy sigh and closed his eyes. "The date’s today, in two hours actually,” she glanced down at her watch, “so you should go shower and get ready because he'll be waiting for you at the theater.”

     He was ready and out the door of his apartment within an hour, with Padmé rushing him out the door and reminding him to sit near the concession stand. Within fifteen minutes of that he was in the designated meeting area and waiting, nervously, for this mystery man to show up. And he realized that's exactly what he was, a complete mystery. Padmé had only given him instructions on where to meet him, but she hadn't told him anything about this guy. He had no clue what he looked like, what he'd be wearing so Anakin could pick him out of the crowds, he didn't even know his name. But Anakin still sat there and waited. In fact, he waited for half an hour and no one had even so much as glanced over at him. 

     “Padmé,” he sighed into the phone, glad she'd picked up after only a few rings, “this guy still hasn't shown up yet and I've been sitting here for almost an hour now. What does he even look like? Maybe he's sitting here and I don't even know it. Better yet, what's his name?”

     “Just trust me Anakin, he will find you, just stay sitting right where you are.”

     “Or he's not showing up at all, maybe he chickened out.” He scanned the lobby of the theater again, still not seeing anyone who was looking as lost as he was.

     “He'll be there, I promise.”

     “He better be. And by the way, if this doesn't work out as spectacularly as you think it's going to, then no more blind dates.” He heard her chuckle on the other end of the phone and mutter something along the lines of, ‘there won't need to be’, before he hung up the phone.

     Anakin sat and continued to wait and still found himself alone, even long after the time Padmé said his mystery man was supposed to meet him. He sat at the table until almost quarter to six, the movie had already started, and Anakin was ready to throw in the towel. Obviously mystery man wasn't coming and Anakin couldn't blame him. He hated blind dates. Who in their right mind wanted to willingly spend a night with someone they had never met before? He certainly didn't, so he couldn't exactly blame this guy for not showing up. 

     He snatched his phone from the table and jammed it back in his pocket. Next time Padmé insisted on setting him up, he was putting his foot down. 

     He was just about to stand up when two bags of popcorn and a tray of drinks were set on the table in front of him. Anakin looked up, confused, and just tilted his head at the man standing in front of him. 

     “I don't think you're the person I’m supposed to be waiting for.” Anakin looked the man over. He was dressed in a more formal looking version of the uniforms the theater employees wore, his hair was longer, just touching the tops of his shoulders and brushed back away from his face, beard neatly trimmed. He was handsome, very handsome and certainly Anakin's type. He wished he was the mystery man he was waiting for, but based on the uniform he was wearing he was clearly there for work. Anakin's next curiosity was why he was bringing him popcorn and drinks.

     “No,” the man chuckled, “no, unfortunately I am not.” If Anakin wasn't already taken by the man's looks, his voice had him completely gone. “I just couldn't stand to see you sitting here alone and miserable for a moment longer. I'm assuming you were stood up?”

     “Yeah,” Anakin sighed and slumped down further in his chair, “it was a blind date and obviously the guy didn't feel like showing up. I feel like such an idiot.”

     “If you ask me, the only idiot is the guy who stood you up.” Anakin perked up at that and he found it hard to hide the blush creeping up his cheeks. “But clearly his loss will be my gain. I’m Obi-Wan by the way, Obi-Wan Kenobi.”

     “Anakin Skywalker,” he answered as he reached out and took Obi-Wan’s outstretched hand.

     “Well, Anakin, it would be my honour to escort you on a proper date, if you'll have me?” All Anakin could manage in his dumbstruck state was a slight nod of his head. “What movie were you supposed to be seeing?”

     “Uh…” He quickly pulled out his phone and searched for the tickets in his email. “A movie called ‘Chasing Shadows’.”

     Obi-Wan nodded his head. “Our newest romance film, perfectly appropriate for a first date.”

     “Except it started thirty minutes ago.”

     “And that is where my job comes in very handy, dear one.” Anakin flushed a deeper shade at the easy use of the endearment. “As manager of the theater I have access to the private rooms in the back that are only meant for special viewings.”

     Anakin sat a little straighter in his chair, leaning forward a bit toward Obi-Wan. “Really?”

     “Yes, now come.” He held out his hand to Anakin who took it and let Obi-Wan lift him from the chair. “I will show you the way, one of my employees is already there waiting for my word on which film to play on the projector.”

     Anakin took the popcorn bag and drink that Obi-Wan offered him and followed the man through the theater and down a back hallway. Obi-Wan unlocked a door and let Anakin into a room with a few short rows of chairs and a fair sized screen. Anakin sat in the middle row while Obi-Wan spoke off to the side with the theater employee who was going to start the movie for them, and once they were finished Obi-Wan joined him and the movie started not long after.

     Normally Anakin wasn't one for cheesy romance movies, but he had to admit this one wasn't half bad, and probably made better since he actually had some decent company this time. Since it was just the two of them in the small viewing room they were able to talk, comment on the movie and laugh as loud as they wanted. Halfway through the movie when they had both already devoured their popcorn and the movie was just starting to get into the heated parts of the romance, Anakin took a chance to glance over at the man beside him. He’d taken off his blazer and unbuttoned the top few buttons on his dress shirt, revealing a patch of auburn chest hair that Anakin was itching to run his fingers through, and the tight fit of the dress shirt left nothing to Anakin's imagination. He could see the outline of trimmed abs beneath, broad shoulders that Anakin wished he could be wrapped in. Obi-Wan honestly made him forget he was actually supposed to be meeting someone else. 

     He brought his eyes back to the screen as the couple in the film came together for their first kiss. It gave him butterflies while he watched the scene so close to Obi-Wan, something he'd certainly never felt on any of the past blind dates Padmé had set him up on, but he decided to take a chance on the feeling. He leaned slowly to the side, first pressing his arm along Obi-Wan’s and testing the waters. When he didn't pull away, Anakin shifted in his seat and pressed even closer to him, shuffling so his head was able to lay on Obi-Wan’s shoulder.

     Obi-Wan chuckled fondly, a deep rumbling in his chest that had Anakin’s butterflies fluttering intensely, and lifted his arm to wrap around Anakin's shoulders and pulled him in. They watched the rest of the movie like that, with Anakin tucked into Obi-Wan’s side with his head rested on his chest, and Obi-Wan’s strong arm around him. Anakin felt comfortable and safe, in a way he'd never felt with anyone else before, and for the first time on any of his blind dates he didn't want it to end. 

     But it eventually did, with the final scene in the movie of course bringing to two star crossed lovers together in a happy ending. Unfortunately for Anakin it meant he would now unfortunately be leaving Obi-Wan, probably never to see him again since this was all because Anakin had been stood up. So who was to blame him if he held onto Obi-Wan a little longer as the credits rolled.

     "Dear one?" Obi-Wan squeezed Anakin's shoulder with his hand and Anakin snapped up and out of Obi-Wan’s space. He probably wanted to leave, he had just finished a shift and then stayed to take Anakin on a pity date. He shouldn't have kept him like that.

     "I'm so sorry!" Anakin blurted, but his eyes were averted and he missed Obi-Wan’s concerned gaze. "I’m sure you want to go home, you've been here for so long already. I shouldn't have made you stay at work because my stupid blind date didn't show up."

     "There is no need to apologize, Anakin, I wanted to stay here with you and quite frankly I am very glad that I did." Anakin's mouth dropped open into a silent 'oh' as Obi-Wan continued with a gentle smile. "I was only going to ask if you were hungry, perhaps you'd like to join me for dinner?"

     Anakin was shocked to say the least, he’d thought for sure he was being dismissed by Obi-Wan. "I…" He stuttered, finding it hard to force the words past the sudden onslaught of chills running through his body. "I-oh! I actually have reservations at Lamara's. It was supposed to be for the blind date I was supposed to meet, but I say we go and enjoy ourselves since he didn't show." He quickly looked down at his watch. "If we leave now we can make it."

     "That sounds lovely." Obi-Wan stood and grabbed his jacket then turned and offered Anakin a hand up. He stared at Anakin for a moment and he was caught completely in Obi-Wan’s gaze, but he didn't mind one bit. Then Obi-Wan hummed, sending an all new kind of thrill through Anakin, before he tucked Anakin's arm into his own and said, "His loss has been most certainly my gain."

     They arrived just in time for the reservation Padmé set up. Their waiter led them to a fairly secluded table off to the side, set up with rose petals and candles. They ordered and their food arrived fairly quickly, and while they ate they happily chatted.

     "Tell me, dear one, how did you end up sitting in the theater lobby alone?" Obi-Wan asked, the endearment had become more used as the night went on, and Anakin did not mind one bit. "Who would set you up with someone who was going to bail on you?"

     "My friend, who I've known for years and has the best of intentions, doesn't always have the best taste when it comes to these kinds of things," Anakin chuckled, "and even though I wasn't exactly happy about her setting me up on this blind date, I'm kind of glad she did, and that whoever they were didn't show up."

     "As am I," Obi-Wan smiled over the rim of his wine glass, "this night has gone very well. I never expected I would have met someone as wonderful as you in such a way."

     "You mean because you felt bad for me."

     Obi-Wan laughed along with Anakin. "I suppose that's one way to put it, dear one, but I just could not let you leave looking so incredibly sad. Your beautiful face should always be graced with a smile." Anakin smirked and this time didn't care to hide the pink in his cheeks. "The blush is cute too."

     Once they finished their meals and sat for a while talking over another glass of wine, Obi-Wan waved down the waiter. "Unfortunately all good things have to come to an end, I'll get the check, dear one."

     "What? No, I'll get it," Anakin said, "I invited you here, so it's my treat."

     "On the contrary," Obi-Wan shook his head, already pulling out his wallet to beat Anakin to the punch, "I invited you to dinner, you merely had a reservation pre-booked."

     "But I-"

     "Excuse me, Sir’s?" They both turned and looked up to their waiter. "Your meal has actually already been paid for."

     "By who?" Anakin asked, and they both followed the waiters gesturing hand to find a familiar face hovering by the podium at the entrance.

     Obi-Wan peered over as well, confused as he asked, "What on earth is Padmé doing here?"

     Anakin's head snapped back to Obi-Wan, eyes wide. "You know Padmé?!"

     "Yes, we've actually been friends for years." Anakin was too stunned to even speak, and they both turned back to watch as she waved to them with a smug smile on her face, before she turned and left. 

     Obi-Wan was the first to break the silence that had fallen over them, and turned back to face Anakin. "My dear," he mused once he had put the pieces together, "I do believe we have been bamboozled."

     Anakin finally gave in and laughed, running a hand down his face. Of course Padmé would do this, go through all these ridiculous hoops to bring him and Obi-Wan together. God, he loved her so much.

     "Yeah, I think you're right. She is far too ingenious for her own good." Obi-Wan merely raised his glass in agreement. "Hey, Obi-Wan, would… would you be interested in doing this again?"

     "Are you asking me on a second date, dear one?"

     Anakinn nodded, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "I think it went really well, and I have really enjoyed our time together. I was also thinking that next time we could go on a proper date, maybe at a place where you don't work."

     He smiled at him and reached over the table to take his hand, gently running his thumb along the back of it. "I would love that." He lifted Anakin's hand and softly kissed it, then added, "thank goodness for Padmé."

     "You know she's never going to let us forget that she's the one who brought us together, right."

     "Oh I know, dear one, I definitly know."

     Anakin had a feeling that this time Padmé was right, he wouldn't be needing anymore blind dates.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I LOVE to respond to comments! Granted I do sometimes get a little overwhelmed with all of the praise and don't always know what to say right away, but I still always do my best to respond.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

This was a tough choice, but ima have to say "Shattered." It was a Supernatural vent fic I wrote after my grandfather passed back in 2020.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Uhhhh... I can't decide lmao. I feel like I have WAY too many to choose from. 😅

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I've been very fortunate not to get much at all tbh. The only time I received blatant hate was on my Criminals Minds fic. Some anti was "triggered" by the breastfeeding in that fic, even tho they were forewarned by the tags what the story contained. 😑😒

9. Do you write smut?

Sure do~! Not a lot of it, but the ones I have written are pretty stellar, if I do say so myself. 😏

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Not yet, but I actually have one in the works currently: a 9-1-1/9-1-1: Lone Star agere crossover with Little!Buck and Little!TK (and daddies Bobby and Owen, of course).

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Unfortunately, yes. Twice. From the same person.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yup! A couple of them. It's been so long tho, so I can't remember which ones they were. I think one or two were Black Butler, and one or two were Supernatural.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, but I would like to one day.

14. What's your all time favorite ship?

Wincest and Sebaciel. I can't just choose one of them lol.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I'm staying confident that I'll eventually get all of my WIPs done lol.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I suppose that would be my ability to I guess really get into the head of the character I'm writing; like when it comes to their dialogue and the way they think and act in certain situations. Especially when it's a character from a show I really like and have watched multiple times over.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Describing shit. I've been complimented on it before, but from my perspective it's never all that great in my eyes. I also have a bad habit of comparing myself to other writers I look up to, so maybe that's really where my true weakness lies. I'm trying to better myself in that area, but it's easier said than done. 😮‍💨

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I don't do it often, but when I'm writing Latin characters or characters of another Nationality/language I like to have them use nicknames from their language to have them refer to their children or partners as. It's really fun and also gives the character a more authentic feel to them.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Black Butler.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

I feel like I've had many favorites, but the first that comes to mind is my Black Butler fic "Fatherly Love." It's one that I hold a great deal of pride for, and even tho it was originally written during a rough time in my life, I still have a lot of good memories from that time too. Specifically the days and nights I would spend on here in the DMs talking with my best friend about it and throwing ideas/headcanons back and forth with each other.

For the past week or so, I've been logging in to Disney Dreamlight Valley again (after a 2 month hiatus 😅). They have a "Haunted Holiday Star Path" event going on right now. When it comes to games I genuinely like, I do actually have fomo and I hate it, lol. So, here I am 🙃

I've been playing a bit of catch up. Like, they added Beauty and the Beast! That was my favorite OG Disney movie growing up. And then Mulan came along and I was like !!! Okay now those two are my favorites (because I couldn't decide between the two).

I also finally watched the live action Beauty and the Beast for the first time. It's been out for a while now, I know... I'm just slow when it comes to watching movies or anything on tv. In my opinion it was very well done! I'm not a harsh critic though.

I also watched the live action Little Mermaid and I really loved it. It gave the characters so much more depth, and displayed more marine creatures than I thought they would have. The actors put so much life and emotion into their vocals in their songs, I was very impressed.

And I touch on this a bit below, but being an octo-nerd, there were things about Ursula that they added to the movie, that was not in the original, and I was like holy crap! I wonder how many people are going to catch onto that? It's when she's shuffling through her ingredient cabinets to create one of her concoctions and her 'arms' (she refers to them as 'tentacles', probably because younger audiences will be like ??? if she says arms, but the correct term is actually 'arms'). They are acting independently from her because octopuses have nine brains. One brain in each arm and one in the mantle (head). So each arm thinks for itself. When she says she can't find anything, everything always gets lost, it's probably because her eight arms are putting things back on the shelves however they please and her main-brain (mantle i.e. head) isn't paying attention to keep track of it all 😅

Okay- weird thing that I complain about often to my friends cause we all play this, and unrelated to the live action movie. Eric, in this game, stalks me, and it's flippen weird. I think everyone who plays this has a character that stalks them though, as if it's in the programming and it's RNG of who it is. I say that because I'll go to Twitch and watch it happen to streamers, and they'll make comments about their 'stalker'. It's just somehow my 'stalker' ended up being Eric 🤷🏻‍♀️. For some, it's Kristoff. Others, it's Maui. I dunno... it's weird.

(For the record, I know they're all programmed to come and find you, but I mean- in this case, there's ONE specific character that follows you WAY MORE than usual.)

Anyone who knows me, knows I have this obsession with the Ocean (also space) and octopuses, and jellyfish... hence why I have the Ursula attire (she's the Octo Queen!). Her quest line, should you put out the moonstones and buy her bundle, is worth it imo, but I'm also biased as heck. I just find it ironic that I'm literally dressed like Ursula 2.0 and Eric stalks me more than half the time I'm in-game, lol 😓. The sound of his flute puts me in that state of like 🙀 -startled cat, eyes wide, looking everywhere, ducking behind furniture-

Ariel, go pay more attention to your man plskthx. I will give it to the live action production for the movie. The actor who plays Eric is handsome and plays the role well 👌🏻 (doesn't make me wanna hide any less though in-game 😑)

I totally veered off course of why I'm writing this post. My rambling is getting worse, akjdhjs.

SO. The star path...!

Last year when we got the first Halloween star path, if memory serves, I recall it not having any Tim Burton, The Nightmare Before Christmas items at all and being really bummed out about it. I figured it was because they couldn't get a contract signed, permission, copyright something or other. The game was still very new afterall.

There's a biome in DDLV named the Forgotten Lands and it's mostly purple hues. I knew the aesthetics would be perfect for The Nightmare Before Christmas if I just waited for it... and now this year a handful of items are in the Star Path event. I've been so ready.

Oh, and we also get... !!

And the great thing about this game is, we're just going to continue to get even more fun items and grow as the game develops. We also have the Christmas Star path coming up, at some point. Wonder if there's going to be some interesting items in that 🤔

Welcome to my blog!

I've seen other people do this so I thought of doing one for myself, as I can certainly fit much more information on a post than the top bar thing on your page.

I do art for fun and my main goal at the moment is to improve my digital art. I do comics, fanarts and doodle sheets of OCs, but there tends to be an irregular pattern of how I do this, especially when I get into a particular game or series and do a hundred fanarts and nothing else (lol).

My favourite games are Hollow Knight, Nine Sols, Bo Path of the Teal Lotus, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Dead Cells, Neva and a few I'm most likely missing out. I enjoy metroidvania style games, but there are some excuses because I also like games like the Spyro trilogy and Rayman Legends.

I also do a lot of series fanarts: Steven Universe, some httyd (I know, that's a movie), Amphibia, and I will do some fanarts of other series I like every now and then. When I really get into particular things I will probably draw lots and lots on it, until my ideas run out on that topic.

All the art I do is because I enjoy doing it very much. Drawing is my favourite thing ever, and I tend to do it on a day to day basis. (No, I WILL do it on a day to day basis lol - I can't remeber the last day I didn't draw anything.)

I have started a comic for fun, one which I have been planning and working on for around a year now, and for it being my first big personal project I'd say it's going pretty well. I don't know if I'll ever post pages on here, honestly. I might start one day, but it'll probably be mid-comic because I started making pages last June when I wasn't on Tumblr yet. I draw the characters quite a lot because they're some of my only consistent OCs I tend to interact with so hopefully with enough posts on them I'll be able to properly explain who they are, as I haven't figured out how I want to do that here yet.

I get inspired by A LOT of artsits. When I started drawing digitally a few years ago, I found artists I liked by looking at fan artists. I still only find artists through their fanart. When I like an artist very much, I find out that a small bit of their style has been weaved into mine. I get inspired pretty easily, as long as the subject really satisfies me (of course lol). Ever since I started digital art, I cannot believe how many artists have inspired me and helped me become better.

Oh yeah, there's a lot of art I did in the past that I really love and want to post here, so every now and then I may post an old drawing when I have art block or something. However I can't guarantee a prescise date will be on them, so you can check my DeviantArt for drawings I did in the past that are also in order.

My drawings will always (if I can remeber) be tagged with "my art :D", which will show posts with my drawings, of course. I don't really reblog at the moment, but I may start in the future - I don't know. My OCs will have their own tags so you'll be able to see all the art I've done with that character there, and any fanarts will be tagged with the game/series so if you want to see if I do fanarts on a certain thing, you can check on there.

Comics will be under the tag comic I'm pretty sure (if I ever post comics here), blah blah blah - you get the idea.

On some of my posts or sketchdumps, I can be chatty - just thought I'd point that out lol.

Unfortunately, I only do requests, art trades, collabs and anything related to that with my friends.

I use Clip Paint Studio! I recently upgraded to the EX/PRO so my tablet is all sorts of spiced up with pretty brushes, I've been having a lot of fun with them! If you also use this program, I can recommend you some!

That depends on how much I know you and your characters. I'm very picky with that, and for good reason. The last time I had my characters shipped they were abused. So I'm rather paranoid!

Depends, what game? I LOVE games but my computer is very crappy, so if it's a console game I should be able to handle it! It just has to be something I either have or can have. Otherwise I might struggle with it. Sorry!

How often do you post?

Quite often. But it varies from place to place. On deviantart, it's more often than here, but sometimes I can get art block and take a week or two.

Are you okay with offers on your characters?

Only for the ones that are available for offers! I love my characters, they're my babies! But there ARE some that I would be willing to give up and sell, and those you can find on my toyhouse! If they are labeled as up for offer, you're more than welcome to ask about them!

Do you do pings?

Yeah, I'm okay with those. Sometimes I don't pay attention to my messages, so it helps! Though if you do so over and over, it can be rather annoying. I promise I will get back to you at some point, otherwise it's... most likely my notifications just haven't told me for some reason. It's done that before. (；￣Д￣）
