Welcome to my new hyperfixation: To Be Hero X.

The premise so far is interesting. Heroes are people whose ability to gain powers is based on what the world thinks of you.

Going into spoilers

Nice's suicide shows that he was tired of the hero lifestyle because people like Miss J basically capitalize on making everything sellable.

You see Wreck and Moon hate that they're bound to contracts that give them no freedom.

Lin Ling only sees the commercial side of it. Has only been in marketing and was sold the lies of being a hero. Hell, he is currently living the lie because he looks like Nice.

He's enamored because he would've taken his own life if Nice didn't basically hand him a new life card. So, right now everything is a net positive. We saw no one mourning his actual death (or maybe we were also fed that lie), so it looks like he had no one, which makes him the perfect candidate.

Moon's fans allowed her freedom. Nice had Wreck, but were denied access to each other.

So far Lin Ling is on his own, so I wonder how long it'll take for him to remove the rose colored glasses. Or if he even will.

I'm rambling at this point, but if X looks different from his hero form, what caused this salaryman to have limitedless powers? Cause he's so interesting.

Continuing with the Percy Jackson hyper fixation, because these books had been my obsession for almost 15 years, I am so happy with this adaptation. And I know it isn’t perfect and that it doesn’t follow the books events religiously, but it is so a well though and written series.

The Lighting Thief came out almost 20 years ago, and in all that time Rick probably received a lot of feedback, along with his own thoughts on what could had been improved, what could had been added and what was already great… and he took all that information to write this series. Because every change from details to scenes, adds so much more to the story and adapts to the modern society – i.e. saying that Medusa is a survivor instead of outright calling her a monster; the acknowledgement on how bad and abusive the relationship between the gods and their kids is.

Not to mention the fantastic job the cast is doing; they are these characters, and they know them so well. Episode 5 is probably my favorite so far, because it did such an amazing job portraying all the characters personalities and personal traits.

As I said, it may not be perfect, but it is one of the greatest adaptations I have seen of a book.

helena eagan whose destiny from birth was to be the future serene and placid face of lumon, who never once wavered from that path, even getting severed to prove her commitment to kier's vision, watching her innie be imperfect, impulsive, unsure, freely and openly affectionate and then receive affection and concern in turn with no strings attached.......yeah baby i'd rewind that security footage too

I'm jumping off a bridge. Their backstory is so tragic, I can't.

The fact that even Queenie being in the state she was, Kinger still found humanity in her, the fact that he risked his life knowing she could go crazy and attack him just so he could touch her one last time.

And the fact that Queenie allowed him to do it, the fact that she was able to keep control as a abstracted just so she could feel him. Because she loved him and he loved her back and both of them knew her fate, but in that moment, it was just them, their last moment together so both made it work.

This is such a powerful image I want to hug both of them.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood simply already did that a decade ago. If it's you or them surviving, you might as well try stabbing an immortal being through the mouth and simply not stop punching it until it dissolves or light something on fire until it can't regenerate anymore or freeze it solid and deal with it in the spring. And then they just did that, and fuck. Kinda worked, you know?
