I might make an miraculous AU where mari is a saintess and theres like magic and shit and adriens like a crown prince or something i was doodling this all in my notebook today and finished maris so yeah!!!

(edit) bonus:

lilas still lying (context in this would be mari, as a saintess, helps a village by curing it similar to her miraculous ladybug, and lila claims that it was her doing and mari overhears it and is likw wtf. idk im just my brain is rotting and i need something for it to rot on..)

heres my extra rant:

I guess this is all in the same universe and it’s a historical one? But I made her clothes too modern-esque so it’s like that’s getting partially thrown out the window. It just suited her and I feel like she has a futuristic type of fashion. Lila is a commoner while Mari is a priestess/monk sort of vibes where she studied magic and shit and is a really good saintess. She can cure and do martial arts, but she’s also clumsy when it comes to it. She’s also not super communicative, but she’s smart and strategic. She only steps up when she’s needed to be, and I guess the growth would be she gets more and more confident because she was always capable to begin with.

#ask #coming undone #i think my style of writing has really improved since in some places #i notice some issues with the tense. i switch in some places #which isnt usually something i struggle with now unless the line of thinking would be more coherent in present #which is me intentionally breaking the rules so i see it as different #i might actually go through cu and fix that at some point because it bothers me and its an easy fix lolol #but overall i think i really hit my stride with ch2 of it ... i remember REALLY liking how it came out #and ngl getting to reread it from a more detached perspective now that its been a bit #its very cozy despite the kind of heavy situation #i love cathartic hurt/comfort i need to make morreeee (ignores that most of cw was that)#and im happy to see that my writing has tangibly improved in little ways now that ive been doing it consistently #its harder to track improvement with writing in contrast to visual art #im excited to see where i go from here. i cant resist the urge to constantly outdo myself #anyways you guys should talk to me about cu more .... i like it :)#its not as tightly packed with parallels and symbolism and emotional chekhovs guns(? best way i can put it honestly) as CL is #but i still really like the way i explored donnie's character there #cu donnie was still kind of gutted for all he was worth but still cc donnie WISHES that could be him LMFAOOOO #he got it so much easier honestly

just a lil bit of a share ! i’ve been feeling really down lately about not writing that much 🥲 and keeping up with posting more frequently/updating a few of my series more regularly 🥲 but i looked at my masterlists and noticed almost 60% of my fics are actually from this year and we’re only half-way in 🥺

anyway ! the point of this is, if you’re being too hard on yourself today, i hope you’re reminded that you’re doing much better than you think 🥺

#i always feel a little disappointed in myself when it comes to my writing pace bc i rlly wish i could write faster !!#i have all these events (that i do plan on finishing and getting through! i will be true to my word!!)#and long/big fics that i had high hopes for but have not gotten to yet #and while i still hope to write faster i think i’m still pretty happy with the progress i’ve made so far 🥺#i’ve explored tons of different characters (which was really intimidating for me at the start!)#and i kind of also found my style~ 🥺 which im really happy abt!#still loads of exploration to do but yes 🥺 slowly trying to get back into the writing grind 🥺#working on collab pieces with niku and working my way through my ficsforgaza fics!#while also trying to edit and reupload my iwaizumi series 🥺#anyway this is also why i havent been on the dash much / in inboxes / or interacting as much 😭#it’s kind of how i discipline myself (?) like. when i need to focus on writing i limit scrolling as much as i can 🥲#i talked so much again

for like 3 weeks i was wondering why i was sleeping so much and felt listless. and just now I managed to email 3 people and responded to a month old message in the span of an hour because I got back to TAKING MY FUCKIN MEDS..........

#MOTHER FFFFUCKER #to be fair. my doc said I could stop taking them while im on break since i wouldnt need to be constantly pumped on stimulants #im not sure if it was a side effect but i managed to take like 3 different naps in one day and STILL managed to sleep thru the whole night #at least 2 days into my break. the weird thing is i didnt feel more or less rested afterwards. but mentally i think im in a good place rn #to really put the level of awakeness im at rn i feel weirdly confident i could start one piece. also bc of that sick new opening it BANGS #the song is really good and im in love with the animation style. did some digging and it seems one of the lead animators is masato mori #but i could be wrong. it seems he also did some work on mp100 which could explain a lot lol.. he uses smear frames really well to convey #consistent movement and fluidity!!! someone else might have done color design but it works really really well esp with odas style!!#just love the overall vibe and aesthetic and id really love to study it and incorporate a bit of it into my art.. especially the thick #outlines which i think helps to separate characters and objects on screen. though i have to say the style is definitely more suited to #animation bc of the simpleness and smears. maybe that will help me explore shapes and perspective when i draw... i wanna get better #at drawing poses and angles but i have a hard time wrapping my head around space and using perspective guide lines NGHHHH #i wonder if it has to do with my dogshit ability to judge distance. not depth perception but like. judge how far smth is in metres etc #im also wearing an N95 for the first couple weeks back bc of the wave. absolutely NO BODY is wearing a mask its so fucking over #where im sitting ive heard 5 different people coughing probably not into their elbows!!! and im just. head in my fucking hands #there was a kid sitting a couple seats away in class coughing as he pleases and i wanted to grab him in a chokehold so badly. PLEASEE #ive been annoying my family by asking them to mask up and reminding them to bring masks when they go out and showing them news articles #but at least its working bc we ordered some KN95s and my mom is at least taking me seriously so. please dont be afraid to speak up abt your #health. take care of yourself and others however u can!! wear that mask indoors at your maskless friends house!!! stay home when u can!!#im wearing a surgical mask at home too bc my parents have '''a dry throat cough''' and they are so bad at coughing into their sleeves #also im pretty sure dry throat isnt transmissible bc my brother started coughing too so.. i also tested negative but they havent tested yet #im also not a doctor but i have to keep reminding ppl whenever i can that covid and flu work differently. covid is new and too recent to #have nearly as much research done on it. it seems its also compounding so instead of building immunity it weakens the body and spreads to #to other systems which might explain brain fog and muscle weakness. i remember someone early in the pandemic got infected and it messed up #their smell/taste receptors so bad that they cant eat most foods and that stays in the front of my mind when i think abt covid. christ #yapping

Sometimes I like to think abt how the Siffrins would fair in eachother's loops (well moreso their varying lengths and rules) and I have to stop because I think abt either Siffrin having to rebuild their relationships with the rest of their parties from scratch and I start trembling

#rat rambles #new game+#stars posting #isat spoilers #isatfrin would be soooo fucked in either alternative loop btw. due to my hcs on saap loops. softlocks you.#saapfrin is an interesting one to think abt for me because if its still loop guiding them thats well one more of a thing for loop and two #its hard to say exactly how helpful loop could be to them considering they kind of just. have less tools to work with.#and Im sure loop wouldn't be fond of a king meat grinder part two #both of them would probably like instantly break the universe in chou style loops tho if not because of the horrors than because thatd #actively fuck with their wish and I could see that breaking some shit #in the alternative where they made more of a chou style wish tho itd just be the normal horrors probably #chou would probably be able to escape the other twos loops eventually especially if they made the same wish as them but theyd take it badly #if theyre fighting the king theyd probably get out a lot faster than if theyre fighting the light tho #the benefits of having a shielder from the get go (itd still be a rough fight but they wouldn't get into a saap situation)#although if theyre fighting the king that adds like five whole other layers to the hypothetical I dont feel like dealing with rn #Im mostly interested in saapfrin getting a genuine shot at succeeding because I <3 exploring timeline differences #isatfrin is unfortunately the least interesting one in these scenarios to me because theyre kinda just fucked either way #ofc saapfrin would also just completely and utterly fall apart in chou's loops but isatfrin having to deal with floor checkpoints would #fuck him over So bad while saapfrin would benifit a lot from not having checkpoints and also having a guide #again in my hcs theyd still have less options (for example little hope of finding out abt the secret library) but itd be doable I think

my fav thing at work is when i tell someone to do somethin and then they nod and theyre like yeahhh maybe thatll help, and then they dont do it at all and the prof comes by and says the same thing i did

#i do not mean when u dont know how to do something or ur gonna do it but get to it later #specific subset of ppl where its like #comes to class. hears lecture. sees assignment. does like the exact opposite of whats assigned bc its their process or style #i get the like oouugh art school is going to beat creativity out of u fear #but like it is not a huge ask to ask u to paint the still life IN FRONT OF YOU instead of taking a photo and painting the photo #or to say maybe it is worth trying to paint without pencil sketching for an hour because acrylic is opaque #and u can paint over the mistakes #i am victim to this i do this all the time in class m not better than this #me using too little paint and too much water for literal months #im just like really slow in this though or something it is hard for me to understand things working #my prof being like ‘rohan… last year i was really worried about you… but you finally are understanding color!’#😭#i have too many ideas and take too long to learn or process anything #u see it a lot in my figure drawings too 💀 i try to incorporate a new concept #and i have like a full class of really shit figures before it starts to come together #im happy with my painting tho … the concept is coming along exactly as i planned #its maybe not as nicely rendered or well done as it could be. but it reflects the inspirations i had and im happy about that #i feel like i am learning how to incorporate myself better in my work. not just in subject matter but in handling media #painting with comic panel inspired canvas pieces. heavily designed composition. large negative space. using context to explore depth #very fun. very awesome. 3 years ago i never wouldve even thought to do this or been able to execute it #very happy. yes #the gamer speaks uwu
