Ruggie knew that out of all the people in the school he’d be the last choice, the last person that you would even ever consider picking. As someone to rely on. As someone to be friends with. As someone to love him. He was just nothing, just a mere background character in the eyes of everyone, going around and doing anything to make anything. You had all these other rich, more reliable, hell, more pretty guys than him. He doesn’t have any promises he can make towards you that will always stay true, he doesn’t have any money he guarantees that can always get you what you want— what you deserve, no. None of that. What are you compared to him?

It’s a funny, thought, it’s an obvious one, too, at that. If he wants to be really unoriginal, you’re amazing, a nice person, even to someone as lowly as him. But if he wants to say something his own way, maybe that’s unique, you’re the person in his life that doesn’t try and use him, and he painfully loves you from afar, pining, waiting for a moment, that glimmer of hope that maybe you, too, liked him. But it’s only hope, right, and hope is what drives anyone, yes, but if hope is false in the end, it feels as if it was all for nothing. And if it was all for nothing…what’s the point?

He usually takes things into his own hands, trying to win over a situation so he can better from it, but when you have so many prying eyes on you at one given time, eyes that show appreciation, it makes him withdraw and holdback from trying to win your affection. It’s…not worth it. He’s not worth it, anyways…

So, to his surprise when you approached him one day, confessing your love and giving a look so earnest it almost hurt him, he didn’t know what to do. He stood there quiet, not answering, trembling even as he tried to make sense that this was real and not some imaginary thing his brain conjured up to ease the longing.

But no. He watched as you still waited by him, looking down with your hands behind your back, your legs swaying as you try and fight away the embarrassment.

“You…do you mean that or is this…”

“I mean it, Ruggie. I like you.” You murmur out. Hearing it again is like music to his ears, a sweet melody that he can listen to over and over again and not get sick of.

“Why…” is all he can manage to spit out, even mad at himself for saying it. He tries to push out more words, the phrases “I like you, too,” or, “I love you, you’re the only one,” but he can’t get the words out, all of them stuck in the back of his throat and the tip of his tongue still. But you don’t back down.

“I like you because even with all the world throws at you, you continue to do great things and…it inspires me in a way. Plus, we all do what we have to do. Does love need to be defined to a reason? Or can’t I just love you…for you?”

He pauses. His mind stops working to put pieces together, and he can’t help his tail that begins to sway with betrayed happiness and yearning. He shakes his head, still in disbelief, but when you look at him like that, so sweetly, your eyes filled with that love and appreciation he seen others looking at you with, he breaks, his walls crumble down and he finally gets out what he’s been wanting to share since the start.

“I like you, too, Prefect.” He murmurs out, looking down quickly, keeping from making any eye contact. Your arms wrap around him, he flinches at first from the unfamiliar touches, but he hugs you back, tight, like he’s hoarding something he found first and shielding it away from everyone else so only he can indulge and enjoy it. Typically for a hyena.

Ruggie knew that out of all the people in the school, you chose him, the last person he thought you’d pick, not for anything he has, but just for him, just for Ruggie Bucchi, and no other strings attached.

He may not have anything, no grandiose amounts of money, but he feels brand new now, bettered and rejuvenated with that hope he hidden away but is now able to bring it back out again. He feels like he’s gained all the riches in the world. You.

You all sit bundled up in comfy coats. The crisp winter air whistling in the wind while you and your friends laugh up a storm. Your eyes find this one girl's eyes immediately though. Ellie Williams. “It's getting late, I should start back home.” Her hand plays with the back of her ear while she talks. You notice that she only did that when she was nervous. Why would she be nervous right now?

“Yeah, I would like that.” As much as you hated being alone with Ellie, you loved spending time with her. Even if she didn't see you like that. It was just nice to be around her. Watching the way her eyes light up as she talks about her favorite video games or comic books, is worth the nervousness. As you guys walk to Ellie's apartment, you talk about anything under the sun. The conversation just seems to flow. Fuck, another reason to fall in love with her. (as if you weren't already) You didn't want to pretend you wanted to be her friend any longer. Because the truth is. You don't wanna be her friend, you wanna kiss her lips. 

“You're a really good friend, you know that?” She turns to look at you as you approach her apartment. ‘Friend.’ Just another reminder on how she thinks of you. Just a friend. Nothing more. Nothing less. And that will probably never change. You are fully convinced you and Ellie were meant to just be friends. 

“Mhm yeah, you deserve it ellie.”

“I mean it though. How'd I get so lucky with you, huh?” You giggle, as if that comment didn't just set your heart on fire. Your eyes find her lips. The icy air makes your breath visible. The same breath you wanted to be lost in a kiss with ellie. You wanna kiss her until you lose your breath. As you and Ellie walk up the steps of her complex you contemplate telling her how you feel. Tell her how you think about her. Beg her to just look at you the same. And just as you are about to spill your feelings out, Ellies phone rings. 

“Sorry its cat, I gotta take this. Thanks for walking me home though! See you Friday?”  And with that you're left at the steps of her home. Watching as she gets all giddy to talk to another girl. A girl that's not you. And that never will be. You and Ellie will never be more than friends. Even if you wanna be her girlfriend. With teary eyes you wave goodbye while her back is faced to you. Watching her walk away without a proper goodbye. This can't be real. It's all just a dream. Your heart shatters. Completely. You knew that You and Ellie would never date. But thats confirmation just fucked you over. You lose your breath.

Sooooo my first kdrama of this year is King The Land and OMG IT'S SO CUTE HELP-

I started watching kdramas last year and the ones I've seen yet are: Hometown Cha Cha Cha, The Glory, Destined With You, Perfect Marriage Revenge, The Good Bad Mother, Alchemy Of Souls, My Lovely Liar (not completed) and Guardian (also not completed)

There might be spoilers under the break so

Gu Won is sooooooo cute. Going from hating Sarang's smile in the first or some ep to needing to make her smile on ep 4? Or 5 maybe idk but yea. I think this is the first kdrama I've seen where they both have like, an actual date so early on (it was a date, i will refuse to believe anything else). Plus i think it's also the first kdrama where the relationship development has mostly been fluffy and not angsty. I feel like it's gonna get angsty? Idk. But i feel like Gu Won and Sarang are like the typical grumpy-sunshine trope.

I love the fact that Sarang actually has besties that support her and listen to her and they have a realistic friendship? Like for me, personally, I haven't rly seen realistic friendships, might also be because i haven't seen that many, but this is the first kdrama where I've seen girl besties just be comfy with each other, healthy jealousy, randomly starting to party and all the other things. Friendship goals fr. I just hate how her colleagues treat her. Like ok y'all studied and shit and came up but that doesn't mean that she just got lucky. She put in her effort and hard work into her job, so she got recognised and promoted. I think the thing with Sarang is that she actually wants to do her job and enjoys it, while the others just do it cause they need money.

Anyway, but they're sooo cute together. Also, the OSTs. All kdramas have banger OSTs but man, this one wins for me. I love the songs and I love how the timing is accurate. I'm prolly gonna add it to my playlist.

Also, Gu Won's mom either died and noone told him how and he was lied to by his sister(power hungry bish) or she wasn't his mom at all and was fired. Or smn else idk.

I hate how Daeul's husband isn't paying attention to his wife or house. I feel like he's cheating. Or he's just ignorant asf. Plus omg i love her daughterrrrr, she's so cute and she's so right when she's supporting her mom.

Pyung-Hwa looks perfectly nice to me, but apparently she has a dark past or smn? Idk what to expect with this character tbh she's kinda confusing to me. But I do hope there are no misunderstandings between her and Ro-Un.

Anyway so far so good, I will be screaming abt kdramas here a lot so I'm rly sorry lol.

Bucky should've been use to the nightmares by now, even though he didn't have as many, he should've been able to pull himself out of them easily like how you showed him; check for clocks, count your fingers, etc. But, this one felt so real, so different.

There was so much blood and carnage, lifeless bodies scattered a small field that he was walking through as a voice echoed in his ears; command words that he hadn't heard in so long.

He looked around at the familiar faces of the corpses, tears stinging his eyes from the memories of each of them.

"No-" his voice was strained, the lump in his throat nearly blocking the sound as he rushed to the one body that nearly tore him apart, his blood running cold.

He stumbled and tripped over bodies, repeating himself over and over. "No, no, no-" He skidded to his knees, grabbing your hand to feel for any pulse as he shoved one of the other corpses off of your legs and pulled you onto his thighs.

"Please, no." He whimpered, holding your cheeks as tears streaked his blood and dirt caked face, dropping onto yours.

Bucky's attention turned to Zemo who stood in the midst of everything, completely clean. "What did you do?!" He boomed, chest heaving with the heavy sobs. "What did you do. Soldat."

He looked back down to your face, gently shaking your head and stroking his thumb over your cheekbone. "C'mon, wake up." He sobbed, vision blurry from the uncontrollable tears rolling out.

"Please, baby! Please, wake up! Don't leave me! You said you wouldn't leave me!" Bucky croaked, a blubbering mess as he cradled your limp body in his arms and held you close to his chest.

An explosive, guttural wail ripped from his chest as he clutched onto you, his whole body shaking from the screams and weeps that tore through his throat. His pained cries and shrills loud echoing off of the trees.

He took a shaky breath and moved his hand to your stomach, shuddering before squeezing his eyes shut and repeating the same phrase like you'd told him. "It's not real, it's not real, it's not-"

Bucky jerked awake, room still dark as his hand grasped at the empty spot next to him that made panic surge through his body. "Sugar?" He called, sitting up in the bed to look around the empty room. "Sweets, where you at?" His chest started heaving when all he got was silence.

It couldn't have been real. There was no way it was real, he just saw and touched your face last night. You were right beside him, tucked into his side when he went to sleep and your spot was still warm.

The bedroom door cracked open and some relief washed over him, your form slipping into the room. "I had to pee, are you okay?" Your soothing voice said, delicate hands reaching out to cup his cheeks. "Y-yeah. I'm fine, just a bad dream, I guess. I don't remember." He lied, gently holding onto your wrists.

"Steven is gonna be up soon, lets start some breakfast. I'll make you some coffee. Okay, stud?" He nodded at your offer and swung his legs off of the bed, walking with you downstairs.

Bucky helped cook breakfast before going to his son's room, the three year old boy that was his fathers portrait; dark hair and sparkling blue eyes, a smile to match and smart as a whip thanks to the super soldier serum that coursed through his veins from you both.

"Mommy made breakfast, bud. Let's go eat." Bucky smiled, lifting the boy into his left arm before heading back downstairs. "Are you okay, daddy? You look sad." Steve frowned, holding Bucky's cheeks in his small hands. "Sad? How can I be sad when I got you and your mom?" He smiled. "Mommy gets sad sometimes."

"Well, she is growing a baby, she's allowed to get sad. It's a hard job to do."

Bucky tried to go along with his day like normal, it was only a night terror after all; it wasn't going to actually happen.

But, everytime he'd look down at the small bump of his second child growing in your belly that barely stretched the fabric of your tank top, it made his heart pound and head feel light; like he was going to pass out and throw up all at the same time.

So, after breakfast he placed a short, sweet kiss to your lips and hid away in his office for the rest of the day; the spare room with boxes in it that would be a nursery soon enough.

You didn't think anything of it at first, he hadn't been home from a mission for very long and probably had paperwork to fill out or go over. Steven had asked a couple times if his dad was going to play today and you assured him that Bucky would tomorrow.

It wasn't until bedtime when you were tucking your sleepy son into bed that you knew something was up; Bucky never missed bedtime unless he was gone for work.

"I think daddy's sad." Steven frowned, clutching the teddy bear Bucky had brought home from wakanda right before he was born; a gift from Shuri. "He's just working, honey. I'm sure he'll spend the whole day with you tomorrow to make up for it." You smiled, tucking his blanket under his legs.

"Is he thinking about Uncle Steve again?" Your sons soft sleepy voice made your heart swell, smoothing a hand over his dark hair. "He might just be, baby. But, don't you worry about that. Get some rest, we'll go to the park tomorrow."

A gentle kiss to his forehead and a click on of his nightlight, you headed to Bucky's office down the hallway.

"You okay in here?" Your eyes looked at the untouched dinner plate before Bucky who sat with his face in his hands at the desk chair. "Buck, baby. What's wrong?"

The gentle touch of your hand on the back of his neck pulled Bucky out of his miserable thoughts and back to you, his strong arms wrapping around you and cheek pressing to your stomach. "Just wanna hold you." He sniffed, a slight shake to his voice as he left a kiss to the bump of your belly.

You let him pull you onto his lap, his arms snaking around you again and head leaning against your chest so he could hear the thump of your heart. "Whats going on in that brain of yours, stud?" You asked quietly, twisting a a lock of his shorter hair around your index finger.

"I promised Steve I'd protect you and I feel like I'm doing a terrible job..." His voice was more raspy from crying most of the day away. "Terrible job?" You leaned to look at him directly, his arms tightening around your waist slightly as though he didn't want you to move away.

His red eyes and puffy cheeks broke your heart. "Bucky, look around you. What do you see?" He glanced around the room, eyes taking in every smiling photo and box that was filled with baby supplies for the upcoming addition that was months away.

"Our home..." He mumbled, relaxing into the soft circles your fingertips traced into the skin of his forearm. "Exactly, our home. Where we're gonna be raising our babies." You soothed, your voice like honey to Bucky's ears.

He shook his head, the lines between his eyebrows deepening. "You could still get hurt. All three of you. Something or someone could try to hurt you."

You pressed a kiss between his brows, feeling the tension soften a little. "I can take care of myself, but that's why I have you. Among other reasons." Bucky frowned again, shaking his head. He still couldn't get the image from the dream out of his head. "I could hurt you."

Massaging his bicep, you placed another kiss to his face. "You won't, never would."

"But, I could."

Your stern look made his features soften completely, knowing you were going to scold him for thinking such things about himself as you held his cheeks in your hands. "James Buchanan, I went 70 years without you. It's not going to happen again, okay? You're home and you're safe, with your family."

He nodded and your hands slipped back down to his shoulders. "My family." A smile tugged at his lips, he wouldn't never get tired of saying and hearing that he had a family. A growing family at that.

Another kiss was placed to the top of his head, his hand rubbing the swell of your belly; still small but big enough to tell you were pregnant and growing every day.

"My big, strong soldier is a complete softy." You said breathing a laugh. "You're stronger than me anyways, I can never do this." He smiled, feeling a soft ripple from the moving life under his hand.

Bucky was always in complete awe of you when your belly was round from carrying the babies he helped create, going every day as if it was the easiest thing to do; just touching and looking at the small bump washed the intrusive thoughts away and brought happier ones.

"I'd do everything all over again just so I can have this life with you, Bucky." Your hand sat on top of his and he looked up at you. "How's baby boy number two doing?" He grinned.

You rolled your eyes and shook your head. "I already told you, Buck. I think this one is a girl." You laughed. He shrugged lightly and looked back to your hands. "How many more we gonna have?"

"Maybe two." His eyes snapped back up to yours with furrowed eyebrows. "Two? That's it? I was thinking maybe five more." You breathed a laugh at his number and shook your head. "Oh, definitely not."

"Come on, you wouldn't like to have seven little Barnes' running around?" He joked, smile wide on his face and all terrible memories pushed away, back into the deepest corner of his mind. "We do that we'll have to get a bigger house and a school bus."

AKAASHI KEIJI x READER – BEING DUMB.. SOMETIMES

      “I am honestly tired of this.. Keiji. When will we get over it?”

       You’ve reached your limit; his behaviour was too much.       “Y/n.. come on.. you know I don’t want to make you sad.” he takes one step forward and leans in to kiss you, his hands making their way around your waist. But this whole scene was in slow motion for you, so you reacted to his kiss by turning your head to the left. It took him a few seconds to realise that he was making out with your cheek. Akaashi’s eyes were now widening in shock and his face was red from embarrassment.

      “Baby.. why won’t you let me kiss you?” Keiji looked like a sad puppy, your heart was breaking seeing him like that; but you had to teach him a lesson.      “No kisses until.. I feel like it. Hopefully this will teach you a lesson, Keiji.”       You just stepped on his heart; your kisses were the thing he loved the most.. the soft and fluffy ones, and even the rough ones. He loved the way your tongue was tangling with his in harmony.

      Hours have passed… and eventually days have passed. You were still sweet to him, you were making him dinner, breakfast, acting like the lovely perfect girlfriend, and that was the thing that made his punishment even harder. Whenever you reached for the tv remote behind him, his lips were prepared.. but for nothing. It made you internally die of laughter but sometimes it felt wrong. You also missed his lips, his touch.   -        “Listen, Bokuto-san. You have to help me, but with a smarter idea.”       “Akaaashi, trust the process. This will blow Y/n’s mind!! Don’t overthink it; she will like this.” -        You were so happy; finally your favourite Tv show was getting another season, so you were prepared with snacks and drinks, only for yourself, laying on the couch and waiting for it to begin; that was until your boyfriend got home.

      You were slowly dying at the sight of him running around the house, trying to desperately find something.       “Keiji.. are you okay baby?”       “Yeah, give me a second, I have to show you something.”       You were curious now; did he have a gift for you? or maybe bought you your favourite dessert?       Akaashi enters the room carrying his laptop. He turned off the Tv so that your attention was fully on him and he was now sitting on the table, with the laptop in his arms, facing you.      “Keiji.. come on. I was so excited to see the new seas-“     “Shut up, baby. Pay attention to this. I’ve worked my ass off so hard for this so you’ll be paying attention like a good girl.” he was dead serious.     “Wha…-“      “Let’s begin.” Akaashi was so confident; it was almost hilarious, but you were still confused.     The man was opening a whole ass PowerPoint Presentation.

          “Yeah.. did it work?”

          “Well. we’re kissing right now.” you were a happy mess and even Akaashi was red at this point. He missed your lips so much, and you missed his too. Even if the two of you lived together, this punishment was stupid, how could you do that to him and to you? But everything was alright now.

          “Yeah.. I guess being dumb really is the key of being happy.. sometimes.”

OK so story time. It's a happy one I promise

These past few days I've been doing my job as the eldest kid I'm the house by entertaining my cousins and they're like 11 12 years old ish + my younger brother. And since I'm the cool cousin in the family who simps for renjun alot and is pretty extroverted (except to that one asshole in my family. He got me grounded for a whole year never forgiving him *flips hair*)
