people make fun of the "oh you only hate her because she's a WOMAN" crazy feminist mentality but yeah actually you guys do only hate her because she's a woman a lot of times. for every hated female tv character there's ten male tv characters who are a million times worse and still given at least the "intriguing morally grey character" treatment if not straight up praise. for every hated female celebrity in real life there's one hundred famous men who have done worse and don't get half the hate she does. for every hated female politician, for every hated female historical figure, for the women you know in real life and on and on.

I love the pale garden and how it's like a parallel to dark forests. I love how the two divert expectations.
Dark forests, despite their name, are saturated and full of life. Even compared to regular forests, there's a lot more biodiversity than many of the "basic" biomes. There's three whole different trees found there, giant mushrooms, and plenty of flowers. They're one of the biomes capable of spawning a lush cave underneath it. It has its dangers just like any other overworld biome, obviously, but it's nothing overly more than anywhere else. Traversing it can be tricky sometimes and illagers may take residence in the biome's woodland mansions, but it's ultimately a very colorful and lively environment.
Opposing it is the new pale garden. Usually white and light colors are seen as pristine and good, but the pale garden takes it the opposite direction and goes right into uncanny valley territory. It has none of the color of dark forests, none of the biodiversity, none of the liveliness. It has trees and moss that look familiar, but something is off. It has a signature mob, but even the creaking is just a puppet of the trees, not really sentient, not really even plotting against anything. There's "life", but, once again, it's wrong.
I think the pale garden is a wonderful addition to Minecraft's world building as it is, but the deliberate parallel to dark forests? Delicious.

your friends drag you to a bar on your night off and you really don’t want to go but you get dressed up and have some drinks with them and loosen up. just drunk enough that it seems like such a good idea to go up to the cute older guy drinking a beer by himself at the counter. he’s not talking to anyone even though you saw a woman maybe closer to his age than yours try and approach him a while ago, but she’s talking to someone else on the other side of the bar now and he’s alone again. your friends are off with each other and probably dancing with guys born in the same decade as you all but you’ve never really found guys your age that interesting. mister broad shoulders with the crow’s feet and silver weaved into his brown hair seems like a much better option. you’re kind of drunk and he’s getting there and though you must not seem very smart, you do know that you’re very cute. somehow you end up sitting next to him, and somehow you two start talking and he doesn’t shoo you away or seem uninterested. somehow he’s laughing at your silly drunken jokes and buying you another drink but almost like he doesn’t expect anything, like he thinks your friends will call you away any second now and you’ll obviously go back to them. well, you have no idea where your friends went (nor do you care) and michael, you learn, has huge hands and radiates an aura of responsibility and respect that you are convinced means he would be nothing short of incredible in bed. somehow, after the “that’s probably not a good idea, kid,” he brings you back home with him and makes you cum until you cry and doesn’t tap out until the sun is coming up. when you wake up, you think about sneaking out but michael mumbles something about don’t even think about it, kid, and you fall back sleep. you’re not really one for one night stands but you’re sure this isn’t how they normally go. he makes you breakfast and a coffee and even though it’s a little awkward, it’s nothing compared to the horror stories from your friends. it’s even sweet, the way he gives you a hoodie to wear home after you turn down his offer—he said he could drive you home if it’s too far to walk but your friend lives nearby and she’s gonna swing by and get you and no, really, it’s no big deal. the two of you have a sheepish goodbye and you’re kind of wobbly on your feet but this was good. for both of you, for different reasons, like you both really needed that. you get in your friend’s car and she rolls her eyes and says that she can’t believe you slept with the doctor that she saw when she broke her arm but that she doesn’t blame you. you didn’t even know he was a doctor. the hoodie he gave you has some sports team logo on it, from which you can only deduce that he lives in pennsylvania. about six weeks later you call your friend and ask which hospital she went to for her broken arm. and then you walk in, dressed nicely with his hoodie washed and clean and folded under your arm, because that’s the least you can do before telling a complete stranger you’re pregnant with his baby.

In the file, seems the client asked I.M.P to take care of what had killed him to protect his coworkers. Maybe it could’ve just been for revenge but considering they had brought up his fellow researchers being at risk, seems he was concerned for them.
Sinner asking them to kill to protect people above.

Do you guys think about how Artemis is clearly meant to be seen as Melinoe's older sister figure? Like besides calling her sister, Artemis is very openly close to Mel (talking about things such as her relationships, their little jokes and jabs at the family and relationships - like Eris, Mel asking and Artemis elaborating about artenem drama). There's even the detail that if the encounter goes too long or Mel's low in health Artemis would toss her some gyros (i have gotten two in one encounter). If Mel returns to shadow during the encounter Artemis feels personally responsible for failing her. Guh. What a great dynamic we ought to talk of it more.
