Interior y exterior – más lujo, más elecciones
Basándose en importantes actualizaciones de diseño y de tecnología, MDX 2019 incluye mejoras interiores creadas para incrementar el coeficiente de lujo. Cambió su paleta de colores incluyendo el nuevo Negro Supremo y tres colores premium: Blanco Diamante, Acero y Plata Lunar. En su interior ofrece vestiduras con piel premium (Milano) para la versión TECH y asientos con piel y Alcantara para la variable deportiva A-Spec. Cuenta además con respaldos abatibles 50/50 en la tercera fila de asientos, y de 60/40 para la segunda fila, asientos con ajustes eléctricos de 12 vías con soporte lumbar para el conductor y para el copiloto.

Rendimiento, conducción y manejo refinado
El receptivo motor i-VTEC® de 3.5-litros V6 de inyección directa y 24 válvulas continúa alimentando a la poderosa MDX con potencia de 290 caballos de fuerza y 267 libras-pie de torque, en configuración con el sistema de tracción Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD®) disponible para ambas versiones TECH y A-Spec. Más mejoras de conducción se alcanzan por medio de una función Idle Stop actualizada, que ahora es estándar en la línea MDX para 2019. Las mejoras del sistema acortan la respuesta del motor cuando vuelve a arrancar y la suavidad operativa por medio de un nuevo activador de presión del freno y actualizaciones del software, resultando en una sensación más natural y fluida.

The Luxembourg Bankers' Association (ABBL) supported by the Fondation ABBL pour l'Education Financi\cE8re in cooperation with the University of Luxembourg and its Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) progress with the joint research project on the use of distributed ledger technology (blockchain) and data analytics for KYC (Know Your Customer) processes.
According to Serge de Cillia, the Chairman of the Fondation ABBL pour l'\cE9ducation financi\cE8re: -The foundation was founded in September 2016 with the purpose of fostering and promoting financial education and research in Luxembourg by organising events and trainings and supporting doctorate, post-doctorate and professorship studies in the field of finance. I am delighted that the Fondation supports this research project, of potentially high value for the Luxembourg banking community."
At SnT's 7th Annual Partnership Day 2018, representatives of the ABBL and SnT research team reported on intermediary achievements of the project.
Marc Hemmerling, ABBL General Counsel Digital Banking, FinTech Payments and Program Director for the Project representing both the ABBL and the ABBL Foundation for Financial Education underlines: -Know Your Customer is key success factor for any business. In the context of banking, there are also regulatory KYC obligations beside the commercial aspects. KYC-related expenses of financial institutions remain at their high levels with an upward trend. This is no doubt about the burden that banks and other financial services firms have to bear in order to guarantee that customer, private and public interests are duly met. Meanwhile, we at the ABBL believe that having an applied research project that aims at exploring how the issue could be addressed by the adoption of the blockchain technology is a promising approach".
This four-year project, launched in November 2017, develops and tests new conceptual and technological approaches to KYC procedures in the financial services sector, exploring how financial institutions could use novel methods of customer identification.
Dr. Radu State, Head of the Service and Data Management in Distributed Systems Research Group (SEDAN), SnT: -We're excited to work with the ABBL and to get feedback from its members on our research project as well as operational insights into the financial industry. Working on concrete projects with the local banks and realizing that we can solve real problems and increase the cost efficiency and speed of particularly tedious processes, it's both a personal and professional satisfaction".
The project utilises smart contracts to help provide a KYC system shared amongst financial services firms. Smart contracts are programs stored on the blockchain and executed with the same assurances of consensus as a regular blockchain transaction. By leveraging the blockchain, project partners aim at automation of certain shared parts of the KYC process.
Robert Norvill, PhD Student at SnT: -The software is under ongoing development, guided by regular meetings with the ABBL pilot members. The information gathering and feedback process has been instrumental in understanding the challenges of KYC and how blockchain technology can be used to improve the KYC process securely".
Andrey Martovoy, ABBL FinTech Adviser ABBL and Project Coordinator: -Pilot banks that have joined the project provide compliance-related requirements for the proof of concept to researchers. As a result, the first phase of prototype development has been completed and the second stage is under way".
Christophe Medinger, Project Leader at Banque et Caisse d'Epargne de l'Etat, Luxembourg (BCEE): -Distributed ledger technologies used for KYC processes are an opportunity for Banks to mutualize tedious mandatory work with a real added value for the end-customers, such as a faster onboarding process. So far, the project holds the promises and we are excited being one of the participating banks"
Jean-Philippe Houard, Director, Head of Transfer Agency at BNY Mellon in Luxembourg: -The SnT team has an in-depth knowledge of the blockchain technology and is rapidly adapting the prototype as the business opportunities are further explored. This collaboration is an exciting and concrete opportunity for Luxembourg to take the lead on an enhanced and simplified KYC experience for the wider region."
This project is part of SnT's Partnership Program, which currently includes more than 40 collaborations with public and private organisations, addressing major challenges facing industry and the public sector in ICT.
The University of Luxembourg, through SnT, has designated Professor Bj\cF6rn Ottersten as the Program Director for the Project. The scientific research is performed by Robert Norvill and his colleagues within SnT's Services and Data Management research group (SEDAN) headed by Dr. Radu State, in collaboration with Dr. Zsofia Kraussl from the Luxembourg School of Finance (LSF) and Dr. Jean Hilger, Head of ABBL's Digital Banking and FinTech Innovation Cluster.

En la parte frontal está la parrilla en forma de diamante en pentágono negro mate con borde cromado negro, una fascia inferior delantera agresiva, con apertura central y faros de niebla LED a los costados, y los faros LED Jewel Eye. Las mejoras exteriores de la versión A-Spec continúan en la parte trasera, con un alerón negro brillante, luces traseras LED “ahumadas” y una fascia exclusiva con un difusor inferior acentuado con salidas de escape duales y redondas de 4 pulgadas. Su diseño es completado por bordes negro mate en las ventanas laterales y la insignia A-Spec en la defensa frontal y la cajuela. En su interior nos encontramos con asientos frontales prominentes, con costuras y laterales de alto contraste; laterales de iluminación ambiente LED en color rojo; detalles de velocímetro en rojo; tapicería en techo y laterales en color negro; panel de instrumentos con detalles de aluminio satinado; y un volante exclusivo con borde grueso e insignia A-Spec.
El totalmente nuevo TLX A-Spec cuenta con un sistema de dirección eléctrica y una configuración de amortiguadores renovados. Está disponible en tres colores de carrocería y una configuración única de Blanco Orquídea con interior en piel totalmente rojo, o Azul Dinámico y Rojo San Marino con asientos y acabados de puertas en Alcantara™ color negro.
Seguridad y mejoras Tecnológicas Otra de las novedades es que el nuevo TLX 2018 es el primer Acura que presenta una interfaz de usuario renovada de pantalla dual On Demand Multi-Use Display™ (ODMD 2.0) que admite Apple CarPlay™ y Android Auto™. Un nuevo software mejora el tiempo de respuesta del sistema y ofrece menús y estructuras de comando mucho más intuitivas para lograr una experiencia de usuario más veloz y fluida: aproximadamente un 30% más rápida. Una pantalla táctil mejorada de 7 pulgadas tiene una presentación más sensible al tacto ubicada al alcance del conductor y el acompañante.
Las dos versiones que llegan a nuestro país, TLX Advance y TLX A-Spec incluyen AcuraWatch como equipamiento estándar, con ésta exclusiva suite de tecnologías, el Acura TLX 2018 es el único vehículo en su clase con previsión de colisiones estándar y funciones activas de asistencia de manejo. AcuraWatch™ incluye sistema de mitigación de colisión con frenado Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) con frenado de emergencia automático, sistema de frenado inteligente de colisión frontal Forward Collision Warning (FCW), sistema de asistencia de conservación de carril Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS), control de velocidad crucero adaptativo Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) con función de seguimiento a baja velocidad Low-Speed Follow (LSF) y asistencia de mitigación al sistema de conservación de carril Road Departure Mitigation (RDM). AcuraWatch usa un radar de onda milimétrica y tecnología de percepción de cámara monocular para detectar otros vehículos, así como las líneas de carril, y puede ayudar a intervenir para evitar o mitigar la gravedad de una colisión. Con el Adaptive Cruise Control con Low-Speed Follow y el Lane Keeping Assist, AcuraWatch puede reducir significativamente el trabajo del conductor en la velocidad de crucero en carretera manteniendo una velocidad establecida e intervalos de seguimiento, iniciando tanto el frenado como la aceleración, y agregando señales de dirección para ayudar al conductor a mantener su posición en el carril detectado. Además, otras características importantes de su ingeniería son, la Gestión Variable de Cilindros (VCM) que analiza los patrones de manejo y automáticamente determina si se necesitan 3 o 6 cilindros para dar la potencia y el rendimiento que se requiera, y el Sistema Precision All Wheel Steer (P-AWS) único en su tipo, cambiando la sensación de manejo de un automóvil con tracción frontal, ajustando las ruedas traseras hasta 1.8° de manera independiente para incrementar la agilidad y estabilidad del vehículo al tomar las curvas, cambiar de carril o en situaciones de frenado.
Cuenta con cámara de reversa 360º de 3 ángulos con pautas dinámicas, sistema de prevención de colisión trasera (CTM) y asistencia de estacionamiento con sensores frontales y traseros. Monitoreo de Punto ciego (BSI). Frenos de disco en las cuatro ruedas con sistema antibloqueo de frenos y sistema de distribución electrónico de frenado (ABS + EBD). Bolsa de aire para rodillas del conductor, bolsas de aire frontales (SRS) para conductor y copiloto de doble etapa, bolsas de aire laterales (SRS) para conductor y copiloto y bolsas de aire tipo cortina (SCAB) para asientos delanteros y traseros.
