I'll always be glad I learned from an early age how to conceptualize and draw fat bodies motivated by my adoration for a fat character. because I swear to god half of all artists draw fat characters like this if they draw them at all

"the reason adrien is just instantly good at everything he tries is because he is programmed to be that way as a senti" aside from the fact that i don't think that's how it works (and also while he was decent at everything he tried with marinette he wasn't instantly good at all of them, and what marinette actually said to him was that he could improve in anything with practice but it was a great first attempt) did we all collectively forget about how adrien actually canonically isn't the best singer?
Tumblr media
#adrien agreste#miraculous#miraculous ladybug#ml s6 spoilers#ml season 6#ml climatiqueen#miraculous spoilers#ml spoilers#actually never saw that episode in french so maybe the french voice actor did a better job idk but given that adrien doesn't#usually sing for kitty section or ever the way i saw it was he used his poetry writing skills to write a song#and as a songwriter he was probably great but being a good lyricist doesn't make you a great singer obviously#so to me that's what his deal is#i actually like that throughout this show adrien has some things he picks up easily and some things he has to work on and might never do as#well as people with more experience#i also think as a kids show the lesson they want to put out is anyone can improve with effort and attempt#like he fumbled that science lab experiment but enjoys particle physics#languages tend to come easily to him precisely because it's been something he was forced to do since he was young#a lot of polygots especially if they start young develop skills and see linguistic patterns and iirc he already knew some#japanese from anime and his familiarity with mandarin should help#but i love that he took it further and took on morse code like the cute nerd he is#and now he's studying ancient greek for fun??? what a cute#marinette says his macarons tasted fine but we saw him struggle with the creme#what i mean to say is#he has discipline (basically second nature now) and dedication so he can do well but it DOES require effort#and i think it dismisses how much adrien TRIES or the fact that a lot of skills he was taught to have since a young age aid him#and i just don't think all sentis are “perfect” in an AI robotic way (even if that's how their parents wished they were)#it also just lessens his humanity and iirc the writers have stated multiple times that they are still human#(we can discuss how inconsistent ml is about sentis in general but eh idc for that conversation tbh agdhsjsjks)#anyway adrien will forever be#my nerdy son i love him so much

grant program I've been working on for the last six months now officially dead. going to go cry on the phone line to my reps, I guess, and then see if I can summon any more analytical motivation or whether all I have is crying.

Let TFP!Megatronus be illiterate. Let him practise his speeches with Soundwave and have them make heavy use of Soundwave's ability to record/replay/stitch together sounds to get the best possible result. Let him have thousand-monkeys-on-a-thousand-typewriters-ed his way to revolutionary ideals.
So when Orion Pax shows up having read actual philosophy, it just drives a wedge between them, because it's all well and good to whitter on about pros and cons, but there's no decisive action suggested in the ramblings of old mechs. Theirs is about the argument, not the conclusion. And so, Orion comes across as condescending and Megatronus comes across as stubborn.
(And then sometime later, the closest thing to basic learning materials Megatron can get ahold of are medical/scientific notes and he discovers that he's got a knack for chemistry and immediately funnels that into plague development...)

I just had a thought, fueled by the fact I have a fever probably.
Bruce, Batman, is very mom-coded.
Tony, Iron Man, is very dad-coded.
They should platonically co-parent.

do yall think constructs like. age? idk if a secunit has uhhh survived long enough to maybe truly answer that question but maybe a comfortunit has
does the cubicle/repair process like. replace organic tissue with young tissue? match or clone the tissue around it? i’m assuming that there’s some organic tissue, like neuro tissue, they have that is vital to function and not able to be replaced without straight up killing them
#Murderbot#murderbot diaries#the Murderbot diaries#hmm part of me assume that their tissue was artificially aged or something#but actually using baby/toddler neuro tissue would make a lot of sense#bc of synaptic pruning and all that#so if you want your construct to learn as fast as possible then like#quick google search says 2-7 or 4-14 are some of the best age ranges for learning new skills#which I guess one of my headcanons is that Secunits don’t live very long lives#murderbot spent four years watching TV and an unknown amount of time before it was wiped#so it could be as young as five#it isn’t a child obviously but like#I guess I’m considering the potential benefits of giving your contructs very young and flexible neuro tissue for their organic side#actually wait that also might fix something bugging me a bit#bc I know Murderbot got flashes of ganaka pit bc of the organic neuro tissue#and I’ve always been like. why only that?#and my first sad assumption was many ganaka pit was its first ever assignment#but actually if Murderbot was in use for like 3ish years it might also make sense#bc humans don’t encode shit into our memories until around age 3ish either#so maybe ganaka pit was just the equivalent of murderbots first memory#mine is me at age 3 being jumped on my our lab/collie mix in the laundry room#followed rapidly by me at age 3 moving to america the first time and going to the basement to find like a bajillion dead millipedes#just little flashbulb memories with no real memories surrounding them at all#which sounds a bit like what Murderbot describes#hmm maybe I should make these tags their own post or something lmao

⟢ INTRO. “the end is a means to a new beginning.” ╱ an energetic inventor from fontaine who spends most of her time locked away in her lab working on her creations. to most, she is simply “the mad inventor” who works at the fontaine research institute. to few, she is just “cassia”; the robot awakened from a five hundred year slumber who is on a journey to find herself.

I think we all moved past the fact that Adam taught HIMSELF how to do makeup really quickly in the screaming skull episode way too easily. I don't know much about doing makeup, but I can't imagine making your skin look the same level of pale as the virus did for bree and chase was EASY

Ever wondered what Mechi would look like in the Sims 2?
Wonder no more! He looks something like...
Tumblr media
... This :)
Tumblr media
There is a reason he's called Mechi. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Tumblr media
"Everywhere I go, I find people!!!"
Tumblr media
"No, see, it's weird... I think I'm actually from an alternate reality where I have a clone—two clones, actually, but I killed one—and an army of robots that I control with my brain. I'm also royalty, with psychic powers and bionic body parts."
He'll fit right in in Strangetown.
Tumblr media
"Anyway, did you know mechanical stuff is cool as hell??"
Tumblr media
"You come into MY house, eat MY mac 'n cheese—"
Tumblr media
"... it is pretty good mac 'n cheese. I don't blame you."
Tumblr media
Hmmm. Despite all the time I spent playing it as a kid, I don't think I ever managed to get an alien baby in Sims 2. Mechi, I'm sorry, but... you might end up being an unwitting test subject for me...
Tumblr media
Sims 2 Mechi is a scientist! Doesn't he look dapper in his lil' coat?? I bet he never ties his hair back away from dangerous chemicals and machines. We <3 a man who ignores workplace health and safety rules.
