Absolutely gorgeous... God I want my shelves to be this pretty, but I also can't imagine splitting up all my series like this. On that note how do people organize their bookshelves? I was thinking of by genre then by author, but then what do I do with the authors who write for multiple genres? I am not at the point where I have all my books match sadly. I try but sometimes I'm relying on the best deal. So I'll have a hardback, with a paperback 2nd volume, and modern books with editions from the 80-90s.

These all sound like excellent and sane goals for 2025! And I'm also personally trying to work on reading what I already own and my own physical TBR, which are kind of combined because of how many books I bought in 2024.

I'm also going to try and do a "Use My Public Library Challenge" though I still need to figure out guidelines for myself for this. Happy reading in 2025!

Hi everyone!

What are some of your reading goals for 2025?

Though I haven't done a traditional post like this in a while, I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and share some of my bookish goals for 2025.

I've been fighting a cold since Christmas day, so there will be some silence on the blog this week (in the form of my usual scheduled posts--the queue will still be alive and well!)

I'll post the remaining reviews of 2024 sometime next week and continue posting as normal next week!

2025 Bookish Goals!

Try to do less spontaneous book buying--I have counted my TBR physical library and I own 1352 books I've yet to read. I own 1240 in my "read" library.

Read more of my physical books--I read 254 books that I own in 2024, thanks to my libraries and their wide selections of audiobooks!

Continue to unhaul books I don't like or think I'll read--I unhauled 71 books in 2024!

Continue to feel the freedom of DNFing books--I DNFed 113 books in 2024!

Try to read out in the wild on my own--I'm a very anxious person when I'm alone in public, so I want to fight this fear.

Continue to review and share the books I've read--I will also continue to be honest about the books I read, even if they're popular books.

Read whatever I want without the stress of others' expectations.

I set my Goodreads goal to 150, but I know that this isn't a hard set rule. It's okay to change the goal if I need to--I beat my personal record in 2024 by reading 412 books. This is not a "new goal to beat".

Use my Kindle more--I pay for KU, I might as well use it more instead of impulsively buying books I could read digitally first.

Continue to use the library--It has been incredible so far!
