me madly explaining the ending of Mickey 17 to my mother and how the red button, which was meant to be his freedom, actually made him think of his mom and how he deserved to be punished, how a red button ended his first true life and led him to that planet, how it was just like the red '17' bomb button that would have ended it again and that was clearly for a reason, and that's why he thinks of the Marshalls in that moment (who love to play those faux parental figures), why he's been dreaming of them, why he sees the red dot on the floor and them being there because Mickey doesn't get to escape, he needs to be punished, it follows him, but then he remembers 18 and he sees the blood pooling in her hand like a button and he realises he can choose growth, can choose happiness, that none of it was his fault and that's why he gets to snap back out of it and, finally, he gets to push the red button and live

All mickey 18 is, is the manifestation of parts of Mickey Barnes that he can't actualize on his own. All his hatred and fear and even rationalizing he compartmentalized came out with 18, and that's the only reason anything changed was because a part of him came out and took control and stopped letting everybody walk all over him.

Well turns out Redbubble kinda sucked so I moved to threadless! And I finally have a shop there :D!

So far it's only 3 pride flags (trans, bi and genderfluid) but I'll add more very soon! Turns out you have to have diffrent image size than the oryginal design's had so I redrew it and now I'm editing the hearts a bit so they won't look wonky or low quality compared to (like I said) now much bigger in resolution mickey

I’m honestly delighted that Mickey Mouse x Pride and Prejudice (and Couch Potato x MASH) is taking top honours because honestly that is such a bizarre and wonderful combination and I’m thrilled that others agreed with me on that

I was really confused by the fact that some random little picture like Counting Crows got as much attention as it did, and that’s how I learnt that this is also a band ahahaha

and of course a list like this would be incomplete without perennial childhood nostalgia characters like Elmo or Peppa Pig or the Paw Patrol puppies

This blog is never going to get a lot of notes because there’s only so many people with an interest in picture books, but I’m always delighted at the end of the year to see which ones managed to make it out past this little blog’s sphere of influence
