okay Sluggy I am gonna hold your hand through this- It is not important to watch all of hermitcraft and depending on who you watch do hermitcraft there are different starting seasons.

Each season is it's own thing and has it's own storylines and at the end of each season they reset the server a.k.a move to a different minecraft server so they have a fresh canvas for builds and antics. Because of this, you can really jump into any season you want!

for this current season (season 10) there's two new members, Joel (Smallishbeans) and Skizzle (skizzleman) who this is their very first hermitcraft season so they're a good place to start out with!

If you want something way earlier and shorter you can start with either Docm77's Season 3 of Hermitcraft or Tango's season 2 of hermitcraft cause those are enjoyable but very short because they joined mid/near end of the season-

and if you want to start at the wayyyy beginning of hermitcraft with season 1 you can watch Keralis, Joe Hills, Bdoubleo100, or Xisuma!

If you want something that's in the middle and somewhat reminiscent of recent minecraft with a long amount of episodes Grian's Hermitcraft season 6 (which is his first season on the server so he's also new there!) is actually pretty silly!! so yeah it's really up to you where you want to start and it's not important to watch all of hermitcraft-

I'm probably insane, and also sleep deprived, but do we have an explanation for why Crowley changes so much through history that I somehow haven't picked up on? Or is it something along the lines of he's compensating because when he Fell things about him were permanently changed without his permission so now he changes himself because he never wants anything to be taken from him ever again and so him changing his hair and his clothes is his own little form of "this is me changing of my own free will and you cannot take that from me" rebellion

Opinions on the other species:

I'd say Madi admires the other species while being content with being a human. She used to believe in angels even before she came to RAD (demons not so much) but seeing how similar they are to humans was definitely a shock at first. Having a demon form with wings or a tail seems particularly cool and getting the chance to experience more due to much longer lifespans is neat in concept as well.

But at the same time being human isn't quite so bad. At the beginning she was a bit stressed about being one of the only two human representatives in the Devildom because she wanted to leave a good impression but that faded with time. Isn't it cool to be part of a realm that stands between 'heaven' and 'hell'? To get both the brightness of day AND the darkness of night? Not inherently good OR bad but always striving for the more? The chance to fill the limited time with meaning? The moment in the reaper's cave during which her 'human' life essence seemed to be the only one powerful enough to stop Beel's candle from melting down too quickly made her especially proud and content.

Side she likes to keep hidden:

Similar to Levi the social anxiety and self loathing is a problem sometimes. Tries to keep it under wraps but when the emotions become too much the tears fall. Seeks out Mammon as her emotional support demon (works everytime!).

I find myself looking at the Eleanor & Madi exchange, thinking that Madi characterization is more complicated than most people thought. While she believed the war is to be fought with any cost possible, she still believes there's life outside the struggle. Those two opinions of her coexist, they do not oppose one another.

I see your “Crowley’s favorite place is Aziraphale’s bookshop? Not after season two it isn’t lol” and raise you this:

Crowley still loving the bookshop and everything it represented despite Aziraphale, as far as Crowley can see, (“You can’t leave this bookshop.” “Oh Crowley…nothing lasts forever.”) turning his back on it (and Crowley) and leaving them behind.

Crowley still loving the bookshop in spite of (and because of) the memories clinging to every single spot in the entire building.

Crowley still loving the bookshop because, even though Aziraphale left, there’s still lingering remnants of his Love on every surface. And Crowley can’t bear to give that up, not when it’s the only thing left of his angel.

It’s like Lesi (the Bentley) being an extension of Crowley, and Crowley loving Aziraphale with everything he’s capable of, enough so that the love bleeds over into the car. Aziraphale and his bookshop are so interlinked that the bookshop loves Crowley just as fiercely and unendingly as Aziraphale does. And so, even with Aziraphale gone, the bookshop won’t let him forget it.

And that’s so, so devastating. A constant reminder of just how much Crowley has lost.

But it’s all he has left. And he can’t walk away from it.

So for better or for worse, the bookshop is still Crowley’s favorite place. No matter how heart wrenchingly painful it is.
