The following is a rejected script from an early season of Breaking Bad.

INT. JESSE'S APARTMENT - DAY

Jesse Pinkman, looking curious, is pacing around the room. His Samoyed, METH HEAD, is lounging on the couch. Jesse is fiddling with his phone, reading about the new AI drive-thru at Taco Bell.

JESSE:  Yo, check this out, Meth Head. Taco Bell's got some new AI drive-thru thing going on. They’re saying it’s like, some kind of crazy advanced tech. You think it’s like a dude trapped in a box or something? I gotta see this.

Meth Head gives a little whine and a wag of the tail. Jesse grabs his jacket.

JESSE:  Alright, let’s go. I gotta see this with my own eyes.

EXT. TACO BELL - PARKING LOT - DAY

Jesse pulls up to the Taco Bell drive-thru, where a sleek, high-tech machine stands ready. He rolls down his window and starts to speak into the AI drive-thru.

JESSE:  Hey, yo, what’s up? I wanna check out this new AI thing. How does it work?

AI VOICE:  Hello! Welcome to Taco Bell. How may I assist you today?

JESSE:  Whoa, it’s like talking to a robot. Alright, give me—

Meth Head, sitting in the passenger seat, starts to whimper and whine, looking intensely at the AI drive-thru speaker. Jesse looks over, confused.

JESSE:  (laughing)  What’s wrong, buddy? You hungry or something?

Meth Head suddenly starts to telepathically communicate, his thoughts somehow getting through to the AI system. The AI starts processing the order. METH HEAD:  NUGGETS!  4 Dozen with the deliciousness of Canada!

AI VOICE:  Order received: 48 maple syrup nuggets. Is that correct?

JESSE:  Aw, man! Did I just order 48 maple syrup nuggets? What the hell?

AI VOICE:  Confirming: 48 maple syrup nuggets. Total cost: $42.00. Please proceed to the window.

Jesse stares at Meth Head in disbelief. Meth Head looks back innocently, as if he did nothing wrong.

METH HEAD:  (thinking) Yes!  Soon they will be mine!

JESSE:  Aw, jeez. Alright, fine. Let’s get these nuggets. But you owe me for this one, buddy.

They pull up to the window. The Taco Bell employee looks confused as they hand over the order.

TACO BELL EMPLOYEE:  Uh, 48 maple syrup nuggets, huh? That’s a lot of nuggets. Are you sure?

JESSE:  Yeah, it’s, uh, a... special occasion.

The employee shrugs and hands over the massive bag of nuggets. Jesse drives off, shaking his head.

JESSE:  I can’t believe this. You’re gonna have to help me eat all these, you know that, right?

Meth Head just wags his tail happily.

JESSE:  Guess we’re gonna be here a while. 

The scene ends with Jesse and Meth Head driving away, the bag of nuggets taking up the entire back seat. Jesse sighs as he looks at the endless supply of syrup nuggets.

FADE OUT.

FIRST OFF. . . He would bring you breakfast in bed after a night of him showing you how much he loves you. . . If you're catching my drift — and what better to be on that tray other than PANCAKES!?

He has a perfected recipe — the box stuff is good, but he doesn't use it unless it's an absolute emergency. It's not as good as his, so he avoids it the way Alastor avoids teeth whitening strips. AND THAT'S OKAY!

He would do shapes based on his mood, your mood, the holiday/anniversary.

His favorite to do for your birthday, anniversary, and Valentines Day was heart shaped pancakes.

He'd do duck shapes when he felt like doing it, or if you specifically requested them. He perfected almost any shaped pancake you could ask for.

If you're sad, he makes smiley faces with chocolate chips or whipped cream on top (or both if you're super sad).

HE'S ALL FOR PANCAKE ART!

Sometimes he'd throw fruit like blueberries or strawberries if it was the vibe of the day.

Sometimes he'd throw something like m&ms in the pancake mix if that ended up being the vibe.

Maybe even something like banana nut pancakes? 👀

He wouldn't be opposed to making pancake breakfast tacos/sandwiches. He thinks they're yummy and it's the best of all breakfast worlds.

But of course, I can't forget just the classic round pancakes, perfectly brown on both sides with a pad of butter and a perfect drizzle of maple syrup.

I like to believe that he goes up to the living world a couple times a year just to get some good ol' Vermont maple syrup because it's just BETTER. . . You know?

He's not opposed to other syrup, but he has a specific taste for making the pancakes the best they could possibly be.

He's prone to making pancakes at MINIMUM twice a week on specific mornings neither of you are busy.

They're his safe, go-to food when nothing else sounds good.

He loves you just a little more than he loves pancakes.

Who can blame him? They're fluffy, buttery, warm, sweet, and they're customizable. There's a pancake for everyone!

And now I want pancakes 😃

Do you have a savoury trail mix recipe? I’ve been looking and all I tend to find are either ‘this is a home made savoury trail mix! To finish it off, let’s add a litre of maple syrup :D’ or ‘this is a home made savoury trail mix! Start by buying a savoury trail mix’

Yeah, so what i did was use

1.5ish cups of almonds

1.5ish cups of raw cashews

1.5ish cups of peanuts

Maybe a cup sunflower seeds or pepitas?

A bunch of rice chex

A bunch of pretzels

A can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans)

Take the chickpeas, drain and rinse them, then put them on a baking sheet in the oven at 425 degrees for 30 minutes, take them out and dump them in a BIG bowl with all the other ingredients listed so far. If you want to add different or other stuff, go for it!

Next we need

1 stick butter

1/3ish cup of oil

3 tablespoons worchestershire sauce

A half tablespoon of hot sauce if you feel like it. I used cholula

1 tablespoon of seasoning mix of your choice (i used vegeta but i bet taco seasoning or season salt would also be good)

1 tablespoon of everything bagel mix

However much honey your heart desires. I think I added a tablespoon?

And a teaspoon of flaky, kosher, or ground salt

Preheat the oven to 200F and melt the butter. Mix in the rest of the seasonings and stuff. Pour that into the snack mix part and mix it up. Put it on 2 trays with parchment paper and bake for an hour. Every 15 minutes or so mix up the snacks on the tray so they don't get stuck together. Devour while both hot and cool.

You can really kind of do what you feel like with the recipe and add different stuff or leave stuff out, the oil and butter is the way the seasonings get stuck on and probably the only REQUIRED part of the recipe but even thats a bit wibbly. The original recipe I used for the seasoning part called for two sticks of butter and all purpose seasoning, whatever that is. I mostly used what I had already laying around and could buy cheaply from the bulk bins. I imagine soy sauce and furikake would also be a tasty mix instead of everything bagel and worchestershire sauce.

Man’s cannot live without his cup of Yorkshire tea.

It’s his first thing he goes for whenever he wakes up.

As for food, he isn’t too big on spicy things, don’t ever say that you saw him crying after trying a hot Cheeto.

As for cooking, I’m sorry to say, he does not know how to cook at all. Lived off of ration packs pre 141.

He would sometimes try to re create his mother’s recipes if he ever uncovered them, to keep her memory alive.

It took a lot of practice and a few burnt dishes later, he successfully recreated her shepards pie. His favourite dish from her.
