The B.C. government is bringing back masks in all health-care settings.

Global News has obtained a memo sent from the Ministry of Health to health-care providers on the plan that is expected to be announced Thursday at a press conference.

When asked about the announcement on Wednesday, Health Minister Adrian Dix said, “It’s not a secret. We’ve been talking about this for about a month that for the respiratory illness season in the fall, we would expect health-care settings to have masking, so we’ll have details of that tomorrow.”

Health officials across the country are urging Canadians to get a COVID and flu shot at the same time as provinces have seen a rise in cases.

Getting both the flu and COVID-19 shots at the same time can provide an added layer of defence against respiratory illnesses, health experts said on Sunday. Although the influenza vaccine and the updated COVID-19 shot are not currently available, experts anticipate their rollout in mid-October.

“In preparation for the viral respiratory illness this fall and winter, B.C. will be reinstating enhanced infection prevention and control (IPC) measures in health-care settings, services, and programs, including community physician offices and outpatient clinics,” the memo to health-care staff reads.

💉 The important thing to remember here is this. The CDC has no authority to “mandate” anything. They issue advisories, but they can mandate nothing. The same is true of the Executive Branch of the federal government.

If we stick together, refuse to comply, boycott, and file lawsuits against entities that try to manipulate us, we can kill this political charade, which seems to want to pop up every General Election.

For the most part except for foreigners these are just regular days w/ regular schedules. "LNY" which is usually Jan or Feb is the real Holiday Season where people get days off work, kids get winter break from school &folks travel 2 see family. The fact that #Covid outbreak came around this time probably was not good for containing spread. But just a coincidence. No 1 knew what was coming then. Higher Vaccination Rates

I am very tired of wearing a mask where ever I go. Many cities have brought back the mask mandate. As COVID infection rates are high once again, it makes complete sense to bring those mandates back. When infection rates are high, there is a higher risk for immunocompromised and therefore unvaccinated individuals to get infected and die. Although the death rate has decreased due to vaccinations and better care, the number of deaths per day has remained relatively high. This fact is concerning and can easily be changed. With the approval of several vaccines and booster shots the mitigation of COVID should be easy. However, their is a large percentage of the population that have become skeptical of the vaccine. I do not understand this skepticism. Thousands of scientists who have trained for years have worked together to develop the vaccine which provides high levels of protection from COVID. I truly want to see higher vaccination rates in the world. Not just for myself, but for those immunocompromised patients who cannot receive the vaccine even if they wanted to.
