So, I know I'm a little (very) late to the AvA stuff, but I was rewatching AvM Season 3 for the seven hundredth time and, well, I noticed something and I'm curious to know if it's been discussed before.
AvM Episode 29, Purple's story, specifically, Pink's death.
Her color changes as she dies, or is represented to have died.
It fades to grey.
Now, the question is, can we, or rather should we, use this to infer anything lore-related? Was this just an artistic choice to depict the act of becoming unhealthy/dying, or could this be what actually happens to stick figures that die over a period of time? Are their colors linked to their health?
Let's have a bit of fun with it, and presume that the fading of one's color can happen to a stick figure for health-related reasons, as the scene could imply.
This fading seems to involve loosing the saturation of one's color into grey. Saturation is how vibrant a color is, and the complete lack of saturation is greyscale.
The World-of-Alan reason for Pink's death is that she 'got sick', which is where the health connection of this theory comes from. If she did loose her color as she was dying as the notes depict, that loss of color was likely a result of her failing health rather than any other factors, like age or outside variables. A whole bunch of human body stuff are indicators for good vs poor health, including skin color (jaundice and cyanasis are good examples) so why not a stick's color for them?
What if, when they fully die, they lose all of their original color?
Now, let me propose this…
Who else do we know of who has had their color loose vibrancy?

What if Victim's color has lightened because he's ill?
#I started this post because I was legitimately interested in how Pink's death was portrayed#And ended with with a Game Theory tier nonsense theory#“What is Victim's sick? Ignore the major ass-kicking he gave Chosen in Ep10 let's just contemplate this theory.”#That being said I am still very curious to see if there will be a canon/lore reason for it bc I think it'd be neat#Alternative victim's color crack theory: He's just old for a stick figure.#Bonus angst: King gets the flu at some point and his color dulls a little bit as he's sick and Purple freaks the hell out#bc he thinks King is dying like his mother#But King is totally confused he's just like “kid chill it's just the flu”-#alan becker#animation vs animator#animator vs animation#animation vs minecraft#ava#avm Pink#ava victim#Just for those people: I am aware the real reason Victim's color was changed was to differentiate him from TCO#I read the wikis before I post this sort of stuff

I thought about the concept of gender in Minecraft.
Canonically, there is no gender. According to notch it wasn’t “important to the game”, so they chose not to include it; which is honestly an extremely valid point to make.
(He also mentions Steve is non-binary but we won’t talk about that now.)
In the 2019 Guidebook Jeb mentions something similar.

Not only does this discuss the lack of gender in mobs, but also hints at the idea of players taking on pronouns without a preexisting gender-identity, rather than having one assigned based on their biological sex by default.
Considering how mobs like cows and villagers work breeding wise it is easy to assume there is no sexual dimorphism within any species in any dimension.
it implies that even mobs with names / pronouns like Jean (Enderdragon), Simmons (Wither) and William (Warden), the latter two of which don’t even have canon pronouns, are also still genderless.
This includes aforementioned humanoid mobs like the illagers, Villagers (which actually have another similar developer statement attached, didn’t screenshot it but it’s on the wiki.) and Builders like the player as well as many of the undead.
So what does this mean?
Due to how breeding works in universe: requiring two parties involved, which cancels out asexual reproduction.
It leads me to believe that each and every species in this universe is unisexual: meaning a species of only one sex.
Which with the example of how turtles and chickens work in the game, means that every individual would have both male and female sexual characteristics: as both are capable of laying eggs.
In less scientific terms, being agender and intersex is the baseline in the Minecraft universe.
Also probably makes everyone omnisexual by default.
#minecraft#mineblr#minecraft lore#minecraft au#minecraft theory#genderqueer#genderless#minecraft more like WOKEcraft#<- I’ve been repeating this to my friends#the fact that people would genuinely say that about a game design decision that was made before notch ever sold the game is baffling#anyways I love my genderqueer Minecraft#video games#fandom#ramblings#this feels insane#what am i saying

MUMBO JUMBO S10 LORE THEORY/OVERVEIW: immortality
Right I have a lot of things to explain, you may be wondering…does mumbo even have lore? And I’d have to tell you yes yes he very much does and it’s stuck in my brain like a worm.
And I believe he has planned it since episode 9 of his hermitcraft series…
I’ll start in chronological order.
Firstly: when mumbo is planning and drawing out his base he has a small box at the bottom with numbers. That is what is going to be the data base in episode 20 , where he talks about him / all his inventions… living on forever. (This will be a major theme)

Now that in its self is not enough to prove anything… but in episode 25… the laboratory we learn about what a certain company is trying to achieve in their endeavours.

It talks of a couple major things: red stone research…artificial intelligence…preservation of the lived experience…
But the biggest of all “soon we will be living forever..”
And they are going to “start human trails shortly…”
Also in this same episode, Mumbo changes his skin and starts to grey.

It goes from this…

To this… and it happens midway through the episode:

(Both taken from episode 25)
So we know that the mined labaratory is testing with artificial intelligence and red stone to attempt to create some sort of immortality situation. And mumbo is being directly effected by it via aging.
But the MOST DARNED evidence is within episode 29 at the very beginning!!! He made an entire cinematic sequence…
(I can’t place the clip but seriously go watch it it’s sooo good!)
From this… we are able to see testing cells… that have chicken noises and villager noises coming from them.
Where we can sort of tell:
- one: the chickens have been tested on in order to possibly experiment on their entire life cycle. (Egg, embryo, chick, chicken..)
- two: the humans within the cinematic…talk in villager noises. So human trials have definitely started.
Then the dialogue shows even more…
“I got the notification, is it done?”
“It’s done…” and then we see this…

A mind… is 100% mapped…
THEN! Midway episode 32 he changes his skin again to grey even more!

(You may say that is because he is literally being sued but that kinda just speedens the process a bit)
So here is the basic parts I have put together in a small synopsis theory:
Mumbo is essentially patient zero, the mined company want to preserve intelligence , to see if after they die they can live as an ai. They have tested on animals, and villagers/ humans (not too sure) but now want mumbo’s intelligence via documenting it all onto a computer. Where it gets trained into an ai that is a replica of the person mind, their personality…every little bit about themselves…that why the brain is 100% mapped..because it is 100% copied… the data base, is also apart of this.. and is actually connected to mumbo in some sort of way, storing all the inventions and red stone ideas he has ever made to be placed into the ai algorithm.
This is very much having a bad effect on mumbo himself, as he seems to be aging much quicker….as if in trying to preserve life they are making it fade more quickly…
But the real question is what is going to end up happening well I have two theory’s for you there….
Silly theory: Grumbot.
You see when mumbo changed his skin it no longer had the waffle…so that possibly means that when minded was mapping out mumbo’s brain…it picked a up a bit of an anomaly..such as….someone’s soul…
Grians… (mwahhaa). So while trying to obtain a obedient ai that could persevere all of mumbo’s intelligence of red stone and inventions forever through the data base. They have also inadvertently picked up a bit of Grian within the ai (which is why the waffle from mumbo’s skin disapeared, due to the fact it’s now in the ai)… creating the famously charming Grumbot!!!
Angst theory: Ai after death
Mumbo is going to die due to the rapid aging that the mined company has placed on him…in which causes them to create basically an ai replica of mumbo, placing him in a robot body where he is essentially “replaced” by his robot version, and that ai is just now him (kinda like Astro boy)
So yeah….this took 2 hours…I need help, the brain rot is bad. Um thanks!

if the ancient builders were ever to meet steve, i think steve would be mad at them for leaving him behind and for being so dumb to the point of extinct by playing god.
and being jerks the ancient builders were, i think they'd managed to find a way to gaslight him (just like how they kinda did with the illagers),
i wanna see them meet i guess

Pillagers are definitely made in the pale garden. It cant be a coincidence that the dark forest are the only places pillager mansions and pale gardens spawn, and less of a chance that thise greyed out skin villagers, who look like their color has been drained, are literlly next to a color drained biome. We know that theyre scared but to join them a villager maybe has to go throught a trial ag the gardens which gets their color off

Apologies to everyone who reads my posts, but the hyperfixation demands this.
Soo, Minecraft lore, if youre close to me then you know that I have been theorizing about Minecraft lore for a good while. So, here is one of the first theories ive came up with that I really like:
Heat has magical properties
Now, what do I mean by this? Well, ive noticed that in minecraft, things relating to magic (like potions, xp, etc.) can be the result of a huge ammount or sudden burst of heat!
Lets start with some small peices of evidence first: furnaces (and smokers [and blast furnaces])
To explain furnaces, I need to beifly go over xp. Xp is a PHYSICAL thing in the minecraft world, it is NOT just a gameplay mechanic. This is proven by xp bottles and how the Illagers have xp bottles in outposts (the reason for that, plus illagers in general, have to be discussed for another day, but I have the feeling that they are extremley important)
Now, furnaces, what the FUCK do they have to do with magic? Well I'll tell you!
In minecraft, you need to smelt raw ores for them to be useful, doing this grants you xp. The thing I want to direct your attention too is how ONLY ores (aka raw ores I guess, you get it) give off xp when smelted. In real life, it takes ALOT of heat to melt minerals. Possibly so much heat that the magic manifests into xp?
I do think its important to keep track of where you get xp from, since it is confirmed to be a physical item
Anyways, peace of evidence #2: more ore stuff
Coal, Redstone, Diamonds, Emeralds, Lapis, Quartz, and nether gold ore, they all drop xp.
Xp = magic = heat
All of these real life ores are made with heat or can conduct heat in real life, meaning that it makes sense that they give off xp. Redstone also conducts electricity, which gives off heat obviously, so it makes sense that theyd give off xp too
And as for nether ores, theyre in the *nether*, ofcourse theyre gonna give off heat
Admittedly im not too sure if ancient debris gives off heat, whenever I find some im too excited to mine it that I dont notice if they do or not lol
But anyways, on to #3: Lightning
Lightning in minecraft is really weird. It can convert, and even CREATE mobs that it strikes. Villagers turn into witches, pigs turn into zombified piglins, mooshrooms turn a different color, and it charges creepers (admittedly the less important attribute here)
Let me spell it out here
Witches use potions, potions rely on magic
Pigs become more sentient, smarter, and they give off, get this, MORE xp when they drop
Not sure why it converts mooshrooms though, mushrooms in general are their own can of worms
Now, for my final peice of evidence: PORTALS
The nether portal, the end portal, and that structure in the ancient city that was a portal until it wasnt, they all seem to require heat to power up for atleast ONE ingredient
Nether portals are obvious
End portals were built above lava by the Ancient Builders, ofc you dont need lava to activate it but that could either just be game mechanics throwing us a bone, or the ancient builders assumed that theyd need heat to activate the portal cus, yknow, heat = magic
And that huge part of the ancient city had soul fire beneth it. I know it isn't a portal anymore, but it definitely was at some point, hence the design implementation
One thing that could disprove this is that getting rid of fire or mining things like netherrack dont give xp, but its possible that those just arent hot enough for xp to form
Anyways, thats all I have for now in terms of Minecraft lore. @bulbasauryeee likley has more details I didnt talk about since we both theorize about the game's lore together :]

I like to imagine that Illagers got some inspiration from Piglins. They use Crossbows, axes and celebrate in a similar way. If you think enough, they even used Hoglins as a mount in a distant past (that's it if we cautiously use Minecraft Legends as a source)
It might be a stretch, though

MINECRAFT MULTIVERSE LORE EPISODE TWO
✨Mumbo edition✨
alright, this one won’t be so aggressive because I’m tired and this was prewritten 😎 (7/21) (what? I got bored okay? Also I’ve been knee-deep in lore lately because of the stupid YouTube thing)
soooo, any of y’all notice something? no?

How about now? Did you notice it now?
still no?

“wHAT IS THAT?” You may ask.
well that, my friend, is a waffle. It originated in HC8. Mumbo ate too many potatoes, he turned into a potato. He ate a carrot, turned into a carrot. Ate a pork chop, turned into a pork chop. Well, he ate that pork chop, and then, missed his human form. Soo, durning the tree contest, he told Grian, “the master of tree building” to rate his tree, using a book. And he had to sign it to make it official, but what he DIDN’T know, is that on page 20, (I think) was a little thing saying: “by signing this book, you hereby agree to sell your soul for the purposes of Mumbo becoming human again” (or something like that, I’m too lazy to find the hc episode) and Grian rated and signed the book, not reading the fine print. So, Mumbo consumed a bit of Grian’s soul to become human again, giving him the waffle.
and here’s where things get interesting. This means that Mumbo is henceforth Soulbound to Grian, making both Mumbo and Scar Soulmates to Grian! Does this make Mumscarian canon, in a way? Does Double Life still count in HC? I mean, it does in Empires apparently, y’know, to Timmy, because when Tango came to Empires to crossover, TimTim saw him, and screeched, “HOLY MOLEY! IS THAT… MY RANCHER BUDDY?” And made cute little exited screeches. So… yeah…
Anyway, for most of HC9 Mumbo had his normal skin on, and his normal account. But recently, he changed back? Is he trying to say something?
Also have y’all seen the new buttercup skins? Cutest things ever!
NEXT WEEK: mini episode, “Canary in a Coal Mine”

The term ‘Ancient Builder’ is really just a fandom term used to describe an otherwise unnamed group of characters,
sure they’ve been referred to as “ancient explorers”, “ancient adventurers”, “ancient scholars” and just “the ancient race” in canon content since, but the term itself actually originates from reddit theorists in 2017 before being popularized by the game theorists YouTube channel a couple years later.
In retrospect I don’t think it really fits, other races like the V/Illagers and Piglin are clearly shown to be able to build aswell, and even the endermen have been referred to as Builders, outside of the context of theory content, for sharing that ability.
I think Ancient Artisans fits better.
Also clarifies some otherwise confusing terminology I think,
since in the Minecraft fandom the term builder by now refers to like 3 different things.

Ahhh… Mat Pat was right, it’s all coming together… indeed no wonder the ghasts are so unhappy… Leave it to Mojang to not only highlight endangered species but also a message of climate change.
Very interesting advancement note that I’m obviously not the first to comment on but

The wording is ‘rescue’ a Ghast from the Nether, and bring it ‘safely home’. Which has always been the idea of, are Ghasts from the Nether? Was the Nether always like this; and are they so miserable because they were forced to adapt to a ruined fiery hellscape? Well, now we know that presumably when young especially, they’re liable to dry out. That if they’re rescued from being dried, they thrive in a more earthly environment. That they grow up happy when doing so. I do think that Ghasts may be from the Nether, but not from the current Nether. A much colder one, maybe more like the Overworld, maybe not. Probably a cavernous fungal paradise if I had to guess. But now they live in a world that’s been ruined by something, and turned into the human embodiment of hell, forced to spit fire just to no longer be filled with it when they’d much rather eat snow to cool down. Is it any wonder they cry?
#but that’s just a theory a game theory ;)#minecraft lore#minecraftblr#minecraft#minecraft ghast#happy ghast#ghastling#minecraft nether#on the house#Youtube
