cause lucifer just dropped this laser rifle called "Igneus Eden"

Some Denizens do. The two most consistent ones are Hephaestus, who has (and uses) a high-end Time-aspected hammerkind weapon known as Fear No Anvil, while Echidna has quills on her body, which when wielded as a needlekind/wandkind weapon becomes the Quills of Echidna (these can also operate the Scratch Mechanism, basically making an encounter with Echidna necessary if you want to Scratch, unless you get tricky of course. Good thing Hephaestus and Echidna are almost always the Time and Space Denizens, and that Time and Space always show up in every session).

A Denizen's weapons aren't technically the strongest in the game, because Zilly weapons upstage them easily, but if you ignore the Zilly category (which shouldn't be normally accessible, they're basically debug weapons), Denizen Weapons are in fact the strongest. They can still be alchemized, but the stat returns diminish harshly. Then again, you're almost always alchemizing them because Denizen weapons only come in the one form. If you got Fear No Anvil and don't use hammerkind, it's basically a paperweight.

Though I should also state, Denizen weapons are a sometimes thing. Denizens in general are weird and inconsistent. They never bug out or are affected by mods or anything of that nature. They know everything, somehow. Hephaestus and Echidna obviously align to the Time and Space aspect, and I've never heard of Cetus being given to anyone but a Light player, but there's several counter-examples you can produce that indicate Denizens aren't in fact determined by Aspect, despite so many other facets of the game being Aspect-determinant.

"Lucifer dropped Igneus Eden" sounds fake though. Not the Lucifer Denizen, everyone knows about that guy (though some people wig out when they learn for the first time). But I'm not even a hardcore Hades fan and I identified the pop-cultural source of that weapon. 100% someone alchemized that and orchestrated for you to find it. Alchemized weapons can be anything, but items like Denizen weapons are "game-original artifacts". Their references or allusions, they tend to be mythological, literary, or "retro" in nature. Even if Lucifer did in fact drop this, it was probably after a long series of shenanigans that ended with him as the last holder, thus making it not technically "his" weapon. Categorically different.

Welcome to the small rainy town of Mourningtide. There is little to do here, especially for bored young people on summer vacation. Little to do except explore, that is.

Hi! This is Icarus (@/icarianangel)! This is my collaborative multimedia project that I will be turning into a book when (if) it ends. Turn back if you don't want to participate, or just read it as it goes along!

PLOT INFO

This story is the tale of three teenagers (and some other characters, to be introduced later). Their names are Olivia, Noah, and Zilli. You can read about them in the character page or in the tag "the cast".

The tale takes place in the town Mourningtide, as mentioned above. This is a standard rainy, miserable little town, à la old detective stories. It is, however, a bit magical, as you will soon find out. Another important detail is that everyone in this world has object/animal heads, in the style of weirdcore. This is just a stylistic choice, but it will be mentioned. Each character's head type will be mentioned in their bio and art will be posted occasionally.

If we zoom a bit closer in, the story truly takes place in the Floodhouse, for which this blog and the story itself is named. This is a large abandoned manor house on the edge of town. You don't need to know anything else about this yet, as all will be revealed when the story begins.

PROJECT INFO

The Floodhouse will be told through a combination of story snippets, polls, asks, art, and potentially videos, as well as whatever else may come to mind in the moment. It will, for the most part, be linear, so if you are new, you can simply go to the first post and read from there!

It will be told through audience participation as much as possible, see please vote on polls, reblog and comment on posts, and send in asks! Through this, you can shape the story to your ideas! I know it can be scary to participate in things like this, but trust me, we will do our absolute best to make sure whatever you send in is used and we love seeing stuff from you!

The only rules for submission/interactions are:

No hate speech or cruelty of any sort

No NSFW as of the moment (the characters and the mod are minors so it's just kinda weird)

Make sure to specifically state if something you say is OOC (for lack of a better word), or it will not be taken as such

This should hopefully be obvious but, no soliciting or promotion on here? That's not what this is for lol

The blog will hopefully update quite a bit, but keep in mind I am still in school and have a life outside of tumblr (shocking, i know /sar)

Last but not least, DO NOT INTERACT IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH YOUR IDEAS AND INTERACTIONS BEING PART OF THE BOOK. I can't guarentee that it will ever be published, but I WILL be turning this into a full length story when it is over (date not set, it ends when it ends). I will do my best to credit everyone, but it's obviously very hard when this is being run through tumblr of all places, so keep this in mind when you interact.
