#zeno's art#i'm not sure if i should tag the show itself as i'm not a fan but i guess its “fan”art so i will#hazbin hotel#charlie hazbin hotel#vivziepop#i was bored and wanted to draw something#my main goal here was to create a design that looked distinct and could (potentially) be moderately easy to animate#of course based on charlie's character i added as many angel images as possible through the hair and bowtie#(i know white on white is a character design sin but i wanted to show the angel wing detail ;w;)#also to express the personality and juxtaposition of a sweet devil her horns are supposed to curve into a heart shape#of course the garterbelts are upside-down/st peters crosses because of her satanic themes#i also tried to go harder into the goat theme but its still subtle i think#i actually think the goat theme is really interesting because of the story of the sheep and the goats in the bible#but i cant remember if it was actually something intended in her original design#i'm not going to draw anyone else so dont even anticipate that#this was basically a cooldown? ok i think i'm rambling now#goodbye#ok edit to say it clearly: i am not a fan of vivziepop or her work. i just wanted to redesign charlie as a cooldown/exercise for fun#because i used to be a fan of the character before i wised up about what vivzie had and has done#and before i matured and noticed the cracks and fundamental flaws in her works#so yea i dont support her at all and this redesign is critical i guess#also the reason why the tag “vivziepop” is there in the first place is so that anyone who has that tag silenced can scroll past#without seeing anything related to her work. in case that clears anything up#its the same reason why i tag “long post” and “food” and the like

here's what i want to say, politely: I am really tired of people [specifically on twitter] complaining about the structure of the expansion draft. what's done is done. but you can still make a competitive team.
However, I do think someone did the math wrong. many people are focusing on how many people teams were allowed to protect, but I think the real math problem was how many the expansion teams were allowed to take.
going into expansion, each team had on average like 12 players' rights [under contract or RFA] with the rest set to become free agents. If you say each team can only lose 3, and you protect the 4th player after losing 2, more of the lower salaried players stay on their team. then, each expansion team ends up with 9 players or their rights, as do the original teams [more or less].
This also means that expansion teams still have options when it comes to who they can select [which is the issue with protecting more people when the number of free agents is so high]. this is instead of expansion teams ending up with 12 and original teams ending up with 8.
then, you go into free agency with every needing roughly the same number of players, and everything can even out.
#I took a class in college called congress#and the first thing we did was#the professor said you have a bunch of people in an area. what rules can you make [assuming everyone follows them exactly]#to get an accurate count of people#assume it was like upwards of 1000 people so you can't just do a head count#everyone still did the exercise under the assumption that they had to be foolproof not that everyone had to follow them exactly#moral of the story is don't make rules with assumptions in mind#and I think the pwhl made these rules with the assumption that most free agents would stay with their teams#and that expansion teams would sign unrestricted free agents in the exclusive period#which they didn't and I said they wouldn't#because why would you waste a spot on someone who would sign with you later regardless#like I said i'm so over people complaining about the outcome#like put your gm to work if you're so upset#but i did want to consider what actually could have been done differently to still keep expansion team competitive#while addressing the albeit moderately clear disparities in expansion team vs original team strength

Post-TTP, both Artemis and Butler have been marked by their adventures with the People. This scene has been (more or less) the basis of my headcanon that in the later books, Artemis experiences chronic pain.

He finds exercise and sports to be boring#I am not trying to pathologize that preference of Artemis (that is established in the early books)#but separate from preference about physical activity#I think Artemis experiences mild to moderate joint pain and migraines

Hey y'all! I am thinking about trying to get back in the habit of hitting the punching bag* more regularly, both because I used to love practicing martial arts and because I am hoping it will help turn slow tigers into fast tigers with this one neat trick** What music do you suggest to hit/kick a punching bag to? So far the best song I've found for it tempo-wise is "I Was Made For Loving You" by Kiss, because the drums/bass work really well to keep me from going too fast*** *once again I am confused about what verb to use for that. Kicking? Attacking? Practicing with???? **aka that one post about ending a physiological stress response by tricking your brain into thinking you'd defeated a short term stressor like a tiger ***because of the sodium Georg issues my heart likes to go fast and if I punch too much too fast it goes too fast and then I have to sit down and the metaphorical tigers win the fight lol

(I did some jumping jacks)#but today I also went a little too much too soon and my heart rate did get a little out of hand#not dangerous! or like#the only danger I am in is of overdoing it and passing out which is only dangerous if I fall#and my bp drops slowly enough that I always have time to sit down first if I need to#so this is perhaps not my wisest possible choice of ways to exercise but treadmills are so boring

I feel like the drastic lifestyle change coping options for me this winter will be:
a) start eating organ meat from my roommate’s work*
b) get into trail running in the mountains at 7:00 AM on weekends
c) crochet a blanket
d) swing from being a staunch Trader Joe’s avoider to one of those people whose every bite of food comes from the trader
e) break another rib
*farm school roommate, NOT ecoburial roommate
#is this unhinged?? I’m actually weller the past few days than I feel like I’ve been in like. a month. lol#I really feel like I’ve regained a sense of resiliency and joie de vivre again#the last month was really really hard like I shan’t get into it but it was a moderate breakdown#but I just had an amazing weekend full of things I love and good people and brunch and fun#and my rib is soooooo close to being healed enough for exercise

Last summer i decided to finally fix my diet and start weightlifting regularly and now about 10 months later I've lost a lot of weight and i feel a lot better, my advice is to keep weights in front of the tv, that way you can exercise while watching tv which makes it less boring (currently I'm watching House MD) also you don't have to do rigorous exercise for it to count, even a walk around the neighborhood regularly will do your body good.
Also when it comes to diet you don't have to quit junk food cold turkey, you just can't have it all the time, i will still eat junk food every month and get a small tray of cookies as a munchie snack that i will eat in the span of two sessions, also if you love chips i can't recommend flavored rice cakes enough, it scratches the same itch and it's filling in a way where i won't gorge myself on them.
That's my advice for anyone wanting to get their physical health in order, it sucks in the beginning but once you're in the routine it makes you feel so much better.(also keep far away from pro ana accounts pro ana is the devil)
#basically make exercise less boring and eat junk food in moderation i know life changing but it helped me#another part i like about eating better that when i finally treat myself to some actual chips it's the tastiest shit ever and i appreciate#it a lot more#got a can of pringles on Saturday that I've been slowly eating this week#it's peak

Look. I love modern medicine. It's great.
But can Albuterol please fucking not with the shakes. I am trying to figure out whether the whole mystery breathing issue is getting worse thank you and the anxiety-adjacent side effects are not helping knock it off.
#personal#this has already happened once#and the doc was all “okay your lungs sound better now; no crackling - you can stop the inhaler if you want”#a month later and moderate exercise still makes me need to sit down when previously I could run circles around “fit” people#time for my primary care doc; this shit ain't normal!#does he have any sort of in-person appointment anytime soon? course not but I'll take what I can get#“ok back to Albuterol and let's add a steroid cuz it sounds like you have inflammation as well”#note: there has been no x-ray and nobody has listened to my lungs in at least a month so I'm trying not to hear “this is a wild guess”#been on THOSE for a few weeks and I swear I'm getting worse and y'know what fuck it I'm taking a sick day tomorrow#for all I know I have Long COVID now fucking thank you society#venting#venting to the void#whatever#but UGH CAN SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE MY LUNGS DO THE OXYGEN THING.
