The story behind the "Nina Project" is a hint that Mike is gay/bi

I don't know if Bylers have already pointed this out, but the story Dr. Brenner gives on why it's called the "Nina Project" is a pretty on-the-nose parallel about El "waiting at the train station" for her lover (Mike) to arrive.

El hadn't seen her lover in months. Mike didn't write "love" in his letters. She waited at the airport for her lover to return:

But her "lover" never arrived:

The writers could have used any other memory-loss story, but they chose an obvious parallel to El waiting for Mike. They even changed the original story (where the lover actually turns out to be alive and returns), to make a point that he does NOT return.

Brenner says: "If only Nina could know THE TRUTH..."

By this point in season 4, El already knew Mike couldn't write or say that he loves her. What ELSE did she need to know?

What was "the truth"?

Yet another thing the Duffers will point to when Byler is revealed, to show that they planned it all along.

El continues to relive her earlier experience at the Nina Project. Joyce and Murray come up with a plan to rescue Jim, and Jim comes up with a plan to escape. Mike and the others turn to Suzie to help them locate El, while the Hawkins group try to find the gate in their reality.

*Disregarding the fact that IP geolocation doesn't exist in 1986, there wouldn't be an IP address to trace. They dialed directly, and did not use the internet at all. The peer-to-peer connection did not use TCP/IP, the technology that informs IP addresses.

pathologic 3 announcement made me return to the classic game and finally play it properly! i think my favorite part of the bachelor's route is when he talks to maria kaina (or whoever's in her body at the time) and they explain that their planned Utopia isn’t even supposed to be a 'perfect' place but instead 'the mystical manifestation of a world inscrutable and inaccessible to men' going back to the original meaning of the word irl and instead of despairing Daniil fervently agrees that this kind of unimaginable leap is worth it, no matter where it actually leads

Okay I now ship casual ninej (within kanej/helnik)

They're not dating and not friends but something that blurs the lines. Constant half joking flirting, Nina kissing Inej on the top of her head and Inej kissing Nina on the cheek. Them constantly cuddling. Them venting about random stuff and mocking the boy's abilities to flirt. Nina teaching Inej how to do makeup and dress, Inej teaching Nina to sneak around. Nina failing and both of them laughing. Nina comforting Inej when she falls into memories. Them laughing and crying and just being together. Going on what is definitely a date. Sharing pancakes and stroopwafels. Sometimes inviting Wy and Jes along. Sometimes inviting their boyfriends along. The boys don't really know whats going on.

Kaz and Matthias waiting for their girlfriends to come back over a game of cards and Kaz teaching Matthias some magic tricks.

Kaz : Everyone but struggles a bit to carry Nina or Matthias (bro is stubborn so he wont give up)

Inej : Everyone (with zero struggle) (all the work with climbing and parkour wasnt for nothing !!!)

Jesper : Wylan, Kaz and Inej only (maybe Nina but idk for that)

When will we start acknowledging that Wylan suggesting to wake the unconscious guards up before killing them isn't actually ruthlessness but blunt logic because he's taken Jesper's "I'm not big on killing unconscious men" at face value and responds accordingly since he has a very literal thinking pattern?
