There was a short segment where we get to hear Skully J. Graves (like, with the in-game live-2D model) monologue about Halloween. After saying good evening, he opens by… GiIVING YOU a KISS????? He literally announces it: “I greet you with a kiss” or (more directly) “I give a kiss to this good/wonderful encounter”.

The Japanese transcription for the line is 「この良き出会いにキスを。」 and キス is kisu/kiss… LIKE. I know he most likely means just a brief platonic kiss to say hello (similar to the European style where your lips don’t really touch the other person and it’s more like pantomiming a kiss on each cheek)… Or maybe he means a metaphorical kiss, not a literal one??? BUT STILL THAT’S SO BOLD TO START WITH, ESPECIALLY WITH A STRANGER (<- my inner Rollo Flamme comin’ out)

Edit: Now that the event is actually out, we can confirm that he does, in fact, LITERALLY kiss you (on the back of the hand) 😭

We all know that haikyuu is packed with life lessons, especially about growth and competition but one of the things that brought me so much comfort in life is the story of Miya twins. Both Osamu and Atsumu were hard workers but what differentiated them when it comes to volleyball prowess was their priorities. Osamu being a naturally gifted athlete was a major push in Atsumu's life; they made each other better (and worse in some ways). But it was Atsumu's choice to become a professional player and a great setter that pulled him ahead. Atsumu was dedicated to it and if Osamu wanted he could've reached the same skill level (or maybe even more).

Basically as long as you love and want something enough, despite there being "better" people out there, you'll reach greatness in your own right. And I think it's beautiful that consistent effort, even if it takes longer than "natural talent" (which is a topic for another day), will get you where you want to be.

Also, you can be good at something and even have potential to be greater and yet not choose it. You don't HAVE TO pursue anything just because it's expected or even possibly the most natural course for you to take. What matters is what you love.

After a heavy storm here comes the settling waves with effortless timeline in your life. What seems like luck from afar to people is your very sweaty and blood shed in the journey to how much peace your at your life and about everything that happened. From the separations to the sudden goodbyes that wasn't even an end. Still you kept going the grace of water is how your soup is made of you never stopped or settled truly so does you attract the unsettling emotions around. The people you hate showed you exactly what you dislike about yourself. My soft girl, you let this cold world grow ethereal into your soul with each passing experience. Okay I know you don't like compliments for that exhaustion of willingness you have to help others and to show up even if you are on the verge of drowning down but that's your way out to keep surviving. Not to butter but we your soul-mates and the divine is grateful for your service to the world for it takes courage to keep doing when you have barely been taking any deep breaths but only heavy sighs at life but you don't regret nor does this blinds you as pride rather this grounds your life, to ve something beyond an existence. So Thank You! Thank you for telling the world kindness, innocence, and good things that can come off as swords like to protect and shield at the same time.

I know, I understand how it feels to see everything before and being able to do nothing about it shows how everything isn't ours to be done said and being. Life is not a one way high road with no ends. It is an exchange of experiences, energies, frequencies where we set each other free from one another its complex a bit and that is what keeps you curious, passionate, and keep going without seeing any bar or metrics, rules or authority for you to thrive is all about that inner voice which speaks exactly when you are listening, through all the chaos you can hear something crystal as clear, is your calling your name written on certain things. You have learnt the hard way that as a human the only way to help others is two, one being an example or being an experience to them. And that's okay if it hurts both ways.
