Extremely annoyed bc I couldn't fall asleep for like 2 hours last night bc I was vividly hallucinating an entire scene for my novel but I have neither the time nor the energy to write it down atm and I'm so worried I'm gonna forget
#the gist was#sunny undercover sneaking into a super sketchy labor transport program to get back into theor homeland undetected#and detailed description of the travel throigh what is essentially Weird Interdimensional Space#while strapped inside a boat with lead plating bolted all over it#key points were that you cannot and do not need to breath while crossing but this is a very distressing thing to not do for 5+ hours#so sunny frustradedly and hurriedly explaining basic safety tips to this box full of scared essentially kidnapped people#also that bc of this theres a system of ome handed sign thats common practice in sailors#and they try to teach the folks a couple of basic ones#ALSO that the weird fish people who live in that shit find it very dificult to speak verbally like. at all. so they also co-opted this sign

Good News - June 8-14
Like these weekly compilations? Tip me at $Kaybarr1735! And if you tip me and give me a way to contact you, at the end of the month I'll send you a link to all of the articles I found but didn't use each week!
1. Rare foal born on estate for first time in 100 years
“The Food Museum at Abbot's Hall in Stowmarket, Suffolk, is home to a small number of Suffolk Punch horses - a breed considered critically endangered by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust. A female foal was born on Saturday and has been named Abbots Juno to honour the last horse born at the museum in 1924. [...] Juno is just one of 12 fillies born so far this year in the country and she could potentially help produce more of the breed in the future.”
2. The cement that could turn your house into a giant battery
“[Scientists] at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have found a way of creating an energy storage device known as a supercapacitor from three basic, cheap materials – water, cement and a soot-like substance called carbon black. [... Supercapacitators] can charge much more quickly than a lithium ion battery and don't suffer from the same levels of degradation in performance. [... Future applications of this concrete might include] roads that store solar energy and then release it to recharge electric cars wirelessly as they drive along a road [... and] energy-storing foundations of houses.”
3. New road lights, fewer dead insects—insect-friendly lighting successfully tested
“Tailored and shielded road lights make the light source almost invisible outside the illuminated area and significantly reduces the lethal attraction for flying insects in different environments. [...] The new LED luminaires deliver more focused light, reduce spill light, and are shielded above and to the side to minimize light pollution. [... In contrast,] dimming the conventional lights by a factor of 5 had no significant effect on insect attraction.”
4. When LGBTQ health is at stake, patient navigators are ready to help
“[S]ome health care systems have begun to offer guides, or navigators, to get people the help they need. [... W]hether they're just looking for a new doctor or taking the first step toward getting gender-affirming care, "a lot of our patients really benefit from having someone like me who is there to make sure that they are getting connected with a person who is immediately going to provide a safe environment for them." [... A navigator] also connects people with LGBTQ community organizations, social groups and peer support groups.”
5. Tech company to help tackle invasive plant species
“Himalayan balsam has very sugary nectar which tempts bees and other pollinators away from native plants, thereby preventing them from producing seed. It outcompetes native plant species for resources such as sunlight, space and nutrients. [...] The volunteer scheme is open to all GWT WilderGlos users who have a smartphone and can download the Crowdorsa app, where they can then earn up to 25p per square meter of Balsam removed.”
6. [Fish & Wildlife] Service Provides Over $14 Million to Benefit Local Communities, Clean Waterways and Recreational Boaters

“The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is distributing more than $14 million in Clean Vessel Act grants to improve water quality and increase opportunities for fishing, shellfish harvests and safe swimming in the nation’s waterways. By helping recreational boaters properly dispose of sewage, this year’s grants will improve conditions for local communities, wildlife and recreational boaters in 18 states and Guam.”
7. Bornean clouded leopard family filmed in wild for first time ever
“Camera traps in Tanjung Puting National Park in Indonesian Borneo have captured a Bornean clouded leopard mother and her two cubs wandering through a forest. It's the first time a family of these endangered leopards has been caught on camera in the wild, according [to] staff from the Orangutan Foundation who placed camera traps throughout the forest to learn more about the elusive species.”
8. Toy library helps parents save money 'and the planet'
“Started in 2015 by Annie Berry, South Bristol's toy library aims to reduce waste and allow more children access to more - and sometimes expensive - toys. [...] Ms Berry partnered with the St Philips recycling centre on a pilot project to rescue items back from landfill, bringing more toys into the library. [...] [P]eople use it to support the environment, take out toys that they might not have the space for at home or be able to afford, and allow children to pick non-gender specific toys.”
9. Chicago Receives $3M Grant to Inventory Its Trees and Create Plan to Manage City’s Urban Forest
“The Chicago Park District received a $1.48 million grant [“made available through the federal Inflation Reduction Act”] to complete a 100% inventory of its estimated 250,000 trees, develop an urban forestry management plan and plant 200 trees in disadvantaged areas with the highest need. As with the city, development of the management plan is expected to involve significant community input.”
10. Strong Public Support for Indigenous Co-Stewardship Plan for Bears Ears National Monument

“[The NFW has a] plan to collaboratively steward Bears Ears National Monument to safeguard wildlife, protect cultural resources, and better manage outdoor recreation. The plan was the result of a two-year collaboration among the five Tribes of the Bears Ears Inter-Tribal Coalition and upholds Tribal sovereignty, incorporates Traditional Ecological Knowledge, and responsibly manages the monument for hunting, fishing, and other outdoor recreation while ensuring the continued health of the ecosystem.”

Heyy, so I know you recently just made a post on how to cope with anxiety and one of the things you listed were meditation. I want to get into meditation but idk how to meditate. Idk what I should think about, or what to listen to in order to meditate. I’d like some advice on that if you may? Also I hope you’re having a good start on the new year 🩷.
Hi! Ok here is a step by step:
Find a quiet place where you wont be bothered and turn your phone off or put it on silent.
Sit in a chair, or the floor and keep your back straight shoulders relaxed and your hands on your knees or lap.
When I first started meditating, I used a guided app called 'headspace'. You can try it too.
Start with 5-10 minutes as first you basically have to figure out how to relax and draw a blank in your mind.
Close your eyes and take slow deep breaths. Pay attention to your breathing. Think about the air coming in and out of your nose. If your mind wanders bring your focus back to your breathing.
Once you are there, you can probably think about a word that calms you. Like peace.. or "om". Most people dont know this but the sound you making when you say 'om' creates a vibration that represents the fundamental energy of the universe. The vibrations resonate through the body and impact the mind and nervous system.
You can also start becoming aware of your body parts, starting with your toes and upwards. The Heightened awareness of physical sensations helps you feel more grounded in the present moment and anchors you. Becoming aware of these areas allows you to acknowledge and let go of emotional blockages because emotional pain is also stored in the body.
If your mind wanders (it will) just bring it back by acknowledging that you got distracted (this is important because not doing so creates resistance) then return back to being in tune with your body.
When the time is up, open your eyes gently and stretch or any feeling or idea that comes up, write it down.
The point of meditation is to create awareness and quiet the mind. It reduces stress helps bring you clarity. This helps with personal growth and regulate emotions, increases compassion and gratitude. Meditation enhances focus, improves productivity, and deepens the mind body connection. It can also lower blood pressure, improve sleep and reduce chronic pain. Most importantly, meditation anchors you in the present, helping you fully experience life.

Attack of the Replicons
The Biopharmaceutical Complex's self-amplifying mRNA assault has already begun.
NICOLAS HULSCHER, MPH
NOV 07, 2024
By Nicolas Hulscher, MPH
The Biopharmaceutical Complex is preparing for the large-scale deployment of replicon (self-amplifying) mRNA injections. There are currently at least 33 candidatesin development.
These products behave like a synthetic virus. The replicon mRNA is designed to encode not only the target antigen but also viral replicase, enabling the mRNA to replicate itself within the target cells. This replication machinery allows for an unknown period of toxic antigen production. Concerningly, none of the clinical trials have addressed the major concern of product shedding.
The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) are the primary funders behind this technology to combat ‘Disease X’. This is an extremely high risk ‘vaccine’ platform that should be avoided at all costs. Cellular installation of synthetic replicons requires decades of intense safety testing.
The very first replicon injection for human use received emergency use authorization (EUA) from The Office of the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) back in June 2022: Gennova Biopharmaceuticals’ GEMCOVAC-19. This was followed by reckless EUA approval in June 2023 for GEMCOVAC-OM, a replicon booster shot that targets the Omicron strain.
In November 2023, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) fully approved CSL and Arcturus Therapeutics' replicon shot: KOSTAIVE ARCT-154. Dismissing all concerns, Japan’s MHLW approved the updated booster shot in September 2024 to target the JN.1 lineage of Omicron subvariants.
In the clinical trials for ARCT-154, 5 deaths occurred among the injected in study phase 3b. Injected participants experienced a 90% adverse event rate (74.5% systemic - 15.2% required medical attention) after the first dose in study phases 1, 2, and 3a combined. Many of the authors are full time employees of Arcturus Therapeutics, meaning their conclusions are likely biased.
Meanwhile, the USDA quietly approved an experimental self-amplifying RNA injection for dogs developed by Merck in June 2024: Nobivac NXT Canine Flu H3N2. It appears that Merck is attempting to camouflage the fact that this product is self-amplifying. The primary product description only indicates that it uses “revolutionary RNA particle technology.” However, the novel platform works by RNA particles targeting dendritic cells, where they self-replicate and result in sustained antigen production.
The possibility of product shedding from dogs to humans or other animals was never tested. This injection is currently widely available for online purchase and canine administration. While the Biopharmaceutical Complex struggles to get self-amplifying mRNA injections approved for humans, they seem to have no problem targeting our pets.
Deployment of this experimental platform has continued in September 2024 to target cats: Nobivac NXT FeLV. Nowhere in the product brochure does it mention the RNA self-amplification mechanism of action. They hope that unsuspecting vets won't think twice about accepting the 'new and improved' product. The so-called 'safety' data for this product is as follows:
“Demonstrated safety under field conditions" from "Data on file. Merck Animal Health."
In other words, no public safety data is provided. It's become abundantly clear that the pharmaceutical industry and captured regulatory agencies have zero regard for the massive safety concerns of undefined synthetic mRNA replication resulting in uncontrolled toxic antigen production. These experimental injections must not receive further regulatory approval for humans or animals if we are to prevent another public health disaster. All self-amplifying mRNA injections currently available for humans and animals should be immediately withdrawn until comprehensive, long-term safety studies are conducted.

alongside this picrew, share 5 things about yourself! • how do you spend your free time? • what are your hobbies and how did you get into them? • what book or movie left a lasting impression on you? • what kind of music do you enjoy? • who is your favorite character (atm or all time) and why?
Thank you for the tag @arrowmance! This is so cute omg. (°◡°♡)
• How do you spend your free time?
I love to read! I have over 10k bookmarks on my ao3 account and I like to dive through them when I'm too overwhelmed to be creative myself. I've been writing for a long time but have only been posting fandom works online in the past couple years (most notable in the OM fandom which is what most people probably know me for). I also have a side blog project for my other fandoms. I'm also a gamer at heart! I am constantly resisting the urge to start playing WoW again. I like retro gaming in addition to some mobile titles. And of course, I watch a lot of movies, TV shows, and anime!
Unfortunately I work a lot and it tires me out, so some days I don't get much of anything else done.
• What are your hobbies and how did you get into them?
Reading & Writing - Probably the hobbies I come back to more than anything else! According to my parents, I was very quiet as a toddler and didn't like to talk - but I liked listening to them read stories to me, and I picked up reading quickly too. I wrote my first "story" in grade two (about our family cat that died, became a ghost, and haunted our house) and the teachers had them bound so they were like our own little books. I've been dabbling with writing fanfic and original stories since.
Gaming - My dad raised us mostly by himself, but he was a sci-fi/fantasy nerd and gamer himself, so I grew up with basically every console that released starting with the NES and everything that came after that. I have some retro game consoles for emulating the older systems along with my Switch and PC. I also played WoW for sixteen years.
• What book or movie left a lasting impression on you?
My favourite book is Pillars of the Earth. I spent a lot of time reading (and re-reading) this book as a tweenager and it sparked my interest in history/historical fiction.
I also read She's Come Undone as a teen and I won't say why, but that book resonated with me for a lot of reasons.
• What kind of music do you enjoy?
I like a little bit of everything! I still listen to a lot of music I grew up with. Some of my favourite groups/artists include: Apocalyptica, Oomph!, Muse, Garbage, and The Tea Party. I also listen to a lot of epic orchestral music like soundtracks and trailer music.
• Who is your favorite character (atm or all time) and why?
Some of my current favourite characters are:
— Barbatos / Asmodeus / Solomon from Obey Me — Mahito from JJK — Fyodor and Mori from Bungou Stray Dogs — Kafka from Kaiji no. 8 — Crowley and Skully from Twisted Wonderland — David (the Alien franchise)
I...I can't explain why I like them. It's probably better that I don't. lol
🔖 OPEN TAG! But no-pressure tagging some of my lovelies: @oopsiedaisymae @chosonie @arvandus @silverrings-n-prettythings @meggs-live-now @featheredcrowbones @antique-remains @lonely-north-star @misc-magic @saturnvamp @hauntedhokage

No—-day 5-9) Wat-r damage and Fami-ia-
Data-Scrambled————wat-r dam-ge, note- cle— aft- int-o
[The added introduction portion of her notes is pretty damaged, as well as day 9.]
Hi talkbox! Combining all my notes for a bit, staying on this plane called Theros for some wandering. I arrived at this party, and met some cool friends! Vasro and people, I’m getting some form of an idea who each person is! Which is exciting because, I don’t think I ever experienced friendship? Like not in a sad way, but more a ‘We’re all representing ideas and things we don’t bond so much as we synergise’ or, something. But, they’re DIFFERENT to me! Like- Raqsai are all a little similar, we all love music and performing and art right? They each have their own focuses and goals, and, it’s so cool!
The party got, a little intense. This is relevant because, I saw one of everybody’s common goals that day. There was this tall woman, looked like a new person I met but older. Apparently these guys all get born into the world by kind of old looking versions of themselves, rather than falling out of the great fractals’ open wounds, bubbling into life in the ruinous fluid. But everyone became, agitated. Defensive. They were kind of, I don’t know. Intimidating? Curse the low and high frequency words of my performance! But, the intimidating-ness. They got quite, loud. I left, pursued by one of the satyrs, I think. He’s currently extremely drunk, passed out over a branch behind me. I’m gonna wander this plane when he’s sobered up.
I heard theatre is powerful here. I want to become part of one of these systems, with money and that, and perform. Not be, imprisoned back home. Ordinances suck!
Hey all, still wandering. It’s day six now, I’ve so far seen a sign post and trees, big ones. They get thinner a long walk away, I’m gonna go there.
I also killed a beast! And ate it. Very crunchy, very feathery. I met it when it sang, I danced to it’s rhythm, and it got offended. Flew down, tried pecking at my face, in the little divets above the nose. I flung out this basic melody, it perished.
Day seven, ughhh HEAT! I said so much nothing yesterday, and none of it got caught. I’m in a city though, very coastal. Claims to be worshipping something. Thassa? Regardless, it’s so wonderfully stony. And sharp, the corners of the new buildings seem to be tipped a little in red, from people grazing them. They don’t much like music or dance here, claims it distracts from worship. They like hearing my travel stories though, and I got a couple coins! Not made of chocolate, but metal these are. Spent them on food, lovely stuff they catch here, and I wandered down to the beach. I’ve buried myself in this little hole in the rocky wall that holds the glowing tower. Cliff, under Thassa’s offering place. She won’t be too upset, I’m sure. The locals don’t claim to know her personally? Seems a little silly, not knowing who you’re handing food to, not seeing them ever. But they see what she’s done, and she does things like send fish for them. Suppose they’re smarter than me, it’s their plane afterall.
They look up at, these stars. It’s day eight now, I’m basically the same place I was before. Which is, unnatural for me. I feel like I’m being held here, some unknown force desires me to stay here. But it feels so unnatural, like- it’s supposed to be dry. Everywhere. But there’s a wet liquid here. Water, it’s common, we see it but- this prominently? I suppose the others saw it more. Raqsai zones weren’t allotted near what I guess is a sea. We’re always landlocked, we must never meet the tides! Or so the Shamashen would tell us. But, I love it here. There’s a man in the water, who watches my experience here.
I’m heading up to the cliff, to see the great view. I don’t know if I’ll say much tomorrow, I’m taking food from that offering place anyway. We all steal ideas, things cannot be too much different.
D-y 9, ———sea———vengef-bast—wave of wa-e————-f—-brok—-Vas-o,———h-s—-ome———-Capen-a,———-appoi——nee-ed?——Thassa——-stormy mood——apost——-
[The remainder of what was said is totally gone. Her entries before day 9 were perfectly intact.]

"A 'night' scene of the STS-5 Space Shuttle Columbia in orbit over Earth's glowing horizon was captured by an astronaut crew member aiming a 70mm handheld camera through the aft windows of the flight deck. The aft section of the cargo bay contains two closed protective shields for satellites which were deployed on the flight. The nearest 'cradle' or shield houses the Satellite Business System's (SBS-3) spacecraft and is visible in this frame while the Telesta Canada ANIK C-3 shield is out of view. The vertical stabilizer, illuminated by the sun, is flanked by two orbital maneuvering system (OMS) pods."
