One thing that makes Hook and David’s relationship so compelling is that, at it’s core, it’s about misunderstanding.
A prince who has a deep hatred for immorality, corruption and thievery hating pirates because they epitomise it all. Hating Hook because he’s a pirate and never stopping to see anything past that - not realising Killian became a pirate because he shares most of that hatred, because he wanted to stop immorality and corruption from destroying anymore people than it already had after it takes his brother from him. Because he cares about honour and family and good form but doesn’t show it how David does and instead gets pulled down a dark path.
A pirate who became the way he is because he hates the corruption of the monarchy. Someone who dislikes royals that abuse their power and control their subjects taking David to be that very thing but not understanding that David wasn’t always royal, that he grew up poor and taken advantage of by the crown just like Killian. Not realising David had family taken by a corrupt King’s exploits just like he did, that David lost his life and home because of the exact same things.
THEY MAKE ME SICK

I love this.
They made a movie about you. It was pretty Good!
Aurora, your ass took a lil snooze, take a sleep and see if you can find them.
Oh shit she's still alive.
Ope not for long.

Now she's dead dead.
Good.

FILET THE BITCH

I don't know how to explain what a movie is.

Since when did thr Enchanted forest get bleach for robin hood to dye his hair?
That noise?
That was me audibly sobbing at "see these markings? He's keeping track of me growing. "

Good lines from regina but David's "don't call my wife a slag" is hilarious to me.
But yay they work together, save emma, and the storm goes away.

Aw henry is always a believer. Of course he can fly you doubtful suspicious kid.

He's such a fucking nerd and I love him.

But this look is sooo slutty. Reminiscent of that outfit he wore with David helping him find snow.
When was rumple in Nederland and why does pan sound like his frenemy with that greeting?
Why the fuck does pan want henry??
What's the deal with pan and rumple? What history do they have with this "then nothings changed" bullshit?

WHY IS THIS DOLL MAKING HIM CRY??
#no one tell me#but i want to speculate as i watch#what the fuck is up with all thr pan shit?#i love henry and his pure believer heart#i love slutty sassy nerd rumple#rumplestiltskin nerd at heart#sassy bitch rumplestiltskin#emma swan#neal cassidy#nealfire#baelfire#rumplestiltskin#slutty rumplestiltskin#all that chest exposed#henry mills#peter pan whatever the fuck youre up to#i dont like it#ouat rumple#lem watches ouat#ouat#once upon a time#regina mills#captain hook#killian jones#robin hood#mulan#snow white#mary margaret blanchard#david nolan#prince charming

I miss OUAT... not because it was such a great show or anything... but I miss the the Captain Swan fandom days, the experience of being part of a community. Of hunting for spoilers, speculating about storylines, suffering through cliffhangers and hiatuses, writing and reading fanfics, analyzing characters, and yes, even the occasional drama. The shipmates, fandom friends.
Never before and never after the OUAT/CS fandom I've been part of such a vibrant, creative, funny and passionate community.
It's been a great few years, and I just miss it.

I'm honestly gonna go into this hiatus cautiously optimistic. I DO think BuckTommy will get back together.
I know there's a lot of people feeling down, which is 1000% VALID, but from my pov ignoring and not analyzing what the creator and writers could plan on doing for season 9 and focusing on what we saw in season 8, I think there is a lot of potential for movement between Buck and Tommy.
Now I don't know or want to speculate how that will happen, but everything still seems open and not fully closed just like with the break up. The break up didn't seem final and then they reunited during the hookup and helicopter where there seemed to be a glimmer of possibility of something good happening.
In my opinion, with Bobby dying and the focus on the 118's feelings seemed more important in the last episodes, plus honoring Bobby's legacy, and wrapping up some of the simpler storylines that have been on going like Mara's adoption and the Madney baby, felt like they needed to be completed now, and not next season. In comparison to others like Buck and Tommy reconciling, which can be developed, molded, grown next season. As well as, Athena's storyline, however that pans out.
I could ramble on longer, but I will give you the words from my previous fandom, which is 👇
"True love isn’t easy but it must be fought for because once you find it, it can never be replaced." Prince Charming, Once Upon A Time (2011-2018)
“Believing in even the possibility of a happy ending is a very powerful thing.” Snow White, Once Upon A Time (2011-2018)
p.s. I know, I know these quotes come from a fairytale show, and not a procedural but I stand by it, does that make me biased and seeing things though a certain lens b/c I was tainted by OUAT, sure but whatever.

Hii ⌛⌛⌛⌛⌛⌛ may i ask.
And also I've got a question abt this wip. Is Bobby gonna be a father to Mateo or like a grandfather? Yeah, Mateo is biologically his, but the boy didn't know him and now Buck is gonna be like a second father (when bucktommy resolve this misshap of course) and Bobby is like a father to Buck which makes him a grandfather to Mateo.... It's something like from a "once upon a time" where you can relate to one character by so many ways.🤔 Anyway, sorry for this long nonsense 😅 It's so interesting to see how and where it goes
(just to be clear, this is still from my old make me write game hehe, but I'm only posting it now, and i'll link my new one at the bottom, ok? cause this fic is still an option!)
Hiii love! Of course you may! Lemme address your question before giving you the excerpt though! You're absolutely right that there's a OUAT vibe to this lol! 😅 I hadn't realized but now I can't unsee it and I love it haha And omg you have nothing to apologize for do you know how happy it makes me to see ppl speculating about my fanfics? ♥ the dynamics exploration between all of them was one of the main reasons why I wanted to write this! Now, I do think this might be a point of tension between them. Bobby will not want a grandfatherly role, he'll want a fatherly role because Mateo is his son, and he has a lot of lost time to make up for. But Buck (once he and Tommy work things out) will also get closer to Teo, and he's younger, and he's so great with kids, and Bobby might worry about this very fragile position he's finding in his son's life, and it might be bring tension between him and his other son. (Not to mention Buck's worries... 'if Bobby has a 'real' son now, what place do I take in his life?'. Suffice to say, there's drama for alll sides ahead hehe)
Anywayyyy, now that I've ranted lots (sorry about that!), I'll add 20-ish sentences below the cut for you. Thank you again for this ask Rina dear, and I'm sorry I went a little overboard hehe!
- ⌛ (cont. from here)
"Out of all the things that Tommy expected Bobby to say, this was certainly not it. He's upset about losing Evan, of course, but, in the grand scheme of things, he should have known it was too good to be true.
“It's just as well, Bobby. He'd have broken up with me when I told him the truth anyway. This way at least Mateo didn't get attached to him before it happened” Tommy muses, motioning for Bobby to sit.
Tommy slides him the glass he filled and then fills another one for himself. Then, he sits in front of Bobby, trying to think how on Earth they should start this conversation. A conversation that should have happened seven years ago.
“Did you… Did you even think about telling me? Back then?” Bobby asks, sounding impossibly sad.
A rush of anger rushes through Tommy, and he sighs deeply, trying to swallow it. It won’t help anyone, and especially not Mateo, if he loses his temper with Bobby. He has his own truth to spill out, but he’ll try to do it with no resentment. It’s been too long for it now anyway.
“Of course I did. Do you think I wanted to raise him on my own? Go through a pregnancy alone?” Tommy asks, and tries not to cry when he remembers every milestone and fear he lived on his own. “But you didn’t want to listen.”
“What do you mean I didn’t want to listen? Tommy, I had no idea!” Bobby tries to justify himself, and Tommy believes him, but that’s too little, too late.
“My last day at the 118, remember? I went to your office after the party, and you assumed I was there to say I had feelings for you, that I wanted to keep seeing you even if I weren’t at your station anymore.” Tommy recalls, his voice completely detached, as if that hadn’t been the worst heartbreak of his life (until tonight, a small treacherous voice provides, and he pointedly ignores it). “Do you remember what you told me?”
- There you go love, I hope you enjoy it and that you have a wonderful week! ♥ (make me write - new one)

I need you to understand how much the Rumbelle fandom FREAKED OUT when we saw Belle in the episode "Dreamy".
Because even though Skin Deep ends with the reveal that Belle is alive and locked away, Emilie had not signed onto OUAT full-time and we had no idea if Rumple and Belle would ever see each other again.
So after "Fruit of the Poisonous Tree" and "What Happened to Frederick", we write fic, we speculate, we hope...
and then BAM. In the GRUMPY episode of all things, there's Belle!
I remember how EXCITED this made everyone, because it was a clear sign the writers wanted to bring her back for more. That they liked the story they told with Belle and Rumple and wanted to explore it more.

So, I was rereading Chapter 5 of OUAT, and it just registered to me what the statue meant. Like, I didn’t really pay much attention to it at first (because I was too excited for the update lol), but rereading it now, I just now see the messed up implications. Like, Cybertronians literally rewrote history. They made it seem as if both sides were protecting humans, specifically the three children, as if both sides were interested in preserving the native population, which is obviously not what happened. It was Megatron who wanted humanity gone, it was Megatron who wanted to claim Earth for his own and it was Megatron who ultimately destroyed it (as far as Cybertronians know.) So seeing him cradling the kids, as if he was also the one protecting them is just… so infuriating. It makes sense for Optimus to be depicted, because he was the one to truly care about the children, but Megatron being there is such a slap in the face. No wonder June almost snaps. Seeing someone, who held no regard or respect to your species and wanting to actively kill you, being depicted as a sort of hero is so…jajdfcvkh, I can’t put it into words! To add to this, Optimus was the one who built the Archival Project, so was he the one who made or commissioned the statue? It seems unlikely, but I saw in one of your posts mentioning that the bots don’t talk about Earth to others? Implying that they also don’t really talk about the true events that transpired there. So, were they the ones who fabricated the story in an attempt to bring the peace treaty between Decepticons and Autobots closer, or were these just speculations they let to cultivate? Either way, the whole statue scene is so messed up…
Yep, that statue was an important hint and existed in the first drafts of OUAT. Earth has done something similar, but instead of rewriting the truth it just isn't widely known. The information is there, but it takes a level of effort to get to it.
But you are 100% correct, history has been rewritten and the more concerning details of the truth have been tweaked for a more acceptable narrative. This will cause some confusion when the new Prime decides to lead some peace-keeping efforts.
It was a combination of speculations and white lies that caused the entire "propaganda" to form. Elements of the organic Earth remain via recorded media and some artifacts that were on the Nemesis (thanks to quite a few vehicons and KO). Those glimpses into a society so similar and yet so different from Cybertron sparked something in the war-torn generations. For some, that is the only taste of peace-time that they've ever had, for many, it's a reminder of what they lost.
When the treaty went into effect, for the first time in millennia, there was time to focus on something beyond the next battle. With that sudden shift away from warfare, there was be bit of a vacuum and sentimentality developed a deep anchor. Humanity's remnants became a way to channel that. (hence why Stunbolt knows some Japanese... the bot is a weeb).
But Cybertronians only know fragments of humanity, heavily edited fragments that were produced for entertainment purposes.
Of course, eventually, someone asks what happened to the humans. Are they still there? Why are they gone? Obviously, some of their species made it to the planet, so what happened?
And of course, no one bothers to answer the questions. They don't really care. They don't deserve to know.
So the Autobots hold the treaty's tributes tight and keep their mouths shut. The Decepticons don't say anything either, but their silence isn't as absolute.
Rumors spread. A word at a bar. A half-sparked muttering overheard. A sentence picked apart by obsessed fans that have nothing better to do than focus on this little mystery.
The world was destroyed.
It was an accident.
It was on purpose.
It was a disaster.
It was a force of nature.
The narrative pieces itself together. Sentiment winding with truth, blurring the lines between what was and what might have been. Eventually, the tale is so disjointed from reality that it is nothing more than fiction, a once upon a time that makes even the ones who know the truth feel a little less guilty about their part in it.
Earth is dead. It isn't coming back, so what is the harm in lying when no one can get hurt anymore?
When the Children finally die, the last tie to the truth is severed.
Team Prime has mixed feelings about it. Arcee finds it appalling, even as she keeps her silence. She hasn't visited the memorial in years, unable to step foot in the tomb housing her partner's preserved body when she is allowing his sacrifices to be erased. Bulkhead is similarly torn, the lies help to ease things, to create connections between sides and a middle ground. But he would be lying if he said he never wanted to pound a mech's face every time they started speaking of Earth. He and Jackie will change the conversation, and laugh it off before disappearing so Bulk can drown himself in high grade and Wheeljack can sharpen his sword. They don't talk about it. They don't talk about it or else they'd argue about visiting for the death-day anniversary. They have their own memorial, pictures set up instead of a body and that is enough. Bulkhead doesn't need to go traversing across the galaxy to pay respects when the memories of his sparkling are right there.
Bumblebee doesn't talk at all. It's not hard when he can barely vocalize properly anyway. He doesn't talk, but his optics scream murder. Ratchet is used to this. He remembers political machinations such as this from his days waiting on politicians during the Golden Age. If this sacrifice is what it takes to keep some semblance of order and peace, then he will bow his helm and remain silent. He still has a drawer in his personal quarters that he keeps locked. The equipment he built, too tiny for any use now, but once had brought comfort to the three ailing organics. He doesn't open the drawer, but he does visit the Archive every 360 earthen days on the anniversary of their return from Megatron. He apologizes and hopes that it might be enough. His spark knows it isn't.
Optimus is ashamed. The memorial site was constructed, and the statue was meant to depict the unification of their species through a shared love of the tributes, of the children, but it quickly turned into something out of hand. They had not dismissed the rumors of Earth's ending, and now, the Prime had all but confirmed that the loss of such a young and beautiful world had been a freak accident that both factions had come together over. Mourned together over. He does nothing but nod and approve the project. No one present knows him well enough to see the disgust and sorrow that mars his optics. No one but the mech seated across from him.
Megatron shares that disgust. He has his own feelings concerning his failings and the humans, but they are a complex mass that no fairy tale could hope to explain. He winces as Rodimus Prime launches into a speech about the asteroid attack and the value of preserving life. He does not contradict. He simply leaves.
Oh yes. Once upon a time, he would have felt nothing over humanity dying. He didn't care one way or another about the collateral damage between him and his ultimate prize, but now... Now the warlord was disgusted at himself for becoming a part of the same system he had dismantled to begin with. The same lies.
Rumors started with negligence. But the Archival Project is opened with falsehoods pouring out of the intake of a mech who could never know better.
Humanity would be rolling in their graves had they known.
Instead, they're digging their way out, and soon, they'll find out for themselves.
#welp this isn't going to back fire#cue intense confusion when peeps finally meet#like im not kidding the galatic drama is going to be complex#ao3 author#ao3#tfp#transformers prime#aligned continuity#once upon a time

How are my fellow Stolitz fans doing?
I'm shockingly, okay. I was convinced the lack of a happy ending to the last episode might lead to a bummer of a summer (8 years later, the spoiler-caused ouat meltdown of the summer of 16 still lays heavy on my mind). But...haters be damned, I enjoyed the writing, the character arcs, and I have to admit, it might be too soon for everything to be fine. And, strangely, things seem better than after Full Moon. We've gotten COMMUNICATION. Messy, shouting, crying, misfires, but most importantly: further dialogue. We gotten drunken Stolas and jealous Blitz.
Have I watched either episode completely since they aired? HELL NO! Have I been able to listen to "All 2 U" more than once, despite adding it to my music? NOT HAPPENING ANYTIME SOON. For that, I'll need my happy ending. I know my limits.
For now, when I think of the show, I seem to have gone back into the safe fantasy mode:
but I really should stop speculating about future episodes because:
A) I've been wrong 90% of the time. And
B) I end up creating WAY too depressing scenarios in my head. And even though the show can bring the tears, it usually carries a good balance of staying on the humorous side. (see part A, and cue the Crowley wrong dance gif, because up until this point (bite tongue) it's never been as bad as I thought it would be.)
Nope, until Halloween (we all know we ain't getting the new episode until around the 31st), I'll try to mainly focus on the ghost of fan fiction past:
that and some spoilers. Whatever can get me through another hiatus while hopefully trying to keep my enthusiasm going.
Hope you all are doing okay!

I'm back on my blog reading my fastidiously documented thoughts and speculation about season 5 of OUAT and I know it's cliche to say you could have written it better than the professional writers, but I could have written it better.

OUAT Week Day 3: Favorite fan theory
Who was Tamara?
Allegedly from the Land Without Magic, Tamara knew of magic's existence, hated it, and wanted to destroy it. Why?
It's been speculated by many fans that Tamara was actually a fairytale/literary character of some kind. The question of which character is up for debate; there are plenty of potentially interesting options. I've seen old theories that she was Wendy Darling or Dorothy Gale from before we met OUAT's actual versions of those characters. Of course, thanks to Season 7, we know that there are multiple versions of each story in OUAT's world, so she could still be Wendy or Dorothy after all. She also could've been a fairytale character we never met -- Baba Yaga, perhaps, or Morgan le Fay. Personally, I would've loved it if she had a strong connection to the main characters besides just Baelfire -- imagine if she had been Maleficent's daughter who the Charmings kidnapped and screwed over, or if she had been Captain Hook's daughter, now engaged to his greatest enemy's son.
Regardless of specifics, I would've loved for Tamara to be some sort of fairytale/literary figure, and for her to play a larger role in OUAT's narrative. Her character had a ton of potential, and Sonequa Martin-Green would've absolutely delivered. Alas, this particular fan theory will forever be just that: a theory.
#once upon a time#ouat#userstorybrooke#tamara ouat#thinkin about her (character who appeared in 7 episodes of a 155 episode tv show and did not have a canonical last name) again...#and it's the story of us

REGINA MILLS ANALYSIS
I may get things wrong, so I'm putting information I know of or believe in the most. I still may get it wrong, so correct me. I'm going to talk about Regina's problematic actions, relationships she was in, and a bit of widely talked about topics. Also, most of the posts about her are outdated and later proven to be wrong. So I had to put points that are now and have been canon since the show ended.
CONTAINS: Opinions
-
Regina Mill's personality goes easier throughout the show. From being manipulative to caring but still having that s1 spark. She expresses her caring to her old enemies, aka, The Charmings.
From the flashbacks, we see Regina adopt a child named Henry. She went from having almost full vengeance and revenge still pent up in her heart to having a mix of both love and darkness due to Henry.
-
Yes, Regina was rude to her citizens of Storybrooke. But most of what she did (in later seasons) was use sarcasm. Let's jump into her actions.
Problematic Actions:
- R4pe (Graham Specifically) for 28 years
- Manipulate Henry for years ( calling his 'theory' of fairytales fake)
- Violence (to Villages and People)
---
Let get into the r4pe part first. Of course, even as someone like a Regina stan should not excuse this behavior. Me, aka a person who likes her but doesn't excuse and will NEVER excuse her problematic actions, especially this one in particular.
Regina had raped Graham for around 28 years.
One sentence that implies it, even for a little bit, is in the episode where Graham (huntsman at the time) meets Regina for the first time. She says
"Take him to my bedchamber,"
I know it's short. But why else would someone say that. Just think about that.
And also the fact that Regina most definitely (for the curse) made Graham engage with her romantically and sexually. Even though it was obvious that he didn't like her that way in the Enchanted forest or most likely ever. Not to mention she had his heart, and in ouat logic hearts are used to control people, so when doing stuff with Regina both romantically and sexually, he was forced to because Regina gave him orders.
-
Now we go to Manipulating Henry.
For ten whole years, Henry has lived and grew up with Regina. He loved his mother (even though she's not his bio mom). Until Henry got the book, and Emma had revealed that Henry had a book and kept on saying everyone in town are fairytale characters that are cursed (which ofc is true). Regina, unknowing of her sons correct theory /speculation/ belief, was visibly shocked. And when she found out that Snow (Mary) had given the book to him, she didn't want that at all. And even set up Emma into saying that Henry was
'crazy' when Henry was nearby. So that she can attempt to stop him from thinking of his speculation and them bonding.
All of this was to make sure Henry couldn't connect and hate his birth mother so that she could have him as his own. And also because Henry was right, and she didn't want her son of ten years to hate her for her sins.
--
Explaining the cause of her actions. NOT JUSTIFING HER PROBLEMATIC ACTIONS, IM JUST EXPLAINING WHY SHE DID THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Justify means to show or prove to be right or reasonable.
While to explain means to be the cause of or motivating factor for an action.
I know explain has many definitions or ways to explain what it means and one means to justify. While mine means to simply explain the cause or motivation towards the action.
-
There's no doubt Cora was abusive to Regina. And before you start, there's different types of abuse. The abuse Cora does to Regina is Mental and Emotional. Maybe physical but still very debatable and unclear.
For emotional, Cora visibly and directly shows that Cora wants to control Regina. She wanted Regina to do something Regina didn't want just so Cora could have what SHE wanted. And Emotional abuse means to, "target a person's feelings, it uses emotions to manipulate, punish, and achieve control." That heavily reminds me of Cora killing Daniel to gain more control of Regina. And if you didn't already know.
And there's scenes where Cora would grab Regina forcefully with vines to STOP Regina from moving or walking away from her. Cora said in one of the scenes, "Don't you dare walk away from me!" Then proceed to grab Regina using vines from her Magic. Also, her father, Henry, said to Regina that Cora wanted control over her and if Regina continues with her evil actions, her mother had achieved to controlled her. Because, everything Cora did to Regina was calculated. Daniel's Death, The marriage, the abuse, and it was all to get Reina to become evil. In s2 i think, (the Angstiest Regina Season), Regina goes to Archie upset and with TEARS in her eyes because, she used magic, because she used magic. And she Didn't want to use magic against Henry like her mother. After she did so, she was upset because she broke her own promise to not use magic against Henry. Also because it reminded her of what her mother did to her, and she did want to pass it down for Henry.
Also Cora in s2, came Storybrooke (her daughters town) not only to reunite with Regina but to BREAK HER... like wtf. And Regina is Already upset because Henry is growing distant to her. But Cora, literally
frames her own daughter for murder. While the whole fucking town is already against her.
For Mental, theres an episode where Cora forms Regina's thoughts by saying, "Sometimes I wonder if the people actually like you". And Cora seems to have an influence in Regina's world view, of Wolf and Sheep. Regina States in the episode where she meets the huntsman (Graham).
(Got the episode part from a Tumblr poster from ouatanalysis) aka:
-
Now back to what I was saying about Cora. Cora had forced Regina into marriage. BUT as you could tell as time went on Regina had decided to use her relationship with Leopold to gain control, because that's what her mother said, about something along the lines of, "power is useful" before she sent her mother through the mirror.
And her mother sent her to a marriage with a broken old ass man who was still grieving his wife. Which lead to the neglect from Leopold to Regina. It was stated by Regina herself that Leopold would often leave Regina by herself at the castle that at points she felt like the 'Queen of Nothing'.
And for me i feel like Regina (forgive me for wording this part wrong) was considered her as a mourning tool. Like, "Oh my wife died 8 years ago, lets get another one to help with and to deal with me". Yes he may have also gotten Regina because she seemed like a good mother figure fit for Snow, but still, most likely half the woman population of Leopolds age from Leopolds kingdom would save Snow from the horse in a heartbeat if they were there and they would show genuine feelings for Leopold. However, he chooses, a woman who's 18 and lives away.
--
Not only Cora and Leopold influenced Regina's bad perspective and actions, Rumple also did too.
Rumple saw Regina as a person wanting power and wanting to stand out and not seem as weak and took the opportunity as the dark one to turn Regina evil.
Regina at first was hesitant to say that she liked using magic due to her not wanting to be like her mother and also due to her mother's actions with her, with magic.
But time happens and Regina uses more and more of magic for evil and frightens villages and kills Villagers who helped Snow in the slightest bit.
I still stan her because she changed, she's reformed and she would never do that stuff again (r4pe, use magic against Henry or manipulate him, or m4ss murd3r).
ANYWAYS, this was heavily controversial. But if your going to criticize/correct parts, be respectful and mature about it instead of wanting to start a riot. Saying "Fuck you", "Go die in a hole", "Kys", "I hope your house burns down". And be respectful, if you want to critigue/correct me at certain parts, by all means, go ahead, but tell me what parts I went wrong instead of telling me to kms.
NOTE: This is from May 2023, but I just remembered this now. And parts didn't make sense so I changed it up to make it better.

final cress thoughts!!!!
i absolutely inhaled that book holy shit lol. got winter at the bookstore today because shipment just arrived and i gotta say it's HELLA chonky. i am EXCITED. of course fairest will have to come first
since the plan has been explained to us the readers, that means it's DEFO gonna go wrong (note: it did - sybil ambushed them)
god why is cress married to everyone. first thorne now wolf
rolling my eyes sighing bile is rising in my throat. i CANNOT take this alpha nonsense. admittedly when cress says it in a brightest star of a constellation way, that's cute. unfortunately the omegaverse connotations cancels it out completely
OMG CINDER AND KAI FINALLY. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SO LONG. rip to everyone that was reading these as they came out because i can't imagine how PAINFUL it would have been to wait two years for them to see each other again as opposed to me just binging the books across like 3 weeks max by the time i finish the series
respect for torin holy shit that must have been SUCH a hard choice for him to make to not only let the prince go but to reveal his tracker chip
NO ERLAND IS NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE LETUMOSIS AND HE'S NOT ALLOWED TO DIE AND HE HAS TO REUNITE WITH CRESS. CRESS NEEDS TO KNOW. I AM LITERALLY IN STUDIES OF RELIGION CLASS RN I CAN'T DEAL WITH THIS PAIN
I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT THE PLAGUE IS BIOWARFARE. i'm a genius. but the mutated strain was just genuinely a coincidence judging by levana's reaction LMAO
was absolutely baffled why tf thorne was kissing cress before i remembered the promise he made. i feel sickly and nauseous. get off that minor rn
as much as i hate thorne. gotta admit that the shooting scene was badass
YES SYBIL TAKE THAT, BITCH
wonder who the queen is married to
i respect every ounce of rebellion in erland's bones. yeah piss off the queen!!
grossed out by cress and thorne some more. please man keep pushing her away. literally his responsibility as an adult. ew
holy shit scarlet actually lost her finger
it's nice to properly meet winter
something very strange seems to be going on with winter. master and pet lunar stuff?? weird af. wants to be besties?? girl are you even understanding the situation?? also has she never met a ranga before??? is she HIGH????? and what's with the role playing games??? she's somehow more delulu than cress, acts even YOUNGER than her actual age than cress does
winter seems to THINK that she was friends with cinder. interesting. once again i want cinder to get her memories of pre-fire back real bad
winter is a SIMP for jacin
OH I'M SO DUMB HOW DIDN'T I REALISE THAT SHE WOULD BE DELULU BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T USE HER GLAMOUR. respect for winter has increased. this means that ALL the time scarlet spent thinking about how beautiful winter is was the truth LMAO. gay gay homosexual gay. is it too much to hope for a polycule?? they'd literally be like parks and rec. "i'm wolf andthis is my gf scarlet, this is her gf winter, this is winter's bf jaycin".
ofc a lake on the moon is gonna be called artemisia lake LOL. now we've had one moon titan and one moon goddess reference. chang'e when????
NOT FARAFRAH. i bet you all found it downright HILARIOUS when i went on about how much i love farafrah back in one of the other posts
ngl think it's too early for cinder and kai to be eating each other's faces. kai got over his issues REAL fast lol. idk how i feel about it but willing to see where winter takes us
i didn't even think of the implication because i don't consider kai and levana legitimately engaged so i find it HILARIOUS that the silly family tree of kai being engaged to one woman and then making out with her niece. reminds me of ouat
revolutionary cinder ftw
speculation for fairest:
i did the maths and realised that since levana is like 30 and cinder is 16 then she was about 17 years old when she decided that cinder just had to go. I'M 17. cannot imagine killing a 3 year old. cray z. and then she was even YOUNGER than that when she killed her sister for the throne. ALSO insane. that will be one deeply disturbed mind to dive into in fairest
read the blurb and don't exactly have anymore thoughts other than trying to figure out who the in universe equivalent to her REAL husband would be since we're defo getting backstory on that. since she's the evil queen then it must be winter's father "the good king", however because of the blurb i reckon it's some kind of "mirror mirror on the wall" figure. idk what exactly that would entail. some kind of royal adviser???
speculation for winter, because i don't want to forget everything i'm thinking by the time i'm done reading fairest:
mother reveal for cress - i don't remember if any lunar scientists have been mentioned or named yet, but i WILL be keeping an eye out. i suspect someone who has something to do with the wolf soldier hybrids, she might even know wolf. regardless hope the bitch dies
father reveal for cinder
from the way jacin calls garan linh's device an equaliser, it's DEFINITELY gonna be reproduced in this book, ESPECIALLY with winter going all delulu, and the way cinder is concerned about becoming like levana
jacin pov chapters now that miss marissa doesn't have to make his motivations and loyalties ambiguous
ngl i HATE prequels, ESPECIALLY when they're about the villain of the story, and i often skip them. i'm a bit apprehensive about going into fairest, but i want to have the proper reading experience of tlc, and it's important to the story. putting my personal feelings aside and hoping for the best!!

Augh I'd been thinking he hadn't because of the Toy Soldier's story:

TS joined them during that time period, and Tim had to have joined after TS. Ergo, no Tim during Once Upon A Time (In Space). Now I'd guess they probably picked up TS, went off to do other stuff and mechanized Tim during that, and then maybe TS mentioned like "hey remember that war I was in. That could be a story" and then they went back and OUAT(IS) happened, but. That's just me speculating and really it could all just be handwaved away by timeline fuckery
Thinking about. Jonny talking to Jack Spratt in this fiction, telling him to "enjoy his glorious last stand" before went off to certain death. Jack smiled and called him a fucker. How many mortals did Jonny watch die in war? Jack was before Tim was there, is the thing hitting me. Jonny had had banter with Jack, they'd known each other for years, he even managed to comfort Jack a bit. How many of these were there? Was he prepared to let Tim die like the rest? I'm of the opinion that Jonny is the reason Tim got mechanized, and if that's the case, when did he realize Tim was different? Did he think he'd be okay with Tim's death right up until it happened? Or did he know he wouldn't be, tried to push that knowledge down and away? Did he go searching for Tim in the wreckage of the moon, not knowing if he'd survived, saying that it was just to tie up any loose ends of the story because he couldn't admit that he didn't want Tim to die like the rest of them?

Huh...
This article is recent, and it claims "Epic" is actually an OUAT reboot - and that Colin could possibly return.
I have no idea if this is a reliable source, but it's interesting when you consider Colin implying that he'd play Hook again...

okay but where are all of the scenes about adult drizellas feelings about cecilia???
like the day of her birthday where she apparently feels more of a maternal bond with ceclia than with rapunzel, thats when rapunzel poisoned cecilias heart. based on how close they appeared, youd hink shed be upset about her disappearance/death?
when drizella tries to poison henrys heart in pretty in blue, she monologues about knowing about the poison and that it comes from wonderland - did she coincidentally happen upon this information, or did she find out about cecilia (before ella did, whod presumed until pretty in blue that she abandoned them).
she if she did know, or at least found out from ella after ella found out - where is the line about how rapunzel took cecilia away from her and either her feelings that (a) they both would have been enough why did it have to be one or the other / i was a child (b) rapunzel made drizella think cecilia abandoned her the way shed thought rapunzel did (c) the way rapunzel felt about losing ana and being stuck with drizella is trhe way drizella felt about losing cecilia and being stuck with rapunzel (d) they were all happier before rapunzel came back - they werent starving, she had two sisters she loved, a mother she loved, and a father she loved and rapunzel coming back took that all away
the narrative relied too much on drizella being jealous of ana, and abused by rapunzel because of ana's death without touching upon all the other things that would motivate her to turn to turn to seek revenge on her mother

The more you justify what you're doing, the more you push them away. And take it from me... you will always lose the ones you love the most. - Mr. Gold
Let’s be real here, fellow shippers, this episode still haunts me. It was all about Emma, Regina and Henry. They were basically screaming at us that Regina and Henry were the ones Emma loved the most and she was about to lose them.... NO SHIT, SHERLOCK!
And then... oh wait... SHE FUCKING DID. Everything since then has made her lose them more and more. And now they’re completely apart. It just happened slowly.

And by everything I mean everything she did specifically for fuckboy Hook. And it all started when she became the Dark Swan. First it was turning him into a Dark One and then hiding that little fact. They were a little annoyed with her, but they were okay and helped her.

Next BLOODY STUPID thing she did for Hook was going to the Underworld. Of course, Regina and Henry loved her so much, THAT THEY FOLLOWED HER TO SUPPORT HER!

Regina lost Robin as a direct result of it (not a great loss, if you want my opinion) ...

...and they have an argument after it. BUT NOT EVEN ABOUT GODDAMN FOREST BOY, no no! It’s about Emma not wanting Regina to come. I mean, come on... Emma was being ungrateful and unfair and it created a bit more distance between them.

TWO MINUTES LATER
Seriously. Next they’re in NYC on a family adventure together (you know, it’s not like either of them can resist the high of fighting alongside the other.... lovebirds...).

The next extra fucking stupid Hook-related thing she does... is marrying him. (I mean, I believe in OperationOUT and I still have faith for SQ happening.... BUT I MEAN, I STILL WANTED TO PUNCH A HOLE THROUGH THE SCREEN AT THAT DUMB WEDDING!)

And even then she didn’t lose them. Regina was still supportive. We saw glimpses of both Henry and Regina disliking Hook, but they both tried for Emma. If that’s not selfless true love, then I don’t know what is.

So Emma always thought she was gonna lose them because they would start hating her. That it was only a matter of time. The irony is she lost them BECAUSE THEY LOVE HER. They support her while she does the stupidest shit and they support her because they want her to be happy and they think Hook must make her happy. They love her but they apparently aren’t the brightest ones.... She thought he was the safe bet that wasn’t gonna leave her and that would make her parents happy. Turned out the people she loved the most never let her down. They stuck with her.

She lost them because she married him. Look at the way they framed her supposed last scene. Two Hooks stand guard with Swan-Mills family in the middle and Hook pulls her away from Henry. He actively intervenes. And wish!Hook is pretty much watching Regina... They look like soldiers separating a family, dragging one of them off to war or something....
The more you justify what you're doing, the more you push them away. And take it from me... you will always lose the ones you love the most. - Mr. Gold
So that moment in 7x02 is when Mr. Gold’s words finally come to pass. That is when she really loses the ones she loves. She’s pushed them away by denying her real feelings, by not trusting them to still love her. And now she has to play out this farce... and loses them.
It doesn’t make a lick of sense that she is rewarded by doing exactly the same thing as when she was the dark one over and over again. Choosing Hook over everyone, justifying his behavior.
Look at how they portrayed Emma the season before she went dark.

She promised Regina a happy ending. Excuse me Avril, but this is “She was a woman, she was a woman, could I make it any more obvious?” And they’re standing there with their son. And look at Regina’s dazzling smile! It’s Emma that makes her happy!

Next, Emma gets Regina lunch and root beer. She’s working hard to try and cheer her up. Because, who doesn’t love that dazzling smile on Regina’s face?! Emma fucking lives for it!
They were just blatantly flirting. I mean, they completely forgot about Belle there, it’s just the two of them in their love bubble. And these looks are so not straight BFF looks. Come on. Don’t be stupid.

They keep trying to outdo each other. “Imma die for you, dear. No, Imma die for you, babe! Shut up, Imma die for your first! Ugh...” Really, they are Snowing levels of True Love annoying. AND I LOVE IT!

Is that not love and adoration? And care? I mean, that look alone must have made Emma feel all warm and cozy inside!! Isn’t that the face of Home?!

Emma is also completely frantic about Regina possibly being in danger. She spends the episode running around asking for where she is and trying to be sure her wifey doesn’t have a single scratch.

Over and over and over again.

Especially after she realizes Maleficent is an ex. An ex and a dragon. Emma knows when to worry. NO ONE AIN’T GONNA STEAL HER WOMAN!

More looking out for Regina and puppy eyes cause she actually wants to go with her, but you know, Emma is an idiot and won’t tell her so. So she pines. That’s all they ever fucking do, they pine. They should just grow some balls and True Love Smooch.

Emma getting weird when asked about Lily.

Listening to Regina when she’s in a destructive state.

And then finally sacrificing herself for Regina. (The town, I know, I know.)
This was all in a half season. And in 5A, it went from 100 to 0. That tells me it was totally intentional and her marrying Hook was still a result of the darkness (I mean, the episode was filled with dark foreshadowing, with both Emma’s dress and Hook’s suit going from white to black and with Emma seeing Hook before the wedding when it was explicitly stated it was bad luck).
It makes sense to have the absolute lowest point now. The dark night of the soul. The darkness before the dawn... right before the end of the show. So that’s all Emma’s absence was. Making us lose all hope.
BUT THEY FUCKING FAILED... MWHAHAHHA!
Seriously, I’m excited about the finale, because what else could they fucking do?! It’s the only logical conclusion to what they’ve set up! That happy ending aren’t always what we - read: the heteronormative society - think they will be. That the Savior needs to taste a forbidden fruit. That potent magic and love are connected. That Emma’s gonna give Regina her happy ending. That Hook is really not a great match for Emma. That they didn’t share a TLK with Hook/Hood because they were always in love with each other. That Henry came to get Emma to bring her home.
You know, all the stuff that was obvious to anyone with half a brain who isn’t a bigot.

And if darkness was the reason why Emma lost Regina and Henry, then maybe we should look at Rumple’s story for clues. When he finally made the right choice, he got the chance to start over with Belle and a younger Gideon.
So who else suddenly has a grown-up son? Who else still has darkness in her? Who else needs to make the right choice?

So I doubt they’ll get baby Henry back.

...but maybe we’re getting late teens Henry back? Maybe the only way to save current Henry is to go back in time?

And maybe we’ll get a third version of this scene from the Pilot and the Dark Swan arc, but this time it’s Emma arriving. And Henry opening the curtains and seeing her. And Regina opening the front door.
...and welcoming Emma home.
WE’RE ON THE LAST STRETCH TILL THE END AND FINDING OUT! MAY SWAN QUEEN PREVAIL! LOVE YOU ALL! THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME!
