For my Animation Midterm, I made a Pinkie Pie animation to the song 'Here On The Moon'!

Completely forgot to post this, but I had an art project about taking two things you like and combining them, so I ended doing a character lineup of the outsiders! (I said my theme was animation and literature lmao)

I’ll probably do the socs next, but I ain’t exactly itching to draw Bob 😒 (if bob has no haters I’m dead)

I can’t really say I “redesigned” the logo, I just adjusted the current one but what the hell ill put it here anyway

izzy - i should have emphasized it more but her fur is supposed to be very shaggy and unkempt. i dont think shes taking very good care of it because shes always so focused on making things and bouncing around the place. also iirc she lives in the forest more by herself so i wanted to emphasize her being a little bit of an oddball.

pipp - iirc zephyr heights had some art deco elements in its architecture and even if it didnt her headpiece reminded me a lot of 1920s headbands so i pushed that to make her feel very luxurious and full. i think shes definitely a party girl and likes to be in the spotlight.

her wings are small on purpose because i think (like scootaloo) the idea of her not being able to fly (even with magic) is fun with her being the element of confidence. i think her being happy and proud of herself and being disabled is good for kids to see.

zip - i changed her color palette to be red and orange because they remind me of lions which are usually associated with bravery and courage. i made her noticably lanker because i want her to be a bit of an underdog, she's popular and respected but people don't really take her wanting to be a leader or a knight very seriously because she's just a 'royal girl acting out,' or something.

i think that this could lead to interesting plot lines where she has to take a page out of her sister's book and believe in herself even when things dont turn out right away. there's a really fun relationship between bravery and confidence and i think they can play off eachother a bunch just as i think their personalities can clash and push them apart. its a lot of fun to think about.

also their cutiemarks are just thrown together i really have no fucking clue when it comes to designing them . their current ones are fine they just werent very clear in the refs and i didnt feel like pulling them up

not only the possibility of sensitivity to wine/etc itself but just. the alcohol fuzziness meaning maybe they let a sneeze creep up on them without noticing, and the lack of inhibitions meaning they let it out without any shame they may usually have..... maybe even being more dramatic than usual, louder, bending at the waist, dazed after.... accepting care they may usually deny because they are drunk and happy and vulnerable
