DWC May 2025
Day 3 Linger/Gaze
A strong gust of wind rattles the hull of the balloon overhead, though the pilot hardly even notices. He knew the sturdiness of his vessel. The reinforced adamantium links that anchored the gondola to the float was all that separated the man from a fiery death from the wind-swept peaks below. Entering into calmer currents, the personalized zeppelin descends on a wooden dock, its home the past half year now. He engages the locks to the landing gear, shuts off the engine, hops out the cockpit and tethers the airship to the bits of the wharf. Nothing out of the ordinary whenever he returns to his semi-permanent home. Boots scuff along the grass hills. Pebbles chip off the well-worn steps of the stone path. A lone figure returns to this small Earthen hovel long abandoned in these ancient mountains. The single pilot light kept eternally ablaze at the entrance cast out its inviting amber light, piercing the cold violet night with its warmth. He walks up to the heavy wooden door, its frame a new addition along with the lock installed in it. Privacy was not commonplace for the stoney denizens of Khaz'Algar, so this was a request Ruzzell had made when taking up the property. A sense of security in an uncertain world. The key slides in. The door clicks open.
He enters, and is greeted with his flock of excited Mosswool sheep. He adopted his first on shortly after arriving in Dornogal. A small lamb he affectionately named Chia. He was quick to learn that Mosswool were low-effort, self-sufficient animals, requiring only sunlight, watering, and the occasional fertilizing with fresh soil. His familiarity with his pet soon came to the realization that she needed a companion. Soon after he adopted a larger sheep he named Heather. And then another. And another. His flock of loving girls would skitter about his feet, all taking turns in their chorus of playful bleating. A small smile crept on his tired face.
"Hiya girls... Hey Rosie... Chia. Heather. Sandy. Bernice~" He was absolutely swarmed by the cuddle pile of their heavy rocky forms all clambering at his legs, finally overwhelming him and pinning him down with their hefty bodies. He struggled to manage hugging and petting each one. It was like trying to cuddle with a bowling ball given sentience. He scratched the mossy head of Chia and tickled the chin of Sandy, giving each sweet sheep their own moment of affection. His heart felt a sense of love amongst his flock, a feeling he hadn't felt in a long time. His pets were special to him. A home to go back to after years of loneliness. He finally was able to find an opening in the crowd to get up. He walked past the small pet arch near the entrance, no larger than the body of the sheep. They were free to come and go as they pleased, only returning inside at sunset to await their owner. His flock cried out as they followed him.
"Alright alright, I'm sorry girls! I had a long day! Yes, I missed my babies too! Op!" He nearly trips over Bernice, the newest addition to his flock. "Careful there!" He turns on the water to the sink and fills up a copper watering can. The sheep bray with excitement, swarming around his legs. "Okay girls, time for dinner!" He turns and showers his Mosswool with the can, their coats soaking in all the moisture and prancing about excitedly. Heather bullies her way into the front of the crowd, seeking to get an extra dousing of water. He makes sure to soak all his sheep evenly. Satisfaction. One by one they begin to disperse to a grassy bed down in the den. He was alone now once more. Happy sheep at least. He lets out a content sigh. It was dinner time for himself now.
He walks to the portable goblin refrigerator he had installed. Fresh fish and meats wrapped up. Produce, cheeses, bottles of sauces. Cans of Kaja'Cola and glasses of mineral water. So many wonderful things awaiting to be made into an amazing meal. He stares into the ice box, a vacant gaze. Tired. He simply takes out some spring greens and a bottle of balsamic vinegarette and makes a simple salad. He opens the door and walks outside. Cold. Silence. The starry night yawned out to him and the endless depth of the abyssal cliffs lay below his mountainside home. He sits on a stone seat. He eats and stares off into the void.
So many years. So many years alone. So many years since things had ended with Sennaloria, his last romantic partner. Not just a fling. Someone who shared more than just a bed with him. But she was gone. She moved on. He did too. But the silence and cold stayed. Loneliness had settled in. He munches away slowly at his salad, still gazing out into nothingness. He was a fighter though. Stubborn. He refused to let this nothingness set in his bones. Purpose. He took up his piloting with new purpose. He got good. Better. Fulfillment. He found his flock. Adoration. And now he had found a new community in The Succulent Tarts. Home. His heart was still lonely, but he found ways to keep the cold and darkness away. He was not alone. He was not cold. Little Bernice walked up to brush against his leg once more. His meditation was broken. He glanced down to his little lamb and petted her gently.
"Hey girl! Yeah, was just getting some fresh air. Let's go back inside..." He walked back into the hovel and closes the door behind him. The lock clicks. The bleating of sweet lambs cries out again in the night. The lights in the home dim and then go out, save for the pilot light outside. Sweet dreams and restful sleep would be had by all.
(Small mentions of @Sennaloria)

~
Something about the ordeal left the two of them a bit dazed. They giddily walked back, not chatting much just giggling at each other every time they made eye contact. Had they gained some sort of sugar rush from inhaling so much candy? Or was the adrenaline from nearly being mauled my dogs taking over?
Either way, once they’d hopped over the platforms once again, Garreth stopped. He peered at the fork in the dirt path. Right, lead down to Maeve and his secret spot, left lead back up to Hogwarts. He watched Maeve turn left and reached to her, catching her elbow.
“I…I don’t want to go back just yet” he murmured, a sadness taking over his features.
“Okay” she smiled “I only have History of Magic left for the day anyway. I’d rather not go” he beamed, seemingly happy she’d chose to spend time with him instead of her valuable education.
“Shall we visit The Docks then, my dear?” He offered her his hand and she took eagerly.
The Docks was the name they ironically gave to the makeshift camp they created by the waters edge. A few conjured crates, a battered sofa and a large chest made up their safe haven. A liberal amount of magic held the structure together lest it float away to bob around the small pond. The familiar deep blue swirl of Maeves ancient magic wove through the crates making them sturdy under their combined weight.
There were telltale spots of both of their influences.
A small ‘portable’ potion station had settled into the dirt over time. Various cushions and blankets lay strewn across the floor around it for when Garreth fidgeted during his experimentations.
Terracotta pots of a multitude of different sizes for an array of plants sat upon every available surface, including the cushions of the sofa. Some muggle plants and some wizarding, the former thriving under the influence of her ancient magic. No need for sun down here!
As Garreth made himself comfortable, he casually tossed some ingredients into a cauldron and flicked his wand. The tiny flame beneath the pot started to simmer under the unknown concoction.
Satisfied with his addition, Garreth sat down at the water edge, removing his shoes and socks and rolled his trousers up. Maeve added their discarded robes and her own shoes to the growing pile of clothing near the chest. He kicked at the water as his feet dangled over the edge.
“Well…That was exhilarating” he grinned
“More like terrifying” she said lowering herself next to him. Tucking her feet underneath his thigh, she hugged her knees, peering at him from over her arms.
“I don’t know… it had its benefits” he winked thinking back to the feel of her hand upon his chest, how she wiggled against his hips unknowingly “Speaking of, I feel like I should apologise.”
“Apologise? For what”
“I…may have over stepped. I’m sorry if I…touched you inappropriately” his eyes looked anywhere but her direction.
“I…dont think you did” Meave looked genuinely confused. She thought back. He’d held her waist? But that was nothing. Yes she liked the feeling but it was nothing inappropriate. Her thoughts were, but that wasn’t his fault. “No you were a perfect gentlemen”
“I had my hands wrapped around your waist? Thats not…are you okay with that?” He looked at her, finally, eyebrow cocked.
“Erm…” her face burned red “Yeah that’s er…fine with me”
He smirked but his cheeks were matching hers. She cleared her throat
“So long as I’m not going to get a Diffindo to the back from Ominis, I’m good if you are.”
“Diffindo? Why would he do that?” She asked truly baffled at the direction the conversation had taken.
“You know…some guys get very protective of their partners, I’m just happy he still lets us hang out. I know I can be a bit…much with you so-“
“Woah slow down… You think me and Ominis are together?”
“Yes?” He questioned, now confused himself
“Ha! No Garreth!” She chuckled to herself at the idea.
“Oh…so Sallow?”
“No I’m not with anyone, Weasley” she laughed throwing his sock at him.
“Oh…” he looked off to nothingness, like he was connecting the dots to something in his head “OH!” He smiled “So they’re single are they?” He wiggled his eyebrows at her. She rolled her eyes so hard it almost gave her a headache.
“Please, you’d have to break them apart first before you even stood a chance with either of them”
“I think I could do it, you know. Just flash them these babies and they’d be crawling over each other to get a taste” he puffed his chest out and flexed, his biceps pushing against the fabric of his sleeves. They already fit him snug, so the addition of his flexing left the material looking strained. She made a conscious effort not to gawk at him, fusing her mouth shut in a flat straight line.
“Get over yourself, Weasley” she pushed on his arm as he continued his posing, unaware how close to the edge of the dock he sat.
With the tiniest of knocks from Maeve he went tumbling into the water, he completely disappeared as he was submerged under the water.
“Garreth!”
See…now this is why I don’t swim. That is far deeper than it looks
A second later, he remerged, soaked through. His hair lay flat against his head and face. His fingers reaching up to part his hair down the middle, her eyes met with his own, and all she could see…was murder.
“Garreth…I’m sorry” she held her hands out in surrender “I didn’t realise you were so close to the edge I-“
“You are…so dead” he said flatly, before grabbing her ankles and softly tugging her towards the edge
“NO, no Garr please…it was an accident” she begged, her hands pushing against his shoulders, desperate to keep the distance between them…and herself on the dock.
“I’m sorry it’s too late…my day is ruined so…now it’s your turn” the curl of his lip was sinister as he waded closer to the dock and yanked at her ankles.
“GarrETH!” She squealed almost with glee, her giggles taking over any annoyance she may have had. “You can’t!”
Garreth just gave her a look. His eyes screaming: You can do better than that.
“Give me exactly one good reason why I shouldn’t” he demanded, ceasing his tug of war but not releasing her ankles.
“I…soggy socks are the worst” she stated matter of factly.
“Ah…you are correct there” he said looking up at her with a twinkle in his eye.
That’s when his fingers moved slowly up her calves his thumb brushing over her shin. They crept further and further up, his body manoeuvring between her legs as he went.
Garreth stared up at her, watching her closely as his fingers followed the outline of her stockings. His smile faltered, taking his lip between his teeth in an attempt to distract himself from what he was doing.
It was a fools errand.
He stepped closer, wrapping his arms around her, ignoring the way the flesh of her thighs spilled between his fingers as he readjusted her in his arms.
“Do you trust me?” he said softly, his voice husky and barely above a whisper.
“Yes…” she breathed, though right then in that moment she didn’t know why.
He was touching her unlike anyone ever had.
He was pulling her into unknown depths she knew she couldn’t recover from.
He was looking at her with eyes she couldn’t recognise but…enjoyed.
Everything screamed at her to not trust him.
But this was Garreth.
She trusted no one more.
With one achingly slow move, his hands were behind her, lifting her effortlessly into the air. Her legs instinctively wrapped around his waist as he stepped back and lowered her slowly into the water, his fingers digging into her skin.
For safety purposes, obviously
Her breath caught and she gasped as the ice cold water lapped at her legs, her giggly laughter getting ripped from her.
“You…” a shiver shoots up her spine as her body acclimatises to the temperature “…you remember I can’t swim right?”
“I remember…” he says softly “…I’ve got you”
His voice was unlike she’d ever heard it. All traces of his impish and cheeky behaviour had vanished. Like all humour and teasing had been Obliviated from him and what was left was his kind hearted nature and…something husky and low she couldn’t recognise.
Those bright emerald eyes traced down her body as he shifted her to get a better grip of her. They seemed to loiter over her for longer than necessary.
Then when he looked up he was grinning from ear to ear. The spark of Garreth seemingly returning.
“Don’t think I’d let you drown, do you?”
“Well no…but anything could be down here. You could get distracted” she teases.
“The only thing that runs the risk of distracting me down here is you” he jostled her in the water almost to prove his point. The sudden cold splash of water up her lower back, saved her from the impending blush that crept up her neck
“Besides we’ve been down here for almost three years, I’ve been down here longer and the only creatures I’ve ever seen down here is that family of toads across the way…” he tilts her in the direction of the small alcove on the opposite side to them “…though I haven’t seen them for a while” he mutters.
“Murkys’ family? Oh no I hope he’s okay” Maeve fusses, wiggling about in his arms to crane her neck towards the tiny coast.
“Murky? Of course you named it” he chastised lightly, shaking his head and laughing
“Him. He has dark purple spots on his back, male of the species” she pushes an imaginary pair of glasses up her nose and bobbles her head haughtily.
“Oh shut up…” he grins devilishly and bends his knees, lowering himself and her into the water.
Maeve screamed bloody murder at the sudden assault of water. She felt it slither down the folds of her shirt, down the back of her skirt and other places unspeakable in polite conversation.
When he lifts her back up, all the while chuckling loudly, he noticed the way her white shirt conforms to her body. He fought the urge to wrap his hands around her tiny waist, feel the course cotton of her shirt slide over her skin. Her pale skin was clearly visible under her clothes, the white addition of her shirt making her look paler, if that was even possible.
And somehow the water had agitated her perfume. Or her scent in general.
All he could smell was the subtle lavender of her hair that seemed to linger around her neck. The floral undertones of her clothes wrapped him in a warm blanket. He almost forgot he was stood in freezing water.
His senses were overloaded by her.
Her sharp gasping and laughter that shook her chest, wasn’t helping his current situation. He became suddenly very aware of where his hands were. Just a couple of inches up, a simple slide over her stockings, and his fingers would be buried within a larger more ample explanation of flesh.
Shaking his head clear of such lewd thoughts only meant when his eyes open once again, he was greeted with more…
He saw the darker divot of her belly button, the small ridges of her ribs and up to the supple curve of her…
His eyes snapped back up to face and he silently thanked Merlin that she was wrapped around his waist and not his hips…
“Now that I know I no longer need to contend with Ominis…” He whispered, looking up at her through amber lashes.
“…it’s just you that stands in my way…”
“What do you mean?” She said as her laughter from the waters assault died down.
“Me and you…we should go somewhere”
“You mean like a…” her chest grew tight.
Surely he didn’t mean…a date.
Her hands gripped his shoulders harder and she leant into him. The chuckle that left his chest now low, more like a grumble, but the curve of his lips indicated just how pleased he was with the evenings turn.
“I mean like a gold old fashioned courtly ritual m’lady.” He tips her whole body as though she were a hat, causing more giggles to topple from her lips “See if this is just friendship…or more”
“What if….” She whispered, summoning all the confidence she could “…what if I already know…that I want more”
Garreth barked one singular laugh and shook his head incredulously.
With one long stride, he waded through the water and pressed her back into the dock. His one arm reached underneath her, freeing his other to snake up her back and cup the back of her neck.
Then his lips were on her.
They were warm and soft and everything her current environment wasn’t. But that all melted away when his lips slid over hers parting slightly as he moved back towards her. Her breathe washed over him and he realised…her mouth was open too. Panting and breathing into him, moving closer to claim his lips as much he claimed hers.
When her legs tightened around him, he trusted she wouldn’t fall and pressed further into her body, his other hand joining his first to cup her cheek.
Well…didn’t trust. More like his body acted on primal instinct and he could no longer control himself.
Each of her soft curves pressed into him as he pinned her to the dock.
And when her cold fingertips graced his neck, he snapped.
A low growl rolled from his chest and he quickly gripped her thighs once more, lifting her up and back onto the dock.
She yelped softly but shuffled back, looking down at Garreth. His clothes soaked through, clung to every muscle she could have only imagine before. She now saw them, tensing and rippling as he lifted himself from the water, the droplets falling from each strand of hair and his nose.
He climbed over her, eyes dark.
“I can’t believe this whole time, there was no one stopping me from doing this…and yet I didn’t” that husky quality to his voice was back again.
“You assumed” she teased
“I did…” he admitted “…you just…spend a lot of time with them”
“I spend more time with you”
“My apologises, you make it difficult to think when I’m around you. Make the obvious a bit harder to see”
How sweet
She reached towards his chest. She wanted to feel his warm lips again, especially now out of the water, the drafty air of the One Eyed Witch Passageway now prickling her skin. As her arm looped around his neck, she shivered, violently.
Her chuckled.
“Let’s go…we should get you somewhere warm before you catch a cold” he leant back onto his knees and stood, offering her a hand to stand back up. His hand was still somehow warm. And he seemed completely unfazed by his sodden clothes.
He pulled her onto her feet and gathered their belongings, pulling her robes around her and added his own on top of that. She smiled up at him, pulling both robes around her shoulders, the red of his robes hood added a crimson under glow to her features. She looked as though she was blushing as much as she did when his hands slid up her legs. His fingers digging into-
Stop
“Come on…I’ll walk you to your common room” he whispered.
He bent to sniff at the cauldron he had half-heartedly thrown ingredients into earlier.
The almost overwhelming smell of Lavender, Various flora and HoneyDukes filled his nose, stronger than it ever had.
It was definitely her.
Always her

Siege of the Raddus
Moving mental pieces around in regards to Poe's plotline in TLJ after watching this really great video by youtuber Orowen in preparation for a full writeup.
Poe's arc of "hotshot pilot makes too many risky mistakes and has to learn to cool down to become the great leader that his mentor sees in him" is a great one for the character. However, it doesn't get quite the right time in the sun.
The setup of " we're being perused by a ship killer that can't quite catch us but it can slowly bombard us until we break" is delicious.
While Poe seems to fly off the deepend with his suspicion towards Holdo, his actions would absolutely make sense (for a hothead character) if there was a single line of diologe floating the idea that there was a first-order spy onboard. This would be especially worthwhile if Leia was the one to float it before she was knocked out. Likewise, it would give Holdo a point in not telling Poe about her plan because she's ALSO worried about there being a spy onboard, say the guy who just got a huge amount of their fleet killed and got them into this situation.
As much as I love the aesthetics of it, I'd nix Canto Bight (in this movie atleast) and have Finn and Rose caught up in Poe's hunt for the spy on the resistance flagship, which we'd see a lot more of as tensions among the resistance boiled over.
Rose's background as a mechanic would come into play ( and we'd get to have her spend time with Poe, who's bravado got her sister killed). The dynamic is great, as she/people like her are the ones who keep the resistance running where he gets all the glory. This can be physically represented when we her perspective we get to see the greasy underbelly of these big ships that we usually only see the bridge/docking hanger of.
Finn is likewise better used because people think HE'S the spy as he's someone with obvious first order ties (and he tried to jump in an escape pod RIGHT as things got bad). He's missing Rey and suddenly having second thoughts about signing on with the goodguys. Poe gets to feel vindicated when he uses his rep/charisma to redirect the anger away from his best friend and towards his antagonist Holdo, laying the groundwork for his botched coup. He takes leadership like Leia wanted him to, but he does so in the exact wrong way, which sets him up to learn the lesson by the end of the movie.
Borrowing from my earlier post about how I think Rose was going to end up with Poe in an earlier draft of TLJ:
It makes so much more sense for POE to be the one to try and fly his ground-speeder into the portable deathstar cannon in an act of fruitless heroism, because his character arc in TLJ is about learning that big showy displays of action DON'T solve everything.
This would also make Rose's final lines about "Fighting to save what we love" make a LOT more sense if she were targeting them at Poe, who she saved because she couldn't bear losing someone else she cared about to being a "hero". It gives her catharsis over not being able to save her sister and it gives Poe the realignment he needs to be the leader he always could be: prioritizing his people's safety rather than considering them expendable if it means hurting the first order.

In this blog, we’ll explore the ins and outs of kayaking in a simple and engaging way. You'll learn what makes it so special, how to get started, common challenges, and how to overcome them. We’ll even share a step-by-step guide to help you launch your first kayakin adventure confidently.
1. What is Kayaking and Why is it So Popular?
Kayaking is a water sport that involves paddling using a double-bladed oar and a small boat known as a kayak. The beauty of this sport lies in its versatility. You can kayak on oceans, rivers, lakes, and even in the surf. People do it for relaxation, exercise, exploration, or pure adrenaline.

Boating Must Haves That Improve Performance and Enjoyment
Boating is more than just a pastime—it's a lifestyle. Whether you're cruising the coastline, fishing with friends, or enjoying water sports with family, the right gear can make all the difference. For those who love the open water, investing in reliable, functional accessories enhances not just comfort but also safety and performance. Here’s a roundup of must have accessories for boat owners, designed to boost your time on the water.
1. Reliable GPS and Navigation Systems
Nothing is more essential than knowing where you are and where you're headed—especially out on open waters. A dependable GPS or chartplotter is crucial for both seasoned captains and new boaters. Many modern systems come equipped with touchscreen controls, real-time weather updates, and compatibility with smartphones, allowing for smoother, safer navigation.
2. Waterproof Storage and Dry Bags
Water and electronics don’t mix. That's why waterproof storage solutions, like dry bags and sealed containers, are vital for keeping valuables—phones, cameras, keys—safe and dry. A dry bag with roll-top closure is simple, affordable, and incredibly effective. Some even float, making them easy to retrieve if they go overboard.
3. Marine Audio Systems
The perfect soundtrack can elevate your boating experience from great to unforgettable. Marine-grade audio systems are built to withstand saltwater, humidity, and extreme temperatures. Consider speakers with Bluetooth capability, waterproof casings, and powerful bass for an immersive sound experience while you cruise.
4. Bimini Tops and Boat Covers
Protecting your boat from the elements is essential for long-term maintenance. A Bimini top offers much-needed shade on sunny days and shields passengers from UV rays. High-quality boat covers protect your vessel when it's docked or stored, guarding against sun damage, dirt, and rain. Choose materials that are breathable and mold-resistant to prevent mildew buildup.
5. LED Lighting for Ambience and Safety
Good lighting on a boat serves dual purposes—practicality and aesthetics. Interior and exterior LED lights enhance visibility at night, aid in docking, and add ambiance to evening parties or quiet cruises. They consume less power and are available in a variety of colors and styles. Many are also waterproof, making them ideal marine-grade boat accessories.
6. Multi-Tool Kits and Emergency Gear
Every boat should have a well-stocked toolkit and emergency supplies on board. A marine multi-tool equipped with a knife, pliers, screwdrivers, and cutters can handle unexpected repairs. Additionally, a first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, signaling devices, and life vests are mandatory safety essentials. Regularly check expiration dates and replace items as needed.
7. Boat Grills and Coolers
Dining on the water is one of boating’s greatest pleasures. Portable boat grills, especially those designed to clamp onto rails or sit securely on deck, let you cook up fresh meals with ease. Pair that with a quality marine cooler to keep drinks icy cold. Look for models with UV resistance, thick insulation, and slip-resistant feet to keep everything stable.
8. Anchor Systems
Having a reliable anchor is a game-changer for boaters who enjoy swimming, fishing, or just taking in the scenery. Choose an anchor that fits the size and weight of your boat and is suited for the water conditions you frequent—whether sandy, muddy, or rocky. A durable rope or chain setup and a retrieval system make anchoring smooth and stress-free.
9. Fish Finders and Rod Holders
For fishing enthusiasts, investing in high-quality fish finders and rod holders is non-negotiable. Fish finders use sonar to locate schools of fish, submerged structures, and changes in water depth. Rod holders help keep your lines secure and free up your hands, allowing for a more relaxing experience.
10. Docking and Mooring Equipment
Coming into dock doesn’t have to be stressful if you have the right gear. Fenders, dock lines, and cleats help protect your boat from damage when tying up. Quick-release hooks and spring-loaded mechanisms also make it easier to manage mooring without needing extra hands on deck.
11. Handy Boat Accessories for Day-to-Day Use
When it comes to convenience, a few clever tools can make life at sea far more enjoyable. Cup holders, rope organizers, telescoping boat hooks, and non-slip mats may seem minor, but they contribute to smoother sailing. These handy boat accessories keep everything organized and accessible, so you can focus more on fun and less on frustration.
Final Thoughts
Boating is an adventure—but with the right gear, it can be a safe, luxurious, and efficient one. From tech tools and safety gear to comfort enhancers and fishing upgrades, these accessories are investments that pay off in enjoyment and peace of mind. Whether you're a weekend warrior or a full-time sailor, don't leave the dock without these essentials.
And when you're ready to upgrade your setup, BayWatt has you covered. Our curated selection of high-performance marine accessories meets the demands of serious boaters, with quality and durability you can trust.

Floating Docks: Versatile Structures for Marinas and More
Floating docks, also known as floating piers or floating boat docks, are versatile dock structures that float on water rather than being secured to the bottom. They are a popular choice for marinas, boat clubs, and private boat owners seeking portable docks that can move up and down with water levels. No matter the material, the key design elements of floating docks include buoyant pontoons or modules topped with sturdy, non-skid decking. The pontoons are usually cylindrical or squared-off shapes made from the chosen material. They provide buoyancy to support both the dock structure and boats.

Boost Your Boat: The Ultimate Guide to Battery Chargers

Every boater knows the importance of a reliable power source. That’s where marine battery chargers come in—and at LED Advantage, we’ve got you covered with the best solutions for every type of boat.
Why a Quality Battery Charger Matters Marine battery chargers are not just accessories—they’re essential for maintaining battery life, preventing power failures, and ensuring your time on the water is stress-free. A quality charger will not only recharge your batteries efficiently but also condition and maintain them, extending their lifespan and performance.
Unlike standard car battery chargers, marine battery chargers are specifically designed to handle the unique demands of a boat’s electrical system. They’re built to withstand harsh marine environments, resist corrosion, and provide reliable power in any condition.
Types of Marine Battery Chargers At LED Advantage, we stock a wide range of marine battery chargers to suit all needs, from weekend fishermen to full-time cruisers. Understanding the different types can help you choose the perfect fit for your vessel:
Onboard Battery Chargers These are permanently installed in your boat and offer the convenience of plugging into shore power to recharge your batteries. They're great for boats that are regularly docked and require a hassle-free charging solution.
Portable Battery Chargers Ideal for smaller boats or when you need a charger you can easily move around. Portable chargers are compact and versatile, perfect for occasional use or emergency backup.
Multi-Bank Chargers If you have multiple batteries (starting, deep cycle, house), a multi-bank charger allows you to charge them all at once. Each bank can independently charge and maintain a separate battery, making this an efficient option for larger vessels.
Key Features to Look For:
Automatic Charging: Smart chargers detect the battery’s charge level and switch between bulk, absorption, and float modes automatically.
Marine-Grade Construction: Look for waterproof and corrosion-resistant materials to ensure longevity.
Amperage: Higher amp chargers can charge batteries faster, but must be matched to your battery type and size.
Battery Compatibility: Make sure the charger supports your battery type—AGM, Gel, Flooded, or Lithium.

Modern naval missions depend on the seamless flow of fuel, food, spare parts, and ammunition. In 2025, logistics operations are now enhanced with AI-driven forecasting tools that analyze mission demands, weather patterns, and equipment data to predict what supplies will be needed—and when.
Unmanned supply ships and autonomous cargo drones are also beginning to play a role, especially in high-risk zones where manned resupply efforts might be too dangerous. These innovations allow for more agile replenishment at sea without risking personnel.
Floating Bases and Mobile Warehouses
To reduce reliance on land-based infrastructure, navies are developing mobile logistics hubs. These floating bases can deploy to regions where permanent naval presence is limited, acting as warehouses, repair stations, and even launch points for humanitarian missions.
In 2025, the U.S. and several NATO allies are experimenting with modular logistics ships that can be reconfigured on demand. Depending on the mission, they can carry drone repair stations, fuel tanks, or even desalination units.
Integration with Commercial Shipping
Naval forces are now working closely with civilian shipping networks. Through shared tracking systems and logistics platforms, military vessels can dock at commercial ports for rapid resupply. This integration not only expands naval reach but also provides redundancy in case of military base outages.
Some navies are even leveraging civilian autonomous vessels for non-sensitive transport, reducing costs and freeing up military assets for strategic missions.
Sustainability in Naval Logistics
Sustainability is also playing a role in 2025’s naval logistics strategy. Green fuels, such as biofuels and hydrogen-based propulsion, are being tested on support vessels. Some ships now operate with hybrid-electric systems to cut emissions and reduce fuel dependence.
Waste management innovations onboard supply vessels help reduce environmental impact, an increasingly important consideration as navies expand into ecologically sensitive regions.
Preparing for Conflict and Crisis
Naval logistics must be capable of supporting both combat operations and disaster response. Recent drills focus on rapid deployment of medical supplies, emergency shelters, and portable power systems. With climate-related disasters becoming more common, navies are expected to respond not just with firepower but with aid.
Conclusion
As covered in the latest world navy news, naval logistics is no longer a behind-the-scenes operation—it is a strategic asset. The Veza continues to monitor how these evolving supply chains ensure that navies remain flexible, responsive, and ready to support both peace and conflict missions across the globe.

Floating Jet Ski Dock – The Ultimate Solution for Jet Ski Enthusiasts
Why Choose a Floating Jet Ski Dock?
A floating jet ski dock is a revolutionary docking system that offers superior convenience, protection, and efficiency for personal watercraft (PWC) owners. Unlike traditional docks, floating jet ski docks provide a stable, easy-to-use, and low-maintenance solution for storing your jet ski. Whether you are a recreational jet ski rider or a commercial marina operator, investing in a floating dock ensures durability, accessibility, and safety.
Advantages of a Floating Jet Ski Dock
1. Effortless Docking and Launching
One of the primary benefits of a floating jet ski dock is its seamless docking system. The innovative design allows users to drive their jet ski directly onto the dock with minimal effort. With a self-adjusting floating mechanism, the dock rises and falls with the water level, making launching and retrieving your jet ski effortless.
2. Protection Against Water Damage
Leaving your jet ski in the water for prolonged periods can cause hull damage, algae buildup, and corrosion. A floating jet ski dock keeps your PWC elevated, preventing exposure to harmful water elements. This significantly extends the lifespan of your jet ski and reduces maintenance costs.
3. Easy Installation and Portability
Unlike traditional fixed docks, which require professional installation and can be expensive, floating docks are modular and easy to assemble. Most floating jet ski docks come with interlocking pieces, allowing users to customize the dock to fit their specific needs. Additionally, their portability makes them an excellent choice for seasonal use.
4. Low Maintenance and Durability
Manufactured using high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or marine-grade materials, floating docks are highly resistant to UV rays, impact, and harsh weather conditions. They require little maintenance, and their non-slip surfaces provide added safety for users.
5. Versatility and Expandability
Floating docks are versatile and can be configured to accommodate multiple jet skis or even other watercraft, such as kayaks and small boats. They can be expanded with additional dock modules, making them ideal for personal use, marinas, resorts, and rental businesses.
Types of Floating Jet Ski Docks
1. Drive-On Floating Docks
These are among the most popular options, featuring a ramp-like design that allows jet skis to be driven directly onto the dock. Equipped with rollers and guiding rails, these docks simplify the docking and launching process.
2. Modular Floating Docks
Modular docks offer customization and flexibility. They consist of multiple interlocking pieces, allowing users to design the dock layout according to their needs. These docks are highly adaptable and can be expanded as needed.
3. Air-Assisted Floating Docks
Air-assisted docks use an air-lift system to raise and lower the jet ski, providing additional protection by ensuring the jet ski is completely lifted out of the water when not in use. This type is ideal for saltwater environments where corrosion is a concern.
How to Choose the Best Floating Jet Ski Dock
1. Weight Capacity
Ensure that the dock can support the weight of your jet ski. Most floating jet ski docks have a weight capacity ranging from 800 lbs to over 1,500 lbs, making them suitable for single or multiple PWCs.
2. Dock Size and Space Requirements
Consider the available space at your waterfront property or marina. Modular docks offer flexibility in design and size, allowing you to customize according to your space limitations.
3. Material and Durability
High-quality floating docks are made from marine-grade materials such as polyethylene or composite plastic. These materials are resistant to UV exposure, impact damage, and extreme weather conditions.
