Hello, this idea about Leclerc and Verstappen twins has been bothering me for a long time, so I finally made it into a coherent post! Post2, post3 and post4

Let me introduce you:

The Leclerc Twins

Charles Leclerc is still a Ferrari driver in my mind (although after Ferrari's performances with strategy, I increasingly want to write a post about Charles who is not a Formula 1 driver, but that’s for another time), one of the few omega drivers in the history of Formula 1.

Emmanuel Leclerc is a star of the modeling business. He used to go karting with Charles, but his results were not so impressive, so he quickly ended his racing career and began modeling.

The Verstappen Twins

Max Verstappen is still a Red Bull driver and a four–time world champion.

Emilian Verstappen is a motorcycle racer, six–time world champion, and the youngest MotoGP champion.

Background:

Charles and Max have been dating since Max drove in Formula 3 and Charles raced in Formula 4. Emilian didn’t live with Max and Jos, but Sophie didn’t raise him either. His career was handled by, well, their close relative and manager, and therefore Emilian was jealous of Max all his life.

Max was close to Jos, and Jos and Sophie seemed to be more proud of his achievements, although Emilian became a champion before Max, and he had more championship titles than Max. He always lacked the attention of his parents, the recognition from them, and besides, Max had an omega, with whom he had been dating for almost ten years. Emilian was in love with Charles (like any alpha with eyes, hehe, this is my canon, what will you do to me?!), and their relationship with Max was another subject for Emilian's envy. He didn't understand why Max got everything – the best career, the best omega, the best relationship with his parents, while he had a career in a less popular category of motorsport, he hadn’t ideal relationship with a one and only omega, and he saw his parents only on rare occasions.

In fact, of course, it wasn't like that. Emilian also had a successful career, and he distanced himself from his parents because of resentment, and he himself chose not to have a permanent relationship, switching omegas left and right, all because they weren’t Charles.

Despite everything, Emilian had a close relationship with Max, all because Max himself probably tried the most for this. He insisted that Emilian move to Monaco, always spent winter breaks with him, and in general, Emilian was a frequent visitor to Charles and Max.

And then one day Charles's twin brother, Emmanuel, who was a complete copy of Charles, but his absolute opposite in character, returns to Monaco from New York.

2024 fic roundup game

What fandoms do you write in? Good Omens! Only Good Omens, Forever Good Omens.

How many words have you published in 2024? Ok, including some chapters for an upcoming [redcated] collab, I'm estimating 150k that I actually wrote. Which....isn't much in this incredibly talented fandom BUT was a lot for me.

What is your greatest achievement this year? Getting out there and collaborating!! I talked to artists (y'all are magical and terrifying), I joined the [redacted] project and wrote amazing angst with @gaiaseyes451, @sixbynine-da, @kneelbeforeyourdogbabylon, @groovynightstrawberry, and MxThirteen, PLUS more artists, @apocalyptic-scenes & babyrubysoho.

And then kept on writing with a lot of those folks to create some amazing crack - and Lucicrow?

My point is, once you start collaborating, you have no idea where it will take you!

What are your top three fics you’ve written this year? Mirrors (E, WIP but almost finished): Angsty reverse omens AU, but there's a happy ending I PROMISE. With amazing art from @daneecastle and @c0smicdisaster.

Cracked Pepper (E): Utterly absurd birthday crack for @kneelbeforeyourdogbabylon. I'm still tickled that I somehow wrote this.

Have We Been Here Before? (E): A one-shot love letter to the fandom (also podfic from the amazing @nosferatini )

What was your biggest pit of despair moment? Hmmm, I got kind of lost in my subplots in the middle of After Heaven. But it worked out and I actually love the ending.

I regularly despair that I will never have enough time to write - or to write as well as I want.

What have you learned? I've gotten some sense of the things I'm ok at. And learning to work on adding descriptions and feelings, not just plot.

What fic did you want to do but never made it off the ground? I have three historical scenes hopping around, but not fully formed yet...

Joon and The Lives of Others

Namjoon has been to the theatre to see the stage adaptation of the German film Das Leben der Anderen (2006). He posted this picture of himself with Lee Dong Hwi (Reply 1988) who plays the lead role of Gerd Wiesler a stasi officer tasked with spying on a well respected playwright Georg Dreyman. The play explores how the lives of both are changed by this encounter despite the two never meeting. If you are in Seoul the play is on until 19/01/2025.

The main difference between kidnapped au Buggy and unclenapped au Buggy is the speed (and way) at which they recover. The relationship between him and Shanks in both alternative cases could not be more different as well.

(for those who are confused: kidnapped au post1, post2, post3, unclenapped post1, post2(more links at the bottom of the post))

K(idnapped)! Buggy is almost souly dependent on Shanks. Even after he remembers Shanks and why he had a grudge with him, he's still too afraid to leave his side. Sure, Shanks (in his eyes) was the reason this happened but he's also his savior and the reason he's out of that hellhole. His fear of the outside world is greater than the anger he harbored.

It's a codependent relationship and everyone can see it. Sure, Buggy grew out of clinging onto Shanks's hand every time they went anywhere, though Shanks still initiates it sometimes. And how could Buggy refuse? Because if he did how could he guarantee that Shanks wouldn't leave him again. (Don't mind the fact that Shanks wasn't the one who left, trauma and extended periods of time can warp one's sense of reality)

K! Buggy has no one else. He would tell Shanks to fuck off, but the moment Shanks actually left him alone for a little, he would have this crippling fear that everyone and everything was out to get him again. And he was as defenseless and and doomed as all those years in the cell.

K! Shanks didn't want to feel so good about being so irreplaceable to K!Buggy. He wanted to feel bad about it, he really did. But the feeling of Buggy only being able to sleeping calmly in his arms was intoxicating.

Meanwhile U(nclenapped)! Buggy had the "getting over trauma deluxe" package all strawhats go through. He was surrounded by his friends and just like Robin in the beginning, he felt cared for, for the first time since he could remember. Of course, just like K!Buggy, U!Buggy couldn't do a lot on his own without the crippling fear taking him over. Or at least that was the case for a while.

When he reunites with Shanks (or I guess when Shanks finds them), he was almost the same bratty boy that he parted with all those years ago. And Shanks is so relieved, thinking that he barely changed. He just didn't know he did change, it's just that he changed twice. He could change for the better thanks to his new nakamas.
