notes on razlo's 3rd arm
》 as with anything on this blog, this is shrimply my opinion / hc — more power to ya if you think differently, but this is just what i personally think 《
cw: conceptual musculature, anatomical study, things like that (just to be safe)
some general notes to start: a lot of the motion required by the 3rd arm only utilizes the muscles of the back, along with the deltoid (and the lats + 'little lats' but i consider those to be part of the back muscle group). i had jotted down the known angles and positions wed been shown in trimax but those didnt make the crop so...🤷♂️
my personal takes:
it would work best and be the most straightforward approach to blend the organic muscle structure with the...well, "organic" additions. to do so, they would need a little extra wiggle room to properly connect things at the proper depth. leaving it along the surface as just an addition would probably give away a 'weak spot'—knowing how things have to be connected in order for something like that to Work means knowing where to hit thatll hurt like a BITCH and potentially stun / incapacitate razlo in the midst of things.
(of course, when it gets blasted off by ww, its pretty obvious that it hurts like a bitch anyways. but cmon a blasted magazine jammed in your back is Gonna Hurt)
now, i did say "organic" above—lets dig a little deeper into my hc sandbox, shall we?? there are a couple ways things could go: solely mechanical (lost tech could do Many Things...), the cadaver approach (i mean...), or the "failed experiment" approach (depends on how much you wanna blend canons between stamp and max on that one).
solely mechanical: the eye probably has a lot of access to tech that others may not have thanks to conrad (ew). given the weapons they produce, it wouldnt be far fetched!! i prefer a blend of mechanical and organic myself, but the opportunities are endless.
cadaver: they would likely have...quite a few bodies in different states, given the inherent level of violence it takes to become an assassin. finding someone who has the same bloodtype, similar levels of The Juice Blend (serum), things that would make the transplant Compatible—either that would be Real Easy or Real Hard. again, depends on the stance taken here. going off just bloodtype? easy. serum? harder. much harder, given it Seems there arent many who have the same autoregen that lr has. i could be wrong but wws reaction to it makes me Think.
experimental: mixing some of stamps ideas as far as "building" or "creating" new plants (i think ep 10 or 11??) in tanks makes for an interesting theory, i must say. fusing organic tissues from "failed" plants would be good for a more "natural" approach, potentially even allowing for a higher likelihood of their body accepting the transplant. this would also lead to...interesting conversations in the postcanon klr department. potentially knives blows a fucking gasket part two.
anyways, back to the topic at hand: the diagram
including thin plating under the layer of muscle, however you want to approach it, leads to an easier slide over more "stiff" anatomical areas—the spine, scapular zones, etc.
the muscle could overlap the existing "base" musculature, allowing lr to keep the regular function to their Actual Arms, but it would lead to a more thin, stretched connection to the 3rd arm. yet another reason to kind of "nestle" the port and humeral extension between their shoulders, while still allowing for the surface muscle to expand and contract to properly move it. the humeral extension leans more into cadaver territory, given that it would be easiest to apply a prothesis approach based on an "available information" bias.
the blood / vein and nervous connections allow for more tactile sense in the arm—how tight to grip a weapon without misfiring would require that!! as well as having a general idea of Where it is and What Position its resting in. from what i can tell, having the palm rotated outward and keeping it curled seems to be the natural resting position, but i could be wrong. it could also rest palm in and just...down. could also depend on the situation, whether hes holding a punisher, etc.
at the "core" or base of the arm, there would likely be...somewhat of a mirrored delt situation necessary in order to pull the arm up, rotate it, etc. along with a mirrored scapula and "spine" of the scapula!! just to have a good, solid base. the addition of an extra clavicle down and back would also help form a good "starting point" for the muscle to build off of, along with providing extra connected muscle that may be necessary for motion.
of course i am no medical expert and i could be very wrong on all of this. dont care though. these are my thoughts. My Sandbox.

Maintenance Tips for Prolonging Switchgear Lifespan
Switchgear plays a crucial role in protecting electrical equipment and ensuring uninterrupted power distribution in industrial, commercial, and utility sectors. However, like all electrical components, switchgear systems require regular maintenance to operate efficiently and safely over the long term. In this article, we’ll share practical maintenance tips to help you extend the lifespan of your switchgear, avoid costly breakdowns, and ensure electrical system reliability.
Why Switchgear Maintenance Is Essential
Switchgear acts as the first line of defense against electrical faults like overloads and short circuits. Over time, wear and tear, dust, corrosion, and thermal stress can degrade performance and compromise safety. Regular maintenance:
· Minimizes unexpected failures
· Improves system reliability and safety
· Reduces downtime and repair costs
· Complies with industry safety regulations
· Maximizes ROI on your electrical infrastructure
How Often Should You Maintain Switchgear?
The frequency of maintenance depends on several factors such as:
· Type of switchgear (LV, MV, HV)
· Environmental conditions (dust, humidity, corrosive atmosphere)
· Load demands and operational cycles
· Manufacturer recommendations
· Industry standards like NFPA 70B, IEC 62271, or IEEE C37.20
General rule of thumb:
· Annually for high-use equipment
· Every 2–3 years for moderate-use systems
· After any electrical fault or overload event
Top Maintenance Tips to Extend Switchgear Life
1. Visual Inspection
Routine visual checks help identify early signs of damage or wear. Look for:
· Discoloration, soot marks, or burns (indicating overheating)
· Loose or corroded connections
· Moisture accumulation or signs of water ingress
· Physical damage to busbars, enclosures, and insulation
Tip: Use thermal imaging cameras to detect hot spots not visible to the naked eye.
2. Clean Internal and External Components
Dust, moisture, and debris inside the panel can cause insulation failure or arcing. Clean:
· Circuit breakers
· Insulators and terminals
· Ventilation filters and fans
· Panel enclosures
Tip: Always de-energize the equipment and follow safety protocols before cleaning.
3. Tighten Electrical Connections
Loose connections increase resistance and heat buildup, leading to arcing or fires. Use a torque wrench to ensure connections meet manufacturer specs.
Include this in every scheduled maintenance visit.
4. Test Protection Relays and Breakers
Periodic testing ensures that:
· Protection relays function correctly during fault conditions
· Circuit breakers trip at the correct fault current and time delay
· Settings match your current system requirements
Use secondary injection testing for relay calibration.
5. Lubricate Moving Parts
Switchgear often includes mechanical components like:
· Circuit breaker mechanisms
· Interlocks
· Draw-out systems
Apply appropriate lubricants to reduce friction and wear. Avoid over-lubrication, which can attract dust.
6. Perform Insulation Resistance Testing
This test checks for the integrity of insulation between conductors and ground. Use a megohmmeter (megger) to:
· Detect insulation breakdown
· Identify early signs of moisture intrusion
· Prevent short circuits and equipment failure
Test results should be compared with baseline readings over time.
7. Monitor Environmental Conditions
Ensure that your switchgear room or enclosure maintains:
· Proper ventilation and cooling
· Low humidity (use dehumidifiers if needed)
· No exposure to corrosive chemicals or salt-laden air
Install environmental sensors for early alerts.
8. Upgrade Aging Components
Older switchgear may still operate, but aging components become unreliable. Consider upgrading:
· Obsolete relays or meters
· Worn-out insulation or gaskets
· Outdated protective devices
Retrofit kits are often available without needing complete replacement.
9. Document Everything
A detailed maintenance log helps with:
· Trend analysis and predictive maintenance
· Warranty compliance
· Regulatory inspections
· Tracking component life cycles
Use digital tools or maintenance software to streamline documentation.
Pro Tip: Partner with Certified Professionals
While in-house checks are useful, partnering with certified technicians or authorized service centers ensures advanced diagnostics, compliance, and safer operations.
Look for service providers with:
· Experience in your industry
· Manufacturer certifications
· Knowledge of local electrical codes and safety standards

Halloween Fic Special Preview!
(A little chunk of Jus Sanguinis for the week while I try to scrape together enough brain cells to finish the last major scenes)
The coastal city of Spargus had lived with the storms for generations, watching the once broad oases narrow and dwindle as the winds displaced topsoil at devastating rates. The sands had swallowed many of their warriors before the Spargans created The Crawler. The massive armored vehicle, replete with emergency supplies and enough armor to give even a metalpede pause, undoubtedly saved lives. But it was slow moving, and Wastelanders on foot often did not have enough time to get to the mobile shelter before the damage to their skin and lungs was beyond the power of an eco pack to heal. And being the only vehicle of its kind meant that if one part broke -- say, a blown head gasket -- the behemoth was stranded until a replacement could be located and driven to its location...after the storm had ended.
"Piece of crap-!" Jak aimed a vicious kick at the front end of the cab and slammed the door behind him.
"This never happens when Daxter is here."
"I don't know whether that is meant to compliment Daxter, or to insult me," his companion said dryly.
King Damas pulled his scarf further up over his mouth and nose and gestured grimly to the massive tank on the Crawler's back.
"The wind is picking up. We need to get inside."
Jak shook sand out of his goggles and dropped to the ground to join him.
"What about the rest of the raiding party?" he snapped, "We can't just leave them!"
Damas’s hand twitched -- the only visible indication that he had any opinions on Jak’s tone.
"Getting angry is counterproductive," he said sharply. "They are all experienced survivors. They will know their best bet is to make it to Broken Sandal Canyon."
You're tense, too! Jak wanted to shout.
But fighting with Damas, he had long since learned, was a very poor life choice. Besides, this man had all but pried him out of the jaws of death before he even knew what Jak was capable of, binding their lives together despite the doubts of his subjects. Jak knew he didn't deserve to be lashed out at. But he just couldn't help it!
Without Daxter he was on-edge. Unsettled.
It couldn't be helped: Daxter was very unwillingly resting at home with some variation of a local childhood disease. As it turned out, being born hundreds of years earlier did not make one immune to The Gripes. Jak, curiously, had yet to manifest the allegedly contagious disease, despite having been in close quarters with Daxter until leaving with the raiding party that morning. Perhaps it was his generally eco-saturated nature that made him resistant to some germs?
Speaking of eco, were you paying attention to your dark intake during the ambush?
Jak shoved the thought away and trudged through the worsening winds to the back of the Crawler.
His eco levels were a little high, sure, but nothing he couldn't handle. He'd gone days without exploding before.
Liar. You exploded every single day in Haven, or near enough to it.
At least the engine failure didn't prevent anything else in the Crawler from working. The closing of the back hatch left them both stranded in a little island of flickering overhead light, while the sounds of the storm faded to a muffled hiss. Damas lowered himself to one of the benches anchored against the wall and stretched his legs out, using the net of medical supplies hanging from the overhead rack as a kind of backrest. He seemed far more comfortable with the situation than Jak was. He watched Jak pace in front of the hatch, noting with some interest that Jak was far more on-edge than usual. He wasn't just frustrated, he was rattled.
"It's just a storm, kid."
Damas leaned back and closed his eyes.
"You've driven in them before."
"Yeah," Jak grunted, "with Daxter."
"Hm." The king raised his brows, but did not open his eyes. "You're not often apart, are you?"
"Not if I can help it," Jak answered shortly. "Not looking to repeat two years of involuntary separation."
The hiss of the sand against the hull rose for a moment in the quiet that followed Jak's words. Then, half to himself, Damas murmured, "Ah. The prison."
Jak's stomach turned a flip.
He still didn't know what had possessed him to confess to his erstwhile conservator why he could transform. What had been done to him in the pits of the Fortress. Damas had taken it well at the time -- no disgust, or condescension- or worse, pity. But the fear nagged at Jak regardless with each following day, whispering in the back of his mind that Damas was looking at him different now. That if Jak strayed too far out of line, his past might be held up in front of him in an attempt to make sense of his actions.
The second he told people something was wrong with him, it became their go-to explanation every time he did something they didn't like. Even Dax did it once in a while- though he at least made conscious efforts to be less careless with his words. Honestly, Jak was shocked Damas hadn't brought it up after his moment of defiance in the Arena.
Something smacked against the Crawler's armor -- likely a rock -- and Jak jumped and cursed. It was too quiet in the shelter. He didn't like the quiet, or the lack of windows showing him what was going on outside. It was like being in a storage crate, or a garage.
Or a cell.
Feeling an electric twinge of weirdwrongbad crawling along the nerves surrounding his scar tissue, Jak began to pace quicker. He focused on breathing as much as he could, and let his gaze sweep across the hold. Any detail that could set this place apart from the cells was noted and clung to.
"Settle, boy."
Damas still hadn't opened his eyes. He folded his arms across his chest and shifted his weight slightly.
"We'll need our strength once the storm has passed. Don't waste your energy on restless nerves."
"Easy for you to say!" Jak retorted.
Watch it, Jak. Eco's boiling up. Get it under control before you really start mouthing off.*
"We've both seen what a storm like this can do to a person. To a broken down vehicle. How are you so calm right now?!"
The older warrior's lips quirked up with a soft chuckle.
"I've been around, kid," he answered wryly, "I've waited out my share of storms in the Crawler. This is no larger or smaller than any other sandstorm I've faced before."

In the wake of the Los Angeles wildfires, many people—including city officials—described the aftermath as being like a bomb had detonated. Not only have buildings been destroyed, but underground, melted plastic and a slurry of ash and debris threaten to end up in the maze of pipes that transport fresh drinking water, contaminating the municipal water supply.
Residents in affected areas have been placed under unsafe water advisories, being instructed not to drink the tap water until further notice. How long drinking water will remain unsafe for residents is still unclear, says Faith Kearns, scientist and director of research communications with the Arizona Water Innovation Initiative at Arizona State University. Drinking contaminated water in fire-affected areas could lead to waterborne illness, like the intestinal infection Giardia, or result in long-term health consequences from exposure to cancer-causing chemicals.
Initially, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) issued a “boil water” advisory on Wednesday January 8 that allowed residents in fire-affected and fire-adjacent areas to drink water after boiling it. By Friday, however, it was upgraded to a “Do Not Drink” alert. While boiling water kills viruses and bacteria, it will not protect against common chemical contaminants often introduced during wildfires, says Daniel McCurry, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering at the University of Southern California.
According to the City of Pasadena, where the Eaton Fire is burning, you should not try to treat the water yourself. “Boiling, freezing, filtering, adding chlorine or other disinfectants, or letting water stand will not make the water safe to drink,” reads the alert. The advisory also warns residents not only to avoid drinking the water, but to limit hot water activities such as bathing, dishwashing, and laundry, which can release chemicals into the air.
“If your region is under a Do Not Drink advisory, it’s probably because some part of the water distribution system has burned,” says McCurry. Burned components can introduce volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other harmful chemicals into the water supply. The severity of these issues will depend on how much physical damage the water infrastructure has endured. “These fires aren’t even out yet, so it’s a very dynamic situation,” Kearns says.
Vulnerable parts of the water system include the plastic components in water meters, pipes, gaskets, and storage tanks. This plastic is largely made up of polyvinyl chloride—PVC—and contains VOCs that are known to cause cancer if released. The most well-known is benzene, but dozens of equally harmful chemicals could enter the system depending on the material that’s breaking down. Once the plastic melts, these chemicals leach directly into the water and evaporate into the air.
Although experts haven’t confirmed VOC contamination in Los Angeles yet, because it’s too early for workers to perform testing in burned areas, past fires—like the Tubbs Fire in Santa Rosa, California and the Lahaina Fire in Maui, Hawaii—suggest that it’s highly likely. “In recent years, we’ve seen that fires are burning so hot that they will melt plastic piping,” says Kearns. “With structure destruction and depressurization, the water utilities likely have contamination,” adds Andrew Whelton, associate professor of civil, environmental, and ecological engineering at Purdue University, who frequently consults with municipalities across the country about wildfire water response.
Depressurization, the other big contributor to contamination, occurs when firefighting efforts draw massive amounts of water from the system in a short period. “A water line that connects to a house can generally put out about 9 gallons per minute,” says Whelton.“Firefighters can draw 500 gallons or up to 1,500 gallons of water per minute. So if you were to run five or six pumper trucks off of a water line, you’re looking at thousands of gallons of water being extracted from the water system in a very short period.”
When that happens, water pressure plummets, and the system becomes vulnerable to bacteria or chemicals entering the system from the surrounding environment. Usually, the high pressure of the water inside the system prevents any outside contaminants—such as soil or groundwater—from being able to find their way inside the system’s components.
Structural damage from fires can also result in pressure losses, says Whelton. In the case of large-scale fires like the Palisades or Eaton fires, you can have huge volumes of water dumping, uncontrolled, out of the system, due to pipes and other parts of the system being ruptured. Where there is damage, smoke and debris can be sucked into the water system, while damaged sewage lines can leak into the drinking water pipes that run nearby. “When the water system utility starts to try to repressurize, they start pushing that contaminated water through the infrastructure again,” says Whelton.
During the Marshall Fire in Louisville, Colorado in 2021, which burned over 1,000 homes, city officials advised residents to use mains water only for flushing until extensive testing confirmed safety. Given that over 12,000 structures have burned in Los Angeles as of Monday morning, the potential of widespread contamination is significant, Kearns warns.
The coming days and weeks will be crucial. Once water experts assess the damage, they will determine whether the system can be flushed clean or if infrastructure repairs are necessary. If enough has burned, workers will need to replace pumps, pipes, and even tanks. For parts of Los Angeles County served by LADWP, McCurry estimates this recovery could take anywhere from a few days to weeks.
Altadena and the surrounding regions, however, are serviced by multiple smaller water providers, like the Lincoln Avenue Water Company, Las Flores Water Company, Rubio Canon Land and Water Association, and Kinneloa Irrigation District—all of which have issued Do Not Drink notices. “In the case of a large water system like LADWP, you’ll probably see things resume a little bit faster,” says Kearns. “For smaller water providers, which can sometimes have just a couple of employees and not have the budgets for these kinds of events, they may have some struggles.” Santa Cruz experienced similar challenges during the CZU Lightning Complex Fire in 2020, with the water service taking months to stabilize. McCurry warns that some regions may require years to build from scratch or overhaul large systems that have burned.
It’s vital for residents to stay informed about recovery efforts, because alert systems can be complicated, and many residents may not even receive them, says Kearns. People should “proactively seek out any boil or Do Not Drink water alerts from your water provider, your city, your county,” she advises. “Share those with your neighbors and make sure any folks who might have languages other than English as a first language get those alerts and understand what’s happening.”
Some places, like Louisville in Colorado, and Maui in Hawaii, released public access maps that tracked water quality at each land plot, which helped to keep residents informed during the months and years that followed.
Before lifting advisories, water providers are legally required by the State of California to monitor for benzene. However, Whelton cautions that benzene isn’t the only chemical of concern and the list of potential contaminants is long. Both government and third-party testing services do not always account for every possible exposure. “It’s possible that some of those chemicals could linger for longer than water providers expect,” echoes McCurry. He still recommends staying vigilant. Activated charcoal filters can help remove some organic contaminants, but they may not fully eliminate risks.
Safe water can be restored after a fire,” says Whelton. “The communities that recover rapidly and stronger are those who work together and support one another.”

Ogh, my brain is super deadspace right now. I have an assignment from the job that's not paying me enough, but I don't even feel like doing it. Like, I am, but I don't wanna do it right now. I want to write stuff I enjoy, but I'm not sure where to start.
So I'll just start by talking more about the Marnie AU I have for the Sonic franchise, cause I realized that I didn't actually post a lot about her around here despite thinking I did.
It must've been something on a Twitter I've already deleted.
Anyway, about Marnie.
---
Marnie is the result of the stuff that happened after the purple Chaos Emerald was temporarily destroyed by Dr. Eggman. As mentioned in the first post I made about her a while back, Sonic (intersex) and Shadow did The Letter H, not expecting anything to come of it like all the other times, but well, Chaos energy doesn't follow logic all the time, especially when something as important as a Chaos Emerald needs to be reformed.
So, no, Marnie isn't actually the Chaos Emerald, but she is a biproduct of pure Chaos energy, so her connection with the Chaos Emeralds is pretty strong.
She's 3 years old, but she looks to be about 6-ish because she grows faster than normal. Her powerful blood means she only ever gets sick with something once, and after a day or two, she becomes immune to it. Marnie can digest just about anything, from chili dogs to heavy metal gaskets and oil. Though, she generally prefers human and mobian food when she feels like eating.
She's an alien-hedgehog hybrid with low empathy but an inquisitive mind. Sometimes she can come off as rude or selfish, but she doesn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. She also doesn't quite understand jokes or sarcasm all the time, but she's getting better at it with Sonic's and Shadow's help. Though, really, Sonic does a lot for her socialization, because Sonic's also surprisingly low on his own empathy.
(After all, he keeps Eggman around because "he can do good," but if he's honest, he just finds Eggman incredibly entertaining... What? Others are the ones who started calling him a hero. He's just a guy who loves adventure. He's not happy that people die or get hurt sometimes, but it's not like he can or wants to control the world, y'know? Whoever said great power comes with great responsibility is a hack. He just goes along with the hero shtick cause saving people is fun and that's how he's made his friends, and he's happy if they're happy.)
It's because of their similarity in this regard that he's able to teach her how to find things important to her and do what she enjoys in ways that isolate her less. After all, although he initially didn't really get why Tails was following him, the fox grew on him, and now Tails is his brother! She may not feel the same things others do, but there's a lot of positive feelings in not being lonely.
Given, Shadow is also lower on empathy than others, typically just doing what he wants to do and what he feels is right. Sonic and Shadow very much aren't that different in that regard. But Shadow has experienced tragic loss in ways Sonic hasn't (not to anyone's knowledge, but honestly, Sonic's history is nebulous), so he is also quite in touch with his emotions, especially after Sonic's birthday a few years back.
(He values the planet, but the beings on it could die and he would not care. He has fewer close to him than Sonic, but he does fiercely protect those he has allowed in his inner circle. At the end of the day, if the world turns on him, he'll turn on the world, but he won't let the planet die out. As much as he misses Maria, he doesn't care to give humanity more chances. But the blue planet, a relic and important memory of his first family—and now, the home of his second and third ones—will always be something he wants to care for as long as his ultimate power remains.)
Anyway, with both her parents understanding her fairly unempathetic nature, she has not once felt a lack of love from them. And, while she may not always understand how others feel and can't quite put herself in their shoes all the time, she's compassionate, generous, and hardworking. She also tends to go with the flow of things, even if she's uncomfortable with the situation. But she tries to get her questions answered by evaluating whatever is happening around her, only asking when she feels she doesn't understand.
I'll write some more about her a bit later.

Monarch the Butterfly warframe
Monarch is one of the frames from this season I was really excited to work on. They're also one of the few that I have very clear notes on the appearance for, and oh boy it's steeped with trans allegory. Saturated, in fact. Monarch has two forms; caterpillar and butterfly. These modes share their colors but helmets and skins can be chosen for each mode separately. Every alt helmet and premium skin includes a separate customization for the caterpillar and butterfly modes. Monarch's caterpillar form is based on hazmat suits, bulky and lumpy and industrial; meanwhile their butterfly form is slender and colorful, elf or fairy like. Monarch mood board here. Primary color is a drab, desaturated garbage-bag grayish green with a matte leathery or rubbery texture; in caterpillar mode this covers the majority of the 'hazmat suit' and in butterfly mode it is relegated to the tattered scraps of torn cloth hanging from the gaskets of the suit that has been shredded by Monarch's transformation. Secondary and tertiary colors are a hot pink and lime green both with a slightly shiny and smooth texture; in caterpillar mode these are used as very small accents resembling warning symbols and in butterfly mode they become dominant, covering the majority of Monarch's new body with bright stripes. Accent color is a dark bronze in reflective metallic texture; in both forms it is mostly relegated to the bulky shackle-like gaskets of the hazmat suit's wrists, ankles, and neck. Accent color is also featured prominently in the gasmask-like features of the caterpillar form's helmet and appears in thin decorative bands on the butterfly form to highlight its new exaggerated figure. Energy and emissive color is a potent acid yellow-green.
Health: 270 (370 at rank 30) Shields: 135 (185 at rank 30) Armor: 450 Energy: 175 (225 at rank 30) Sprint Speed: 1.0
Passive: Monarch has two passives: Hungry and Metamorphosis. Hungry: Health orbs, energy orbs, and ammo pickups restore 20% more resources when picked up by Monarch. Metamorphosis: Monarch's kills and assisted kills generate stacks of Metamorphosis which are used to power Monarch's ultimate ability. Monarch generates 0.5 stacks of Metamorphosis for every weapon kill, 1 stack for every ability kill, and 0.25 stacks for every kill assist. Metamorphosis is tracked by a custom UI element similar to Nidus' mutation stacks. Metamorphosis has a maximum of 99 stacks.
Ability 1: Feed, 25 energy. Monarch lunges at the enemy closest to their crosshairs within 5 meters, and steals a portion of health by biting a chunk out of their victim. The enemy takes 250+X slash and 250+X toxic damage (where X is equal to 7% of the victim's max health & shields) with 20% status chance and Monarch is healed for 25% of their max health. If the enemy is below 20% of max health or currently vulnerable to a mercy finisher they are killed instantly and Monarch is healed for 33% of their max health. In addition to its normal status chance if Feed hits a shielded enemy the target will receive a guaranteed toxic status proc and if it hits an enemy that is un-shielded or whose shield is broken it will instead trigger a guaranteed slash status proc. Healing from Feed restores health and shields, if health and shields are full it will generate overshields, and if overshields are full it may grant up to 1200 points of overguard.
Ability 2: Urticate, 50 energy. With a spasming shudder Monarch sheds a cloud of rough and toxic dust from their body. Upon activation all enemies within a 15 meter radius are dealt 200+X toxic damage (where X is equal to the enemy's level times 2) with 25% status chance and also blinded and vulnerable to melee finisher attacks for the next 12 seconds. Urticate deals 50% bonus damage to enemies below 15% of max health.
Ability 3: Mimicry, 75 energy. Combining a bit of Orokin science and Tenno magic, Monarch conjures up a doppleganger in their own likeness which persists for 8 seconds. The doppleganger created by Mimicry taunts enemies within line of sight, provoking them to attack it instead of the Tenno. Once summoned the doppleganger will begin sprinting away from Monarch and towards the highest concentration of enemies it can detect within 60 meters until it expires. Upon expiration the doppleganger releases a nova dealing 800+X radiation damage (where X is equal to 15% of all damage it absorbed while active) with 100% status chance. Base status chance for Mimicry's expiration scales with ability strength and gains a non-modifiable 1.5x bonus against enemies below 50% of max health and 2x against enemies below 25% of max health.
Ability 4: Eclose, toggled ability, requires (but does not consume) a minimum of 10 Metamorphosis stacks to activate, consumes 1 stack of Metamorphosis per second while active. When Eclose is activated Monarch's lumpy, drab caterpillar form bursts open and is ripped asunder as they assume their true svelte and colorful form as a beautiful fey butterfly. Activating Eclose causes Monarch to gain +25% sprint speed, +25% damage resistance, and +50% jump height as well as adding new or enhanced effects to Monarch's other abilities. If Monarch runs out of Metamorphosis stacks while Eclose is active the ability will forcibly terminate and Monarch will suffer a -25% movement speed penalty until reaching 10 stacks of Metamorphosis. Feed now strikes up to three enemies in a 15 meter 90 degree cone in front of Monarch and is no longer a lunge attack as Monarch's proboscis extends and penetrates enemies. Urticate has its radius increased to 25 meters and deals its damage a total of 3 times with a 4 second delay between damage procs. Total proc count can be affected by both ability duration and casting speed. Mimicry has its base status chance doubled, and applies one additional random status proc for every radiation proc it inflicts. All primary and secondary elemental status procs except radiation may be applied.
Subsumed ability: Feed.
Signature Weapons Akantimachus: A pair of dual pistols with two firing modes. Primary fire is semi-auto, roughly average firing speed and per-shot damage for a semi-auto dual pistol with long range and high accuracy. Secondary fire mode has a burstfire trigger, firing 4 rounds from each gun for a total of 8 rounds in each burst. Per-hit damage is identical to primary fire but range and accuracy are reduced severely. Slightly enlarged magazine for a semi-auto pistol with an average reload speed. Akantimachus deals roughly even values of impact, puncture, slash, and toxic damage. Slightly above average crit and status chance. Headshots with this weapon deal bonus toxic damage equal to 2% of the victim's max health & shields which does not combine with other elements. Monarch's signature sidearm, the Akantimachus grants 0.75 stacks of metamorphosis on kill and 0.5 stacks on kill assist. Viceroy: A beautiful and exotic transforming heavy melee weapon made possible thanks to Tenno ingenuity and bloodthirst. This weapon has two modes: an axe-style heavy blade and a hammer. Performing a heavy attack with a combo multiplier of 3x or higher transforms the Viceroy between modes upon the attack's completion. As a unique feature the Viceroy has two stance mod slots, one for each mode, but neither is polarized. While in heavy blade mode the Viceroy has above-average attack speed but below-average per-hit damage for a heavy blade dealing mostly slash, moderate puncture, and low impact with high status chance at the cost of low crit chance. In hammer mode Viceroy has roughly average speed and per-hit damage for a hammer dealing mostly impact, moderate puncture, and low slash with high crit chance at the cost of low status chance. Both modes have a below-average reach for their category and an average critical multiplier. As Monarch's signature melee weapon the Viceroy transforms with every heavy attack regardless of combo while in Monarch's hands. Viceroy will always start in hammer mode upon entering a mission.
Closing Notes: Oh my god this was a fun one. Those are some big blocks of text. Monarch came out basically exactly as I was hoping. The only downside I can even attribute to them is that their ult is another "universal upgrade for all my regular abilities" ult that I seem to rely on more often than I would like, but for Monarch is 111% on-brand. The weapon names were chosen because the Viceroy is the most common mimic of the Monarch butterfly and antimachus - or the African giant swallowtail - is the most poisonous butterfly in the world.

Tommykaira m08 brochure.
Small Magical Box
A small, small "magic box"
Tommy Kaira transformed GM's worldwide compact car "Matiz" designed by Giugiaro into a sports car!
The cute exterior, sensual exhaust note, engine that is fun to rev, and exquisite suspension tune are just the ``magic boxes'' that will put a smile on your face!
Just like the ``Tommykaira M13'' based on the Nissan March, the Matiz is equipped with a traditional engine tune and a suspension called Tommykaira Magic, making it a truly tiny micro-sport! The 800cc engine never generates large horsepower. The M08 is not a fast car because it maintains its rotation. However, once you learn how to drive this M08, you'll learn that horsepower has nothing to do with sports cars!
Now, let's go to "Small World" with m08!
PIC CAPTION
The photo is a development vehicle and is equipped with a front diffuser, but it is not included in the actual product.
Also, details may differ from the actual product.
Tommy Kaira Magic by a skilled mechanic!
In order to make Matiz 800cc engine, which is by no means powerful, as fun as a sports car, the tuning chosen by Tommy Kaira is the standard NA tune, which includes traditional engine head surface grinding and port polishing.
However, the rev limiter has been tuned to make the most of the many years of know-how that has been used to create cars.
The engine that revs up without stress is truly the genealogy of the Tommykaira complete car!
A small displacement engine such as 800cc may feel like it lacks torque at low speeds, but the feeling of power that jumps up from around 4000 rpm is thrilling!
In addition, the specially designed suspension kit has a stiff setting, but has an exquisite setting that suppresses the feeling of thrusting and generates just the right amount of roll while maintaining stickiness.
Additionally, the specially developed exhaust muffler and Tommykaira original intake system not only improve efficiency, but also provide a pleasant sound to the driver, with a sensual sound quality.
Yes, as you can see from this tuning content, the "Tommykaira M08" is truly a sports car!
The city where you usually drive is the circuit!
The specs for the Tommykaira m08 are only 70 horsepower.
In this day and age where manufacturers are releasing cars with large displacement engines and over 300 horsepower, it's natural to think that they are too weak.
However, how many places and drivers can use all that power to drive?
Even if you only have 70 horsepower, if you can make full use of it, you'll never be inferior to a car with that much power!
Due to the engine characteristics of the ``Tommykaira M08,'' it is necessary to maintain high rotation speed while driving.
You can drive by turning, downshifting, and turning corners... Because there is no horsepower, you can enjoy the fun of driving on a circuit, even in the city, while staying within the legal speed limit!
Let's run around the city in a small "magic box" in search of a real smile!
m08
Tommykaira m08 Tuned Matiz
Exterior that emphasizes the cuteness of the base car
The design of the ``Matisse'', which is the base car for the ``Tommykaira M08'', is by Giugiaro. Its cute exterior design is unlike any other, and is full of originality that can show off the individuality of the rider.
Tommykaira has transformed its exterior with the traditional center stripe and side diffuser to further emphasize its presence!
Its adorable exterior looks more like a pet than a car. "Tommykaira m08" is your own car, different from others!

Very curious what you recommend for an all season chassis in a place that gets snow. Ive had Toyota's, fords mostly and usually stick to rwd but I think I need to consider a 4wd/awd. A bit wary of subies because of the head gaskets and general particularity of them. Please advise!
if you wanna stick to what you know, the toyota rav4 is great, pretty much any generation, same with the tacoma. the toyota matrix also had an awd option, if you don’t want an suv or truck. you could also go with a honda cr-v, especially the older ones
if you wanna go older i can personally vouch for the jeep cherokee xj, the 1997-2001 specifically (just bc that’s what i have) i like in new england in an area where we get some pretty dense and heavy snowfall, and i haven’t had to touch a snow shovel since i bought my 01 xj. just powers over or through it
i wanna say subarus post-2005 or so were less prone to the head gasket problems, and i can vouch that my 04 wrx did great in snow (sold it when the clutch went out)
tbh though the most important things are your tires and driving skill. a muscle car with snow tires practicing gentle acceleration and not turning while braking will do better driving in the snow than a lot of awd cars out there. i’m planning on my next car probably being big, heavy, and rwd, and i will definitely be investing in some good snow tires. a lot of people will put a set on cheap steel wheels so they can just swap out their wheels in the spring instead of buying new tires every 8 months. helps both sets go longer

Gate Valve supplier in Oman
Middleeast valve is one of the best Gate valve supplier in Oman . We supply to cities like Ibri, Sur, Muscat, and Mutrah.
A gate valve is a type of valve used to control the flow of fluids (liquids or gases) by using a gate or wedge-like disc that moves perpendicular to the flow path to either block or allow the passage of the fluid.
The main function of a gate valve is to provide a tight shutoff, effectively stopping the flow of fluid through the pipeline when the valve is fully closed, and allowing unrestricted flow when the valve is fully open. Gate valves are commonly used in applications where the fluid flow needs to be completely shut off, such as in water supply systems, oil and gas pipelines, industrial processes, and more.
Gate valves consist of several main components, including the body, gate (wedge), stem, actuator, and seats. Here's how they work:
Open Position:
In the open position, the gate (wedge) is fully retracted into the valve body, allowing the fluid to flow through the valve with minimal obstruction. The gate moves perpendicular to the direction of the fluid flow. The valve is opened by turning the valve stem (either manually using a handwheel or with an actuator) which is connected to the gate.
Closing Position:
To close the valve, the stem is turned in the opposite direction, causing the gate to move down into the flow path of the fluid. As the gate descends, it gradually restricts the flow until the valve is completely closed. The gate makes contact with the valve seats located at the bottom of the valve body, forming a tight seal that prevents any further flow.
Middleeast valve is the greatest Gate valve supplier in Oman and are known for their ability to provide a tight seal and low pressure drop when fully open. However, they might require more turns to fully open or close compared to other valve types like ball valves. It's important to use gate valves in appropriate applications and avoid using them for flow regulation where frequent adjustments are necessary.
