Shadows Of Our Past, Present, and (possible) Future — Series
Join the Discord Server! :)
My Hero Academia — Female!OC Fan Fiction on AO3
Tumblr media
Part One (Completed — 93k words):
The one where Shota Aizawa stumbles upon a back alley full of stray cats and ends up adopting a child
“Fine, then a cat? We both know how much you love those little furry…things.” At this, Shota paused the game and turned to the pushy blonde next to him. “I actually have considered that.” “And?” “And: also, no. It makes no sense.” Hizashi looked almost scandalized. “Makes no sense?” “I made a pro and contra list.” “Of course you did.”
When underground hero Shota Aizawa, twenty-two years old, is out on patrol one Friday evening, he doesn't expect that a single meow from a cat would lead him to find a homeless girl called Yoru. From then on, Yoru and Shota grow up together, make mistakes together, and try to overcome every obstacle life throws at them.

Tumblr media
Part Two (Ongoing, regular updates — growing long fic — 565k words so far — READ PART 1 FIRST, PLEASE AND THANK YOU):
The one where Yoru Aizawa tries to navigate through life at U.A.
Two days after her fifteenth birthday, Yoru decides to drop the bomb on him. “I want to go to U.A.” “You want to go to U.A.” Her Dad puts the book he's been reading down on the glass balcony table.  “Yes, I want to go to U.A.” She slumps down on the outdoor couch next to him, grabbing the discarded book. “What are you reading?” ‘A Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi — The classic guide to strategy ’. She raises an eyebrow. “Reading that for fun, huh?” “Why do you want to go to U.A.? You never cared much about heroes. Besides Edgeshot, that is.” Yoru smirks up at him. “What, jealous?” “As if.” “You know, even if they sold Eraserhead posters, I wouldn’t hang them up. It would be super weird.” “Good to know where your loyalties lie.” He rolls his eyes. “Back to the topic at hand, why do you want to go to U.A.? Because Shinso wants to go?” “No.” Pause. “Okay, that may be part of it. But I’m serious. I’ve been thinking about it for a while now, and I really want to go.” “That might be so, but you still neglected to tell me why you want to attend there.” Yoru plays with her hair, noting how it’s time for another hair cut when she finds some split ends. “I wanna be a hero.” Her Dad blinks. “A hero?” “Yes. Well, I want to help people and do some good with that shitty quirk of mine.”
When Yoru tells her Dad that she wants to attend U.A., she expects it to be a difficult path. She didn't expect all the awkwardness, blossoming friendships, confusing feelings, and near-death experiences, though.

Please heed the warnings/tags (TWs in the author's notes of chapters where they apply to).
Also: because someone asked this before - you can read it as a reader insert if you want. I don't mind at all. Feel free to imagine yourself as part of the story. Just know that Yoru (the OC) will have descriptions of her visual appearance.
This story is a mix of:
Slice of life
Hurt/Comfort
Angst/Fluff
Humor
Dadzawa
SLOW BURN Romance — Enemies to Lovers (Bakugo x Yoru)
SLOW BURN Romance — EraserMic (but it's a subtle slow burn)
Growing up, coming of age (hopefully lol)
Teenage awkwardness
Mixed media (pictures, music, chat screenshots (later on in Part 2), etc. — chat screenshots will always have the written text below, to make it accessible for visually impaired folks or people who use screen readers)
and more...
Author: NoBecksPleaseNo on AO3
Please don't copy or plagiarize the work, the character, the premise, etc. Also, no cross-posting anywhere, please and thank you.
Disclaimer: Yoru's image is AI generated and then edited/adjusted by the author - I did not know better at the time of making that header picture, and will hopefully get around to re-designing the whole thing at some point. The other character images in the header are from Pinterest (besides the one of Present Mic/Midnight, that one's from the light novels) — unfortunately without a source. If you're the artist, and you're not okay with me using them, please message me and I will remove them. If you're the artist and are okay with me using them, please tell me, so I can credit you.
Besides the OC characters, I don't own any already existing characters from the My Hero Academia Universe — that honor belongs to Kohei Horikoshi.

♥️ Learn how to love every SINGLE placement in your birth/natal chart (tips and list) ♥️
Tumblr media
°💮°💮°💮°💮°💮°💮°💮°💮°💮°💮°💮°💮°💮
♥️ First, let's start with the definition of your birth chart, your birth chart or your astrological natal chart is supposed and meant to show your whole life stages, your destiny, challenges good and bad things, your cosmic journey!! Is like a map and you learn to discover yourself more and more with every placement you have!!♥️
Is heavily used by people who believe or have their own beliefs in astrology and spirituality, it was also used by most of our ancestors back in the times where it wasn't crazy to believe in astrology!!
Tips of how to learn to love every single placement/aspect in your natal/birth chart:
Try to start and read about placements in your natal chart, try to take it on stages, first start to read about your sun sign, the sun placement, the house of your sun sign then move into next planet as you wish or you like, just try to like not get dizzy and to do in order
Always think that even though birth charts can show or indicate some "challenges" or difficulties those hardships are for your own great good, so is not like some bad things happen to you and those bad things will stay in your life forever...NO don't think it that way, think as they will learn you something and you will learn something from them and then those things will go away!
Every sign is beautiful in their own way, yes there is some astro-beauty thing going on tumblr where some placements in your natal chart can indicate some specific things about your beauty and appearance, but is very important to not feel like you are not included!! No Venus sign is better or more beautiful than the OTHER!! All Venus signs are pretty in their own ways!! Just because someone has their Venus in Scorpio or Libra and you don't, that doesn't MAKE YOU less beautiful or less appreciated
Try to not always read negative things about your placements, yes is good sometimes to read about the dark side of some of your placements but if you constantly read negative things about your placements you can start to hate them because of the generalization in some aspects/placements in your natal chart based on some astrologers observations
Not every astrologer on this app is gonna describe placements or aspects in positive ways, for real some of them really just like to get into the dark or bad side from the start and you'll feel like your placements are bad and that is not good!! You can get depressed too just from the vibe of the post 😵
DON'T listen to generalizations!!! Some people may get hurt or jealous/envy whatever on some placements/aspects etc..and I don't see where this may come from because even if jealousy is a natural human feeling it still doesn't make sense because every chart is beautiful and amazing in their own ways! As I said some people may get hurt and start to generalize a single placement in that chart and from that thing, stereotypes rise up and bring confusion and negativity
Try to find people who you can share the same placements/aspects with, for example I'm lucky enough to have people in my life who happens to study/read about those natal charts and it happens for us to share the same placements in our birth charts and we start to talk about like the pro and contra on that specific placement and at the end of the day is just us trying to discover more about ourselves and liking that placement more and more
Be always open to hearing/reading new things about your placements, is that type of excitement who makes you happy to have that specific placement or aspect in your birth chart and you can feel happy at the end of the day, try and do it like me... I have Saturn in the 7th house in almost all my charts (not my natal chart one though) at first I thought is a bad placement but after I read more and more about it, it makes you to realize is not a bad placement at all and is just the generalization who made it to be in the way it is now in the media/online
Tumblr media
♥️ If you think or feel bad about your placements from reading some astro observations on this app, you can always search them on google/safari or whatever searching site you use, there are so many sites out there who talk about placements and aspects in the online!! Sometimes you need to be careful to not fell in a trap while reading about it ♥️
If you have read about the Sidereal or Vedic and even Draconic chart those can apply as well to this post !!
- If you have any thoughts or suggestions to add, feel free to write it in the comments and I will add them in this post ♥️♥️♥️ with all the love, bless you all ♥️
H a r m o o n i x ♥️♥️♥️♥️

            ㅤㅤ ㅤ THE CROW: ㅤ⸻ㅤ PANDORA's task 01.
in the valley of the dolls, we sleep. got a hole 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 of me... born with A VOID hard to destroy ʷ͟ⁱ͟ᵗ͟ʰ͟ ˡ͟ᵒ͟ᵛ͟ᵉ͟ ᵒ͟ʳ͟ ʰ͟ᵒ͟ᵖ͟ᵉ built with a 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕, broken from the start and now i die slow.
TIMELINE PASSADA

Cineva a spus despre Ponta că minte cum respiră.
"Live Q&A.

hi! could i request “searching for each other in a crowded rooms, finding each other everywhere” from the safe space prompt list! thank you <33
you got it!!! 🤭
The Enigmatic Smile
wc: 2.03k
In the bustling grand ballroom of the country club, a pattern of chatter and laughter fills the air as you stand by the grand windows overlooking the emerald tennis courts that stretch out like a lush carpet. You're dressed in your favorite ensemble of the evening, a blend of elegance and comfort that whispers of your unassuming charm. The room is a kaleidoscope of gowns and suits, a dance of colors that moves in rhythm with the soft jazz music playing in the background. The event is a prestigious charity gala, a gathering of the town's crème de la crème, and you're here, feeling a bit out of place, but eager nonetheless.
Your eyes scan the crowd, searching for Jack. You've heard so much about him, his swift moves on the court, the power behind his serve, and the grace of his backhand. You've seen his pictures in the papers, his greenish hazel eyes piercing the lens, a hint of a smile playing on his lips, as if he's sharing a secret with the world. But tonight, you're not looking for the tennis star; you're searching for the person behind the racket.
The room swirls around you, a whirlwind of socialites and patrons, all vying for the spotlight. The chandeliers cast a warm glow over the polished wood floor, reflecting the sparkle of crystal flutes filled with bubbling champagne. You feel a gentle nudge on your arm. You turn to see a figure, dressed in a sharp suit, with the same mischievous smile from the photographs.
"You look like a fish out of water," Jack says, his voice a smooth tenor that seems to resonate with the very air around you. You laugh, a little self-consciously, feeling the warmth of his gaze.
"And you look like you own the ocean," you reply, gesturing towards his confident stance. His smile widens, revealing dimples that you hadn't noticed in the photographs.
Jack takes a sip of his champagne, the bubbles fizzing against the side of the flute. "What brings you to this shindig?" he asks, his eyes never leaving yours.
You shrug, feeling a little shy. "A friend dragged me along. I'm not much of a social butterfly."
Jack's smile turns knowing. "Neither am I, if I'm being honest. The courts are my stage, not this circus." He gestures around the grand ballroom, the words "circus" rolling off his tongue with a playful lilt.
You find yourself drawn to him, his down-to-earth demeanor a refreshing change from the ostentatious atmosphere. "I'd say you're pretty good at playing the part," you observe, watching as he navigates the throng with ease, greeting familiar faces with the grace of a seasoned diplomat.
Jack chuckles, the sound warm and genuine. "It's all for show. I'd rather be playing a set than making small talk." His gaze drifts to the tennis courts outside, a wistful look in his eyes. "Do you play?"
"I can't say I've played too much," you admit, your cheeks flushing slightly at the thought of the last time you picked up a racquet. "But I enjoy watching the games, especially yours."
Jack's smile reaches his eyes, crinkling the corners. "You flatter me," he says, but you can see the pleased glint in his gaze. He leans in closer, the scent of his cologne, a blend of citrus and musk, mingling with the faint smell of the freshly cut grass from outside. "How about we sneak away from this circus for a bit?" he whispers, his breath tickling your ear.
Intrigued, you nod in agreement. He takes your hand, his touch firm yet gentle, and leads you through the maze of people, weaving in and out of conversations like a pro. The room is a symphony of sounds, from the clinking of silverware against fine china to the muffled thump of the tennis balls from the nearby courts. Each step feels like a dance, synchronized and thrilling, as you follow him.
Jack opens the French doors, and the cool evening air greets you with a kiss, a stark contrast to the warmth of the ballroom. The moon casts a silver glow on the grass, turning it into a midnight snack. You can see your breath in the crisp air, and the stars twinkle above like a thousand diamond studs in the velvet sky.
"This way," he says, leading you down a cobblestone path that winds around the clubhouse. The sound of your heels clicking against the stones echoes through the quiet night, punctuated by the occasional distant laugh from the party.
Jack stops at the edge of the courts, the moonlight casting long shadows across the freshly painted lines. He turns to face you, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Ever played under the stars?"
Your heart skips a beat. The idea is both exhilarating and a bit absurd, considering the formal attire you're both wearing. But Jack's enthusiasm is contagious, and you find yourself nodding. "Can't say I have," you admit, a smile playing on your lips.
Jack's eyes light up, and he leads you to the nearest court. He grabs a couple of racquets and a can of balls from a nearby cart, his movements swift and practiced. "Here," he says, handing you a racquet, "You'll need this."
You take it, feeling the weight of the grip in your hand, unfamiliar yet comforting. He opens the can of balls with a pop and sets them down on the ground, selecting one with a gentle bounce. "Ready?"
You nod, your heart thumping in anticipation. The cool metal of the racquet feels good against your skin, a reminder of the sport you used to love. "Let's do this," you murmur, your voice carrying the excitement of a child about to embark on a midnight adventure.
Jack serves the ball with surprising gentleness, considering his reputation for power on the court. It sails through the air, a silver orb in the moonlight, and you swing. The racquet meets the ball with a satisfying thwack, sending it back over the net. The sound echoes in the quiet night, a stark contrast to the muffled cacophony of the gala.
You watch as Jack sprints to the other side of the court, his movements a mesmerizing blur. He returns the ball with ease, his eyes never leaving yours. You laugh, feeling the thrill of the impromptu game. Your feet move instinctively, the years of watching tennis matches paying off as you return shot after shot.
Jack's smile is infectious, and his playful banter keeps you on your toes. Each volley is a silent conversation, a dance of anticipation and reaction. The cool grass feels surprisingly good underfoot, a stark contrast to the stiff soles of your shoes. The moon, a silent spectator, casts a soft glow on the both of you, making the scene feel like a surreal dream.
As you play, you realize that the tennis courts are more than just a place for games; they're a sanctuary for Jack, a place where he can be himself without the weight of his public persona. His strokes are still precise, but there's a freedom in them that you hadn't noticed before, a joy that seems to resonate in the quiet night.
You, on the other hand, are surprised by your own skill. The racquet feels like an extension of your arm, the ball a familiar friend that you're happy to see again. With each hit, you feel the tension of the evening melting away, replaced by a sense of camaraderie and excitement.
Jack notices the spark in your eyes and raises his game, challenging you with a series of shots that make you run across the court. You're not just keeping up; you're enjoying every minute of it, the thrill of the chase bringing out a competitive streak you didn't know you had.
As you play, the conversation flows easily between you, touching on your shared love for the sport and your individual journeys that led you to this moment. You learn about Jack's early mornings on the courts, the countless hours of training that shaped his body into the finely tuned machine it is today. You tell him about the times you've watched his matches from the sidelines, cheering him on even when you were the only one who knew his name.
The game intensifies, the ball a silent whisper of competition between you. You're not just playing tennis; you're connecting, finding common ground in a world that often feels too vast and unpredictable. You both push each other, each point a testament to your growing friendship.
Jack's eyes dance as he sets up for another serve, the moonlight catching the flecks of gold in his irises. "You're a natural," he says, his voice filled with admiration. "I could use a hitting partner like you."
You laugh, the sound carrying on the night breeze. "I doubt I could keep up with you in a real match," you admit, feeling a thrill at the compliment.
Jack winks. "You never know until you try," he says, serving another ball. This one is a little faster, a little more challenging. You manage to get your racquet to it, sending it back in a satisfying arc.
As the game progresses, you both start to relax, the tension of the evening dissipating with each exchange. The moon climbs higher in the sky, casting longer shadows that stretch and distort with every step you take. The night air is cool, but the exertion keeps you warm.
Jack serves again, and you notice the way his muscles tense before he hits the ball, the focus in his eyes as he watches it sail over the net. You return the serve, the racquet feeling lighter with each hit. The conversation continues, now peppered with the occasional grunt of effort and the rhythmic thwack of the ball.
"So, what do you do when you're not playing tennis?" you ask, panting slightly.
Jack catches the ball with his racquet, letting it rest for a moment. "Well, I'm actually quite the amateur chef," he reveals, a hint of pride in his voice. "There's something therapeutic about it, you know? Oh, and I'm trying to get into mixology too."
You laugh, surprised by his revelation. "Jack of all trades, huh?"
Jack chuckles, the sound as warm as the whiskey you've heard he enjoys. "More like Jack who enjoys dabbling," he corrects, his British accent a delightful reminder of his roots. He serves again, the ball a fiery comet in the moonlit night.
You manage to return it, the racquet feeling like it's come alive in your hand. "Mixology, huh?" You say, your curiosity piqued. "What's your signature drink?"
Jack grins. "It's a secret," he says, his eyes twinkling. "But I'll make it for you sometime, if you'd like."
You blush, surprised by the casual invitation. "I'd like that," you say, the words slipping out before you can think better of it.
Jack's smile broadens, his teeth a flash of white in the moonlight. "It's a date, then," he says, and you realize with a start that you actually would. The game resumes, the rhythm of the ball between you a silent conversation of its own.
The night wears on, and the party inside the clubhouse seems to fade away as the two of you become lost in the dance of the game. You're surprised by how comfortable you feel around him, how easily the conversation comes despite the chaos of the gala just a few feet away.
Jack serves again, and this time you see the challenge in his eyes. You know he's testing you, pushing you to reach for the stars. You dig deep, your body moving almost on instinct, and return the ball with a speed that surprises even yourself.
"Nice shot," he says, his voice a mix of surprise and admiration.
"Thanks," you reply, your breath misting in the cool night air.
Jack's eyes light up, the moon highlighting the gold in his irises. "Care for a little wager?"
You raise an eyebrow. "Wager?"
Jack nods, his smile turning mischievous. "If you win the next point, I'll make you my signature cocktail at our next meeting. If I win, you have to try my worst concoction, no questions asked."
You consider for a moment, your heart racing. "And what's in this infamous signature cocktail?"
Jack leans in, his smile enigmatic. "It's a secret," he whispers. "But I promise it's nothing you wouldn't enjoy."

Good Omens    *ੈ✩‧₊˚   Mature   ༊*·˚   Aziraphale/Crowley With Artwork, Canon Compliant, Mutual Pining, Banter, First Kiss, Too Much Groping, Slow Burn
Tumblr media
At the tail end of the 1700s, Aziraphale finds himself stuck in a small European country with an assignment to elevate its Emperor to sainthood. He’d rather see the man in a ditch than on iconography, but Gabriel loves humans who are basically him with a crown. Fortunately, Crowley soon appears as the Emperor’s tailor and distracts Aziraphale with presents (not courting!), outings (definitely not dates!), and a slew of new outfits for the angel (there’s a tape measure involved, so it’s okay if Crowley gets a bit handsy).
All in all, things are going splendidly – except Gabriel keeps popping in, Crowley can’t use miracles, and for some godforsaken reason, Aziraphale can’t see the Emperor’s new clothes that the rest of the court won’t shut up about.
Chapter 14 is out with the MOST amazing artwork that I would ever have asked for (it’s got suits, it’s got heartbreak, it’s got stained glass windows you guys!!!)

I won't lie, I am becoming increasingly tempted to create Courier in Fallout 76.
Pros: Landscape photography, additional opportunities for character development for her, I'd get to see the new updates, I don't have to focus on the storyline for achievement reasons because Trin's already bitten that bullet, the chance to interact with/meet people again (honestly the main thing I miss), despite her name being freaking Courier it wouldn't be any less canon to her actual storyline than New Vegas itself already is
Cons: It feels like such a direct betrayal of Trin that I can't gfdsf
Contra-pro: However, if that's the case, then the existence of Trin herself in 76 is a significantly more blatant and direct betrayal of Lara- my long-abandoned Actual 76 Dweller OC- to the extent that doing the same thing right back to her would feel like poetic justice for them
Courier herself has no strong opinion on the matter, and still just really wants to go to space (which she will, eventually, but there are several other games that I own but haven't yet touched on my to-do list before TOW, so for now she's staying stuck in the confines of the Fallout world in one form or another). Haven't consulted with Trin, but I... genuinely don't think she'd be too pissed all in all?

One of the weirdest things that people mythologize is Operation Condor. Like, the US did some fucked up things in South and Central America, this is undeniable. But Operation Condor was not a US plan. It was Augusto Pinochet's plan, and the US (and possibly France) said "yeah you know what, sure, we know what you're doing, but we'll let you. In fact, we'll let you keep using our networks in panama for whatever you want (even if that's murdering suspected dissidents), and we'll continue to help you train your troops (who we know you intend to use against your own citizens later)". But the plan was very much not a US plan, and everyone who was actually carrying out the things were doing so under local people's orders, it was just US policy to look the other way and whistle inconspicuously while continuing to provide aid.
Further, the Allende Coup in Chile wasn't US-conducted either, it was the far less interesting "we really don't like or trust Allende, so we've been sanctioning Chile about it and talking about how much Chile sucks now to Chileans, and we've thought about coordinating a coup, but then we found out the army was already planning one, so we're just not going to tell Allende that a coup's coming and we're not going to complain if one happens. They (the coup plotters) actually called us and said 'hey want to support our coup it would be super cool' and we said 'well we're not going to give you support, but we're not going to say definitely don't do it' so we'll just see how this plays out."
There are coups that very directly were done by the US. Iran, for instance, had an explicitly US and UK supported coup in 1953, Guatemala had PBSuccess in 1954 (That's the one that United Fruit set off, back when they still could overthrow governments because they had explicit support from their parent country) attempted and failed in Syria in 1956, tried in Indonesia from 1957-59 but got nowhere, and of course tried and failed in Cuba. They later became aware of a coup plot in Brazil and while they didn't actively cause the coup, they provided military support when the Brazilian army called for help after it faltered during the execution. The same happened in Bolivia in 1971. They actually concretely supported and encouraged a coup in Chad in 1982. There was of course the Iran-Contra affair in the 80s, and invaded Grenada after a pro-communist coup in 1983. It's not a short list by any means, but it notably doesn't include a lot of places the US has been accused of doing coups in.
That's about the limits of since declassified documents and publicly available information, but it seems the US actually chilled out a lot after the cold war. There were allegations of involvement in the Hatian '91 coup, but those don't seem to be true because the US helped re-install the president who got coup'd in the first place, which wouldn't be the actions of someone who wanted the government overthrown. (Of course it's possible George HW Bush did it on a whim, lost the election, and then Clinton hurriedly had to clean up that mess, but that seems unlikely)
Interestingly, nearly all of these operations that involved concrete support were conducted under Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford and Reagan. (Barring some of the Cuba ones under Kennedy, who was an obnoxious vaguely-authoritarian populist who was completely spineless whenever he was asked to make a decision that might hurt his domestic popularity, who managed to get lucky enough to be martyred before his terrible ideas could actually start staining his reputation. Then again, the alternative to him was Nixon, so maybe we dodged a bullet. Kennedy certainly didn't, which was probably for the best.) So this actually means there's been an apparently concrete foreign policy difference between Democrats and Republicans for longer than the Republicans have been courting fascists domestically.
But the point is, saying "Operation Condor was the US's fault alone" is a bizarre thing to say that attributes a lot of power to the US that it never really had, and still doesn't have today. It creates the illusion that US foreign policy is both reasonably consistent, even during cold war times, and the illusion that the Regime Change Through Coups policy is actually particularly effective, when the record shows it seems to fail pretty often. Further, while post-coup governments were pretty much uniformly worse and tended to kill a lot of people, and US collaboration with or tacit support of that is something that should be condemned, the fact is, attributing all coups solely to the US ignores how hard the prior governments tended to alienate their own armed forces and the population more generally by being variously ineffective and incompetent. It also mythologizes the CIA as a consistently effective organization that's both incredibly subtle and very powerful, when in practice it has a very hit-and-miss record with actually serving US interests, much less achieving its own objectives.
