Restraint is desperately wanting to talk about all the engineering and infrastructure fuckery people have done all over the place over the years to manage the flow of water and build livable urban spaces, but not dumping thousands of words of this nonsense on readers.

Definitely. I may be indifferent to shipping and while moralisation of the most random things and opinions has always existed in fandom it has seemingly gotten SO much worse. Like for everyone who hates x reader stuff, they feel the need to claim it's because it is somehow selfish or harmful to fantasize about personally interacting with a fictional character (I only agree when it explicitly goes against the identity of a minority group that so strongly claims a character almost as an extension of their community - that playing around with that character is considered an infraction towards them as a whole. Alla. The sexualisation of canon ace characters, such as Alastor. When they are not strongly claimed by a community though, frankly all bets are off and does not actually harm anyone but the few who feel entitled to dictate ownership of a character) - rather than just accepting that it's ok to simply not like them and they feel that it's too much effort to just ignore them when x reader fics crop up on their dashboard.

i feel like nobody has NOTPs anymore. like if you hate a ship now it has to be for some deep moral reason and you have to justify it to everyone what happened to just not liking stuff that isnt inherently bad but just because you personally think it sucks
