One of my favorite and most ironic thing i learn from the Astrea family is that the living legend of the family as well as the world Reid Astrea, despite being their ancestor, doesn’t have spouses or descendants. The one that continue the bloodline was Toska, which he has aboslutely no idea that glorious asshole was his brother. And Divine Protection Of the Sword Saint didnt exist before the eventually passing of Reid. Meaning Reid’s power and notoriety is so widespread and broken af that Od Lagna deadass ‘blessed’ the entire lineage of the Astrea of what could be the equivalent of ‘the power your deadbeat drunk uncle who come around 2 christmas to deliver one of the most offensive shit coming from his mouth’ so that the world could have another ‘Reid Astrea’

Earth 2 KRS dies (?) AU

Thinking of an AU where in Earth 2, instead of Kim Roksoo being the only survivor after the unranked monster attack, everyone else except him does. I'm pretty sure a bunch of people already came up with this somewhere but it's so. tragic. so i'm gonna ramble about it as one does.

He saw the records. His world may be better off than the other earth he saw in Cale's memories, but that doesn't mean they're invincible. he pictures that record over and over again, memorizing the movements of the monster and the exact moment his team members were struck and how he could prevent it. He prepared every possible measure, from the best ability users that could go at the forefront, any kind of special material they could use in order to defend against the monster's special features, scheduled evacuations, everything. Everyone believes him, of course, because he's the prophet that could tell the future. ("I have faith!")

But then on the fated day, something goes wrong. One thing that was off the mark. Just one strike that started too soon, the timing of an attack that was off, anything. But now the monster, as a last ditch strike before it dies, was about to hit Choi Jungsoo like in his record, and he's not about to let that happen. He lifts his metal shield and takes the hit.

He thinks, no, he's pretty sure he's going to die. The gash was deep, and he can hear the horrified yelling from around him. Lee Soohyuk and Choi Jungsoo were holding onto him tightly and he was about to blackout when something weird happens, but it was too late for him to tell.

Miraculously, he woke up.

...Inside of an unfamiliar room.

"He just popped out of nowhere! From the sky!" Was that a 5 year old??

"Shh, we shouldn't be too loud, he's asleep, so we might disrupt him." A voice that sounded... kind of Korean? A 17-year-old kid? Who's house was this-

He winced as he got up , realizing the bandages he was wrapped in. The two figures tense up and whip their head around, the human of the two hopping to his fee- is that dragon!?

"You!" the little 5-year old dragon exclaimed as Kim Roksoo immediately sat up and moved back against the wall, cautious. "You're the weird human who looks like Choi Han that fell from the sky! Who are you?"

He blinked. What the- "Choi Han...?"

He raised his brow. "Are you Korean?" he seemed concerned. "Did you also suddenly get dropped here?"

"What-" Kim Roksoo froze. Hasn't he... seen this little black dragon somewhere before?

"Well, listen up, weird human. We saved you, so it's time to pay for your meals!" he puffed his chest as he flew closer to him, with Choi Han hovering behind him in slight concern. "I am the great and might 4-year-old dragon, Dodam Miru!"

Kim Roksoo was suddenly overcome with the urge to cuss out a certain god.

In another world, Choi Jungsoo and Lee Soohyuk are out for blood and are trying every possible demon-summoning method in the book and cussing at the sky until GoD appears so Choi Jungsoo can beat him with a broomstick and Lee Soohyuk can scam him into a deal that sends them to Nameless 2 immediately. Because by god if they leave him unsupervised for a day he will start world war or sacrifice himself to the nearest cause in no time flat

I am so in love with the shoe drop in Aeor. I love how it's history echoing itself once more, wizard hubris and power trying to take out the Betrayers in an attempt to both help and stand equal to the Prime Deities. I love how, like the first time, an entire city is doomed because of well intentioned arrogance leading to destruction.

But what I really love is how this humanizes the gods in an interesting way. Think about it like this: you have siblings that you love, but you don't like all that much. You've gone through something horrible together, tried to rebuild, had an argument that basically destroyed your relationship where both side thinks they're in the right. You don't talk for years and years and every time you do the hurt just gets worse.

By all accounts you should let them go, write them off, but even at their worst, you can't stop loving them... and even in their hatred, there's a part of them that still loves you.

And now somebody comes along with a solution to your argument: just take the other side out of the equation permanently! And it seems so simple...but you can't do it. And you can't let somebody else do it either.

And think about how wizard hubris works. The Betrayers are gone now, but how long until the sides of Aeor that think there should be no gods win out and make moves against the Prime again? How long until those fail-safes don't matter? What is the life of a city when faced with the rest of the world? Or with your family?

Ludinus is hoping that by showing this, the gods will be painted in a way that makes it look as though every time, their creations come second. But I think that, while I can certainly see his argument, it falls flat, because at the heart of this whole deal is a group of very flawed, very powerful, very human people. Who removed themselves from the equation because they ultimately saw their presence doing more harm than good, not because they don't care, because they care too much about two equally opposed things.

In particular, I wonder how Imogen, with her complicated relationship with Liliana, will respond to all of this.

I think this will gives the Hells pause, but I don't think Ludinus is winning any more allies.

New doll? New doll!

This is Aurelia, a porcelain BJD by Adollable Dolls out of South Africa. Her official artist name is Faylynn, but I wasn't a fan of that

She came in this lovely box:

Silver hair ornament with a little clip so she or I can wear it, and a box of Lindt truffles that unfortunately got squished in transit

She's a lovely doll overall; I've had some porcelain BJD disappointment in the past, so I was pleasantly surprised to open her and not feel that (two of the three I had previously owned ended up disappointing me). There are a few flies in the ointment, however.

The Good: gorgeous doll, good quality porcelain, very well done painting, little molded rings, posing is decent, spring jointed (which I prefer to elastic because it doesn't wear out), painted pubic hair- don't let unrealistic beauty standards get to you!, very soft and well constructed wig, pierced ears and earrings, nice packaging, came with a pretty stand that has a little silver feet

The Bad: weirdly small and narrow feet for the size and proportions of the doll; definitely cannot stand on her own, eyes are ever so slightly unfocused, artist sprayed a very strong perfume inside the box, does take a bit of finagling to pose even though she gets there in the end

(also I dropped one of her earrings on my carpet and now I can't find it, which is not the fault of the artist and has me kicking myself because they are very cute little gold leaves)

Overall, I would recommend this artist for the most part. Just be aware of the tiny feet thing, and maybe ask her if she can not spray perfume on the package if you have any kind of sensitivities or just generally don't want that

But bliss Zero au but…that’s not actually Zero but instead is a part of the mother elf that didn’t get corrupted by Weil and was sealed in Zero’s body to protect her from Weil’s influence.

So when Ciel brought Zero back it wasn’t the Zero that she was hoped it was Mother elf who had to PRETEND to be Zero for her sake. Over the course of the story Ciel starts ti notice the inconsistencies between the Zero that she heard of and the “Zero” that’s been working with the resistance…

Learning that that ISNT Zero and the Mother Elf is just trying her best but isn’t a lil bit afraid to be mischievous.

ahh I've been wanting your skirts for awhile now, and I have no idea how I missed it, but I just found out you have a Canadian store!! Just took advantage of the sale!! I hope you figure out your shitty situation (ha) <3

thank you!!! the immediate remediation (getting the actual plumbing issue sorted) and mitigation (cleaning up all the literal shit) have been finished, but in the process they had to remove some of our kitchen floor and various trims (both wall and door) and parts of our bathroom walls and the carpet on our basement stairs and stuff like that, so from here on out it's just fighting with insurance to see what they will and won't cover for reconstruction.

basically the only good thing about having the backup involve poop is that aside from our deductible, which is still $2500, most things should be covered. supposedly because they had to remove part of our laminate kitchen floor and that floor is contiguous throughout most of the first floor of the house, they're gonna have to replace all that flooring, but we're gonna see if we can maybe get them to cover JUST replacing the kitchen floor with tile which would actually be properly waterproof in the off chance that something similar to this happens again.
