fifteen men on a dead man's chest, it's time for: pirates!

there's an idea here, and the idea is slowly turning into a story, and in march I've got some one shot comics about pirates I want to post! ideally, in march. hopefully in march. there's a lot of stuff to figure out, drawing wise. I spent an amount of time I won't mention researching the history of leg prosthetics & vintage leg prosthetic designs for basilica, and I haven't even figured out tall ships. which is. well. it's pirates, what are pirates without tall ships

#i also want. to better convey some kind of nc wyeth color scheme/vibe with this one i think.#there's also a cohesive story to figure out. ive been fucking around with these characters (generic) for a few years but my god is it an #ordeal. mostly bc its like. the stuff i would normally write about is what black sails did and i'd rather re watch black sails than attempt #a less interesting version of it. like that would be boring for me personally to do #so instead im going for more of a 'well whats some weird fucked up shit i can pull off here' vibe #which is going much better. we already got a priest getting sexually fixated on a corpse in the plot rotation #ANYWAY before that there's definitely going to be some prototype art. new jacob geller video essay dropped and oughhhh prototype....#much to think about.....much to rotate around in my head..........visuals to consider..........#original tag

GPTim having both visual and hearing disabilities is so important to me. That man’s eyes were *burned out* when he *exploded the moon* his hearing is gonna be affected also; and having functional accessibility aids (his mechanical eyes, here) does not equal not disabled, it just means that the disability manifests differently.

#its definitely not just important to me because of projecting. not at all #the mechanisms #gunpowder tim #migraines and photophobia seems to be p common hcs for him. but under the belief that his eyes function *better* than organic eyes.-#he likely struggles to process visual information. his orhanic brain wasnt made for that input. especially with the belief that his eyes-#were originally made for brian who has a mechanical brain #tangentially. do you think his an brians eyes were made without a blind spot?#often its thought that tims eyes are newer and more advanced than brians. but what if theyre an old pair. old prototype or something #or what if they are newer but he would function *better* if they just. like. switched. for information overload reasons #i have so many thoughts about their eyes now.#also. like. we 100% have seen that mechanical eyes which have been abandoned by their creator does not turn out well for the user #*glares at real world events*

#fj.txt #honestly i expected the next fandom i fell into would be isat #but apparently my brain went hmm. fishies. alien worldbuilding time #so now i have a ~4k dump doc of worldbuilding headcanons about outer wilds #owi #have i played it? no lol #i have no real way of doing so any time soon #which is. to be fair. the status quo for me re: most video games #so it has not stopped me lol #playing the old text adventure prototype was fun at least!#it's kinda fascinating seeing how much of the final game was already there in bare bones form #the feel of it reminded me a lot of 'a dark room' with the minimal visuals and overall vibes #even having been loosely spoiled on the endgame and general puzzle concepts it still took a while to work stuff out #(i spent like four consecutive loops trying to figure out how to land on the moon lmao)#(and a bunch more trying and failing the actual endgame before i realized i had misunderstood some flavor text about where something was)#still managed to get chills from the ending #which i think speaks a lot to how good that concept was tbh
