I love playing Qliphorts in Duel Links PVP. It's not anywhere near meta so no one is used to seeing it, and it trips people up. Nope, sorry, your monster's effect won't work because it's a lower level than mine. Can't activate your monster's effect or trap card when I send it back with Qliphort Stealth, either. I run Necrovalley with the deck too, and you'd be surprised how many people still try pulling monsters out of the graveyard with it on the field.

It's almost comically frustrating how Konami just casually throws in connections between the various big lore archetypes; we had Duel Terminal connected to the more "generic" (read: massively convoluted and interconnected series of seemingly unrelated monsters that explicitly contains dimension hopping shenanigans) card pool via the Charmers, Dracoslayer connected to Duel Terminal via Zefra Metaltron (who still has yet to actually be explained in a Master Guide or Valuable Book!), we have World Legacy almost definitely connected to Duel Terminal because Avida and the World Gears take so many visual cues (and naming conventions if you dig deep enough) from the Qliphorts and Sophia/Tierra, and now they're just casually calling Albaz and Aluber's power "Dragon Alchemy", something that - assuming that translation is entirely intentional - ties The Abyss lore directly with Dracoslayer, and all the connections that entails. Yu-Gi-Oh card lore is fuckin wild.

For Tribute Summon related cards, Qliphorts might get new support, but most likely this will be in a future main set, and not Terminal World 3.

For GX era Series, Majestic Mechs have the best chance of becoming a proper theme, since Majestic Mech - Goryu has Tribute Summon related effect.

True King and True Dracos also have Tribute Summon related effects, but due to their effect of Tributing Continuous Spell/Traps, they might wait for April 2026, or slightly before that, if we going to get a Summoning method that uses Spell/Traps as materials.

We've finally got reveals for the new Terminal World set in the OCG! The set's reprinting four themes from the Duel Terminal saga and we've got new cards for two of those themes!

Ice Barriers have a crazy new Synchro that can bring out any Ice Barrier from pretty much anywhere (Extra Deck included) on a twice-per-turn once-per-chain Quick Effect.

Infernoids have two new Extra Deck monsters, one of which has some very strong mill potential for the Deck to turbo your 'noids into the GY.

This graphic is making some guesses since we know a bunch of reprints that were announced, but not the actual set codes for those reprints (as far as I know). For the time being I'm simply color-coding the space after the new cards since new cards tend to lead distinct sections and I figure the old cards would be right after them.

We've got two more themes to see support for, and if I had to wager I'd say Qliphorts are a strong option. After that? Most likely one of the WIND archetypes like Gusto or Ritual Beasts.

yay yugioh :D btw there's a type of summoning called xyz summon where you use the specified materials on the card in your extra deck to summon it, but instead of the sacrificed cards going to the graveyard like with other summons, you attach those cards to the summoned card as material. xyz monsters typically have effects that are activated by detaching those material, which sends the detached cards to the graveyard. for example, in my beloved blue-eyes white boy deck, i have in my extra deck number 97: draglubion, which is summoned with 2 level 8 monsters and has the following effects: "Your opponent cannot target this card with card effects. You can detach 1 material from this card; take 2 Dragon "Number" monsters with different names from your Extra Deck and/or GY, except "Number 97: Draglubion", Special Summon 1 of them and attach the other to it as material, also for the rest of this turn you cannot Special Summon other monsters, or declare an attack, except with that Special Summoned monster. You can only use this effect of "Number 97: Draglubion" once per turn." or my beloved number 38: hope harbinger dragon titanic galaxy, which has the effects, "Once per turn, when a Spell Card or effect is activated on the field (Quick Effect): You can negate that effect, and if you do, attach that card to this card as material. When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You car detach 1 material from this card; change the attack target to this card and perform damage calculation. If another face-up Xyz Monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can target 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control; it gains ATK equal to 1 of those destroyed monster's original ATK." i love yugioh because of how simultaneously complicated and straightforward it is. also the dragons. (waving a pocket watch in front of your face) ooo you wanna play yugioh soooo bad.

i love xyz summons. they're not as picky as synchro or fusion monsters and you don't have to believe in the heart of the cards like you do with ritual summons. I do also deeply respect and admire the strategy of Big Ass Tribute even though I suck at it LOL

My favorite deck so far is Qliphort. It's as simple as a pendulum deck can get (the cards even have room for *GASP* flavor text!!! unthinkable.) BUT it does have one major drawback which is that it renders the extra deck completely worthless. World Chalice is also pretty chill but it's got that Beginner Friendly :) vibe that I'm trying to get away from.

OH AND KARAKURI!!! karakuri is so much fun. it's like a fidget spinner deck. i just wish it had better damage options but oh well
