What is it that makes some of us

unable to sit still to always

want to be somewhere else

to seek new experiences

to reach for skies unknown?

What is the thing inside of us

that makes us dream of

leaving while already journeying

from one place to the next

from one person to the next?

What does this curse of being

a restless soul really mean?

Can we ever find real joy in this?

Is it actually the journey that counts?

I have traveled a lot but yet what

really comes back to mind

from all those escapades every

time I sit down and relax for a bit

are the simple little moments.

A conversation late at night

around a fire the story told and

the tears shed and the inspiration

that came out of it.

A humid night outside a bodega

drinking rum with people unknown

and sharing stories about lives so

different that seemed unreal.

All night drinking parties that

ended with breakfast the madness

of living the moment and no more.

Sitting on the balcony and she

playing the guitar and singing

Desperado to me as goodbye.

A cold night on a motorbike

going up the mountains to

frieze the hurt of a break up

and start life anew.

Those moments simple as they were

made me who I am today or

rather showed me who I always

was someone who only lived when on

the move and/or on the verge of leaving.

Is this really a curse for me?

I'd say that this rather is my blessing

since I've gained more than I lost

on my long journey towards today.

Okkkkkk tonight I'm gonna have pasta and garlic bread for dinner! I'm so excited I haven't had Italian in forever, maybe I'll have ice cream after. Probably not. I'm gonna see if I can have enough time to go to hobby lobby! Today has been great. Also I figured out why my legs hurt. I sleep with my legs bent at a weird angle, so tonight I am gonna try to tie my legs together with a sock because apparently that fixes restless leg syndrome so we'll see.
