OK this is one I've gotta explain...Basically in my AU verse magic has been gone/hidden from the world for a long time now. But it has recently resurged so someone needs to do the work of documenting it. Enter Randus!!! Down-on-his-luck and money writer...

He starts documenting magic, the old and new writings, becoming an archivist. His work remains underfunded for a long time, but things slowly develop as he gathers a team...

Even his own magic, so amateur that he called it "bad luck magic" begins to flourish. He still keeps the "bad luck" cat he'd found as a stray though, he named her Lady Macbeth.

A couple weeks ago I was practicing my owl calls on a night hike and I successfully called in a barred owl. My owl call is pretty good, but I've never called an owl to me from afar because I rarely do night hikes and so I don't get much chance to. I had expected to be really excited about this, especially since two of my coworkers are really skilled at owl calls and they don't usually get a response, much less a full conversation, but instead I felt so guilty. I eventually had to start ignoring this poor deceived owl that was following my call through the park. I felt like I catfished him.

Thinking how Gortash just. Does not care if Durge worships Bhaal or not.

Like yeah when you first talk to him he’s pretty insistent that Durge go reclaim their rightful place as Bhaal’s Chosen, but to his knowledge they will literally die if they deny Bhaal (he’s already lost them once, twice isn’t an option)

But if Durge comes back to him and says that they’re not longer Bhaal’s, he’s shocked- and then immediately happy for them. He says “Good.” He says that no one will ever control them again, that they’re free to rule the world by his side as equals

Update: I'm at 2.2k ish words and it's slowly getting there!!! I think I'll be able to finish it tomorrow (I'm currently on my way home from the trip, literally typing this as I ride the bus home lol)

I really want to make this long and enjoyable so, I'll probably post it tomorrow or Sunday at the latest! But I'm hoping for tomorrow lol

Anyway, my trip was great if anyone's curious shsksj the mountains were so beautiful and we hiked for 8 hours like on the second day (twas a 4-day trip), and my legs hurt. But I thought it'd be worse, but it wasn't sjsksjsk

On the first day we visited Wrocław (I've been there 3 times now) and then we went on a nature walk in the evening around the town we had our hotel in.

On the third day (yesterday), we went to the bordering country, the Czech Republic, and we visited Liberec and Harakov(?) I don't remember the name. But the waterfalls were pretty there and so were the views! The mountains we hiked had pretty views too 😁

And lastly today, we went to Wrocław's zoo which is HUGE, and there were so many animals. I was most excited to see the terrarium where the snakes were (I'm a huge snake fan, I love the danger noodles)

Okay so i wanted to add my own 2 cents to this. This is all /gen and /lh dw, i dont mean to be rude here at all. Just a perspective thing.

1) idk why he’d tell a bunch of kids he’d banished his brother. Seems weirdly personal. Especially considering it was an accident (if you rewatch, his gi had symbols that opened that portal and he tried to save his brother) and idk how thats relevant tbh

2) what happened to morro kind of says why he didnt tell the ninja about it. Its further proved by how Kai reacted to knowing. This ones justified honestly

3) idk if he knew the overlord existed until the prophecy. Seems more like something his father hid. If he did know, i doubt he knew much. You Prove me wrong here tbh i’m not fully sure.

4) i doubt he hid that the serpentine exist. Its part of history. It happened 40 yrs ago. The ninja were out there thinking they were myths when they weren’t in the beginning of the show.

5) tbh, unpopular opinion. aspheera is biased. She calls Wu a traitor despite the fact she was a traitor too. How you gonna promise your friend not to use Spinjitzu for evil but then use it to overthrow King Mambo? Girl was the traitor first. Wu reacted by warning the king and then the king punished her. Justifiable honestly. Also he was a kid, i dont expect him to chose the best route here.

6) him not telling nya was wrong. But i also think this is a case of Ninjago not planning ahead because writers assumed it’d be short.

7) yknow, i always wondered how the ninjas didnt find out sooner about other elemental masters. Couldnt they do an online search? Or just a search in general? I mean in later seasons, they found things out from books and things. Im kinda wondering how they didnt stumble across said books earlier.

8) he never told the ninja about the never realm because he was gonna sacrifice himself wasnt he? I thought he kept it from them because he didnt want them to worry about what he was gonna do. That didnt work out though.

9) not telling them about Morro is justified. I mean as far as he was concerned Morro was his dead former student. Hes not omniscient. Hes not gonna know Morro was a vengeful ghost. And when he caught wind of it, he told them immediately. This seems personal. He cant just go telling them about Morro in season 1. Again (like the banishing garmadon thing) its kinda personal?

10) i assume he was gonna fight the time twins alone because he didnt want the ninja to fight his battles. This also didnt work out.

11) idk why he’d tell them about his rapid aging? Again this seems personal and has no relevance. Why do they need to know beforehand?

12) him not knowing where the dragons armour was, was when he was in his teen form right?

13) the merge. Where was it said he knew that was possible /gen? (Curious about this one honestly!)

14) idk if he knew the overlord could return until it happened

15) Wu not saying anything about the heritage is messed up. But i also wonder why sensei garmadon and why his mother never told him. Why is it only his uncle to blame?

Garmadon and Misako are the only ones who can call out Wu's BS because he's always been like this.

Yes, I just finished Possession and Morro is another example of Wu not telling his students everything they should know! ARE THERE ANY OTHER SECRETS YOU HIDING OLD MAN??

Just a funny sketch I did in between work. While Lloyd has magically aged up, he still has some of his immature nature and has yet to grow out of his "ew my parents' open affectionate display". Though to be honest, it is more canon that he wouldn't really care and be more pleased to see them showing love for each other. Especially, growing up without them and his family in constant turmoil.

1. Who realised first that this strictly business relationship stopped being so strict and solely about business?

It most likely occurred to Vat’il first, he’s a lot more conscious of his relationships with people.

He probably didn’t talk to Gortash for at least a week or two the first time he realized he wanted to kill him but didn’t want him to die. (Wouldn’t be surprised if Gortash connected the dots after that via realizing he maybe just a little bit missed committing crimes with Vat)

3. What did Durge think of the little wannabe Tyrant at the beginning? Someone competent or someone who tries really quite hard?

I talked about this in another ask, but I figured it could be fun to ramble about it some more

A lot of Vat’il’s respect for Gortash stems from how smart he is (also his combat capabilities- he quite enjoys how cut throat he can be)

They both essentially looked at their first heist as a test of general skills and aptitude for the other- which they caught onto when they realized they were both watching each other more than focusing on what was happening around them
