Man oh man I love rewriting scenes that drastically change Octavian's relationships with other characters. Drawing specifically taking place of a rewrite of where Jason and Octavian we're close friends/mayhaps more. Nothing more, Hazel still hates him and thinks that he's intentionally keeping information about his whereabouts. When that couldn't be further from the truth. He can't get an answer from the Gods. Nor can he magically summon knowledge if he so wants. And it's so frustrating, desperately looking for eight months straight, just to be continuously accused of something you wouldn't have the thought of doing.

He wants Jason back too. Can't she realize that?

that moment in Lost Hero where Jason starts spouting his entire monster-slaying résumé (child of Jupiter, praetor of the Twelfth Legion, slayed the Trojan sea monster, destroyed the throne of Kronos, etc.), he notices that he's reciting this list "like he'd said them many times before" even though at this point in the story even he doesn't entirely know what these deeds and titles mean

so now I'm wondering

was it like a thing for Roman demigods to announce themselves to monsters this way, as a show of intimidation?? or was there some aspect of life in New Rome that required officers to declare their ranks?? I mean, I can imagine legion meetings where Reyna and Jason (and Octavian and the centurions I guess) pull rank to speak before the camp or something

or is this just like. a habit from arguing with Octavian. Bc I love the idea of Jason asserting Blond Boy Dominance over Octavian by just rattling off all his Great Roman Accomplishments in his face because what has Octavian ever done, stabbed teddy bears?

I want a book series from Camp Jupiter’s perspective of the Second Titan war.

I want Octavian to have a reverse redemption arc, where we watch him slowly break under the pressure of his family, legacy, expectations, jealousy, and ego

I want Jason to have his personality trained out of him as he becomes the perfect soldier and leader.

I want Reyna to arrive at camp, scared, angry, confused, and defenseless. I want to read as she overcomes and learns to fight, not because she wants to but because she has to.

I want to get attached to characters from HOO and TOA that didn’t get much page time, even if I know they die.

I want to get to know Camp Jupiter like I got to know Camp Half Blood
