flowers, soft beneath my heels (Finrod x Adar, also Mairon is here whoops - very much inspired by @themalhambird 's reunion piece)

A golden sun, dangling on a braided chain of silver. It is small and light, tucked away beneath layers of armour, kept close to his skin. Hidden. Safe.

He does not know its maker, nor how long it has been his. That knowledge is long since out of reach. But if he tries, if he lets his mind drift far enough -

That smile, bright and shining as they cross the meadow, flowers at their feet. He is pulled to the ground, and he laughs, and the world around him glows.

"A gift," that voice, like river-song, "for the both of us."

He blinks up at that smile, at hair alight with sunshine, and pretends to frown.

That smile becomes a laugh. "Small, I promise. Just trinkets - so I may keep you close to me."

A hand takes his, and then the sun rests in his palm. It is small, and perfect. He holds it so very tight.

"And your gift?"

"I am already wearing it." The tunic is tugged down, and there against skin lies a silver crescent moon. "Do you approve?"

He has not the words to answer, and so he pulls them back down among the flowers instead.

He remembers how he clutched at it, curled in the mud, red blood dripping from the binds at his wrists. Remembers panic, his body dragged across the dirt, broken fingers shoving the chain back under his clothes. He remembers tear-tracks drying on his cheeks, the world jagged and cold and so dark atop that cliff-face -

He remembers light. Fingers brushing back his hair, tilting his chin up. Eyes that burned and yet gave no warmth boring into his.

The fingers trail down his neck and snag on the chain.

"And what is this? A keepsake?"

He swallows. His voice comes cracked and raw. "A gift."

Mairon leans close, a mockery of gentleness. "And who gave it to you?"

It has been so long. He has not dared speak the name aloud. For a time, he had clung to his memories so desperately. But every day the darkness in him grew stronger, and every day he felt them slipping further from his grasp.

The name is already so close to fading.

But if Mairon knew -

He cannot know.

There is no other choice. This weakness would be his undoing, of that he has no doubt. Better the memory be lost, the wisps of it scattered to the wind, than to have it twisted against him.

Broken and bound against the stone, he lets the memory fade.

"I do not know," he whispers, and the words hold no lie.

Mairon smiles. "What a pity."

He is allowed to keep it. He does not understand why, and it unnerves him deeply.

He does not take it off, even so.

Homosexuality hate, even though he performed with Elton John he was his best PR , if you want to come for Eminem like Machine Gun Kelly, you ain’t gonna win boy you’re always be a Stan.

Eminem was so influential to ask Millennials. We were raised on him, so many young lads bleached their hair because of Eminem. This is the thing with music, whatever genre you support or whatever it’s any type of different genres you’re gonna wear the attire of that genre because that is what you were support, and it’s also also built into you that that is who you are as a person that is your morals, that who who you are and shim, slim shady, I’m gonna post pictures of all the people he has come for in this songs, mainly his ex-wife His mother, Debbie, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Marilyn Manson, Machine Gun Kelly, Will Smith, Chris Hatrick, Fred Durst Carson Daly. He is just a libra to another extreme. He’s a Sagittarius rising with an Aquarius moon and a libra, son Mars in libra , and a Venus in Virgo .
