it's wild to think of how pretty much all my favorite kyman writers / artists / etc. either got their brains broken by antis, other parts of the fandom, or non-southpark internet in general for refusing to conform or limit the definitions of kyle and cartman's relationship

i was always here, y'know.

and i never could be limited to one ship or dynamic or kin or au or genre.

and for those whom i thought were on the right track and clearly had some profound transformative works to produce, i gently nudged them whenever the screamers and whiners and thumb twiddlers were confusing them too much.

but i was wounded, too. i was scarred, too. none of y'all know where i've been on the internet or irl, or what i've been forced to endure.

i was always in some form of kayfabe. anyone who got too close to me or too dependent on my feedback - i was obligated to burn or banish.

it was the only way i could retreat and lick my wounds.

i used to have an about page on this blog that detailed all my favorite episodes in the show in several tiers with impeccable reasoning for each one.

who the fuck knows who actually read that. then the fandom got TOO whiny, even for me; too spiteful.

so i gradually retreated: first in my engagement with south park official media in general, then the critical reception, then the fandom reception, then even my own reception of it.

i started hiding and covering my tracks. those who recognize me from me commenting on ao3 fics of theirs or bookmarking them with tags/comments — y'all always knew.

i had shit to create too. just not in this fandom yet... because even for south park fans, i was too profane then.

so i went somewhere else. and i kept doing that.

no more strategic retreat from me. i have a sprawling catalogue of sp fic ideas and a complex breadcrumb trail of careful observation + criticism anywhere south park's existence is acknowledged on the internet.

i do not cancel. i only step away when people are being way too fucking stupid even for me to tolerate.

my main blog is @moetxt and you can find more breadcrumbs and more trails over there. whatever.

i don't forgive or forget. i'm just here. just some guy. i make shit. idgaf what you think of it b/c someone else less stupid than you already understands.
