All four villains: *thinking* 'And he's humble too!'

Aizawa: "So you mean to tell me he's been missing for FIVE HOURS!?"

Katsuki: *frustrated sigh* Yeah"

Aizawa: *insert groan of dissapointed and frustration*

Aizawa's phone: *rings*

Aizawa: "What!?"

Villain 1: "Um, is this Erasurehead?"

Aizawa: "Yes, what do want? I'm in the middle of important business!"

Villain 1: "Well, you see, we have one of your students, Midoriya, and we want to know where we should drop him off at?"

Aizawa: "...."

Aizawa: "What do mean 'drop him off at'"?

Villain 1: Well, he kind of gave us a talk about how we don't need to be villains and now we all feel bad about the stuff we did and want to give him back to you"

Aizawa: *sighs tiredly while dragging his hand down his face*

Aizawa: "Meet me at the abandoned choclate factory over on 15th street"

Villain 1: "Okay! Yeah, we can do that and I just want to say how sorry we are for kidnapping him! We're fully expecting to be arrested when we get there, so don't worry about us putting up a fight"

Aizawa: *sighs tiredly and hangs up*

Katsuki who listened to the whole conversation on speaker phone: "So he did it again?"

Aizawa: "Yup."

Katsuki: "And now you have to call the police and do more paperwork than you want to?"

Aizawa: "Yup."

Katsuki: "Want me to go with you to pick him up or..."

Aizawa: "Yes, lord knows he's gonna need someone to talk to on the way back and I cannot deal with him right now."

Katsuki: "So... what do we do with this guy?"

Katsuki: *jabs finger towards the shapeshifing villain who is tied and gagged with sero's tape snd spewing muffled curses at them*

Aizawa:"Hand him over to campus security and let them take care of him"

Katsuki: *nods and drags the screaming villain out the door with him*

Aizawa: "Im getting too old for this"

Later at the abandoned Chocolate Factory:

Aizawa, Katsuki, and a handful of cops walk into the Factory:

Izuku: *jumping up and down while waving his hand*

Cops: *rush over to arrest the villains*

Izuku: "Sensei! Kacchan!! Over here!"

Katsuki: "We know, idiot! We aren't blind!"

Villain 1 being arrested: *whispering* That's 'Kacchan'? I thought he'd be nicer"

Villains 2-4 also being arrested: *nod in agreement*

Izuku: *bounds over to Aizawa and Katsuki*

Izuku: "Sensei! Kacchan! You're not going to believe the day I've had!"

Izuku: *begins rambling*

Aizawa looks tiredly at Katsuki: "You take care of him, I have a big enough headache as it is"

Katsuki: *nods and turns back to listen to Izuku's rant and scold him for being reckless and getting in trouble again*

"Oh my gods, Will."

"One fire extinguisher? Two? Two. You can never go wrong with being prepared. Can you pass me the power adapter --"

"We are going on a two day errand."

Will continues to mutter to himself, trying to squeeze the zipper closed on his third duffle bag. Nico drags his hand down his face.

"Will. Sweetheart. We are going one state over, they have the same charging outlets."

Nico knew this was a bad idea. He knew it. He told Chiron it was too far, he told Mr. D it was too soon, but does anyone listen to him? Nooooo. It's all this was your idea, boy and Nico, dear, I really think exposure is the only thing that will help.

Nico is getting very tired of exposure.

"This is your fault, Lester," he mutters to himself. "I'm not sure how exactly but I will arrive there shortly." Mentally, he adds it to the list of things he will read in an accusing voice at Apollo next time he visits for his monthly penance. Maybe he'll enlist Kayla's help, she'll love that. She can shoot rubber arrows for emphasis as Nico reads off his crimes.

"Will." He stands up from his boyfriend's once meticulously made but now mussed bunk and walking over to the dresser, kicking aside his one backpack to rest against the several Will has packed. "Will, that's enough."

It takes his hands on Will's scarred ones, but eventually he stops. Nico can feel his muscles spasming slightly, but he holds firm, waiting crouched next to the healer until his face stops twitching and the muttering fades to clunky, heavy silence.

"Where are we at, sweetheart?"

Will lets out a shaky breath. His eyes move rapidly under his eyelids, face so tense Nico can feel the tension headache in his own brow.

"Green," he admits, voice small.

Nico cannot bite back a sigh. He regrets it, when Will shrinks back; he runs his thumbs over the crests of Will's wrists to soothe.

"I need you to start telling me before we get to green," he chides, as gently as he can manage. "Whatever color is the step before green, I need to know then."

"There's no -- other color. I'm fine, and then I'm probably fine, and then I blink for a second and when I open my eyes three hours have gone by and my wrists are bleeding. So."

There are tears in Will's glaring eyes and Nico aches for him. He aches for this boy who is plagued, in more ways than one, and has no war to distract him from the consequences of it. He aches for this boy who is trying so hard to unlearn everything that is hurting him.

Nico slides down to the floor next to him, gently working the fire extinguisher out of Will's hands. It takes a few tries, but he gets it, finally, and when he has tossed it far enough that Will can't grab it again he massages the stiffness out of Will's bloodless fingers, holds him through the new round of twitching.

"Connecticut has statewide problems with their firefighting programs," Will mumbles. "Lawmakers frequently put forth bills that affect volunteer liability."

"We're not going to get caught in a fire," Nico promises.

Will only shakes his head, sagging into Nico's hold. He breathes jaggedly. When he twists his fingers into Nico's shirt, Nico curls against him, holding tightly, imagining that he can take all the terror that lives in Will's head, all the visions, and banish them to the depths of Tartarus where they belong. He imagines that he can hold his boyfriend tight enough that the tension of terror that plagues him so constantly snaps. He imagines that his hands are cool enough they freeze through the inferno of uncertainty that blazes so brightly in the dead center of Will's chest.

"Repeat it after me," Nico says quietly. "We are not going to get caught in a fire anywhere that doesn't already have an extinguisher nearby."

"More fires occur in wildlife areas than in --"

"Repeat it, Will."

"We are not going to get caught in a fire," Will repeats. He purses his lips, eyebrows furrowing stubbornly. "...Probably."

Nico, despite himself, smiles. That is as good as he is going to get.

"We're absolutely killing step one. Step two is going to be choosing which two pairs of socks you are going to bring on our two day errand."

"What?! You don't only bring two pairs of socks anywhere!"

You don't, and he's right, or so Nico has been told. At the very least he got the Raised Eyebrow of Judgement from Reyna last time he visited and brought one (1) stick of deodorant and his DS in his backpack, but it's fun to see this version of Will -- the hot, indignant one, who stands with his hands on his lips, full Southern pout, and explains listing on his fingers all the ways Nico was raised in a barn.

(It is a relief, too. But Nico tries to focus on the fun.)

"--s'pose you'll tell me no water bottles next! I'm --"

"You can buy a water bottle literally anywhere."

"That is not the point!"

Slowly, as Will rants, Nico reaches for his bags. The wilder stuff he puts back -- the fourth pair of jeans, despite the fact that Nico has never seen him wear hip to ankle anything in all the time he's known him; the six different pairs of extra shoelaces; the defibrillator; the iron supplements; the aforementioned power adapter. Anything that can be purchased at a corner store or lifted, if necessary and Will is distracted, from the nearest Walmart.

He keeps the old, faded photograph. And leaves the three pairs of cargo shorts, even though it is January and it physically pains him.

"Put the hoodies back," Will frets. "I don't -- Chiron wouldn't let me check the weather."

"I'll put one back."

"Two?"

"One, and if you get cold, you can borrow mine."

"What if you get cold?"

"My frigid heart and I are used to it," Nico says drily. Will snorts, and -- a genuine thanks to the gods -- the cloudiness in his eyes starts to fade, the tension melts from his shoulders. Nico feels his own head begin to sag.

"You are not frigid," Will says. He shuffles back over and leans on Nico's side as he works. "Thank you. You make it -- easier."

Nico presses a kiss to the side of his head.

"Any time," he promises, and in his head he swears it. He rocks them, slightly, and relishes in Will's limp, tired arms wrapped around his elbow, in Will's slow, deliberate breathing. He pushes the bag to the side and turns into him fully, pressing his lips to Will's forehead and lingering, holding, breathing in the windswept smell of his hair and the warmth of his body. "Anything, as long as you need it."

Yk one tiny thing that has me still reeling? Is the fact that Suzanne explicitly used the word R*ped. I had to stop and put the book down for a moment because we knew it happened in this universe a lot. Look at Finnick. Or it’s even alluded too about peacekeepers etc. But. She’d never actually explicitly stated it before. And the fact that this is one of the first things Haymitch worry’s about had Happened to Lenore Dove whilst in custody? Man. I’m sick.

You can almost make an internally consistent Studio Gainax Mecha Anime Unified Timeline, but the one hitch is that Gunbuster and Evangelion both start in 2015 and portray a very different status for Earth and Humanity.

Maybe Nadia is the branching off point for both. In one timeline humanity investigates the Atlantean technology in the Nautilus and by 2015 has homing lasers, photon torpedoes, and degeneracy reactors. In the other timeline humanity finds the Atlantean base in Antarctica, investigates the body of Adam, and by 2015 has armored cyber kaiju.

Maybe have the closed timeline loop of Evangelion Rebuild erase the Second and Third Impacts from history, returning things to normal by 2015...just in time for the Space Kaiju to invade.

In any case, there's a pretty straight throughline from Diebuster to Gurren Lagann. When Lal'c and Nono draw on "hard work and guts" they're unwittingly tapping into the energy source that would later be scientifically codified and technologically harnessed as Spiral Power.

Terrence Suave lore woww

So my take on the guy:

My headcannons

I think that Terrence, while he was still just a regular toppat, used to be very reckless and jumping into action guy, skilled with using guns especially, crazy ass who loved the thrill of dancing with life and death and eliminating his opponents while other toppats would go ahead with the plan. As you may imagine, these traits carried on to when he eventually became the leader, and unfortunately being reckless and thinking only about the thrill of the fight, isn't exactly what a good leader should have.

Which could make for a good backstory for him. I imagine that on one heist he would land in a situation in which him and Sir Wilford IV were trying to bust their way into some bank, or a museum, and the moment guards showed up, Terrence was quick to jump into action, however as he was caught up in the fight he didn't notice the moment Sir Wilford IV was captured. It turned out there were more guards than they thought there would be, and Terrence wasn't able to fight them all off, so to save himself he fled the scene.

The clan was devastated by the news of course, Sir Wilford IV has been one of the greatest leaders they've had in their history, it's hard to find a replacement for someone so great. That's where Terrence realized he could use this to his advantage. He told the clan that Sir Wilford IV has chosen him as the next leader, and toppats believed him (not everyone 100% believed him but without Sir Wilford IV the clan was in shambles, so it's better to just believe that maybe what Terrence is saying is true, it's not like they know better).

So out of respect of Sir Wilford's IV supposed last wish, they make Terrence the leader. Terrence has been known as one of the most dangerous and skilled fighters in the clan at the time, but that doesn't really equal that he'd be a good leader.

For Terrence, being the leader was essentially just the fact that he could do whatever he wants, and get a bit more from the treasure than the toppats. Which again, not a good thing to have as your leader. He was also just really ignorant to what the clan needed, or to what was effective (such as his signature move being that he liked to "make an entrance" during every heist, he didn't like the more effective methods such as sneaking in, he would deem them as boring)

So, the toppats decided that maybe he could still be a good leader if they gave him someone who could lead him in the better direction and help with the plans. Reginald has been going against Terrence's plans on many heists, and it would usually turn out good for the clan because he was good at what Terrence wasn't, so the clan suggested that maybe he could be Terrence's right hand man.

Yeah figure out how that went...

Terrence is the type of a guy who's really independent and doesn't like others criticizing him or his plans, so Reginald out of all things was just annoyance to him at most.

While Terrence would put up this facade of him being so self confident and great, he hated being compared to other leaders because it would make him feel like he's bad at what he's doing (which. he was, but he didn't like hearing it from others). He hated to admit it but he really missed the Sir Wilford IV era, and he constantly felt like people hate him for not being the kind of leader Wilford was, which would make him more and more paranoid for his life towards the end of his reign.

SO UH YEAH LONG POST SORRY....

But it's just fun to characterize this guy, he's still terrible to others on some level but he's not like 100% evil, he's just very self centered and when given the opportunity of being the leader - he takes it, even if he's not built for it, and he knows it but decides to ignore it and pretend like he knows what he's doing by using the same tactics as when fighting, which is not thinking ahead and just busting his way in violently. He's greedy, he wants money and power, and to be remembered by the clan but fails miserably and soon gets the clan to turn on him instead.

He's got some people out there who he could call friends, and used to get along with Sir Wilford IV pretty well (who he misses sometimes, and asks for advice even though he's long gone). And honestly, he could turn out to be just a bit of a self centered guy who no one really minds, and who could fulfill his role as a distraction, or a skilled fighter, if it wasn't for the fact that he was so certain of being the leader leading to everyone hating him for his ignorance and seeing all his flaws as something that puts all of the clan in danger.

so louis walking into the sun was a parallel to louis walking into the sun when lestat turned him but also a parallel to louis wanting to kill himself after claudia's departure to europe and then louis begging armand to stop torturing daniel is a parallel to claudia begging lestat to leave louis alone and then louis saying that he can hear daniel and armand but he can't see them is a parallel to claudia mostly hearing and not seeing louis and lestat fighting and then there's put me in my coffin armand vs put me in my coffin louis louis and then armand carries louis to the coffin bridal style the same way lestat did to louis in s1 and then louis gets in that coffin and experiences severe physical pain as he did the first time he got burned and also after lestat dropped him from the sky and then burned louis drinks armand's blood just as burned claudia drank lestat's blood and then louis tries to distract armand from lestat as claudia tried to distract lestat from louis and then lestat says I love you to louis and screams his name as he did throughout the fight scene with louis and then

Sometimes I just think about how absolutely TERRIFIED V is of Cyn vs just the solver in general. Her behavior in specifically episode 8 when Cyn is around is SOOO interesting.

V uses her knife hands unnecessarily through the whole show - she uses them just as much as, if not more than, her normal hands. It's probably a mix of show and a genuine defensive habit she's picked up by the time the show actually starts.

Even during episode 8, when she's being emotionally vulnerable to what she believes is N, the knives are out. She's probably tense, both from the fight AND from the emotional weight of spilling these secrets she's kept for ages.

And yet, when faced with Cyn, who she KNOWS is a threat... she retreats the knives, placatingly, and IMMEDIATELY begins pleading. This is V, who has never hesitated to resort to violence before. And it's not the solver itself she's scared of, its CYN. There's a brief moment in episode 3 where, when Uzi's solver activates, V startles and pulls her gun on her. In episode 4, when Uzi is possessed by the solver, V is clearly rattled, but she still has no problem taking action against and fighting Uzi. In these instances, she WAS afraid, but not enough to not be able to take action. But here? Her confidence completely falters. Her first instinct is to make herself as small as possible and try to reiterate that she can still do whatever Cyn wants of her (and she most definetly gets this behavior from having to serve the Elliotts on Earth, and from being disposed of even before that.. do a good enough job, or you can easily be thrown out. Something something, she's never been free, and at least being gleeful about murder means she's ok with it, so therefore she's not being forced!!! Any way to get autonomy back. But that's a side tangent in itself).

When Cyn nearly eats N's heart, V is in no way being prevented from trying to reach him. Sure, J is there, but V is clearly not afraid of J, having just fought her. But faced with the drone she worked so hard to keep safe being at risk, who she'd clearly done so much for... She freezes. Because this is CYN. And Cyn RELISHES mocking her fear, like she KNOWS V won't make a move to stop her.

And even down to what she would have surely thought was when she and N would definetly die, when she is STILL technically free to get up and fly away, she freezes. It's all she can manage is to vainly try to defend herself and keep N's core sheltered. She's too terrified to even move but she's still trying to keep him safe to the end.. (side note, if you pay attention to them once Uzi shows up, you can see she's still covering him with her sword while he's out of commission, which is very cute. Presumably she stays with him while he regenerates, which is why they show up late to the fight)

V is just soo interesting. She tries sooo so much to be cool under pressure and unbothered, but Cyn's presence is enough to stop her completely. Very fun and very revealing dichotomy to her character, and seeing how she effects V makes Cyn much more personally threatening than her just being an entity employing some vague cosmic power manages to do
